Rest In Peace Ray Liotta.

Today, May 26, 2022, Liotta passed away in his sleep at the age of 67.

Liotta’s more well-known roles included his character Henry Hill from Goodfellas and Tommy Vercetti from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. However, back in 2013, Liotta would appear in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, in the zombies map Mob of the Dead, as Billy Handsome. In 2018, his character would once more appear in Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII, in the map Blood of the Dead.

When I was around the age of 12, Mob of the Dead was being announced. Back then, my older brother and I had our eyes glued to our small box we called a TV in his small, dark room. That didn’t matter because what I saw in the trailers leading up to the release of Mob held my attention. Maps that came before Mob of the Dead, Tranzit and Die Rise, could not—and will never—hold a candle to what I saw, to what I felt for these new characters fighting within a hellish version of Alcatraz.

The sheer amount of emotions I felt, the chills I got when I saw these new characters trying to escape Alcatraz as they fought their way through hordes of zombies as Malukah’s “Where are We Going” played over the characters’ quotes of seeking redemption. Anyone who knows me personally knows that Albert Arlington is my absolute favorite from this crew, but Ray Liotta’s performance voicing Billy Handsome when Billy’s far too deep into zombie-slaying or when Billy speaks to himself about the monster he’s become tugged at my heart strings, even when I knew that his character wasn’t exactly the greatest person. Fast forward to Blood of the Dead with the ciphers discussing more of Billy’s backstory, the character would also find a special place in my heart.

Though Blood of the Dead’s ending is one of two cutscenes I don’t like to revisit due to Richtofen’s speech before dying, it is in that cutscene that the journeys of the Mob of the Dead crew, Billy included, are finally set free from Alcatraz to finally Rest In Peace. Whether the ending within Tag Der Toten changes this or not, I’d like to think their fates were not affected in the slightest.

Many of us had been afraid for Tom Kane’s well-being not too long ago, but it is a sad day indeed that we say goodbye to Ray Liotta…but also remember—and continue to remember—what his character contributed to the story in general. Though Billy Handsome can be considered minor when we take the storyline as a whole, it brings me joy to know his character has become a fan favorite, even after so many years since his debut.

And so, I say, Rest In Peace, Mr. Ray Liotta and Billy Handsome.

MOTD X reader preferences! How they kiss you and how you two sleep

Salvatore DeLuca

Salvatore is an old soul from a traditional Italian household, so he isn't up to date with how romance is nowadays and that includes showcasing affections. However, he is down to learn as long as you are there to help him adapt to that change.

Though he isn't as romantic as Finn in that romance department, he certainly isn't like Billy either. While he won't ever turn down an endearing kiss on your forehead in front of the crew, he is not going to wrap his hand around your throat when he kisses you. He doesn't care if Billy and his S/O are doing it consensually, it doesn't sit right with him. He doesn't care if Finn and his S/O are more prone to kiss more explicitly in public, he's head of the crime family and isn't going to let you be seen as a target to Torrio and his men. Besides, he’s far more eager to get you alone.

Contrary to popular belief within his crew, Sal doesn’t turn into some sex-crazed loon when the kisses become longer and become difficult to breathe. Being a crime lord isn’t the happiest—or the safest—job in the world and to him, it’s like a heavy burden being lifted from his shoulders when he gets to come home to essentially melt in your arms and your kisses. Helps him to unwind from everything he’s been through and everything he’s seen and it does something to him on the inside knowing that you’ll be there, waiting for him.

Though, Sal is--and will always--be quite cheeky. Expect his hands to dip lower until he’s got your behind in them, pushing you even closer to him when the kisses become heavy.

Favorite sleep position: Doesn’t matter as long as you’re by his side. Want to spoon? He’s down for it! Want to rest your head on his chest? Sure! Want to take all the covers? Please, don’t push it.

Billy Handsome

If you were expecting a helpless romantic that would bend over backwards for you...you won’t find it with Billy Handsome.

Don’t misjudge him. He loves you, in his own sort of way, and that way just doesn't involve him reenacting those dramatic and overly passionate kisses from those old movies with you. It just doesn’t do anything for him. Throw in a loveless, rough upbringing and his line of work into the mix and you'll come to realize that Billy isn’t going to change his thoughts on it. It is best that you respect that.

Besides, what he lacks in affections are made up for when it comes to his roughness and teasing that know no limits when he has you to himself. Get ready to be left at his mercy. He’ll leave you breathless as he presses his lips hard against yours as if he were trying to devour you in one bite. He’ll relish in the noise that you’re bound to make when he pulls your bottom lip between his teeth. He’ll abandon your lips entirely because your neck certainly looks enticing to him; you’ll fuss at him for it but be prepared for the neck bites and the open kisses he’ll plant. They’re bound to leave you wanting more and knowing this, Billy slips away with that knowing smirk on his face. Like a little shit, he’ll make sure that the marks he made won’t be the kind that can easily be hidden away. Unlike Salvatore, Billy wouldn’t give two shits if Torrio and his men try to go for you; they’re bound to think twice when they realize Billy will be close behind you if they tried to do something stupid.

Favorite sleep position: He certainly isn’t the type to cuddle and he’s not planning to anytime soon. It’s enough he’s sharing his bed with you--even going through the hassle to make it clean and comfy for you--so it would be best not to push the ‘Sal’s-Right-Hand-Man-Is-Actually-Taking-Orders-From-Someone-Else’ card.

Finn O'Leary

The Irish himself once said that he’s been with plenty of folks but you’ve left him speechless. Which is good because he’s ready to be a better partner this time around. Having been previously married, he’s admitted that he wasn’t the best--or the most loving--partner to Angela. Realizing the mistakes on his part, Finn does begin to change, shedding the ‘tough man’ act away just in time when he meets you. After some time moving away from Angela and wishing her the best of luck in finding a better partner, he is ready to give love another shot and ready to do things right by you.

Out of the four, Finn makes it very clear to everyone that he adores you. He isn’t shameless about the fact either which surprises his crew as not too long ago, he had been rather icy and formal towards Angela when they were around the couple. Kissing you in front of them elicit varying reactions out of them: Billy has to turn away when you two are going at it, Salvatore has to get both of you to quit it as he’s doing his damndest to discuss their next hit, and Albert--having been seated between you two by Salvatore in an attempt to break up the kissing--has to sit there with a deadpan stare and endure you blowing kisses towards Finn, who catches them. He’ll be looking back at you with the most warming smile imaginable.

Being the most affectionate nowadays, expect light pecks in the morning when the both of you rise and kisses that’ll leave you wanting more before he has to head off for who knows how long because Salvatore demands it at night.

Favorite sleeping position: Finn has upgraded from ‘sleeping on the side of his wife’ to ‘holding you in his arms’. Certainly pulls in an effort to brush his teeth very well, knowing whiskey breath shouldn’t have to be a 24/7 smell.

Albert Arlington

Albert is no genius when it comes to social interactions, let alone romance. Years of self-hatred have taken its toll on the man, so when the opportunity came for his first kiss, his whole body and everything within him froze. In fear, in disappointment, and the fact that he had no clue about what he needed to do. He is thankful that you gave him the little push by being the first to press your lips against his. Awkwardly, he stood there during it.

Out of the four, he is the least likely to kiss you in front of the crew, preferring to keep his privacy between you and him and away from the prying eyes of the others who would certainly torment him because of his newfound affections.

Even when the both of you are alone, romance in general is a concept he is still trying to grasp at. It’s not that he doesn’t believe you and your affections for him, it’s more of dealing with the doubts that course through his head that makes him feel very anxious around you. He doesn’t want to step over boundaries but he also wants to assure you that he adores you; it’s a battle that leaves him feeling like he can’t ever win. Give him the time and support that he needs.

When he does come to terms, he soon sees you as one of the few things within his life that is worth living for. You’re his muse, you’re the one he’ll immediately find at his corner when he needs someone to have his back, and he is going to do his very best to show you how much you really mean to him. Expect the first kisses from him to be light pecks on the cheek. He’ll come around soon enough with those light pecks finding their way to your lips.

The moment he lingers on your lips longer than usual, his thoughts are a whirlwind within his mind and somewhere within him starts to ache. YOU want to be at HIS side? YOU love HIM? YOU are actually here before him, meeting HIS kiss with as much valiance and want? Don’t be alarmed when his hand comes up to cup your cheek suddenly, he really just wants to savor this very much real moment.

Favorite sleeping position: Ever so slowly, he’s becoming used to the cuddling in bed. The only thing he won’t ever admit out loud to the others is the fact that he’s the one curling in your arms more often than not.

Sal taught Billy to speak Italian so whenever he rants or starts yelling at Weasel in his native language, Billy's the only one who can understand him. It's his way of influencing Billy in both good and bad ways without the other two being able to come into it.

Hello my friend, I got a cute headcannon that has to do with Tank Dempsey. Tank Dempsey finds a baby kitten and he takes care of it, he grows attached to the kitten as he takes care of it, one day while sitting on couch with the kitten in his arms, he starts thinking of names for the little guy but one name sticks out in his mind, Peter. He was reminded of his best friend, Peter McCain and he decides in that moment to name his kitten Peter to honor his friend. He’s a good cat dad to his baby.
