E3 of King of Drag is really showing the fundamental differences between the arts that are Drag Queenery and Drag Kingery, because the acts that you'd expect to be rewarded going on Queen rules (DVD and Henlo's very technically impressive costumes with limited performance elements/the costume is the performance) are safe or low and the acts that win are about story and performing character/concept (Molasses and Perka).

And Sasha really is the perfect judge for this show bc she performs in both mediums and understands the differences, but is also able to give critiques that a Queenery-primed audience will feel satisfied by.

If you were going to superimpose MDZS characters into Dropout roles (Make Some Noise host, Dirty Laundry contestant) how would you do so and why is NHS the Game Changer host :)?

Oh my god what an incredible question. NHS is definitely the Game Changer host and thus also the Make Some Noise host. I think MianMian hosts Dirty Laundry, and then Nie Mingjue hosts Um, Actually with Meng Yao as the factchecker.

Wei Wuxian is incredible at Make Some Noise, like, freakishly so. I'm actually imagining him, Jiang Cheng, and Lan Wangji as the original Noise Boys in this AU, with Lan Wangji doing uncanny impressions while entirely deadpan. Lan Wangji is also the undisputed champion of Breaking News - the whole cast is desperate to make him laugh and he simply refuses.

I enjoyed the first episode of Murray Hill's King of Drag on Revry! It's wild how I feel like I've known people similar to all these different folks. Very excited about the show overall.

The contestant who stood out the most to me was definitely King Molasses.
