You have to go back to school tomorrow

There are two high schools in my town. One is well known for sending kids to elite colleges/universities like Seoul University. The other is a missionary school-which is where I go.

The other high school already ended their summer vacation in 8/6 which means the kids there had 2 weeks of summer vaca. Yeah. 2 WEEKS. The school I go to gave us 4 weeks. We were lucky to have a blissful 4 weeks of summer vacation. But it still feels too short. 😢

Soren: Do you know the greatest thing about this wedding? A few years ago, we all tried to kill each other!

Callum & Rayla: (facepalms)

Soren: Yeah, we were enemies for generations! We all fought and battled for years and years. But.....despite all the craziness and the wars we fought against each other, we ended up fighting together and becoming friends and a family! All of this wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for these two amazing human and elf. Here's to Rayla and Callum!

Everyone: (claps)

Callum: (clapping) I never doubted him.

Rayla: (rolls her eyes)

Harrow thoughts

Why is Harrow a bird? Well, we all know the answer to "how" Harrow became a bird. But we never discussed "why". A long, long time ago, in S1, Viren tells the king about his plan to swap Harrow's soul with another's by using a Xadian soul-eating-snake. Which caused the "Harrow=Bird" theory in the tdp fandom. The theory is possible. At the time, it sounded outrageous and so crazy that it just couldn't be true. AND the writers confirmed many times that it was NOT TRUE. But in S7 last year, we found out that the Harrow Runaan killed wasn't Harrow. Instead, it was Harrow's bird-Pip in Harrow's body. That meant that Harrow's soul is currently in Pip's body. And it's somewhere out in the world.

This made me wonder: Was Harrow being in Pip's body his choice? Or was he forced into it by Viren?

Viren has a motive. He would have done it for his king, his friend, his brother. He already failed Harrow before because of Sarai's death, and he didn't want to lose Harrow as well. When Harrow refused his offer, he would have no choice but to confront Harrow in his courters the night that the assassins attacked and done the spell without Harrow's consent.

Second. Harrow willingly let Viren do the spell in the last minute before the elves attacked. We all know that Harrow loved his kids. And he always felt sad that Sarai couldn't see them grow up. As the king of Katolis, he must have known how hard it was for Queen Aanya of Duren to grow after her mothers' passing. Nearly getting killed by assassination and facing criticism and looked down upon by her subjects because of her age. And he didn't want that for his sons. He wanted to see them grow up. He wanted to hug them one more time. He wanted to be there for them. He wanted to live. So, before the elves attacked, he told Viren that he had changed his mind. And let him do the spell that swapped his body with Pip. After that night, Viren locked him up in a cage. Since it would take him a bit more time to collect the ingredients to get Harrow back. And he needed bird Harrow to be safe until he could get back to his human body. And sometime around in the first arc, Harrow left the castle and was never seen again.

This begs the second question: "Why didn't Harrow come back?"

First theory: Mother Nature: Harrow got eaten by a predator or died early because birds die earlier than humans.

Second theory: Harrow left because he felt ashamed about not dying that night. Harrow was a king. And thus, he had pride and honor that was heavier than others. He felt that he needed to die that night because he and Viren killed the Dragon King and its offspring. To end the cycle of blood that he started when he crossed into Zadia to get the Titan's Heart, he needed to die. That was his fate. That was his destiny. But...he hesitated. He wanted to live. He wanted to see his boys grow up. So either he chose or was forced into the body of Pip. And thus he felt shame. He felt like that he lost his honor. He felt like a coward. So, he left and never turned back.

Callum: (nervousg grin) So....dad. This is Rayla; my girlfriend-she's a moonshadow elf- and her dads; Ethari and Runaan.

Ethari & Runaan: (waves)

Harrow: You know.......you look familiar.....

Runaan: (sweats)

(A few minutes later)

Harrow: So, how did you two meet?

Callum: Well.....uh......

Rayla: You see...... (blabbing)

Ezran: She tried to kill him with her swords. (Looks at Callum and Rayla) I wasn't supposed to say that.

Harrow: (Claps Callum on the back) That's wonderful, son! All the best romances start that way! That's how I met your mother!

Callum: (laughs nervously)

Rayla: So....who wants desert?
