How accurate a portrayal of Catholicism is Blasphemous

The portrayal of catholicism in Blasphemous is not accurate per se, but it understands catholicism as mythology and moral philosophy better than any other fictionalized Christianity I have ever seen.

one of the things I find most frustrating about people is how bitterly they resent reminders that they have agency and power in situations they have been groomed into believing they are inherently incapable of wielding agency and power.

Not a bold take here, but I believe nevertheless that our current way of producing and consuming electronics (I speak globally here) is not sustainable and built on huge human suffering. On the logistical level, virtually all of the world's microchips are made in a single factory on Taiwan because every single technology company outsourced it to them. Any conflict or disaster could simply stop the delicate supply chains that have their point here and make anything related to microchips, that is, our entire lives become much much harder. It is, in fact, very likely this might happen in our lifetimes and might lead to a major crisis in the first world.

This does not mean that computers or robotics shouldn't get produced anymore because that's a stupid idea by jokers. It means that the world needs to rethink how we make and consume electronics. Stupid fashion items like iphones are only possible because of this system; a tool, like a smartphone is, a very useful tool, shouldn't be needed to be replaced with each new model but endure. Computers should last longer and be upgradeable. I'd even go as far as to say that the power of a device should be proportional to its function; if a rugged brick phone can do the job, it will do the job. The exploitation of African countries for mining cannot continue, any international trade must be done in their terms and with the rights of their workers fully respected, no matter the price the end consumers will have to pay.

This cannot happen in a world where computers are seen as luxuries instead of tools and where capitalism creates demand.

I feel like you never really appreciate just how little about the world you know and just how small your own perspective is until you internalize the reality that most linguistic traditions also have within them completely different approaches to the humanities, and especially history and historiography. If you read a history of medieval Europe in French or Russian, they're not simply the same content as an English-language history in a different language, but instead embody completely different worldiviews, emphases, historiographical traditions, and academic traditions more broadly, and this is true for every language (you can feel this really keenly if just go on Japanese or Chinese-language wikipedia and take a look at how the sensibilities around even just organizing information on a topic are completely different from English wikipedia)

Potential New Method?

okay i wouldn’t say a method as the void is literally within you but i saw this on reddit and attempted it and i felt my body lift up in a way, it was so cool. it’s a visualisation technique as if you are hypnotising yourself. you want to imagine a pendulum with your eyes closed, one hanging in front of your eyes now imagine it swinging, left and right, follow it with your eyes. affirm any affirmation you want as you visualise this swinging you want to be hypnotising your self that you are in just a black emptiness, that’s what your mind is gonna believe cos you are hypnotising yourself and moving your eyes left and right really fast puts your body into REM sleep a lot quicker. its so cool, lemme know if you manage to get in.
