charity swimming
Tomorrow I will swim for a charity event. For every lap I do a group of people will donate money.
My goal is it to swim 1200 meters, meaning 24 laps and I am more than confident that I'll be able to do so! But we shall see.

substitute practice
Today I won't be able to make it to my sports practice due to other club activites. So I googled a little and build a substitute practice just for this day.
15 min warm up
6x 400m sprints + 3 min break
3 sets of: 10x push ups, 10x sit ups, 10x squats, 10x1 min plank
15 min cool down
This is just to keep my stamina going and maybe even push it a little bit.

motivation
This is NOT the first time I tried running a half marathon or getting into running. But my motivation never really stayed. So what is different this time:
Strave and Apple Fitness: I am sharing my workouts with my friends. (There even is a paper on this about strava). It motivates me to keep my plan going and to show my friends: YES I worked out too! With Apple Fitness I also get notifications if my friend works out, so this motivates me even more!!
Telling people in my area: not only online but also in person! I also ask people to join me for the half marathon. Because then i cannot cancel anymore
Planning: I noticed generally that I love planning my life and this just gives me another reason to do so! And I then think: I put all this effort in, now it has to work!

First Goal: sport championships
Until mid of july I will do my best to get in to form for the sport championships of my university. (I don't feel confident enough to say which sports since I am scared people would recognize me. But its similar to field hockey!)
Currently I workout four to five times a week. That's a whole lot more than the not at all 4 weeks ago! My motivation has not left yet and that motivates me even more. Lets see! This week looks (or looked since its almost over already) like this:
Monday: 20 min bike riding + gym session Tuesday: 30 min swimming Wednesday: 10x 1 min sprint interval training + gym Thursday: 30 min swimming Friday: 30 min running (zone 2)
I injured my foot last week on a friday. So this week is rather less ankle activity let's see.

Hello!
idk how many blogs i created in my life but here is another I guess!
I want to try and run a halfmarathon next year. But until then I still have a lot of work to do.
I am overweight and have an permanently injured ankle (yay arthrosis) so I do hope this helps with losing weight and making it for the ankle easier.
Rn I can barely run up to 30 min but I am confident that I can make it.
