After experiencing the cancer cell arcs once more, I can't help but Feel™ about it

The way the cancer cell is so enraptured by U-1146 to the point where he calls a friend the guy who killed him twice (or his kind-hearted killer)

The way he says he has so much he wants to tell U-1146 despite actively working to end the body's life, which will kill them both

The way he calls U-1146 a contradiction........ caring so much but only capable of killing for the body's sake

How he cherishes the one time his life was saved............. And then stabs his once saviour once killer only to prevent him from having an active role in battle, thus taking away the one thing U-1146 can do to fulfill his duty and making him experience the powerlessness of a normal cell (the container even looks like one of those glass-like tubes where we see the cell duplication previously)

And to stab him he even took advantage of his kindness, targeting Killer T and exploiting U-1146's protective reaction.

I could even overanalyze the puppets and wings he grows as the companionship he could never truly have and the freedom he seeks with the end of their world... but I won't do that.

Bug or psychic? Those are interesting choices!

At first, I was honestly kind of thinking he'd be more of an ice or fighting type; more so a fighting type. Mostly because he strikes as somewhat cold initially, but there's a softie underneath that, hence the ice. And he's a white blood cell, so he "fights off" pathogenic stuff inside the body. However, after some thought, I can see why you landed on those two types.

From bug or psychic, though, I would honestly go for bug type, since he can even be seen being empathetic to the parasitic cancer cell, so I can see him being sympathetic than most towards bugs and decide to focus on bugs for that reason. He might even feel quite protective of them if anyone had anything bad to say about bug-types. Besides, he knows that bugs have their role in the ecosystem — some are pollinators, others assist in decomposition as well as mixing and aerating the soil —; there are "good bugs", just as there are "good bacteria" (one of which U1146 is known to have a soft spot for).

I think an additional type to whichever main type would almost certainly be "poison", because of the useful toxicity of white blood cells towards pathogens, but it wouldn't be this guy's main type... because U1146 is just too much of a softie for it to not feel ironic.

He's also probably have mostly physical, close-ranged combatants on his team, I think, with some special attackers.

If he had a bug-type gym, I think his six go to Pokemon would be:

I think he'd be very protective of his pokemon, and would sacrifice his own life for them if it came down to it. He'll give his pokemon nicknames. He'll likely come off as reserved and aloof when you first meet him, but if he sees you've got a good relationship with your pokemon while fighting, he'll soften up. He might even talk and hand out advice mid-battle. He's a pretty respectful opponent, and isn't one to brag or laugh at another person's loss and he knows how to take a lost battle well.

I was really bored and low on ideas so I made “crests” for different body systems? Idk what tf you’d call em but I had fun nonetheless lmao, I used to love doing geometric designs and don’t know why I stopped. Hiding explanations under the cut so you can guess which is which >:)

From left to right/top to bottom:

Digestive (enterocyte)

Immune (leukocytes)

Nervous (neuron)

Endocrine (thyrocyte)

Integumentary (spinous cell)

Musculoskeletal (skeletal myocyte)

Excretory (hepatocyte)

Circulatory (erythrocyte)

Respiratory (pneumocyte)

Reproductive (zygote)

Also some quick lore: in the cells’ language, the words they put on the crest are the same as the names of the systems (for instance “sanctuary” and “immune” are the same word but can mean either the system or the concept depending on context). I imagine they’d put a lot more emotion into the systems than we do and name them in kind of a way that implies respect and gratitude to the organs. Like, humans just said “this system digests things so let’s call it Digestive.” Meanwhile the cells said “this system provides us with everything we need to thrive, so let’s call it Prosperity” and I think that’s sweet lmao.
