I think it's sad that so many people reduce Miyabis to her supposed sexuality or who they ship her with. I personally don't ship her with anyone, because I think she needs positive contact with other people more than romance.

She was a very sheltered child, from the moment she could crawl (and picked up the wooden sword, in an apparently real tradition) she was viewed by her Clan as a potential new swordmaster and they were proud to possibly have a strong future head of the family. Both her pants were visibly worried and her mother (who I think should have a name) tried to keep her away from Tailless as well as she could, all the while trying to give her other things to appreciate in life. I imagine her Dad was running interference to give his wife space in raising their daughter. (I'm sure many can imagine how much pressure the other clan members put on them to raise the next Swordmaster the right way!). Then she lost her Mother in such a tragic way. And while she had her father she was still struggling with the pain.

She made a friend in the academy (Zhu Yuan) and at some point joined the military. She met Yanagi and Asaba on the mission that made her become a Void Hunter and valued their willingness to confront TOPs enough to get them reassigned to her new organization.

And now the population has put her on a pedestal and almost.. worships her as their strongest weapon. (She can't even walk through the town alone without being swarmed by fans and people who want to use her for their own gains, for havens sake! Just remembering how the MC had to interfere with the person trying to get her to agree with them makes my skin crawl.)

So having people, who don't fall all over themselves when Miyabi just enters a room and treat her like a normal young woman, is so important. You won't believe how happy I was when after her fight with Yixuan she invited her to tea and snacks.

Let our girl have more friends!!!

GraceBilly is a great ship because she would want to know him inside out and if he feels like she just sees a robot to work on, she'd prove him wrong so hard somehow. I want to see that.

LycaonBilly is another ship I think would be great in a similar way because of Lycaon's legs, since he'd know exactly how to care for them and Billy, even though they have very different personalities and the butler might get annoyed sometimes. I want to see that.

I feel like both of them have that same thing of anyone not in the know thinks they don't get along even when they really do and I think that's why I like both of them, yknow?

I'd like to throw a rarepair into the pot. I thought of Lycaon x Trigger since both have vision issues related to a traumatic accident, both are stunners, both show so much love and care for their team and friends but both seem to struggle w/ caring for themselves. They're both some of the sweetest and kindest characters in the game (in my humble opinion) and I just think they're neat <:U

What I like most about Lighter and Harumasa aside from those parallels and their chill vibes is them both being playable agents, and The fact that Harumasa needs a stun (or anomaly) character to function, whereas Lighter needs a stun (or someone from his same faction) to function.

The AMV kid in my soul goes absolutely bonkers over me being able to use them both on the same team for fights. And I’m sure Wise would too. I’m sure he’d dote on them so much. “look at my beautiful boyfriends they just took out the corrupted overload and dead end butcher back to back” type shit fr fr

OKOK soooo so here we go are you sitting down because I TALKA LOT.

Ok so the TLDR is that one chunk of it (Haruwise) was a crack ship(?) turned comfort ship and the other chunk (Harulighter) was also a crack ship(?) turned plain ol rarepair and I simply slapped them together. Sandwiched Wise in the middle of them if you will.

My essay explaining my thoughts below:

when Harumasa came out my first thoughts were “if I’m obsessed with him so is Wise” so ig the delusions about those two started as me projecting ouch.

But THEN, I did Harumasa’s story quest and got generally caught up on the lore. The fact Harumasa trusted Wise (and Belle too by extension if you choose her as the mc ofc I won’t forget her) enough to spill and say “yes, I am maybe going to die young” and reveal his condition, and then later go on to reveal to Wise what he’s done (use himself as a ““sacrifice”” to help out those kids) REALLY pulled at my heart. Like I’m sure if I wasn’t emotionally constipated I would’ve been sobbing HARD after that quest but that’s besides my damn point

My point was that Harumasa put a lot of trust and faith in Wise, who returns the same amount of it back to him. And I think other than their canon connection a lot of it for me was really finding so much comfort in just how soft these two could be together if given a story line for it. Like these two are so soft oh my god.

But besides him there’s also Lighter, who may put the same level of trust in the proxy as Harumasa, enough trust to let Wise help him track down that gang (though my memory is foggy so I might be misremembering his quest) and then later on down the line open up about his past and his friends who died, his survivors guilt over being the last man standing.

In their own way I think they could also be very soft, just in slightly different ways than what’s visible between Harumasa and Wise. Like where Harumasa is a stay in, sleep all day kind of soft Lighter is more of an acts of service kind of soft, or he’s metaphorically a rock embedded in a fast moving current standing strong and unmoving.

SO HOW ABOUT Harumasa and Lighter? This pair to me was something I got into long before I saw their interaction in Lighter’s hangout event and went bonkers over it. I saw them in a shitpost, and it was a screenshot of Harumasa saying “he wants to die but can’t, I want to live but can’t” and that’s how it started. By extension I slapped em both with Wise and said “okay, I like them” so there they are. All three of them. So yeah Lighter and Harumasa might’ve been a pairing based on a shitpost at first.

But then ya know I got to Lighter’s hangout quest where Harumasa shows up (with Seth there making a cameo) and how Harumasa was just so chill. He obviously knew who Lighter was but didn’t want to cause the guy more trouble, and casually asked him (out on a date) for help with the actual guy Seth was after. He also stepped in to help defend Lighter to an extent when faced with Seth.

This made me think many things, the most cohesive thought being; the pairing isn’t based on a joke no more.

As this went on, I realized I love Haruwise, Harulighter and Lighterwis an equal amount, so I just continue to ship all of them as a three way. They have been in my brain rent free, I have not been this obsessed about fictional men since Nezumi and Shion from No. 6 waaay back in middle school. I don’t think I’m getting off this ride any time soon.

If we ever go to the moon since it’s almost been hinted that we might go there one day, I hope we can find a way to have a good extremely long distance relationship/friendship with a character that’s from space.

I mean, HSR takes place in space, Genshin has aliens in their game and HI3 has characters going to space. We deserve to have some fun with aliens in ZZZ!

Being the owner of my brain is a very odd experience. It either makes me deeply analys characters or situations of things I enjoy (eg. Anime, series or games) or it comes up with weird images.

So here goes:

When we first learned that the MCs were going to be trained by someone who used a ,,Kung-Fu,, like fighting style my brain immediately went: hey remember the funny hamsters from way back? That's what Wise and Belle are going to look like in combat!!!

In a world where people for some reason really hate Asaba Harumasa specifically and also hate anyone who likes him right now(/hj), thank you for being so chill and welcoming man. I feel less ashamed to like him and be vocal about it on this blog compared to others(/gen)

I feel like Wise and Belle, because of their Random Play store, will never run out of movie date ideas with their significant other. They have all the best movies from the past to the present. Any genre of movie their boyfriend or girlfriend wants? They got it!

I really love the movie night trust events because of this. Especially when you get deeper into understanding the agents’ minds and understand why they chose this movie specifically to watch. And even if it’s not the actual movie they wanted, Yixuan’s movie trust had us watching the wrong movie, we end up getting some interesting moments with the agents.

And then they made it into an event… Granted, not at our place, but the movie event was so fun and you got to learn more about the NPCs in New Eridu that you befriended.
