SO, i think it'll just be easiest to declare hiatus here untill i finish up with all my final exams + entrance exams, aka untill around the start of july
my DMs here will still be open though and i'll be checking in every once in a while so feel free to stop by!! i'll also still be on discord and replying to RPs there when i can (so if anyone wants to strike up some proper plot to RP there, maybe we could work smth out !! but i do like to REALLY plot out some story before starting anything up on discord, i'm can be realll picky when doing discord plots whgehw) but again replies may come slow even there, it's just that tumblr rp is extra hard to keep on top of for me when busy as opposed to discord.
untill the start of july then, everyone, wish me luck ππ
#β β πΆπΆπͺ β β Κα΄ΚΚα΄Ι’ .α βΉβ β#UPDATE: ive decided to step away from tumblr rp as a whole :( perhaps one day ill return but for now this is the end of these blogs

Send 'Pen Pal' for a thread starter but instead of the usual narration, it consists solely of our muse's letters to each other.
Embrace the time skips and unreliable, first person narration that come with it.

ΠΠΠΠ NODDED SLOWLY, processing her words with a furrowed intensity, as if committing each suggestion to memory. "Eras," he echoed, shifting one of the thicker tomes in his grasp and reading the faded spine. "T-that makes senseβ¦ chronological o-order gives itβ¦ cohesion."
He crouched slightly, placing the books carefully into a rough row along the floor, already sorting them by century with cautious, deliberate hands. "N-narrative to the side, history central," he murmured, then hesitated, glancing at her again. His eyes lingered a second too long before darting away. "Itβsβ¦ a g-good balance. B-between function and feeling."
His hands paused over one of the smaller volumesβfiction, from the look of it. The corner of his mouth twitched. "Th-there are s-some stories," he said, quieter now, not quite a question. "Th-they should stay close too. Just in reach."
After a beat, he added as almost a joke, sheepish, "S-so you donβt g-get bored of th-the economists."
He would know more about organizing books than she would. She had been doing research sure, but she was never known as the most scholarly student. The words all started to blend together after a point. "I trust your judgement." Vertin said with a small nod before hearing his alternative.
"Hm, well, I normally reference the history books alot," She looked at her pile, there seemed to be alot of history books all things considered. "We could put them in order of era." She suggested with a small tilt of her head.
"Other than that...." She adjusts her hands slightly, attempting to get a better look at everything in the stack she held. "Anything narrative can be put to the side, and then any economic or other subjects can be put next to the history, I suppose." Though she was definitely one to reach for the narrative more, she wasn't the only one who used the books on this shelf.

WAX FROM FIRE, smoke so thin,
Snow that melts when sun shines in,
A fleeting dream as dawn appears,
An arrow drawn by-
ΠΠΈΠΌΠ°βs thoughts scattered as the unexpected collision jolted him from his quiet reverie. Whatever delicate thread of inspiration had been weaving itself into verse unraveled in an instant, lost to the air. It had begun with the sunsetβfiery gold melting into duskβthen shifted to dawn, to warmth, to fleeting things. A few more lines had started to form, but now? Gone.
Oh, well. It wasnβt as if he kept record of them anyway. He had tried, once, scribbling verses onto paper, but they never quite carried the same weight outside his mind. The best poetry lived in moments like theseβfluid, ever-changing, meant to be forgotten and reshaped anew.
He blinked, adjusting to the present. The shift in language was as sudden as the interruption itself, his hand hesitantly reaching out to steady the other.
"It is⦠alright," he murmured, the words unfamiliar on his tongue, softened by lingering disorientation. Then, more tentatively, "Y-you are⦠alright, too?"
001.Β Β Β the seaside ,Β as the sun is settingΒ . from ΠΠΈΠΌΠ°! [@zzimaa1999]
it is a cold sort of dusk; the waves dyed purple and pink by the skies stretching beyond the horizon, sea foam snow-white, and the sand a greyish hue beneath his feet. he takes it all in, even though the page opened up in his sketchbook remains vacant, for fear of spilling into the real world around him, or perhaps for the dissatisfaction of trying to gather it all up into a pencil drawing. instead, he tries to trace over the colours in his mind, tries to pinpoint their exact shades, with the intent to utilise them in a painting from memory, later. he is still not fully comfortable painting from life, and neither is life, it feels, comfortable with being so closely observed. thus he finds his distance from it. thus he finds his perspective.
so involved is he in finding it, however, that in backing away he manages to bump into something. someone. he could have sworn he was here alone. then again, his sight is not as good as it used to be. then again, he struck figures out of his art, he might have just taught his mind to ignore them also.
"monsieur! je suis desolΓ©β jeβ um, i am so sorry." on a good day, he could lead a perfectly splendid conversation in french. today was not that day.

ββββββ. Reverse:1999 Resource Guide
These are links to some of the archives, lorecrafters and guidemakers that I follow and regard highly for their expertise, dedication, and contributions to the community. Making this list is also for my convenience.
If you know other sources, please share them! I will edit the post and add them here. Maybe one day I will also contribute to transcripts on a separate blog. We don't have enough of such precious records for a heavily lore and story-based game! Feel free to share your lorecrafting website/blog/channel too!
Archives
Websites/Blogsites
Huiji (CN) - CN Fanwiki, written in CN, with consistent updates. Really goated. Gamekee (CN) - Another CN Fanwiki, also written in CN. Some pages may not be updated. Arcanist Sanctum (Global) - That's us! R1999 Logs (Global) - Has some main, event and anecdote story transcripts. Reverse: 1999 Wiki (Global) - EN Fanwiki. They may be behind on working through some profiles, records and transcripts.
Repositories
Myssal's Assets Repository (CN) - In-game assets. It has everything. Myssal just that goated. reverse 1999 png (CN) - PNGs/cutouts telegram. Russian language but you can use character tags by clicking on pinned message. They accept requests, but you probably will have to ask them in Russian. Their cutouts can be accessed and downloaded by going through post comments. Posts with arrows.
Documents
Abyss_Idiot's links (Global) - Transcripts, archives and general lore. Actually lots of records done by several Discord members. May not be updated. As of making this list, I haven't seen anything from 2.0 onwards.
Youtube
ε
«ε«η_Merui (CN & Global) - Event and main story playthroughs without commentary Reverse: 1999 Timekeeper (Global) - They have everything recorded. And I mean everything. Reverse 1999 Archive (Global) - On hiatus (?), they pretty much covered event and main stories up to Notes on Shuori.
Lorecrafting & Story Analysis
Youtube
Apeironite - Pretty chill format. Interesting in-depth analyses. As of now, I don't know any other YT content creator who tackles on game lore as much as he has. FructoseTolerant - While there have yet many Reverse:1999 character analysis content in her channel, once she does post one, it's really good. I recommend watching and listening to her thoughts!
Guidemakers
Websites/Blogsites
Prydwen (CN & Global) - Tierlists, psychube recs and character guides Gnomon (Global) - I am in-love with this website tbh. Has all character information, including sprites! Effect descriptions, material sources and descriptions, resonance build (up to R15), psychube recs, team recs, and very easy to follow guide on how to play each character + rotations! Also has information on series of dusks artefacts and mechanics, reveries in the rain guides, and tips for mane's bulletin! GAAAAAHHH!
Documents
Discord Community Tierlist (CN) - Tierlists, calculators, builds. Likely where most of the global theorycrafting started. bluforest's Scuffed Page for Recommended Resonance Layouts (CN) - Also has resonance codes! Spiritzhl's Unit Build Guide (CN) - Psychubes, resonance, portrays, reveries and euphoria info, critter rehabilitation guide. Arcalive Reverse 1999 (outdated) - Written in KR. Useful Tools
Kornblume (CN & Global) - Character planning and summoning history Closure++ (CN) - Planning and calculations, and written in CN. Here's MaTeIriA's guide to using it if you can't understand CN like me. It does have a built-in EN language option but it doesn't work for me. I don't know if it works for you. Depending on your device, you may also have to zoom out to see the entire page. Timekeeper (Global) - Summon tracking

FYODOR REGARDED THE BISCUT in her hand with the same quiet consideration he gave to most things. His fingers, still stiff with cold, took a moment before they moved, curling around the small offering with something between hesitation and inevitability. He did not eat it immediately. Instead, he turned it over in his palm, as if weighing something unseen. "P-perhaps hunger is not a-all I meant," he murmured, his voice quieter now, but no less burdened. "B-but thank you. It is st-strange to be given something w-without asking."
Her words lingered, twining themselves around his thoughts like creeping ivy. He tilted his head, eyes hooded, half-lost in the shape of her reasoning. "To lo-loathe unequivocally," he repeated, almost amused. "H-hate is a kind of fixation, no? It keeps a p-place alive in your m-mind whether you w-wish it or not." His lips curled faintly, the closest thing to a smile the cold would allow. "P-perhaps you know P-paris better than y-you think."
His fingers tightened slightly around the biscuit before he finally took a bite, chewing with slow deliberation. He hummed, whether in thought or approval, it was difficult to say. "Th-this place w-will stay with you," he echoed, a thread of certainty in his voice that had nothing to do with belief and everything to do with experience. "A-as it should. A-as it must. E-even if y-you forget it, it will r-remember you."
His gaze flickered toward her, sharp despite the way his lashes were weighted with frost. "Y-you do not s-strike me as one who s-simply passes through."
Perhaps not as concerned for propriety and tact as she should have been, Ginette addressed his fear as inevitable and not to be pitied. She would not want that for herself, therefore she did not offer it to her host. Instead she gathered a cousin of pity, sympathy. For her that was unusual enough to be remarkable. "Hunger, you say?" She dug briefly in a pocket for a biscuit, its age and provenance difficult to pin down. For that reason among others she found it easy to give away. "It's all I can offer," she admitted, regret but not guilt tinging her tone.
The mention of prison piqued her. She herself had never been quite so unlucky, but in the last years of her grandfather's life she had gained a deeply personal appreciation as he had related his life history. It conjured up pictures of this Russian jail without her ever needing to visit. The natural world might be brutal, but not with intent. That made man's cruelty far worse. Ginette nodded, not quite prepared to divulge the reason she aligned so closely with that experience.
She was pleased she had waited; his questions were fascinating and kept her gaze fixed on him as she considered an answer. "I think perhaps that gives you the clearest vision. You have opinions, but there is not one position only to blind you to all others. I loathe Paris unequivocally. I could not possibly see it clearlyβ so many live there, it cannot all be due to necessity."
A brief frown crossed her face as she assessed that perhaps that was true. She resurfaced still certain of her position. "This place will stay with me," she declared with a certainty that no one else could share. It was already an exception that had been allowed on board. "I believe every place makes at least one mark, or should. If you're only passing through, what is the point?"

€THE MUMMY (1999) β a collection of dialogues from γ
€γ
€γ
€γ
€the film. please change pronouns and verbiage as needed.
but for our love, we were willing to risk life itself.
you must go. save yourself.
only you can resurrect me.
but for my love of ___ i was willing to defy the gods.
i knew this was gonna be a lousy day.
personally, i would like to surrender. why can we not just surrender?
then let's run away. right now. while we can still make it.
give me frogs, flies, locusts, anything but this!
you are a catastrophe! Β why do i put up with you?
have you no respect for the dead?
i think you found something.
i've already dated it, this map is almost four thousand years old.
my dear girl, don't be ridiculous. we are scholars, not treasure hunters.
you burned it! you burned off the part with the lost city!
i lie to everybody, what makes you so special?
i tremble with anticipation.
how do we know that's not a load of pig swallow?
i found sand. i saw death.
could you tell me how to get there? the exact location?
for all the money we're paying you, something better goddamned well be under that sand.
personally, i think he's filthy, rude and a complete scoundrel. i don't like him one bit.
smashing day for the start of an adventure, eh, ___?
can you look me in the eye, and guarantee me this is not some sort of flimflam?
i have come to protect my investment, thank you very much.
i only gamble with my life, never my money.
what makes you so confident, sir?
the only thing that scares me, ___, are your manners.
still angry that i kissed ya, huh?
did i miss something? are we going into battle?
the last time i was at that place everybody i was with died.
and the fact that they say it's made out of pure gold, makes no nevermind to you, right?
by the way ... why did you kiss me?
i was about to be hanged, seemed like a good idea at the time.
why if it ain't my little buddy, ___. i outta kill you.
so what's the scam? you get 'em out in the middle of the desert then leave 'em to rot?
the devil himself lives out there.
i am going to kill you for this!
never did like camels. filthy buggers. they smell, they bite, they spit. disgusting.
what in bloody hell is this?
do you realize, we are standing inside a room that no one has entered in over four thousand years.
you're welcome to my share of the spider webs.
and it stinks to high heaven in here.
mummies, my good son. this is where they made the mummies.
let's be nice, children, if we're going to play together, we must learn to share.
we'll sneak up and steal that book right out from under them.
i say, what's our smelly little friend got himself up to?
oh my god ... it looks like β¦ it looks like a sarcophagus.
salt acid. pressurized salt acid. some sort of ancient booby-trap.
no. i believe if i can see it and i can touch it, then it's real. that's what i believe.
i say, bloody good show.
i know, you're wondering, what's a place like me doing in a girl like this?
i may not be an explorer, or an adventurer, or a treasure hunter, or a gunfighter! but i'm proud of what i am.
don't blame me, i don't even remember being there.
there is a curse upon this chest.
βdeath will come on swift wings to whomever opens this chest.β
it says, there is one, the undead. who if brought back to life β is bound by sacred law to consummate this curse.
the curse β¦ beware the curse!
i've never seen a mummy look like this.
oh my god, he was buried alive and he left a message.
it says: death is only the beginning.
in all of my research, i've never read of this curse actually having been performed.
you sure you outta be playin, around with that?
it's just a book, no harm ever came from a book.
would you quit playing, around? let's get outta here already!
i told you to leave or die, you refused, and now you may have killed us all. for you have unleashed the creature that we have feared for more than four thousand years.
no mortal weapons can kill this creature. he is not of this world.
i may have use for you. Β and the rewards will be great.
we must now hunt him down, and try and find a way to kill him, before he consumes the earth.
know this, the creature will be coming for you.
i thought you didn't believe in this stuff?
that's what i am to you? a contract?
ya little stinkweed, where did you slink off to?
yeah, well, we all got our little problems today don't we?
we are in serious trouble.
you saved me from the undead.
there's only one person I know who can possibly give us some answers.
i'm willing to go on a little faith here.
and you think this justifies killing innocent people!?
the creature must first try and regenerate, and then he will attempt to resurrect the one he has loved for more than four thousand years.
he has chosen you to be-the human sacrifice needed to regenerate the body of ___.
who put you in charge? you can't just leave me behind like some old suitcase.Β
i'm the one responsible for this mess and i intend to be the one to clean it up.
it is better to be the right hand of the devil ... than in his path. as long as i serve him, i am immune.
what are you looking for? lie and i'll slit your throat.
that looked rather painful.
ya know, ever since i met you, my luck has been for crap.
i think you were jealous.
you think it'll send this guy back to hell?
it has begun. the beginning of the end.
don't tell me we gotta go back out there?
you better think of something, because if he turns me into a mummy, you're the first one i'm coming after.
be calm. there is still time.
is it dangerous?
everybody else we've bumped into has died, why not you?
from now on, don't touch anything. not a damn thing.
they are evil, cursed, they matter not.
oh, come on, gimme a break here.
Β open the book! that's the only way to kill him!
well ... i guess we go home empty handed.
wouldn't say that.

I need to be on my meds if I ever want to explain this in detail but shoutout to Reverse 1999 for being the only media Ive ever seen where the βPeople with magical powers are an opressed groupβ trope is done right. The jist of it is that its not a case of βWhite pretty elves are put in identical conditions to what black people have experiencedβ or a βThis group is clearly the superior race and they are only opressed because they are rightfully the rulers of the world.β That these plots fall into 99.9% of the time, but a story where a very ethnically and culturally diverse set of people are stigmatized in the way that the neurodiverget, certain cultural practices, and non abrahamic spirituality have been historically repressed and hurt all over the world. The repression of arcanists is not only a analogy to real world opression, but also a sincere depiction of it. For example Isolde is both a magic user that summons ghosts but also genuenly canonically mentally ill. There is racial mixing and diferent types of opression presented, from beurocratic to verbal abuse. There is aknowledgement of the complexities of gender. Its very good stuff. If you dont feel like playing the game I would go as far as to recomend watching the cutscenes on youtube.
