I think it probably really grinds Mallory's gears that he just has to accept that whatever intel he shares with Q is going to be subsequently told to Bond, and vice versa.

Like. Even if these two yahoos are not romantically involved (yet), they gotta discuss stuff with their work husband! It just has to happen! If there is Important Confidential Intel to consider, they have to put their heads together and talk it over and come up with a plan! They gotta loop each other in!

And it's extremely valid that this probably annoys the piss out of Mallory because this is legitimately terrible OPSEC. But. They're gonna do it anyway!

And they will keep this stuff confidential! It's just that they're gonna keep it confidential...between the two of them. They're kinda operating on the assumption that 'this is extremely confidential, don't discuss this with anyone' means 'except for your work husband, of course!'

I was ranting to my friend about 00Q and NTTD then when I told them about this, they told me what if Q was the most affected over Bond’s death.

Q- freezes, looks down- to where Bond is laying on him, fully asleep, side of his face pressed into Q's chest/stomach.

....OK, but what if Q does this on reflex, and then realizes Pickle and Pimento are chilling in the living room with him, and for a split second he's bewildered because who the FUCK is messing with the butter if it's not P&P.

(It's Bond, obvi. It's totally Bond, who just broke in through Q's kitchen window. Bond is about to poke his head into the living room and say that he had no interest in the butter, actually, but he thinks it's a bit much for Q to call him a 'creep'. What's a little breaking and entering between friends?)
