The Master Emerald stolen (again)!

While Station Square celebrates the New Year and the election of Sally Acorn as President of Meridia, Shadow the Hedgehog appears on Angel Island to steal the Master Emerald. The fabled floating island narrowly misses the city, prompting Sonic and Tails to fly out to the bay to investigate where it has crash landed...

Eon's World Vol. 1, Chapter 42: 'A Thief in the Night' first went up on my website between August 12 and August 25, 2022 and is (as of today's date, July 29, 2025) the most recent chapter of Eon's World to go online, which means there won't be any more uploads like this for the near future. I am working hard to get this comic going again, but it's a lot of work and I don't seem to have the time I used to have. But we'll get there. I've already begun work on the next chapter and I have the next five seasons planned out already, so it will happen.

Abducted!

While confronting Sonic the Hedgehog in attempt to prevent a dark future, Silver the Hedgehog is abducted by the time agent, Katherine Elm and taken aboard the mysterious spaceship, Potentia. Aboard this strange alien vessel, the Black Sabre has plans to neutralise Silver and end his threat to the timeline permanently...

Eon's World Vol. 1, Chapter 39: 'Potentia' first went up on my website between June 24 and July 14, 2022. This chapter is noteworthy for being the first to feature Sonic's parents, who were inspired by a Tumblr page you can find here.

Race for the Chaos Emeralds! 

While en route to Doctor Eggman's pyramid base to recover the seven Chaos Emeralds, Sonic and Tails are attacked by the Echidna Empire, aboard their new cruiser, the Revenant. Sensing opportunity now that Eggman has been imprisoned, Sora-Ya and her minions are also on their way to secure the priceless gems, but they aren't the only contenders our heroes will have to deal with...

Eon's World Vol. 1, Chapter 38: 'Come Fly With Me' first went up on my website between May 25 and June 23, 2022. 

This one is noteworthy for being the first chapter of Vol. 1 to make use of lot more 3D models than previous chapters, particularly ship interiors, whereas previously I'd used sprite backgrounds for them. I prefer it this way, because a 3D model is more versatile than a static background image that I can't rotate or do much to create more than an illusion of depth with. It's also the debut of the 3D model I made of the Tornado 2, which was a challenge to make, because it's very different to my usual style, but I'm very proud of the result and it allowed for a much more dramatic aerial encounter than would have been possible with the sprites I'd used previously. 

Of course, the drawback here is the requirement to make more 3D sets for situations like this and it's part of why the comic went on hiatus not too long after this chapter. But I'm working on getting it back underway.

A village in distress! Antoine D'Coolette leads a team of Freedom Fighters to the remote village of Whitetail Lake in Holoska, where the local Wolf Pack clan faces eviction by the greedy ExoTech corporation...

Eon's World Vol. 1, Chapter 37: 'Whispers of a Distant Star' first went up on my website between May 4 and May 24, 2022. This chapter is noteworthy for being the first in my comic to feature Breezie the Hedgehog, who first appeared in the old Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon and was later reimagined for the Archie comics reboot. Her portrayal here is based on the latter, though I admit, I've made it far less ambiguous whether or not she's a villain than the official Sonic comic did. 

In addition to characters I've created, such as Sandy and Snowmane of the Northern Wolf Pack, there are a couple of other first appearances here, but I'd be giving the game away if I said who. One might be instantly recognisable to Sonic fans, but the other might be a trickier and the only people likely to get it are those who've read Eon's World Vol. 2 (which I started before Vol. 1 for reasons that are too complicated to get into here).

Temporal mystery! CJ Kitmyth encounters a strange traveller named Silver the Hedgehog, who claims to be from the future...

Eon's World Vol. 1, Chapter 36: 'A Fugitive in Time' first went up on my website between April 22 and May 3, 2022 and is noteworthy for being the first chapter of the comic to feature Silver the Hedgehog, as well as one of my own characters, Katherine Elm.

Thieves in the Black Mountains! While attending the knighting ceremony of their friend, Eon Squirrel, the Freedom Fighters learn that the Echidna Empire is staging a raid against a secure military compound to the north. Hoping to prove himself worthy of them, Eon goes with his new comrades in an effort to stop the Imperials from escaping the base with a new supply of deadly weapons...

Eon's World Vol. 1, Chapter 35: 'For the Republic' is the opening chapter of the third (and current) season of the comic and it first went up on my website between April 4 and April 21, 2022. This chapter is noteworthy for being the first to feature the new, fully custom character sprites that are both larger and more detailed than the Sonic Advance and Mega Man Z style sprites I'd been using previously.

I started making these new sprites before even finishing season 2 of the comic around July 2020, and they presented a new problem in that, being so detailed, they take a much longer time to make, which is part of the reason it took two years to get started on season 3. And as of July 24, 2025, season 3 remains unfinished, largely because of a lot of RL stuff getting in the way, but also in part because of the new sprites that are needed. Every single character needs updated sprites and that is a lot of work.

Insurrection! With the help of Sally Acorn and Laura Timmons, Sonic the Hedgehog and Knuckles the Echidna mount a daring rescue mission to Devil's Island, where GUN is holding the Freedom Fighters captive...

Eon's World Vol. 1, Chapter 34: 'Insurrection' first went up on my website between August 14 and September 6, 2020 and was the final chapter of the comic's second season.

Brainwashed! Knuckles the Echidna has been captured by the Echidna Empire and forced to become Sora-Ya's loyal servant. She sends her new minion to the ARK in an effort to recapture the order's former base of operations from Doctor Eggman, where Knuckles encounters an unexpected opponent...
