dad!zuko means so much to me bc his father was so cruel and heartless so everything he’s learned about being a father was from iroh.

when zutara’s first child is born, zuko cries buckets. he hardly puts them down. even when the baby sleeps, he holds onto them and keeps them warm.

he vows to love his kids unconditionally.

zuko is such a great father, so loving and supportive bc he never got that from ozai.

he never wants his children to think, even for a second, that he doesn’t love them.

katara has a whole scrapbook of zuko with their kids just being cute as hell. zuko looks through it quite frequently.

it makes me so sad when i think about how ursa would’ve loved katara and kya would’ve loved zuko. zutara treat each other as equals and with sooo much respect and their mothers would see just how much the other means to their kid and omg i need a minute

Zutara antis are the weirdest ppl on earth to me bc how do you see him lay down his life for her and her subsequently heal him while panicking and go "they would've been toxic!!" How do you watch the southern raiders in it's entirety and believe their relationship remained unbalanced and Bad and Problematic. HOW do you see his respect for her and her concern for him after they became friends and believe they would've been a bad and ugly couple. Whether you ship them or not, they are FRIENDS and their relationship was actually one of the healthiest once she forgave him. People won't even admit they were friends who cared for each other like are you THAT threatened by a non canon ship 20 years after yours became endgame? Are you really, seriously that bothered by their dynamic being nice and friendly? Be fr. Not shipping them is one thing but fully denying that they're friends who care about each other because you're so bothered by the IDEA that other people believe they would've worked romantically is weird as hell.

[Katara's voice speaking over a shot of a riverbank littered with garbage and dead fish, some of them with weeping sores, two heads or other various deformities]: this is yet another example of the kind of reckless environmental devastation created by big Fire Nation corporations. They used to say this river was protected by a spirit called The Painted Lady, but the townsfolk say she was driven out when the factory polluted the river.

Zuko: You know the Painted Lady is not actually a real Fire Nation spirit, right?

[The video switches to PiP mode, and Katara is visible in the right-hand corner of the screen, smiling at someone offscreen.]: What, is this another "spirits aren't real" lecture from my adoring boyfriend?

[Zuko comes into view of the camera and leans down, resting an arm on the back of Katara's computer chair]: No, I mean that she actually used to be a real person, unlike Agni or the Dragon Emperor. She was killed during the clan wars, and they say the river ran red with blood for days after. That's why she's always depicted wearing red, despite being a water spirit.

[Katara looks up, reaching a hand up to cup Zuko's face]: Hey, babe?

Zuko: What?

Katara: Why are you always talking about blood?

[Zuko, shrugging]: The Fire Nation has a really bloody history.

[Katara twists and leans up to peck Zuko on the lips, her palm lingering against the side of his face for a moment, then sits back down and grins at the camera.]: His Fire Nation expat is warring with his inner mythology nerd. Isn't he cute?

Zuko, deadpan: Yeah, that's what I'm here for.

y'all i started watching tlok for the first time and i wanna post my thoughts on it as i go. i already did ep 1 on twitter but I'm thinking of also bringing it over here as well.

i've obviously heard things about tlok but i've never seen it bc i just know i'd be incredibly hypercritical of it bc atla is my favorite show of all time and ik they change some of the lore and i DONT LIKE THAT

BUT

i'm willing to give it a chance bc i can't just blindly dislike something without giving it a try. plus a waterbending avatar?? a girl avatar? absolutely

and ik she's muscular like lets fucking go actually

i love zutara bc not only are they a gorgeous couple but the snark between the two of them would be off the fucking charts. they're both so hot-headed and passionate and stubborn that they wouldn't let the other get away with anything and that's honestly what both of them need
