AH finally drew one of my favorites!!!

i originally intended to draw her in that one scene where she defends Sindria (hence the scuff marks) but then just ended up making some Yamuraiha content so it’s still a win!!

A relatively rare magi trio in Cherry Soda! (I was trying to really “embrace” the palette here lol might have gone overboard)

I finished my submission for the color palette challenge on the magi amino but I wanted to post it on here first just because my last magi art dump post is getting more attention than I was expecting xD I doubt as many people are going to see this one but in case anyone wanted to see the finished version of that wip here it is.

also no I do not have any explanation for why this trio but I wanted it so here we are. I don’t know, sometimes I like to wonder what it would have been like if Ka Koubun was an actual older brother figure for Kougyoku and hey, while we’re at it, Hakuryuu.

also modern clothes because it will take years for me to actually be able to draw the magi outfits

Just learned how to use gradient mapping from a friend on the Magi Amino and now coloring has never been easier!! (Save for the red one, that was manually colored but now I know what to do next time there’s a color palette challenge!)

[AU Explanation Under Cut]

Ok, this idea literally came to me a few days while back at some time near 3 in the morning and it's just gotten way too out of hand since then.

Now, a quick summary of what went through my mind when the Highschool AU that nobody would ever want came to me:

In a modern day/high school AU, Alma Torran (+Sinbad) essentially make up the majority of the staff at this school. Since this also includes David (the high school's principal), this means Solomon (a calculus teacher) has to see him literally every day, and their relationship in this world has been more like that between a tired boy and a father who was only ever able to praise other people's kids over his own, and simply put, Solomon now has very evident daddy issues as an adult because of this. Solomon therefore also strongly dislikes Sinbad (the vice principal) just because of the fact that David keeps talking about him nonstop:

Example Scenario (At home, talking about Sinbad):

David: "He's like a son to me"

Solomon: "THEN WHY DON'T YOU JUST ADOPT HIM DAD"

David *oblivious to the sarcasm*: "Don't you think I already tried?"

Solomon:

(Did I mention Aladdin goes to this school too and therefore also has to deal with them when he's there / actively denies that he's related to either the second the question comes up?)

Ugo is also the algebra teacher here, and I like the idea that Yunan, Scheherazade and Judar actually work here as well (the first two are actual teachers and Judar is some unfortunate soul's chaotic TA / substitute teacher).

Now, a few notes on the animatic:

- I know it says "Drunk" behind Solomon but I'm realizing now that that should really say "Hungover”

- Short hair– everyone's hair is a lot shorter than it usually is and also vice principal Sinbad absolutely wears his hair up (he doesn't want to look too professional otherwise people might think he looks old)

Setting: Ugo and Solomon's combined Algebra and Pre Calculus course (which involves both of them teaching in the same class) and the official and vice principals (David and Sinbad) coming in just to see how the class is going.

Buzzfeed Unsolved (inspired) AU – Magi

This idea came to me at around 1:40AM today (7/13/20)

Basically:

For those familiar with the show, Alibaba and Cassim are replacing Ryan and Shane, and Judar is the show’s camera man (hence his last name), and also a ghost. Despite the fact Cassim is replacing Shane, he is actually aware of this, though Alibaba isn’t because he’s an idiot.

As such, there are technically things like ghosts and demons in this world, and while Cassim is aware of that fact because he’s actually seen them, Alibaba has no solid evidence of their existence and is setting out to get some throughout the show.

Because of their dynamic, Cassim is constantly trolling Alibaba by putting him down every time he tries to claim he “saw/heard something in the dark”, and never tells him whenever he sees a ghost/demon himself while on location.

He also has a running bet with Judar on how long it’s going to take until Alibaba realizes Judar is actually a ghost. Judar bets two years.

Cassim bets an eternity.
