Came to terms with it quickly

Didn't date any girls

Doesn't burden anyone else with his queerness - processes his grief in silence and making himself as small as possible

Doesn't expect anything from others - specifically straight people

Prioritizes the happiness of straight people over his own

They like him because he doesn't challenge their worldview. That they are "able to tell", that queerness should be private, that queer people should "know" and have no consequences on those around them while they are processing, that queer people - even when fearing for their lives - should rather be outed than date someone to hide

This is not saying he isn't good representation. He exists in the real world, this is saying why he can only be truly good representation in the context of having another character to contrast with in experience.

They like that they don't have to confront anything in themselves or do anything for him but say "it's ok to be gay!" They like that when they say "you don't deserve the same happiness as straight people", he agrees.

They like a queer person who hates himself.

Just saw it again so to anyone who got got by this just btw:

Finn never said the ending of the show's plotline was confusing. A bunch of people said the headline and not the article.

He said the show itself ending, him leaving a job he's had for 10 years, was sad and confusing.

In the same article, maybe even same breath, he described the PLOT ending as "perfect".

He does think it ends sad and confusing. He thinks it ends perfectly and leaving as an actor has been sad and confusing.

when talking about the party, i find it strange that people won't include erica, who actually plays d&d. she is as much as everyone else part of the group, even if she is younger. most of the time she is the one solving things, because she is very smart and clever.

for me the party has always included her starting from s3 and this idea was consolidated when s4e1 was aired. idk.

Warning there is possible spoilers ahead due to me using bts content not officially released by netflix, just so you are aware!

Vickie is very much confirmed to have filmed at the hospital, it was the very first location she filmed at back in february. Amybeth posted photos of herself, the corridor, and Robin in a patient room. Definite.

To our knowledge, s5 filmed two big chunks at the hospital: once in february, once in september. Robin was confirmed at both. These pics of Robin and Lucas outside are from the september chunk, where Lucas is wearing the same outfit as in the teaser frame.

Fans reported to have spotted Robin filming inside the hospital running down the corridors with an unspecified character, so not Lucas.

Amybeth was also confirmed to be in in atlanta in september, posting about going to see Finn's movie hell of a summer at a theatre in atl with a member of the st crew (this photo is from the 8th, filming at the hospital happened from the 13th to the 16th; Robin was spotted with the unspecified character on the 13th). It should be known that Amybeth lives in england, and was flying back there when she wasn't needed for the show.

A month later (16th october), filming took place at the radio station, where a girl with short, ginger hair, wearing a candy striper uniform (same as the teaser shot), was spotted. It is not Amybeth, most likely a stunt double.

Robin was also spotted filming here with Lucas, Mike, Will and Joyce (blurry but identified by her half up bob with the teal hair clip).

The weekend those scenes were filmed, epic cons stranger things convention happened, where Maya and Amybeth did a panel. After answering a question explaining a type of scene, Maya said that she and Amybeth had filmed a scene like that "the other day", assumedly the day the radio station pics were taken by fans.

In the shot itself, the back of her hair looks incredibly similar (her hair hasn't changed much between seasons, only slightly increased in length). The colour looks slightly darker, but that could just be down to colour grading and lighting, it's a dark boiler room with blinking lights, after all (Max's hair also looks darker).

It's also just VERY much in Vickie's nature to be a volunteer, given how she volunteered at the earthquake relief centre in s4. Like... trust me on this.

It is not a random nurse, it is not Nancy with freshly cut and dyed hair, it is not Max double vision, it is Vickie actually having involvement in the plot. I know, crazy, but true.

Now what exactly she DOES I don't know, but she's there, and that's good enough for me right now.
