I remember a documentary of USA citizens going to Cuba for "medical tourism" and for me it was shocking that after they received insulin for some cents, all they say was it was outrageous that a "red country" give it cheaper, when they have to pay more than $500 for exactly same drug. I mean they did not even think that this unfair situation with medical care need protest a across their own country but like "fuck communism and their affordable health system".

I have an uncle that has been living in the USA for 35 years and last year He came to Colombia to get his teeth fixed (all teeth removed and replaced with prosthetic ones). It was cheaper for him to pay for air tickets, two months of living in other country and the medical procedure 20 million COP, than doing it in USA. All procedures in private clinic at Colombia, as our health system need you to be inscribed as low income person or to pay at least a 12% of a month minimum wage for two months (and other 16% for pension plan) you have to pay both.

My father needed the same procedure, they extracted all his teeth but they replaced them with a dental box at a cost of 0, because it is covered by the health system.
