I think it would be very cute and in character if Zeb and Alex both planned to propose at the same time. But with how competitive they are they obviously have to settle who actually gets the right to be the one to propose. So once they've gotten over the high of a double proposal, they plan out a sparring match. The winner gets the other's hand in marriage. Everyone else is confused about how in the world it matters, but it does seem very in line for them, so of course their loved ones show up to watch the match. It basically turns into their weird version of an engagement party. Zeb wins and Alex would be miffed about it, if Zeb pinning him to the ground and saying "Alexsandr Kallus, will you make me the happiest man in the world and yield?" hadn't been the most romantic thing Alex had ever experienced.

How to write a character that's bad at kissing...
clumsy, messy, sloppy
uncoordinated
easily overwhelmed
unable to keep up or stay on pace with the other person
attempting to copy the other person but failing
shoving their tongue into the other persons mouth
not connecting their lips properly and accidentally clicking their teeth with the other persons
accidentally biting the other person
being too rough or too soft
doesn't know where to put their hands
awkward, stiff, unsure
forgets to breathe
too much spit

Hello! This was asked for by @kananarchiste and I've finally gotten around to writing it up-- my pattern for my crochet doll of Commander Cody-- and I'm giving it away for free! (If anyone does make this, please tag me-- I'd love to see it!!)
Commander Cody crochet doll pattern
Tumblr media
I've never written up a proper pattern before, so I apologize for any confusing bits or mistakes in advance. If you get stuck on something or if something is unclear, please shoot me an ask or DM and I'll do my best to help out.
Additional Pictures:

Yarn Weight: 4
Hook: 4 mm
Colors:
White
Yarn in Jango’s skin tone (I used Lion Brand Yarn’s Skein Tones yarn in adobe)
Black
Dark brown (for scar; contrasts with skin tone)
212th gold/orange (this can be hard to find. I got mine at a local independent store)
Grey
Extra materials:
Buttons and thread OR safety eyes (I used buttons because I like the look of them better)
Stitch markers
Yarn needle
Abbreviations Key:
Ch – chain
Dec – decrease
FO – fasten off
Inc – increase
Rep from * – repeat from *
Sc – single crochet
Sc2tog – single crochet two stitches together
Ss – slip stitch
St – stitch
Additional Notes:
All parts save for some embellishments are worked in the round. It is recommended that the crocheter mark each round for clarity.
Entire doll is worked in single US crochet.
Magic circle is NOT used.
I’m not sure what the gauge is, but mine is quite tight. Use a smaller hook if you feel as though your gauge is too loose.

After the emotions died down after yesterday's finale, I realized I feel more bitter than happy about this season. I'm obviously sad about the retirements (Kraftböck was my first ship ever, even if I didn’t know it back then!), and I hate the drama with cheating, but I think I'm mostly disappointed with my team, Poland. Being disapponted in PZN (our ski association) is nothing new, I always knew they weren’t the best and since Małysz joined them, my opinions about them are even worse. But right now, I feel deeply disappointed in our jumpers and that’s really sad and painful. I don’t like how they handled the situation with Thomas Thurnbichler. Obviously, I don’t have all the facts and insight into the team, but I feel like they weren’t fair in their cooperation. I think some of them acted like spoiled children who didn’t want to accept new methods and were convinced that they knew better. I think Thomas is a great coach, with great, innovative ideas. He loves Poland, he has a family in Kraków and he said his life is here. But I kinda wish he had never accepted the coach position, because I'm afraid that it set him back in his way to become better and it might make it harder for him to gain more respect of other coaches.
He behaved like a gentelman at the end, showing a class that some of our jumpers lack and I wish him all the best. I'm sad and ashamed that his journey in Poland ended like this. I hope other nations will notice and appreciate his potential, and that he will be happy again with his life.

Oof, what a season! I'm quite new on Tumblr and I stumbled upon a ski jumping community three (or four?) weeks before the end of the last season, so it was my first full season with you guys. I'm mostly a quiet observator, rarely commenting, but always reading and loving all your posts!
I started watching ski jumping 12 years ago, but for the last few years I was a bit bored with it, still watching, but not feeling deeply connected. Discovering a community here was a great gift that reminded me why I love this sport so much. I admire your dedication to this sport and I'm so so thankful for your posts and gifs and shared informations I wouldn’t have known if it weren’t for you. Thank you for this season, I can’t wait to "see" you all in a few months!

Cursory research into the meanings of Mandalorian armour colours...
Black - ne'tra = justice, an unshakeable moral code (also wanting to avoid stains on your clothes)
White - cin vhetin = a fresh start or clean slate (good for converts/adult adoptions)
Grey - genet = mourning a loved one (or recently rejected)
Gold - ve'vut = vengeance (a warning colour)
Silver - beskar = unpainted armour, a search for redemption (Din Djarin's guilt complex, anyone?)
Bronze - tranyc'bes - nobility and high status (favoured by stuck-up self-important jackasses)
Brown - daryc - valour, galantry, The Audacity (particularly when associated with them cunty lil jedi cape drops)
Tan - vhekadla - loyalty (lit. 'sandy' but I don't like sand, it's coarse and rough and...)
Maroon - daryc'tal - power (all hail Maroon 5, our benevolent overlords)
Red - ge'tal = honouring a parent (very popular, 10/10)
Scarlet - galar'tal - defiance and relentlessness (Mandalorian Scarlett Johansson omfg be still my bi heart)
Orange - shereshoy = shereshoy, a lust for life (the party people)
Yellow - shi'yayc - remembrance, burnt out vengeance (makes for funky funerals)
Mint green - cin varpan - lust for peace, guardians and peacekeepers (does not necessarily mean I want to fuck guardians and peacekeepers, get your head outta the gutter)
Green - vorpan = duty, commitment and hard work (favourite of farmers, too)
Teal - jahaal = healing, violence as a last resort, I've seen some shit and now I defend peace (favoured by healers and New Mandalorians)
Blue - kebiin = reliability and faithfulness (favoured by single parents)
Sky blue - kebii'tra = new love, newlyweds, marriage and all that fluffy stuff (Satine's famous jewellery TCW S2 - ObiTine for the soul)
Indigo - jiisaviin = prosperity, victory, the feeling that we have achieved our hopes (tempting fate, perhaps)
Lilac - saviin = luck, change, survival in adversity, hope for the future (associated with the old God of Luck)
Pink - cin ge'tal - respect and knowledge, a fusion of past and future (associated with journalists and academics)
Ofc this is a rough guide and if anyone either doesn't like my sense of humor or wants more detailed information, check out these posts too: x x x

The lighting artists who worked on The Bad Batch season 3 often talked about how intentional and symbolic the lighting was for this specific season. One of the first scenes I remember them pointing out was this, where the shadow of Crosshair’s cell leaves a shadow on Omega’s face that’s reminiscent of his marksman tattoo.
Tumblr media
What really fascinates me, though, is how this evolves later on in this episode when time has passed, and Omega is older. The lighting shifts; rather than having the circle over her face, the left half of her face is cast in shadow—making her look like she has Hunter’s tattoo.
Tumblr media
As Omega went from being younger to being older, she literally progressed in the lighting from being the youngest (Crosshair) to the oldest (Hunter). I absolutely love what this little detail foreshadowed. I can’t help but wonder just how much Omega really began to remind Crosshair of Hunter when she became so much like him.
