Just start writing. No, really, I mean it. It doesnt have to be the next "right" word. Or about the story at all. You an write "Holy fuck no idea what to write anyway heres Wonderwall" and then the text of wonderwall. But as soon as you start to write, and you don't stop, after a bit of writing the fear and confusion and all that out, you can just write down in bullet points what will happen in the scene. Or how you would tell it your best friend after 2 bottles of wine, like "Okay, and then that BITCH comes around and thinks he owns the place..." Just get it to paper somehow. Bonus points if you're laughing <3 And then keep writing. you can fix it in editing, or you can just rewrite it again. Just keep writing, and the rest will fix itself somehow <3

I was about to start re-writing/continuing on my story, I start up my chapters and ....*BLANK*

I know (for the most part) how I want this story to go, but I can't get any actual words down on paper. It's so frustrating.

Does anyone have the same problem? What can I do to solve this?

Oh oh oh oh AND

writing in another language and forgetting the most basic bitch words ever. Like "Reward" or "Fishing rod" or the fact you cant translate proverbs word for word EVEN THOUGH IT WOULD BE PERFECT AND THE OTHER LANGUAGE DOESNT HAVE THE PERFECT EQUIVALENT LIKE WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE IS NO "schaffe schaffe häusle baue" IN ENGLISCH

As a writer, I spend 90% of my time googling synonyms or searching for words I know but have incidentally forgotten right in the moment that I need it for once.

Cause of my insomnia number one:

Because writing can be just as high key magical. Feeling what was just your hand flow to a page, as your fingers dance faster and faster on the keys, typos slurring words as if your mind was drunk on the other world. Time slips by into nothing, as what was just a secret inside you starts blooms outwards, making your truth part of this world. And when others read it? Oh love, let them READ it. Let them join you in your world and see what is inside you and cry and laugh with you and see what you bled on the page with every minute you sat there writing and editiong and polishign until it was perfect. People know something true when they see it. Love the process just as much as you love the result, and you will go back to writing before people finished reading your first chapter.

Also, I like the clicky clack of the keys. It makes my brain go brrrrt o.o

Why would I write when I could imagine my characters going through the story and then get upset when a copy of the work doesn’t magically appear in front of me

Tourney of Tales just started with the first time zone

Right now I am sitting here with a pair of fox ears while wearing elven ears while writing while talking to international friends while playing the Leader of a Red Panda house like in Game of Thrones while planning treaties while inventing magical toys while drinking wayyy too much caffeine in my matcha latte while the twitch chat waits for their timezone to start writing too to win a silly little internet price while planning lore for silly panda lore about cuddeling and friendship bracelets while chat is talking about penguins in a cafeteria and crocheting plushies and waiting for their timezone to drop and get to writing, too.

If anybody knows any good plushies to crochet so we can keep chat from eating us alive, that would be great <3
