To put it bluntly, the only way to end homelessness is to house people or kill them.
That's it. Those are your options. Homelessness doesn't go away based on "crime crackdowns."
You will imprison the unhoused, and when they are free, they will be unhoused again. Or they will die in prison.
When you burn encampments or force people out without their stuff, they remain unhoused or freeze to death.
After working with the unhoused, it's become abundantly clear that those who don't want to support them instead want them dead.
There is blood on the hands of every government and organization that controls the homeless population with force instead of compassion.

Do the clothes we wear in dreams really conceal naked dream-bodies? Aren't our dream-costumes our nakedness conveyed by other means? What basis is there in dreams for making a meaningful distinction between the actor and her vestment, her hand from the prop she wields-indeed, between her self and all the other figures that complete the imaginal dramatis personae? Every dream image brings forth the naked self from the angle of a particular night or a particular light. We are all naked in dreams, because every dream is our nakedness made visible.

we often find ourselves to triggered by small stresses to be aware that they accumulate creating a state of disharmony and fear. The reminder today is not to project these fears onto yourself and others and to allow yourself a state of internal peace and to give yourself love. Be gentle with yourself and heal your wounds, and don't push yourself to hard, it's the gentleness of spirit that heals us all.

The Black Death brought massive social upheaval. By depleting the population, it weakened the ruling classes and increased the economic power of laborers, who were now fewer in number

Anyway, for all I am fronting an arch tone here, I am somewhat susceptible to such narratives, being myself a middle-aged dude who likes to imagine he's still got it, whatever "it" is.

I was doing laundry yesterday and realized I have t-shirts that are over a decade old. They've outlasted schools, jobs, and girlfriends. I can't wear them anymore because they look terrible, but I can't get rid of them either.
These t-shirts are emblematic of times and places in my life that have come and gone, and are therefore in a sense irreplaceable.
So, should I keep them, for the sake of surety of possession?
