Regarding Bards as an Aspect Overabundance
Hopping on my old classpecting blog bc I have something I'd like to share with the class regarding Bards.
So Bards and Princes are both destruction classes, Bard being passive and Prince being active. Along with that, it's stated that Princes are lacking their aspect and thus so is the session. Bards, meanwhile, destroy passively, not always in control of what they destroy. I prefer to use the term "corrupt" because it brings up a clearer picture of what "destroying passively" means. Unlike Princes, however, it is never directly stated that Bards lack their aspect or that their aspect is lacking in the session (citation needed). I'd like to argue that it's because not only are they not lacking their aspect, but that they possess their aspect in abundance and, as such, so does the session they are in.
In canon Homestuck we only have 2 bards: Gamzee, Bard of Rage, and Cronus, Bard of Hope. Let's talk about Cronus first, since there's less info on him. In the Act 6 Intermission 3 Openbound, we learn a bit about Cronus during the time in the session. He used to be a nerdy kid who loved wizards, but then eventually he left that behind, especially after he died and learned about humans. So, now he claims to be human in spirit and acts like a 1950's greaser. He's also a perv but I don't think that's related. I interpret Hope players as having a very strong sense of self, so Cronus changing up his personality like this is a very interesting look at Bards, especially since it seems like he doesn't really care about how he was before. It's not that he doesn't like how he was before, but more that he's moved on from it to something new. His self (his hope) has been Corrupted and now he's different. Along with that, he does seem to have an almost foolish level of hope, as he immediately volunteers to help fight Lord English when asked. As for his session, it's really hard to tell if they did have an overabundance of Hope since we see very little of the Dancestor Session on screen, but I believe we can assume it had more Hope than Rage, especially since they had a Prince of Rage in the form of Kurloz.
Cronus is a bit hard to use to definitively assert this claim of mine, but that's why Gamzee is very important. Gamzee is the Bard of Rage, and boy does he sure have it. Rage is all about emotions and raw power, something he has In Spades. Gamzee is one of the strongest Beta Trolls, arguably the strongest, and as we see in his many bloody outings, he is dripping in Rage. He has an obvious overabundance of his aspect, which was kept down in his early years by eating soper pies, keeping him high and unaware of his emotions. We get hints of his power here and there, like when Karkat commented on the fact that he dealt a great blow to the Black King in their session, but it wasn't until Dave sent him the ICP music video that he finally snapped and went on a rampage. Years and years of Rage that had built up exploded like a dam, and it was disastrous, as he went on a killing rampage. If ever there was an overabundance of an aspect in Bards, as I have asserted, this is very clearly evidence for that. However, was there an abundance of Rage in the session itself? I'd argue yes to that as well. Throughout the whole session, there were many moments of sabotage, subterfuge, distrust, and loathing. Hell, the whole game was even meant to be a competition before they did the whole double mobius reacharound. This mixed with the lack of Hope thanks to the Prince, Eridan, makes it a bit of a miracle that the session ever was completed. Even after the new universe was created, Rage was apparent. Gamzee wasn't the only one who went on a killing rampage, as we see both Vriska and Eridan give in to their bloody desires. It's pretty clear to me that Rage was a major force at work in their session, due to the overabundance that Gamzee possessed.
This is my evidence for how Bards have both an overabundance of their own aspect, but also cause the session to have an overabundance as well. I think I've laid out a good argument as to why and how I interpret the class and gave a bit of insight into how I look at classes within both the story and classpecting itself.
#also dont expect me to be coming back to classpecting any time soon#i just needed to get down onto paper my thoughts on this matter#homestuck#classpect#bard#prince#gamzee#cronus#classpects#rage#hope#bard of rage#bard of hope#hs#argument#theory#persuasive essay

Class Decisions
I find that the supposed Active Passive scale can be a little hard when trying to figure out your class cause to a perfectionist it can seem that you need to be every exact trait to be a member of said class which just isn’t true. Instead of Active and Passive i find it helpful to look at the class pairs to be two options of a similar thing. Here’s a list to help with the tiebreakers
Master: Patient and Inspiring or Determined and Commanding
(Muse, Lord)
Steal: Helpful and Loyal, or Self Focused and Ambitious
(Rogue, Thief)
Serve: Progressive and Meek, or Capable and Protective
(Page, Knight)
Change: Meddling and Helpful, Sweet and Rebellious
(Sylph, Witch)
Destroy: Capricious and Mysterious, Powerful and Imposing
(Bard, Prince)
Make: Strong and Maturing, Transformative and Serving
(Heir, Maid)
Know: Intelligent and Knowledgeable, Understanding and Changed
(Seer, Mage)
This is like really simple but the basics aren’t bad

Hello! Have you/ can you do an analysis on a witch of hope? Also, what do you think her land of castles and bells would look like?
I have already analyzed the Witch of Hope, which can be found here: https://aspect-to-classpect.tumblr.com/post/158531315859/could-you-analyze-witch-of-hope-please
The Land of Castles and Bells would be very bright, with cream colored landscapes and deep blue oceans. The sound of bells could always be heard ringing from everywhere you go, like church bells on sundays. The large castles that seem to have grown from the hills would be both ominous and inviting, often containing roaring fireplaces in the foyer or a feast in the great hall. The sky would be a bright white, with a tint of blue around the corners of your eyes. It would certainly be a very beautiful land to behold.

Your aspect has two cows
Well, this isn’t the “title test” I was talking about before, but it’s about time I posted something, probably.
Space: There are two cows. You frolick with them in the wilderness. The three of you find the most fascinating plants and butterflies. Soon there will be a baby cow!
Time: You have two cows. In 150 years, nobody will remember who you were or how many cows you had. Not even your great-grandchildren. That’s just the way things are.
Rage: You are hiding under your kitchen table from a thing with horns and cloven hooves. It can only be a demon. Pure horror pulses through your veins when you realize there’s more than one.
Hope: You have two cows. If you took their barn apart, you’d have enough wood to build a ship. If your ship was on the coast, you could take it sailing. If you went sailing, there might be pirates. You’d better practice swordfighting.
Mind: You have two cows. The fluffy cow doesn’t know you know she knows the spotted cow suspects the fluffy cow heard the spotted cow confiding in you what she thought she overheard the fluffy cow pretended to mutter in her sleep. Just as planned.
Heart: You have two cows. You can tell them apart at a distance by how they moo. You’re not supposed to give them names. You do it anyway.
Blood: You have two enormous bulls. They fight to the death. You butcher the loser and set your house on fire to cook some hamburgers. You are screaming the entire time.
Breath: You have two cows. The chickens recruit one of them to be an umpire for their baseball game. The other goes into stand-up comedy telling really cheesy puns. You learn how to whistle.
Light: You’ve been asked to run a three million acre dairy farm in France. You’re a world-class cheese taster and helicopter pilot with a PhD in chemical engineering. This is the moment you’ve been waiting for.
Void: You have two huge, awkward beasts of burden with multiple stomachs and overproductive mammary glands. They poop absolutely everywhere.
Life: You have two cows. You herd them into the barn for the night, eat some macaroni and cheese, and watch TV before bed – the same thing you do every day.
Doom: You try desperately to explain to your cows that none of this is real and you need to leave the farm before this story ends and the three of you cease to exist. They don’t understand a word. It’s too late now anyway.

May have already sent an ask in (if I did sorry about that!) but could you do an analysis for a Mage of Blood please?
Mage of Blood

(I based the design off of my friend’s trollsona because I had never drawn a troll before and I wanted to.)
Class: Mage
One who Understands and Suffers from [Aspect] or One who Understands through and Suffers from [Aspect]
Aspect: Blood
Blood deals with Relationships, Commitment, and Blood itself.
The Mage of Blood would be “One who Understands and Suffers from Relationships, Commitment, and Blood itself” or “One who Understands through and Suffers from Relationships, Commitment, and Blood itself.” They would be very naive people, often letting themselves be abused or used. They would also have a problem holding to their commitments with things, which constantly gets them in trouble. The Mage would also probably have a sickness or disability in their blood, like Hypoglycemia. They are also terrible with relationships, often getting into them with unsafe people, or not having good luck with making them. Before they God Tier, the Mage of Blood needs to learn how to stand up against their abusers, as well as keeping their promises to things. Once God Tiered, the Mage is an excellent therapist, able to help other people with their problems through their understanding of Relationships. They would also be good at manipulation, though, able to instill distrust into the strongest of minds.
In short, the Mage of Blood starts off as a loser, but grows to become a great friend.

Mage of Time analysis please?
Mage of Time

(Fun Fact: I drew the wrong Mage, so I made this one looking annoyed that I didn’t draw it.)
Class: Mage
One who Understands and Suffers from [Aspect] or One who Understands through and Suffers from [Aspect]
Aspect: Time
Time deals with Endings, Destiny, and Time itself
The Mage of Time would begin as someone who is very closed off, often seeing everything as useless, because everything ends. They would also be late to everything, which leads them to believe that doing anything is pointless. They also are hard believers in Fate, and believe that is impossible to change the course of things. In order to God Tier, the Mage needs to learn how to plan ahead of time, and that not everything is pointless. Once God Tiered, the Mage of Time is able to use their powers to travel through time and learn from their mistakes of the past, so that they do not repeat them, or to travel in time to see the outcome of their actions and how to change the course of the outcome. They would also be able to assist their teammates this way, which make them an amazing coordinator.
The Mage of Time is a nice addition to your team, and will help you make sure that everything plays out smoothly as possible in your session.

Analysis, land & quest for a Maid of Void? Thx ^_^
Maid of Void

Class: Maid
One who Creates and Maintains [Aspect] or One who Creates and Maintains through [Aspect]
Aspect: Void
Void deals with Emptiness, Secrets, the Furthest Ring, and Void itself
A Maid of Void would be “One who creates and maintains emptiness, secrets, the Furthest Ring, and Void itself.” or “One who creates and maintains through emptiness, secrets, the Furthest Ring, and Void itself.” In my sorta-universal-creation-story-idea for the Homestuck universe…es , the Maid of Void is the one who creates the Horrorterrors and the Furthest Ring where they reside as an opposite to the Maid of Life’s creations. A Maid of Void would start out pretty social, often hanging out with friends and making new ones all the time. They would also be very nosy in other people’s going-ons, often spreading rumors about people. This causes people to not trust the Maid, which in turn, makes the Maid very upset, which leads to more gossip. Before they God Tier, The Maid of Void must learn how respect other people’s privacy, and to not spread lies about people. Once God Tiered, the Maid of Void’s powers are very interesting. They would be able to harness the power of the Furthest Ring to create emptiness in something, or to hide something from existence. It would still be there, but it would be “Gone” in a sense too. They could also create new Elder Gods, whether for good or evil.
The Maid of Void is a trouble to deal with at first, but once God Tiered, they are very powerful Allies that you would not want to cross.
Land: A Maid of Void’s land would need to be able to guide them to their God Tier, while also challenging them. Something like the Land of Locks and Limestone would be good.
Quest: Fairy God Mother
While on the Land of Locks and Limestone, the Maid of Void might stumble upon a series of runes that describe the rising of a new elder god that is controlled by an even more powerful being. The Maid will have to face their denizen to learn the true meaning of this, and once they do, they must create the fabled God of Fairys

Class headcanons
Maid: the kind of person who spends all day cleaning a house for “fun”
Mage: tends to get attached to objects like jewlery, or charms because “they hold experiences and knowledge”
Witch: tend to get off topic when talking about their aspect, and sorta stumble into other aspects
Seer: tend to look to far into things. Make really bad far fetched theories based off media
Heir: really good at using their aspect, but when people ask them about their aspect their like “uhhhhhhhhhh…wut?”
Knight: the kind of person who gets flustered when someone says “wow your really good at your aspect”
Page: really bad at using their aspect, but when asked about it they can talk up a storm and try to teach you how to use it better
Rogue: misplaces their things allot. When they try to find it they remember they gave it to a friend
Thief: has a collection of their aspect that they’re really proud of
Prince: when people ask them about their aspect they try to change the subject and not speak it’s name almost
Bard: their acquaintances tend to become afraid of their aspect due to how much has been destroyed with it
Sylph: their friends begin to become so bored of their aspects because of how much the sylph talks about it and how great it is
Lord: tends to be seen by others as cocky, while actually being confident because they’re just great
Muse: tend to get so giddy when others share the same passion for their aspect. They start planning aspect stuff to do with them right away. (Also they’ll beat you in Mario kart)
