To all the bisexuals, pansexuals, and asexuals currently struggling with your identity because not only do heterosexuals constantly belittle your existence, but the group that is supposed to accept you does too.
You are valid
You are real
And you are loved

Some post transition (open) transgender men to SIMPLY give you hope in your transition and remind you that your dysphoria won’t always be as bad:
This is nothing whatsoever against non passing trans men. I personally like so many others support any fellow trans men just as much regardless of beauty standards or how well you pass. This is also not an attempt to desperately show people in general that transgender people can pass very well. This is simply to remind trans men that just because you’re trans it doesn’t mean that you will never be able to look a certain way. To look like this whether or not the type of muscles many of these men have takes A LOT of work… but it does NOT mean that it is not possible. Of course, everyone doesn’t look the same when they’ve come far into their transition and these men have worked very hard to get to where they are. Once again though, this is to remind trans men/guys that just because you’re trans it DOESN’T mean that you can’t look the way you want to look.
TRANS WOMAN VERSION

Okay, so I usually don’t do running stories in the strip, but for this I need to make an exception. As many of you know, as of the 12th of February, I am officially and LEGALLY Dee. Uh… spoilers? This is something I avoided for the last few years, intimidated by the cost and the convoluted process that my state and county required to go through with it all. But back last fall, I had finally had enough. Until you have a reason to hate hearing your legal name, you really don’t realize just how often it pops up on an almost daily basis. The doctor? The Pharmacy? IRS? Paying ANY bill? It just follows you and I decided, with a lot of help, to finally attack this head on. And since it was not an uneventful process taking a few months of saving and contacting various offices followed by a few MORE months of drama, waiting and more drama, it seems like it’s the exact kind of story that this comic was created to tell. I WILL say that the trickiest part to work out for this strip was in figuring out how to NOT actually write my old name, which I didn’t want to do. Thankfully, Charlie Brown’s teacher offered inspiration. So, buckle in for the next few weeks, and I hope you enjoy. :)

Living in a house where you're constantly being deadnamed is exhausting.
Living in a house where you're constantly being misgendered is exhausting.
Living in a house where your boundaries are constantly violated and not taken seriously is exhausting.
Living in a house with people who love you but hurt you is exhausting.
Living in a house where you feel helpless and ignored (even though you know you are the one doing the shutting out) is exhausting.
I'm just so so tired.

I go to the store with my mom td and she asked me if I want a deodorant, so I go look and I smell a old spice one. My mom immediately is like omg why are u smelling that one u can not get a ✨men’s✨ deodorant. And she kept calling out my dead name. It just hurt because other people definitely heard and I thought I was passing pretty well up until this point... Anyways I didn’t get deodorant lol.
