🔵 A 22 year young named Uday Kiran (deceased) from Bevahalli in Mulbagal town of Kolar district, 110km away from Bengaluru, committed suicide on the night of 30th Nov after being brutally assaulted by the group of people for apparently overtaking the bike of a person from so called upper caste, identified as Raju.

🔴 Uncle of the deceased has stated that Uday Kiran was traveling with his friend to the neighbouring village, where the incident took place. Group of men allegedly from raju's (accused) village abused and tied Uday to tree before beating him harshly. After which his uncle went to the place of incidence and freed Uday, but on the same day at night, he committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree branch beside his house around 10 PM.

⚫ This incident might look like a road rage case, but it clearly isn't. This cruel incident clearly shows us how a person is influenced to the core by the caste systems that his pride of being from an upper caste is disturbed just by the overtaking of the bike.

⚪ If Dalits wouldn't have given reservations and constitutional right such as right to equality, clearly these upper caste Indians wouldn't let lower castes grow in any terms.

P.S.:- According to sub-inspector Singh, the four accused were identified as Raju , Shivaraju, Gopala Krishna and Munivenkatappa.

“We registered an FIR immediately after receiving the complaint. All the four accused are absconding and police teams are searching for them,” the officer said.

The four were booked under Indian Penal Code sections 341 (wrongful restraint ), 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 323 (causing hurt) and 306 (Abetment of suicide) as well as provisions of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, said Singh.

🔵 Monday 28th Nov. 2022, Udupi, Karnataka: A 51 yo dalit and his son, resident of Halageri in Kambadakone were allegedly denied from entering the temple premises of Kokkeshwara Temple in Kambadakone.

🔴 Temple priest (archak) named Shashagiri Karanth, apparently stopped the father and son from entering the temple and refused to offer pooja to the temple deity on their behalf. He also abused them by the caste name, the police complaint says.

⚫ While Byndoor Police has registered a case under Sections 3 (1)(r), (s), (y), (za), (C) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against the accused, this act of utter discrimination should not be taken lightly.

⚪ I think it's time to remind them the Kalaram temple entry movement by Dr. Ambedkar for equal rights to everyone.

The constitution prevents any kind of discriminatory actions by anyone against anyone, as it goes against the course human right i.e. equality.

🔵The 11.5 acres of land adjacent to Hussainsagar Lake is set to embrace the 125ft. Dr. B R Ambedkar's Statue and a museum on the life of Dr. Ambedkar and a mini-theatre were also being arranged.

🔴Ministers Koppula Eshwar and Vemula Prashanth Reddy examined the works on Monday 28th Nov. and said it would become one of the major attractions to Telangana.

⚪ The statue and the complex is set to be unveiled for public in April when it will be inaugurated on the occasion of Dr Ambedkar's birth anniversary.

⚫ While the tallest statue of Ambedkar in the country situated in Mumbai is still under construction, reports say that it could be inaugurated anywhere around April 2023.

🔵 Saturday, 19 Nov. 2022, Heggatora Village, Chamarajanagar district, Karnataka.

A Dalit women from another village came to heggatora to attend a wedding. While leaving, in a hurry to catch a bus, she drank water from the public water tank set up in the so called upper caste locality (Lingayats).

🔴 Upon this, the the eye witnesses confirm that the women was abused and later the upper caste villagers emptied the tank and purified it with cow urine.

Apparently for them (the upper caste villagers) cow urine is pure and a mere touch of a Dalit makes the water impure.

⚫While the local authorities and social department officers have shown actions like discussing with villagers about the incident and allegedly making 20 Dalit and OBC people drink water from the water tanks in the village, this kind of discriminatory actions in any part of India are not tolerable as they go against the very constitutional human right i.e., Equality.

⚪ Reacting to this incident, the district in-charge minister @vsomannakarnataka promise that he would instruct stringent action and will not tolerate any such discriminatory actions.

🔵The online media has seen abuzz while the news around Hollywood movie on the life of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar based on Isabel Wilkerson's 2020 book, "Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents" was announced. It is supposedly directed by a celebrated African American director Ava DuVernay.

🔴 While Sources confirm that this Netflix feature film was originally announced in 2020, it is now in the casting phase for which you can find the casting advertisement online.

⚪ We hope that, the movie turns out to be a blockbuster and a great lesson for the coming generation to pursue.

⚫We also hope that the struggles Babasaheb faced during his times and his teachings are portrayed aptly.

• A 25 year old young, victim of caste politics, hung himself in rupangarh area of ajmer district. • He alleged in his suicide note that how police, under political pressure, wasn't actively investigating on his complaint about assault on his physically challenged father by an upper caste villager.
