A little anatomy and my own headcanon Kurtis' tattoos practice <3

There has always been this thought in my head about the tattoos. Let me generally introduce it to You.

Since his father and the LV adepts tattooed him with LV-related imagery against his will, it would most definitely feel like his bodily autonomy has been taken without consent. Like Your skin is not really Your own anymore.

Thus, I am very inclined to think he would tattoo his own body when he gets older, with things that are meaningful TO HIM. Things that HE CHOSE. Not only as an act of rebellion against his father and LV's beliefs, starting a kind of battle happening on the field of his own skin - but also mainly because it would feel like taking his own freedom and body back.

I might have made a joke or two at the beginning, but at this point I've seen many toxic takes and excessive criticism concerning Kurtis' patched version in TRAOD remaster. I don't want to pontificate here since I'm an ignorant concerning anything related with programming, modding, patching or remastering, and I absolutely don't understand how engines work, but I am still glad we TRAOD fans, the outcast corner of the TR fandom, are getting anything at all in this year of our Lord 2025, after all hope was lost.

Kurtis' first remaster version - and this is my own opinion and nothing more - looks fantastic with his stylish, sexy locks, but that hair has no physics and as some fan fellows have pointed out, original TRAOD had hair physics so it was only logical the patched version brought that forth. Also, he looked kinda off tune with Lara's first remastered model, which was more loyal to her original 2003 model.

Kurtis' second version not only has hair physics, he looks more like his 2003 OG self, and that's his strongest point and the reason, I presume, why this change has been implemented. Which is the correct direction in which to go, imho. I've always loved the OG Kurtis - who is the main reason we're all here, I guess - and anything that makes the remastered version look closer to his original is the right thing to do. Also, now he's more in tune with remastered Lara who also sports new hair physics.

I am just glad we're getting anything about my estranged, favourite game ever after decades. And I am still amazed about what the remastering team have accomplished here. Definitely, I'm not gonna be toxic about such a futile matter which looks reasonably good anyway.

People is free to use Kurtis' first remastered version in any render or animation they deem convenient to create - and I HOPE they create.

Last but not least, this is not a direct or indirect reference to any user in any media, just wanted to share my thoughts after seeing many reactions in many medias. That's it.
