Here’s the thing: my parents switch channels once this show comes up. I only watch online, but I haven’t kept up lately due to acad stuff. Somehow tonight, I was able to hear a bit of the "ang nakaraan” part before my mom switched channels. I heard Wila mention the word “bisexual” just before the show on the TV changed. I immediately Googled about it which led me to this post. I AM JUST INTERNALLY SCREAMING RIGHT NOW WOOOOT. I never thought that I’d live to see a canon bisexual homoromantic character on Phlippine TV. This is really a huge step, and this is personally a big deal for me: lately, I’ve been questioning myself whether being bisexual homoromantic is a valid thing. It feels great to see someone, albeit a fictional character, who feels the same way as I do. :)

I initially disliked the show’s dictionary approach in introducing all those terms about sexuality, but I realized that it can help the non-LGBT people in understanding us better. (I hope it really does.) I just wish that my parents watched this show, too. :( There are times when they channel surf and watch a bit of it, but they’ve had an indifferent attitude to it so far.
