╠ ⚔ ╣ — ＩＴ had all begun innocently enough - well, as innocent as someone like Wade could be. The takeout bag of Mexican food was entirely harmless in itself, at least, though it almost ends up falling to the floor upon the sight the man was met with after BARGING in. And for once in his life, Wade Wilson was rendered speechless. Never did he wish to see Peter like this, never did he ever think he would, and his heart breaks into another thousand pieces once he spots the freshly fallen tears being fruitlessly brushed away.

               “Petey…?” he tries, unsure of how to                     approach the teen, at a loss of where to                     start. He’s not exactly the comforting type,                     but unlike any other somber situation he’s                     been faced with before, this time he doesn’t                     try to joke it off. “What - what’s the matter?”

He knew from the moment Wade walked in, that he wouldn’t get away with not talking about this. He knew Wade wouldn’t opt to ignore his tear-stained cheeks. That just wasn’t Wade. There were probably a lot of things Wade didn’t care about, but the things he did care about, he cared about so much it hurt. And Peter just knew he was one of those things, as much as he felt like he didn’t deserve to be.

Peter half-heartedly shrugged. He struggled to find a clear answer from between the various issues on his mind. He fought to find words, coming up blank, and shaking his head.  ❝ Don’t worry about it. It’ll pass. Always does, ❞ he said quietly, and his gaze failed to meet Wade’s again for a long moment.  ❝ Is that Mexican? ❞ The perfect topic change.

In typical Wade fashion, the mercenary had knocked, but never actually waited for a response. Peter’s mouth was open, ready to call out for Wade to “wait a moment, I’ll be there in a minute!”... but he’d let himself in before the words could leave his lips.

❝ No one ever teach you about manners? ❞ the boy mumbled, with a sniffle, a telltale sign that he was holding back another wave of tears. ❝ What do you want, anyway? ❞ Slender hands moved to quickly wipe tears from his cheeks, trying to erase all of those signs of his breakdown. Wade didn’t need to see this; didn’t need to discover that his little poster boy of everything good and happy, was actually so, so broken.

╠ ⚔ ╣ — ＮＯＴＥ to self: definitely explore the whole, newfound tickling thing at the absolute earliest convenience. Until then, Wade gives another firm poke to the very same spot for good measure, simply because that full-body reaction was priceless.

             “I gotta say, if there’s anybody out there who                   can find a way to actually kill me, it’d be you,                   Petey-boy. And by kill, I of course mean kill                   with kindness. Or cuteness.”

                  Then, without any preconceived warning, before Wade can let loose any other witty or flirty comment, Peter goes and says something like THAT, and he swears he can feelhis brain short-circuiting. It’s really no secret that Wade is TOTALLY into Peter. Or, maybe it is. It’s insanely hard to tell whether or not anyone takes him seriously anymore.

                  Either way, the possibility of this - whatever this thing between them is - going further than just semi-serious courting and sort-of-senseless taunting is, quite frankly, a fucking dream come true. In conclusion, Wade doesn’t even attempt to hide the excitementin his voice when he speaks up again, simultaneously not caring if he’s jumping WAY ahead of himself.

             “Holy fuck-muffin. Are you asking me on a                   date right now? Because if you are, you have                   to know the answer is hell YES. Obviously.”

Peter really had no clue what he was getting himself into now. He definitely wasn’t complaining though. He would see where this would take them, and roll with it. Because really, Peter knew he deserved something good in the way of romance right about now. It had been too long since he was fortunate in that realm. Wade seemed like he was more than happy to be that saviour.

❝ You, me, that Mexican place that just opened up down the street? ❞ he tried with a bright smile, doing everything he could to ignore the feeling of his heart leaping into his throat, and the urge to just wrap all four limbs around Wade the tightest he could. He made a mental note to do so one day, though. Wade looked like perfect cuddle material.

It felt really, really nice to know that he was wanted, and that the one that wanted him, Peter wanted just as much in return. Wade wasn’t one of the bullies just messing with Peter, giving him shit. His heart fluttered hard in his chest.
