Have you noticed you can just spread rumors that a group of Jews who were assaulted were chanting gross anti Palestine stuff with no evidence and suddenly everyone thinks the Jews deserved it.

i’m sure people have written about this before but it’s striking how much antisemitism sounds like misogyny. the whiny jews are always exaggerating and playing the victim. they hysterically cry wolf so instead the more rational goyim should be the gatekeepers of what is and isn’t antisemitic. whenever they face violence it’s because they brought it on themselves. they’re simultaneously weak but also powerful enough to corrupt the world. their value is determined by how much their identity and suffering can be appropriated by others. they’re always scheming, always plotting, always trying to trick us all. jews as the global Woman.

I don't know if other people have had this experience but with pretty much all social justice being enveloped by the onmicause I just....ran out of shits to give about everything. Everything is "for Palestine" now (not actually helping anyone there but the "spirit" of it/committing hate crimes against jews and deepthroating whatever Nazi/Soviet/Islamist propaganda comes their way) at the cost of any other social issue. Facts don't matter, moral consistency doesn't matter, actual living people don't matter, especially if they have truths deemed inconvenient. I used to be involved in so many community projects and organizations but at this point I cannot bring myself to care about anything outside of my immediate life or social circle. I've run out of empathy, it's a weird experience and I wonder if it's just me.
That’s what happens with antisemitism and cult mentalities (if they infiltrate wider communities) the bullshit is designed to push you and all people that care about results, outcomes, and achievable solutions out. A death cult doesn’t want you, because you want tangible improvements to real issues. That’s an impediment to radicalism, which needs to up the ante all the time. That’s why western pro pals have been increasingly committing violent crimes and murders that don’t have any effect on palistine other than attacking Jews or in the latest mass shooting in nyc (unconfirmed by a pro pal but 🤷🏻‍♀️) Jews and the American/western democracy and economy.
It works because the problems are real (no affordable housing, cost of living crisis, inflation, defunded education and social safety nets, security measures and threats increasing while police are decreasingly willing to protect vulnerable populations without the cash or influence to protect themselves. Etc etc….)
The trick, the lie, is to say X is the real problem so all you have to do is destroy X (((but they))) will never be defeated because (((they))) are eternal and better than you and you’ll have to kill peoples that defend them like babies and women and elderly and people who don’t know what’s going on…. And as more people like you leave because it’s getting so crazy and off topic, the people left behind are crazier and crazier, more extreme, and willing to do anything.
The funny thing is that I don’t believe Hitler would have lost if he hadn’t been genuinely antisemitic. He probably could have taken over Europe. And it wasn’t that people objected to killing Jews, they hated Jews or didn’t care till they were shamed for it. The antisemitism caused a death cult predictable split with reality that diverted attention and effort from the objective of taking over the world. Idk if Hitler would have wanted to take over the world without antisemitism but I’m pretty sure no one who’s motivated by antisemitism can form anything other than a death cult.
We’re in the early stages, I don’t think it will get Hitler Germany bad this time around, but the craziness and hypocrisy of the pro pal movement has just started. We’re all about to see some white ass women from the Seattle food cooperative try to do a second 9/11 because of fetal tissue in the Coca-Cola and “Islam.”
I’m sorry you lost your passion for activism. I have no idea how you screen out the kind of counter productive people that parasitize liberal and leftist causes that otherwise help vulnerable populations at the worst time for them in my lifetime… but figuring out how to convince the left of how dangerous this shit is would be a good start. It’s above my pay grade.

So, I'm Beta Israel, or an Ethiopian Jew. Many people only know that there are Ethiopian Jews in Israel because of that one headline:
"Israel forcibly sterilizes Ethiopian Jewish Women"
I would like to say that this story is a thorny and painful topic in the community, especially because it is used as a cudgel to demonize both us and Israel without actually allowing Ethiopian Jews to contribute to such discussions.
This point is brought up often when discussing racism in Israel. Newspapers have reported it, activists have brought it up, and it is all over social media. The narrative has even gone so far that some people claim that Israel is currently sterilizing Beta Israeli women.
First off, there was never any kind of attempt by Israel to get rid of us through sterilization or reduce our population. As of 2024, there are approximately 160,000 of us living in Israel. 8,000 arrived during Operation Moses, and 14,000 arrived during Operation Solomon. Again, massive population increase.
Additionally, said women were never sterilized. Birth control falls under 4 general categories. Natural birth control, oral contraceptives, long-acting reversible contraception, and sterilization. All except for sterilization are reversible. The birth control important to this discussion is Depo-Provera, which is temporary.
Depo Provera has almost no long-lasting effects, needs to be renewed every 12-13 weeks to be effective, and no matter how long you have taken it, you will be able to conceive after stopping the shot. These were the injections given to Ethiopian Jewish women. But why were they given the contraceptives?
Ethiopian Jews came to Israel through transit camps, which are temporary refugee camps. There are many reasons why a refugee camp has a need for birth control. High maternal and infant mortality rates, the absence of gynecologists, high sexual violence, and little to no postpartum care are just a few of them.
There was no evidence that women at the transit camps were threatened into getting these injections. However, they were almost certainly pressured into doing so, because, keep in mind, there just weren't enough resources to take care of these women if they did get pregnant. In most cases, the women were informed that they were getting these injections, but access to Amharic translators were in short supply.
Since many women didn't understand exactly what they were being given, as soon as they figured out, they complained. Israel immediately stopped giving the injections out and started new guidance to make sure that patients had a full understanding of all medicine given.
Was what happened a violation of rights that never should have happened? Yes. Was it a massive mistake on the part of the Israeli government? Yes. Was it anywhere near as evil as whatever people are trying to make it sound like online? No.
Stop using us to make your points when you clearly don't care about our issues. You can criticize the Israeli government, please do, without spreading misinformation and lies about us. You can criticize Israel without bringing up the 'sterilization' every time you see us on social media. When you do these things, you are being both anti Black and antisemitic. Try to learn about us past this controversy, in fact, try to learn about any of the many, many Jewish communities in different countries. I guarantee you'll learn something.

Jewish advocacy, the Kafka trap, and Hasbara
Here's the problem:
When we speak, we're accused of propaganda.
When we mourn, we're accused of manipulation.
When we stay silent, we're called complicit.
When we ask questions, we're told we are gaslighting.
When we cite facts, we're told to stop 'doing hasbara.' .
This isn't hyperbole. This is the experience many Jews have today when we speak. Especially if we're defending ourselves. Especially if we're defending Israel's right to exist.
The structure of the trap is pretty familiar to Jews. Every word of defense becomes proof of guilt and even silence gets read as a confession.
It's a Kafka trap.
In a Kafka trap, denial of an accusation is taken as proof of the accusation.
Try to explain? That's exactly what a liar would do!
Don't respond? You must have something to hide!
It's a classic cult maneuver and a common abusive relationship tactic. And now, apparently, it's a feature of daily discourse for most Jews I know on North America.
The Kafka trap doesn't try to prove you're wrong. It starts from the assumption that you're guilty and frames your every move from that assumption.
When it comes to Jews in progressive political spaces, the trap has a favorite word: hasbara.
In Hebrew, hasbara simply means "explanation."
For decades, it referred to Israel’s public diplomacy efforts. These were mostly bureaucratic, sometimes tone-deaf, sometimes deeply flawed, but not some sinister conspiracy. Just a country making its case on the world stage, like every other country does.
The Western Left, as they have so many times, decided to make up it's own definition of our Hebrew word.
Today, the Western far Left uses "hasbara" as a smear. It's used to dismiss anything a Jew says in defense of Israel (or even in defense of themselves) as coordinated propaganda. It doesn't matter if it’s true. It doesn’t matter if it's personal. It doesn’t even matter if it's painful. If it threatens the dominant narrative, it gets rebranded as hasbara, which means it can be ignored or actively condemned as deceptive. (Those tricky, sneaky lying, Jews.)
The word doesn't describe what is being said,it just signals who is saying it...and what they are presumed to be.
It has become shorthand for:
This Jew is lying
This Jew is manipulating
This Jew is not grieving, they're performing
This Jew is not arguing, they're strategizing
This Jew is not human
It's a rhetorical equivalent of "shut up, Jew."
Anything you say is treated as propaganda.
Accurately describe the contents of the Hamas charter? You're fearmongering, you islamophobe.
Quote UN resolutions that contradict "apartheid" claims? You're cherry-picking.
Say anything after October 7? You're using Jewish trauma to justify genocide.
If you stay silent, it’s complicity.
Didn't post a ceasefire square? Complicit.
Not visibly protesting Israel on campus? Proof of indifference.
Grieving your murdered relatives quietly? Suspicious.
And if you cry out in pain or fear, it's performance.
Jewish emotion is rarely granted full humanity anymore. We're accused of centering ourselves, derailing, or manipulating.
Jewish fear? Privilege.
Jewish mourning? PR.
Jewish trauma? Hasbara again.
Mentioning Hamas's use of human shields? Justifying war crimes.
Referring to international law? Legalese in defense of apartheid.
Saying Israel is not a settler colony? Whitewashing colonial violence.
Providing context? Genocide denial.
Every possible Jewish expression, whether fact, feeling, silence, or sorrow...is preemptively framed as evidence of guilt.
This isn't just disagreement, this is dehumanization.
The redefinition of "hasbara" as "Jewish propaganda" discredits Jewish identity itself.
Once the label is applied, it doesn't matter what you say or why you say it. Your words are stripped of intent and interpreted only through suspicion. Your grief is strategic. Your arguments are scripted. Your voice is foreign.
You're not a person anymore. You're a function.
A symbol. A proxy. A problem.
This is why the the derisive, disparaging use of "hasbara" hits so hard. It doesn't critique messaging or truth, it refuses to believe you're a real person.
None of this is new.
The same tropes keep resurfacing over the centuries.
The cunning Jew
The manipulative Jew
The powerful Jew behind the curtain
The emotional Jew as threat and a deceptive performance
But there's uodated phrasing for modern libels.
Instead of saying "you control the media," it's "your narrative is hegemonic."
Instead of 'international Jewish conspiracy," it's "coordinated hasbara machine."
Instead of "your tears are fake," it’s "you’re weaponizing trauma."
Same ideas, different words.
You're not heard. You're categorically denied your humanity. You're denied debate, your complexity is flattened, you're denied participation in the discourse. All you get is accusation.
So maybe you withdraw, self-censor, or collapse into shame. Maybe you internalize the message that your speech is poison, and your pain is violence.
You are only allowed to speak if your pain is politically useful to someone else.
When Jewish speech is pre-framed as aggression, when Jewish grief is mistranslated as manipulation, and when every defense is re-coded as offense...what remains?
If everything a Jew says is dismissed as "hasbara," if our facts are propaganda, if our mourning is performative, and if our silence is complicity...what the fuck do you want from us?
What would we have to do to earn the right to speak, to grieve, to disagree, to survive?
What would it take to be believed when we say we're in pain?
And what does it say about you, that you disbelieve in advance?

You cannot possibly think the "it was promised to them 3000 years ago" vomit is a good gotcha because I'm just going to counter with "it was promised to them in the 60's when they coopted the term Palestinian for a brand new nationalistic movement" and then ask if you harass any other indigenous groups with your anti-native hypocrisy.
You cannot possibly claim to give a shit about landback or related efforts and think that phrase is working for you. Of course, people who say this are all somewhere on the spectrum of stupid to malevolent so what does it matter, really.

Tefillin bag, Romania, circa 1915, beads and velvet
Made by a professional Jewish bead-worker who during WWI, deserted the Austro-Hungarian army, was caught and sent to a prison camp. A Jewish guard became his protector. At the end of the war, the bead-worker made this bag as a token of appreciation to the Jewish soldier.

The viral image of 5-year-old Osama al-Raqab, portrayed as a starving Gaza child victimized by Israeli policies, is false. Osama suffers from cystic fibrosis, a serious genetic disease affecting his respiratory and digestive systems, which caused his emaciated appearance, not malnutrition or starvation. On June 12, 2025, Israel coordinated his medical evacuation from Gaza via Ramon Airport to Italy, where he received specialized treatment alongside his mother and brother.
Claims that the IDF shot civilians at an aid center in Gaza have been thoroughly investigated and disproven. Multiple sources, including eyewitness accounts and independent investigations, show that the gunfire came from armed Palestinian militants who were clashing amid chaotic conditions. The Israeli Defense Forces did not fire on the aid center or the civilians there. Video evidence released by Israeli authorities and verified by third parties confirms that the IDF maintained distance and did not engage in shooting at the humanitarian site.
Allegations that Israeli settlers burned the 4th-century Church of St. George in Taybeh (which is not an active church but an archeological site, stone ruins, that can't even be burned) were fabricated. The fire occurred in nearby dry grass and was quickly extinguished with help from local Jewish residents, leaving the church unharmed.
The claim that eighty percent of Gaza’s babies would starve in forty-eight hours was a gross misinterpretation of a UN report and was later corrected by UN officials.
The activists aboard the Handala flotilla were not kidnapped but peacefully intercepted and legally deported after attempting to breach Israel’s naval blockade.
What's up with all the lies? Surely, they wouldn't lie so much if there was really a genocide and Israel was as evil as they want u to think, would they?

what baffles me is just how anti immigrant pro-pals are. the entire thought process hinges on the idea that any one person does or doesnt belong somewhere. is that not entirely fucking racist? all these USAmericans telling people to "go back to their own country" like they didnt come from europe themselves?
Tumblr media
Also Israeli Jews ARE back in their own country!

the antisemitism would be easier to bear if it weren't for the deafening silence from everyone
definitely. and i also think there’d be less antisemitism if it weren’t for the silence.
