Zombie #10 - Zombie attack on Chinese subway.

The incident was caught on tape by a female passenger, who uploaded the clip to Chinese website Sina Weibo, China Daily reports.

The older man, a 67-year-old who has been identified only as "Chen," boarded the subway at around 8:30 a.m., according to Sina.com. The younger man, a 28-year-old identified as "Wu," reportedly shoved Chen out of the way as he scrambled to get a seat.  Chen then began chastising Wu for not respecting his elders, a witness told New Express Daily, according to China Daily's translation. The woman says the older man then punched Wu, resulting in a physical fight that ended with the biting scene in the video.  The witness noted that bystanders initially did try to break up the fight, but it quickly became so violent that they were frightened away. Both Chen and Wu suffered only minor injuries, according to Sina.com's translation of the Southern Metropolis Daily.  Neither man is facing charges, and both reportedly apologize for their actions. Even so, residents of Guangzhou may want to consider seeing if they can get in on the zombie apocalypse training offered by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, just to be safe.

I wonder if some of these cases can be caused by poor nutrition. We tend to lack certain nutrients nowadays and when our brain realizes that it introduce extreme cravings that can overcome reasoning. Such a case would be a man who was stranded on a life raft for months eating fish. The flesh of the fish did not provide the needed nutrients so his brain prompted him to eat just about everything on the fish.

Sorry for being so inactive! I've been really busy. I've heard that story before and it makes sense to me. What do the rest of you guys think?

FANNY PACK

THIS IS NO FASHION SHOW!

No doubt, your ZSK (zombie survival kit) is very important. It should contain everything you need for survival during an outbreak. Your life is going to depend on it!

….But what happens if you get separated from it?

Let’s say that you have to climb a tall fence, crawl into a tight space, or an undead grabs a hold to it. What are you going to do? Die trying to protect it? Well, if you care about living, you may need to just ditch it in order to live another day. You’ll lose a lot of vital and essential gear, but that doesn’t mean you’ll have to live without those things. Plan ahead and buy a fanny pack. You can find them on amazon and ebay for about $8. With it, you can store extra matches/lighters, flashlight, water purification straw/tablets, map, knife, rope, etc. so that you can always be better prepared.

How you use your fanny pack is totally up to you. You don’t have to use it as a back-up in case you lose your ZSK. You can also use it to supplement your current ZSK. Rather than storing often-used items in your bag, you can just store them in your convenient fanny pack. No longer will you need to dig through your bag for things like flashlights, maps, and knives. Not only that, but it’s much faster than having to stop, take your bag off, and digging through it.

It might also be a good idea to leave your fanny pack in the trunk of your car or at friend’s/girlfriend’s/boyfriend’s house if you find yourself spending a lot of time there. You aren’t guaranteed to be at home with your ZSK when you receive news of the outbreak. Maybe you’ll be at work and your home neighborhood is already overrun with zombies. No need to risk your life for your pack, but that’s okay because of your secondary “lite” pack.

….BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!

Other uses -Give it to someone else- If someone is in your party, you may want to let them hold on to it since it will essentially be a mini-ZSK. It could build confidence in them and make them feel safer knowing that they aren’t totally helpless. You just have to be careful of who you trust with it.

Is it weird that I chose my current bike based on how useful it would be if zombies came? Mine has plenty of room to carry supplies if I ended up needing to use it. It just takes some searching to find the right one. :D

Transportation: You’ve got a handful of choices but in a nutshell you’ve got Walking, Bike, Motorized Vehicle, or another Animal. Each has ups, each has downs.

Walking will tire you out, wear out shoes, and is generally the slowest, but is also the quietest, and leaves your hands free. Bikes move under your power, and can coast, but will require maintenance over time and must be walked though some areas. Motorized Vehicles are generally the loudest, require fuel (Be it a battery or gasoline) and can not squeeze into tight spaces. However, they do not tire you out, and can allow you to carry more. Animals allow you to carry slightly more, but require being fed, and special medical knowledge should something go wrong.

In light of recent news, in an effort to increase survival odds for some of you, I’m gonna (try) to post at least one tip like this a day. (I may end up using the post scheduler just to be safe.)

Zombie #9 - Man bites another passenger on El Paso bus.

El Paso police say 21-year-old Fernando Ureta attacked two passengers Friday afternoon inside a Sun Metro bus. Police say the driver tried to calm the man down, but he lunged and bit one man in the chest and the leg.  He also kicked an elderly lady.

When the driver stopped the bus, Ureta tried jumping into the back of a pick-up truck.  When the pick-up driver got out of the vehicle, the suspect punched him in the face. "Then he tried to confront the officers. One of the officers did deploy a taser and he was taken into custody without any further incident,” said Javier Sambrano with The El Paso Police Department. 

Police say the law doesn't allow them to test the suspect for drugs or alcohol. Sun Metro also says anytime an incident like this happens, they conduct their own investigation to see if anything can be learned to prevent something like this from happening again. 

I can't find anything saying if the man had a history of drug use or violence, if any one would happen to know any thing else about this or any other story please feel free to tell us!

Antique stores are such an awesome choice, especially antique malls. I work in one and on top of it being very easy to secure from zombies trying to force their way in, there are soooo many good melee weapon choices that you wouldn't be able to find easily any where else. Not to mention if it is an antique mall, there is probably a good stock of food in the back due to the large amount of employees and vendors.

Remember that zombies will wander. They’ll move to where they hear people, and try to imagine places where there are less people. Avoid hospitals, police stations, and stores like Wal-Mart. You want to avoid large masses of zombies. This also means staying out of cities. Small towns are the best. These places are not 100% void of zombies, but it should reduce the number that you have to face.

A guy named Fernando something bit a man in the chest and punched and kicked an old lady on a public bus in el Paso Texas. he later jumped into the bed of a truck and was tazed by law enforcement. there's a mug shot on facebook in busted in el pasos fb page. also the el Paso county sheriffs web page should have a report about it.

Zombie #8 - Former stripper/porn star may have eaten parts of Chinese student.

Police in Montreal revealed for the first time Tuesday that Luka Rocco Magnotta, accused of the grisly murder of a Chinese national studying in Montreal, is alleged to have eaten parts of his victim before sending other parts in the mail to political parties.

Montreal police investigators also said that the right foot, right leg and the head of Jun Lin, 33, are still missing.

Lin's torso was discovered in a suitcase outside a Montreal apartment building last week, sparking an international manhunt for Magnotta that Montreal police Commander Ian Lafreniere called the biggest in the Montreal force's history, involving police departments in 190 countries through Interpol and the help of 30 investigators from France's national fugitive search unit, once it was confirmed Magnotta flew to Paris from Montreal.

Magnotta was arrested Monday in an Internet cafe in Berlin.

An 18-hour search of the trash behind Magnotta's apartment that turned up body parts, bloodied clothing and papers bearing Magnotta's name helped identify the suspect, as did videos from outside apartment building and the post office from which he is alleged to have mailed a foot to Conservative Party headquarters in Ottawa, and another body part to the federal Liberal Party.

DNA evidence released Tuesday morning confirmed all body parts found came from Lin. The head of the victim was cut off overnight May 24-25.

Investigations are under way in several jurisdictions where Magnotta lived, but there is no confirmation he was involved in other crimes. He is suspected of killing cats and posting videos of the acts online.

Federal authorities in Germany and Canada are working out the details of his extradition to Canada to face a trial here.

In Berlin, Magnotta has indicated he will not fight extradition back to Canada, German authorities said Tuesday.

German police spokesman Stefan Redlich said the 29-year-old Canadian made a brief court appearance Tuesday at a Berlin police station.

"He told the judge he would not object to his return to Canada," Redlich said.

Martin Steltner, a lawyer and spokesman for the state prosecutor's office, said that once a judge approves Magnotta's extradition, the German government must also give its permission for Magnotta to be deported.

Redlich said Magnotta — a former stripper and pornographic actor — refused to discuss any other details of his case with the judge.

Man who ate another man's heart and brain attempted cannibalism once before.

A victim left partially blinded by a baseball bat attack at a Maryland university now believes a cannibalism suspect in another case may have been planning to eat his organs, too, his attorney said Tuesday.

When 22-year-old Joshua Ceasar regained consciousness after the attack last month at a Morgan State University dormitory apartment, he saw Alex Kinyua standing over him with a knife, said attorney Steve Silverman. Days later, Kinyua told investigators that he had eaten the heart and brain of a family friend he is charged with killing at his family's home in Joppatowne, according to charging documents.

"In hindsight, knowing what transpired only days later, Josh is convinced that Alex was going to cut open his body and likely consume his organs," Silverman said. What may have prevented it was two other apartment residents followed a blood trail from the front door and stopped Kinyua before he could use the knife and he fled into nearby woods.

Kinyua was waiting with a bat wrapped in barbed wire and chains when an unsuspecting Ceasar walked through the front door of the apartment Kinyua had been sharing with Ceasar's friends on May 19, Silverman said. Ceasar was visiting campus for another friend's graduation. He lost consciousness when Kinyua cracked him on the head, fracturing his skull and shattering his left eye socket. Ceasar is blind in that eye and doctors aren't optimistic that he will regain his sight, Silverman said.

Kinyua, 21, a U.S. citizen originally from Kenya and a Morgan student, admitted using a knife to kill and carve up 37-year-old Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie before eating his organs, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said when they arrested him May 30. The older man, a native of Ghana, had been staying with the Kinyua family for about six weeks at their townhouse in the Baltimore suburb of Joppatowne and disappeared May 25. His body was found four days later and investigators haven't given a possible motive.

A December campus police report obtained by The Baltimore Sun states that Kinyua was kicked out of an ROTC program after he punched holes in the walls of the cadet computer lab and a military instructor referred to him as a "Virginia Tech waiting to happen." The report said Kinyua was barred from campus until a meeting with school officials and that two officers didn't think a psychological evaluation was needed.
