Correct me if I'm wrong but my headcanon is that Susie is the reason Kris is gaining more autonomy over their body again, seeing how rebellious and strong she is may give them the motivation to take control again. Especially if you consider the theory that she was never really meant to be as important to the prophesy, if not at all. And yet, she still persists, and depending on what route you take, things turn out for the better. I think Kris realizes this
