I'm very fond of circus aesthetic, it has something magical in it and it feels like understanding of sorts (I have a band I like vv much, veeeery close to this theme, but that's for another time). Dunno if it's a little known fact, but that makes me smile nonetheless

SO! there's an actor who played the Phantom in the very first film adaptation of the book, sir Lon Chaney (amazing guy, my dude, my blorbo)

he also has two other roles to his name which is!!

"He Who Gets Slapped" 1924 (I believe it's at least one of the first films with a clown as a main character) and "Laugh, Clown, Laugh" 1928
