Cue a bunch of cybertronians thinking that they are DYING because they feel something in their spark chamber/notice their frame sending materials to a gestation chamber (which if they remember correctly has never been there before??) and some who have cryptic carriages suddenly having a sparkling one day

hhhhsgh Thinking about this one media (book, maybe) i heard of in passing. The humans stopped dying, aging, and being born at one point and I think football was important to the plot, and I'm imagining this version of humanity meeting the Cybertronians. Maybe the Maltobots wouldn't have to lose their human family. Maybe some humans would be audacious to directly fight a bot (miko).

But for now, specifically imagining this with a bot x reader. You're so tired of living. War is a pointless waste of resources but then your little house is in the crossfire of a battle, the first real change you've seen in your little slice of the forest in the longest time and you're inevitably dragged into the Autobot/Decepticon conflict.

You finally meet someone, something, that could possibly relate to what you're going through but with a different perspective on it than you. They've expected long-ish lives from the moment they onlined. You expected to die at the age of 100 and now are faced with having to live much past that.

They are so much bigger and grander but their acceptance of their long lifespan makes your seemingly unending one a little more tolerable.

imagine being a human on the nemesis, not as a partner that was kidnapped for one of the bots' personal devices, no, but you're the human doctor.

Theres other humans on board, most just victims of being kidnapped because the con for some reason... wanting a human to mess around with or coddle or whatever (some humans having willingly going with their con), and it wasn't until Megatron's human got sick that you came in. And now you have to deal with the bullshit of many, many, ignorant cons because even though they can't touch/harm you physically (because it'd be a hassle to get another doctor) they still somehow manage to harrass you mentally with their questions, and you're the most accessible human nearby after all.

insane transformers x voltron au because its nearly 2am

that one episode where the paladins are accidentally sent to an alternate dimension, and when they're leaving (I don't remember if they were in their lions or not, but for the au purposes lets say they were and were assembled as voltron) something goes awry when going back through and they lose contact with the ship and the alternate dimension and find themselves in some random empty space with no idetifiable planets or asteroid belts or anything nearby, and their map isn't working.

Floating through space for a while until they thankfully stumble upon a planet.

One that houses an autobot (or decepticon or unaffiliated).

Now to somehow convince this random walking, talking robot whose got a blaster pointed to your face and demanding your affiliation that you aren't an 'Autobot' or 'Decepticon' when you don't even know what that is

or, in short, I find the idea of Everyone else thinking that Voltron is just a combiner of a bunch of beastformers is funny and team voltron having to go along with it

Cybertronian reproductive headcanons

i was thinking about it while scrolling through some tags a bit ago and thought maybe I could put it all into writing. (this is mostly for me more than anything lmao) (I got a Little carried away)

Firstly, taking into account some of the canon ways of reproduction (heavily inspired by that) such as the allspark and those hotspots thht i don't quite remember the name of.

I do think forged bots would be predominant but there would also be bots who are the offspring of other bots. Now the actual carrying process itself is simpler in writing than actually doing it. Sparkmerge, keep the spark for a few deca cycles, and get the spark protoform somehow (I find the idea of a carrier throwing their sparkling near a hotspot so their frame can be forged a little humorous. I don't think it's completely off the table but probably not recommended unless the sparkling in question is as strong as a newspark that'd be shot out of one of the hotspots)

The most difficult part is keeping the newspark from fizzing/fading out, or being reabsorbed. Since the sparkling is also very taxing on the carrier(s) spark itself, it's not uncommon for partners to take turns carrying the spark in the later stages because the sparkling is essentially a leech to the carrier. If a carrier keeps a sparkling within their spark chamber for too long they are at risk of death or some other spark disease from the stress that their spark would be placed under (yikes!). Though, the bot that the sparkling first appears within is considered the Carrier for clear reasons. (Also, because sparklings are able to be transported into another spark chamber in the mid-later stages, there are things such as sparkling donors, similar to egg/sperm ones for humans)

Young sparklings (freshly formed, that is) are VERY SUSCEPTIBLE to abrupt changes, so many times Carriers aren't even aware that they are (unless they've been actively trying with partner(s)) so the sparkling will oftentimes just die/be reabsorbed by the carrier before anyone knows. Carriers who became carriers by accident aren't very common for this reason.

Sparklings are also rarely formed one at a time! They come in multiples due to high mortality rate. They experience what could be closest to their infancy and young childhood at this stage. They're taking a lot from their carriers, including some information. It's not anything strong, just a vague idea of the world and random things.

Carriers do go through frame changes, though minor. At most, the plating and/or glass surrounding their spark chamber will become thicker.

You know how bugs process everything a LOT faster than we do and its how they move extra fast and everything? Imagine we were like that but to like... cybertronians.

Human allies of the Autobots have to speak extra slow and loud so they can understand us without having to play back the memory and slowing our speech down, and whenever we speak to each other (in any language, but imagine ones where people speak especially fast like Spanish) they don't even try most of the time.

getting chased down by a con whose struggling to capture you because you can see every move they're going to make next so all you gotta do is move fast enough to avoid it if you can
