Romulus! He was a founder to and king of Rome, and was a TWIN BROTHER to, guess who? REMUS. Read the wikipedia about Romulus and Remus, there's so much connection! This whole thing ties into my theory of Roman (His name kinda sounds like Romulus, doesn't it?) becoming, or at least considering becoming a 'Dark Side'.
Hear me out, here. Roman has been getting increasingly... Rude lately, and with Janus being chosen by Thomas over him in the latest episode (Putting Others First, Selfishness vs. Selflessness redux) has got him feeling that he isn't being listened to, that he's beginning to work with the 'Dark Sides'. Desperate for Thomas to listen to him, he joins the ones Thomas is beginning to trust more, in Roman's eyes.
Maybe he changes his name, changes his entire persona. OR maybe he fuses back with Remus, Gem-Fusion style? (It is known that Romulus killed his brother in a dispute, so maybe Remus didn't want to?) This could be a very interesting plot point, and maybe they could unfuse once Roman breaks out of this black-and-white, good-evil mindset he's fallen into!
Who knows, it's a possibility. We won't know until the next episode comes out.

Edit: JUST REALIZED ANOTHER CONNECTION GUYS. It involves Janus! Right, so King (Prince and Duke connection!) Romulus and his men ended up doing some pretty bad stuff (kidnapping Sabine women), JANUS caused a giant volcanic hot spring to erupt, causing the attackers to be killed, burned, or disfigured in some way. Later, though, they decided to make peace with the Sabines, and created a new community together.
So my guess is:
Roman feels the 'Dark Sides' are being listened to more than him, so in a desperate attempt to get Thomas to register his opinions, he fuses with Remus (Who might not even want to, or is hesitant to at least?).
"Fine! If you won't listen to me, I'll be somebody else!"
They fuse, Steven Universe-style, and a new side emerges. Romulus, King Creativity. Two halves made whole. Grey clothes, orange sash. The line between good and evil, black and white, has been blurred.
It would be interesting to see if he had, like, a split personality? Or maybe no prior memories up to when the split originally happened? Who knows! I really hope this is what happens! Happy theorizing, Fanders!
