I've decided to go ahead and name the little Pichu I rescued "Yuzu" after all. He's a little sweetheart, loves to hide in Butter's mane. He's settling in well, I'm glad he's here. Something about him feels familiar. Maybe one of my parents or other friends had a Pichu at some point before the fall? It's good to jog my memory, but thinking about it too long gives me a headache.

I have a bit of a habit of doing that, apparently! There's a fruit called a Yuzu, and that's sticking out to me as a name... I'll give it some more thought but it feels right, y'know?

if anyone was wondering why i've been so absent the past few days, I was on my way to the market and this little guy ran out to me and would not stop clinging to my leg. Butter and I shooed away the Drifblim while he climbed up my body and sat on my shoulder.

i took him to the local shelter to make sure everything was okay with him, but he had no registered trainer, and has a few of those fancy egg moves, apparently. he ran up to me like he was used to humans, but Pichu aren't seen in the part of Paldea I was in, so I think a trainer released him up there because they hoped that the little guy wouldn't be able to find their way back home... it's awful when people do that. I was just talking about adopting a Raichu, but I suppose raising one wouldn't be too bad either :) Still don't have a name for the little guy, though. I'll take suggestions!

I'm from Hoenn originally, so I'm VERY biased; One of the few memories that came back quickly after returning to civilisation was watching Champions Wallace and Steven battling other trainers. My mom told me about when I was really little and she took me to go see them. Said something about me happily squealing and saying "I wanna be a champion one day!" Hoping I can maybe get there, once I get used to life again, haha.

You know, one of the things I've noticed about this website is that there really is a lot of people from other regions! I've only seen a few other Galarians! I have quite a few questions, really.

But.. what really has me curious...

This blog takes place in the scarlet timeline ambiguously after area zero but prior to the events of teal mask & indigo disc so no future paradoxes, Uva, etc. Turo does technically still exist but because it’s scarlet he won’t be relevant aside from a few fatherless jokes

I think it’s good. A close friend of mine chose a similar name for her Scorbunny, something I think literally means “fire bunny”, another friend named their Mudkip “Muddy”.

Safe to say I believe Soot is a fine name for the little guy.

...Would Soot be a good Litten name? Or is that too basic-

i keep bumping into things because my depth perception sucks now. maybe I should get a seeing eye jolteon or something. Butter deserves another friend that we don't have to go on walks to meet. Might see if the shelter has any cuddly Raichu, too. ...can you tell I like electric types.

Firstly! Thank you for being my first ask!! Onto the question... Hm... I guess I enjoy what people call "the indomitable human spirit"? The strength and resolve to keep going through adversity. Some of the people from before the fall told me that Butter n' I were like that a whole lot... I hope I can be like that again someday. I did get out of Area Zero through freeclimbing the wall, after all.
