After watching Frozen II for the second time, I realized some things that seriously made me mad. This is going yo be a bit of a rant post, but before I begin I want to explain something.

No one can make a perfect movie. And sequels are ESPECIALLY hard. What they made here was beautiful, the animation was gorgeous and the team worked hard. These are my opinions as an individual so PLEASE dont see this as an attack, insult, or critisism made to harm.

My biggest issue with the Frozen series is Anna and Elsa's relationship. As we know, they were separated after their parents death. This would cause them to be close in their later years, but they feel so close its unrealistic.

Sisterhood is precious, and their relationship feels so forced. In the second movie, we see them come apart. Elsa insists on preventing any danger from harming Anna, while Anna insists on staying by her side. Until Elsa pushes her away. I felt like this was a big step- finally, their first argument! One they would overcome, emotions everyone would be able to understand!

Then they had Else almost die, so apparently all was forgiven. Their relationship doesn't feel healthy- it doesnt feel natural. Compare their relationship to Barley and Ian's, from Disney's Onward.

Anna and Elsas parents both passed, while Ian and Barley still had their mother. Still, they miss their father deeply, and you see that true remorse throughout the movie. Ian inherited the potential to use magic, while Barley did not.

This brings them CLOSER. Any other sibling pair would be spiteful, jealous of the other! This is a similarity Anna and Elsa have, but both have been so neglected, they have different independences. For example, Anna's independence is driven by her stubborn nature. While Elsa's independence is driven by her motivation.

Anna deserves much more. She too was separated from her sister, but SHE DIDNT KNOW WHY. I guarantee you, she thought it was all her fault as time went on. No parents, no sister, she was alone. THIS is why shes so dependant on Elsa, and thats why Christoph feels neglected by Anna. Mind you, in the original script, Anna was supposed to reject Christophs proposal. (Which would have left the series at a standstill because now theres literally no reason to watch the series? It also would have destroyed Christoph, after seeing how much Anna means to him in his kickass song, Lost In The Woods.) (Though lets be honest, a spinoff movie on Christoph? Yes please! Imagine if he found a strong, confident woman that protected him and gave him the love he deserves. That... Would make a hell of a plot.)

My thoughts aside, this was just a stupid post I chose to make. My ramblings may noy make sense but let me sum it up for the sake of anyone who reads this.

I feel:

-Anna deserves more, as a sister, a person, and a character in the series.

-Anna never asked to be queen, so why did she become queen near the end? Christoph doesnt seem like a king type, but he is a king;

-Anna and Elsas relationship feels REALLY forced. Its like the writers dont have siblings.

-Anna is too dependant on Elsa, which is devastating because I liked her character.

-THEY GOT OVER THEIR PARENTS DEATH MUCH TOO QUICKLY.

-Their parents death was not realistic, to be fair, this is a disney movie.

-Compared to Barley and Ian (Onward), Anna and Elsa look like SHIT in my opinion (Though to be fair, it isnt fair to compare two different movies.)

Altogether, I feel like Disney could have done so much more for Frozens sequel. The first movie was decent, but I felt no connection to the characters. Aside from the lizard, Christoph, and Sven.

I hope you find someone better than Anna, man. Goodness knows you deserve a gorgeous strong viking princess or something. 😂

I like fresh picked flowers on my table, I like honey lemon tea, I like pictures of baby goats. But if you disagree with the above list then your “cottagecore” blog is trash.

Hey I just found out that apparently fascists and the like are using cottagecore to subtly recruit people, by disguising fascist rhetoric with cute cottagecore/trad femme aesthetics. So I just wanted to say that this blog is not, and will never be in support of fascism or anything resembling fascism in any way.
