My solution is officially done! What a journey! Long nights and youtube tutorials by my side, I came out with a product I can be proud of. The picture above shows the interactions between all the pages in the app. Phew, that is a lot!

It's time for the final stretch!
It's been a while since I put anything here. There are several reasons for this, the main one being that I have had the flu for over a week now, unfortunately...
Tumblr media
But this will not get me down!
I will admit that I am behind on my written assignment. I have small bits and pieces, but nothing major. So today I focused on organizing what I have to do the next week's time.
First I sat down and answered all the potential exam questions, to make sure that I had all the information fresh in mind.
Then I looked up Philip's recommended structure of the assignment, and as of now I am getting started on actually writing my assignment! It's always a bit scary and overwhelming, but I feel confident that I will get a fine product out the other end.

So I will dive into it! See you on the other side!

Building my prototype
So, the last couple of weeks have been spent learning how to use the prototype program Figma, which I will use to make my app prototype.
There was some initial frustration caused by not being familiar with the program yet, and also the fact that my main concept for the app (an interactive map) contains some complicated features.
But with the help of Youtube and Figma Community I am well on my way towards a functioning prototype.
Today, I am circling back to branding of my case company. I have not yet made my analysis of this, but now that I have started on my app, I feel that my project has a bit more direction, and hopefully this will help me.
Here is a little preview of my app:
Until next time!

Design Thinking
Tumblr media
Get the creativity flowing!
Today we met Simon who is going to teach us about design processes.
We made some exercises, and then started on our wireframe for our case company, as shown in the picture above.
This is just the beginning, more to come!

Got a bit more organized today with the process-mapping. I am just learning to use Visio now, but I think I did okay to illustrate the journey through Knuthenborg. The timeline is an approximation from my own experience in the park, and not based on otherwise collected data.
I guess the next step is to look more into segmentation, targeting and positioning. I am feeling a bit frustrated because I don't really know where to start, and where I am going.
What I do know is what my initial thought was for this project. I wanted to make a digital solution to improve the customer experience in the park. Specifically by creating/improving the communication channels between staff and customers. Optionally rethinking the entry/exit procedures, to improve flow and be in control of capacity limitations.
But how to get from these thoughts to a good project rooted in multiple theories, I don't know. I guess we'll see what happens.
Until next time!

Processes
So, the idea that sparked last time I wrote here, has been developed a bit further.
I did a lot of brainstorming and collaborated with Philip, to figure out whether or not it was a good idea. And we agreed that Knuthenborg Safaripark is a viable option for a project.
So, since that time, I have brainstormed. Based both on my own experience in the park, and also other guests complains/wishes on Trustpilot.
I decided that it was a good idea to categorize the complaints, and ended up with 4 top complaints:
1: Guests does not (cannot) see the animals 2: Bad customer service 3: Bad communication on changes/closures 4: Tickets cannot be moved/refunded
Next step is to do some process-mapping, so right now I am having fun with Post-it notes and a lot of wall space. Might upload a picture of that process later today.
Until next time!

Day 1: Idea-city
So, first day back at school, starting the exciting world of Digital Track. I was a bit nervous as I usually am when embarking on a new adventure. But luckily my classmates are nice, and that certainly helps.
During the summer I have been racking my brain for an idea on a company I could use for the project. And honestly, I have been completely empty of ideas. It was great to hear some of the ideas around the classroom, and I am considering joining forces with Mike from Autoteknolog, who has decided to do his project on Thansen where he is currently employed parttime.
But I can feel that I'm not to excited about this project, so on my way home I tried to think again about what I have been doing this summer. I thought about last Friday, where I went to Knuthenborg Safaripark with my family, and an idea sparked.
I'm not too sure yet whether my idea is good or not, but first thing tomorrow I will dive in, read reviews and brainstorm on inputs and challenges. And then we'll see.
Until next time!
