STRENGTH | SUPERMAN ! 2025
Tumblr media
David!Superman x fem!luthor!reader
SUMMARY: Haunted by your brother’s sins and your own silence, you stand before Superman—where guilt meets hope, and strength takes a new shape
WARNINGS: heavy angst, Mentions of suicidal ideation and self-loathing, Themes of guilt, grief, and emotional breakdown, References to smoking and self-destructive behavior.
1.8k words
The glow of the cigarette burns faintly in the dark, the only small light against the restless sprawl of the city. You shouldn’t be out here—your brother would lose his mind if he knew. But Lex has already lit the world on fire. What does it matter if you let yourself smolder with it?
Your hands tremble slightly as you exhale the smoke into the summer night air. Not because of the nicotine—because of the weight. The weight of his actions. Lex’s voice still echoes in your head from the broadcast, every word sharper than the last: He is not your savior. He is a threat. And I will prove it.
The leak, the invasion of something sacred—someone’s last words, twisted into a weapon. Even you, who grew up in Lex’s shadow and learned early how merciless he could be, didn’t think he would stoop that low. And yet here you are, clutching your ribs as though that could hold together everything breaking inside of you.
You blink hard at the skyline. The city doesn’t feel alive tonight. It feels scared. Restless. And for the first time, you feel it too.
Then the wind shifts.
It’s not the soft current of a summer breeze—it’s stronger, purposeful, almost like the air itself makes room. You freeze. For a second you think maybe it’s paranoia, the product of a sleepless, grief-ridden mind. But then you hear the faint, unmistakable thrum, like the wings of a bird that isn’t a bird at all.
And then he’s there.
Not on a screen, not on the news, not at some untouchable distance—but standing across from you on the balcony, silent, steady, with a presence that makes your breath catch. His cape stirs faintly in the air, the moon carving silver into the “S” on his chest.
Superman.
Your pulse spikes. The cigarette wavers in your hand before you crush it out in the ashtray, as if suddenly embarrassed. You can’t stop staring, and yet your mind races with disbelief. Why here? Why you?
"Those aren’t good for you,” he says quietly, his voice steady but carrying a warmth that catches you off guard.
You blink at him, caught between awe and disbelief. “What?”
“The cigarettes,” he says, nodding slightly toward the ashtray. “They’re not good for you.”
A nervous laugh slips out before you can stop it, bitter and small. “You came all this way to give me a health lecture?”
His mouth tips in the faintest smile, but it doesn’t reach his eyes. “No. Just… I don’t like seeing someone hurt themselves.”
You cross your arms, trying to steady yourself. The question that’s been clawing at your throat since he appeared finally spills out. “Why are you here?”
He’s quiet for a moment, as if weighing his answer. “I was flying,” he says at last. “I saw you. I thought maybe… you looked like you needed someone.”
The laugh that escapes you this time is sharp, almost cruel, though not at him—at yourself. “You picked me? Of all people in this city, me?” You shake your head, gripping the railing hard enough your knuckles ache. “You know who I am, don’t you?”
“Yes,” he says simply.
“Then why?” Your voice cracks as you turn to him, raw and sharp-edged. “Why would you ever willingly get close to me? After what my brother did to you today—after everything he said, after the way he… he dragged you through the mud? I should be the last person on earth you’d want to talk to.”
Superman holds your gaze, but there’s no anger in his face. No accusation. Only a calm that unsettles you more than fury ever could. “Because you don’t look like him,” he says carefully. “You look… sad.”
You swallow hard, the word slicing through the last of your composure. Sad doesn’t even begin to cover it. “Sad?” you whisper, shaking your head. “I feel… crushed. Broken. Like the whole world fell apart in a day and somehow it’s my fault just because I share his blood. Do you know what that’s like? To carry someone else’s sins in your chest? To feel like you can’t breathe because their shadow is all anyone sees?”
The tears you’ve been holding back sting hot in your eyes, and you force yourself to look away from him. “I’m a Luthor. That’s all anyone will ever see. And after today, it’s worse than ever. Lex painted you as a monster, and the world—God, the world ate it up. Just like that, they turned their backs on you.”
Superman doesn’t interrupt. He doesn’t try to stop the storm spilling out of you. He just listens, standing steady in the quiet, letting you speak.
“It’s insane,” you go on, your voice trembling. “How quickly they forgot. All those people who worshipped you, who clapped and cheered every time you saved them—they just… let it go. Like you were never a hero at all. Like everything you’ve done, everything you’ve sacrificed, never mattered. And I can’t—” You choke on the words, pressing your hands hard to your face. “I can’t believe them. And I can’t believe him. My own brother.”
When you lower your hands, Superman is still there. Still watching. There’s no pity in his expression—only a kind of quiet understanding.
You shake your head again, voice dropping to a whisper. “I don’t know why I’m even saying this to you. You don’t owe me anything. And God knows you don’t owe the Luthors anything. But despite everything he’s done, despite all his poison—I believe in you.”
Your chest rises and falls unevenly, every word trembling out like confession. “I don’t believe you were ever here to rule us. I don’t believe you were ever meant to hurt us. I believe you came here because you wanted to help. Because you wanted to give us something better. Hope. And it’s… it’s killing me to see everyone throw that away. To see them treat you like a threat instead of the man who’s saved their lives a hundred times over.”
Silence stretches between you, heavy but not suffocating. For the first time in what feels like years, your voice has stopped shaking.
Finally, Superman speaks, his tone soft. “Thank you.”
You blink, caught off guard.
He takes a slow breath, his eyes steady on yours. “You didn’t have to say that. But you did. And tonight, that means more than you know.”
The ache in your chest loosens, just slightly. You let the words sink in, holding onto them like they’re the only thing keeping you upright.
But the relief is fleeting, quickly drowned out by the tide of guilt rising again. You grip the railing harder, your knuckles pale. “You shouldn’t thank me,” you murmur.
Superman tilts his head faintly. “Why not?”
“Because…” Your throat closes, and you have to force the words out. “Because I don’t deserve to stand here. I don’t deserve to even look at you.”
His brow furrows slightly, but he waits.
“I went with him,” you confess, the words breaking out in a rush. “To the Fortress. I was there. I saw what he was doing, I saw what he wanted—and I said nothing. I stood there like some useless, silent shadow while my brother destroyed your...robots and desecrated something sacred. And I… I let him. I didn’t stop him. I didn’t warn you. I didn’t even try. Do you understand?” Your voice cracks, tears spilling down your cheeks. “I’m a coward. I let him do this to you. To everyone. And now the whole world is burning in his lies because I—” You slam a trembling hand against your chest. “Because I stayed silent.”
Superman’s expression doesn’t shift into anger. He doesn’t recoil. He only watches you, steady as stone.
The words keep spilling, raw and unstoppable. “You think I look sad? I don’t just feel sad—I feel worthless. I wish I was dead. I wish I’d never even existed. Because all I am is another Luthor. Another piece of his poison. If I wasn’t here, maybe none of this would’ve happened. Maybe you’d still be standing tall instead of… instead of being hunted, condemned, betrayed.”
You can hardly breathe now. The sobs claw at your throat, your chest heaving as though every word is tearing you apart from the inside. “I stood in the Fortress with him. I saw the cruelty in his eyes. I knew it was wrong. And I still did nothing. What does that make me, Superman? What does that make me if not just like him?”
The silence that follows is unbearable. You can’t bring yourself to look at him, to see what must surely be disappointment in his face.
But then—his voice, low and calm.
“It makes you human.”
The words land like a weight, heavy but not crushing. Slowly, cautiously, you look up at him.
“There isn’t a person alive who hasn’t been afraid,” he says. His eyes aren’t sharp with judgment, but steady with something else—something like faith. “Fear makes us freeze. It makes us silent. And sometimes… it makes us think we’re powerless. But silence in the past doesn’t mean silence forever.”
Your lip trembles, and you shake your head. “You don’t understand. I could have done something.”
“Maybe,” he admits. “But maybe not. Lex Luthor doesn’t listen to anyone. You know that better than most. You can’t blame yourself for the choices he made.”
“I should’ve tried,” you whisper.
“Then try now,” he answers simply, his voice steady, sure. “You can’t change what happened in that Fortress. But you can choose who you want to be tomorrow. You can choose whether you let his shadow bury you, or whether you step out of it.”
Your tears fall harder, because it’s the first time anyone has spoken to you like you aren’t already ruined.
“I don’t see a coward,” Superman continues, his gaze holding yours. “I see someone who knows what cruelty looks like. Someone who carries pain because they care. You care. That isn’t weakness. It’s strength.”
You press your hand to your mouth, shaking, trying to hold yourself together. “I don’t feel strong,” you confess.
He shakes his head, just slightly. “Strength isn’t about being unbreakable, or never being afraid. Strength is what you choose when you have fallen—when you’re afraid, when you think you can’t go on—and you still decide to stand. You think you’re weak because you were silent, but weakness isn’t silence. Weakness would be letting guilt chain you forever. You’re here, now, choosing to speak, choosing to feel. That choice—that courage—that’s strength. And it’s something your brother will never understand.”
For a long, trembling moment, you can’t speak. You can only breathe, broken and uneven, but slowly steadier under the weight of his words.
And for the first time in years, maybe ever, you wonder if being a Luthor doesn’t have to mean being a curse.

EFFECTIVE | CLARK KENT
Tumblr media
David!Clark Kent x fem!olsen!reader
SUMMARY : At the bustling Daily Planet, you, Jimmy Olsen’s charming and confident sister, unexpectedly visit, instantly captivating the newsroom—especially Clark Kent, who becomes adorably tongue-tied in your presence.
WARNINGS : mostly fluff, Clark Kent getting utterly wrecked by charm, Jimmy Olsen suffering comedic sibling humiliation
3.0k words
The Daily Planet was alive with its usual, borderline frantic hum.
Phones rang, reporters yelled over cubicle walls, and printers jammed in sync with someone’s muffled cursing. On the far side of the bullpen, Perry White’s door slammed shut with the kind of finality that meant someone’s story hadn’t quite made the cut.
Jimmy Olsen spun into the newsroom like a man shot out of a cannon, camera bag flung over one shoulder, shirt slightly wrinkled, and a half-eaten bagel clenched between his teeth.
He dropped into his seat across from Clark Kent’s desk with a heavy exhale.
“Morning,” Clark said, glancing up from his computer.
“Is it?” Jimmy mumbled through the bagel. “Because my train stalled, the coffee shop forgot the second espresso shot in my order, and a pigeon tried to land on my head in Midtown.”
Clark chuckled quietly. “You sure it wasn’t a drone?”
“Nope. I made eye contact with it. It knew what it was doing.”
Lois Lane walked by holding a manila folder and a very full coffee cup. “Please tell me that isn’t your excuse for being late today.”
Jimmy raised a finger. “Technically I’m five minutes early.”
“You’re five minutes late if you’re trying to impress Perry,” Lois shot back.
“Not everyone’s trying to impress him. Some of us are just trying to survive him.”
As she passed by, Cat Grant followed in her wake, heels clacking authoritatively. She paused at Jimmy’s desk just long enough to deliver her daily jab.
“You have a stain on your shirt.”
Jimmy looked down. “It’s artistic. Cream cheese is textural.”
Cat didn’t stop walking. “You’re going to die alone and stylishly disheveled.”
“Yet somehow,” Jimmy called after her, “I still have a better dating record than you.”
“Exactly,” Cat shot over her shoulder. “It’s tragic.”
Clark tried—and failed—not to laugh. “You kind of walked into that one.”
“Oh come on, Clark.” Jimmy leaned back in his chair and gestured around them. “Do you remember the gala last month? That art journalist with the blue dress practically wrote me poetry in real-time. I’ve got a magnetic vibe.”
“You screamed at a spider in the elevator two days ago.”
“I was ambushed.”
Lois reappeared beside Clark’s desk, now flipping through her notes.
“Look, Jimmy,” she said flatly, “I’ll admit you’ve somehow baffled the natural order of the universe. Women love you. It’s like watching a raccoon win a beauty contest. Weirdly impressive, slightly alarming.”
“Hey,” Jimmy said with mock offense. “Raccoons are adorable and resourceful.”
Clark smiled as he typed. “So… when do we get to meet your family? You talk about your sister all the time, but she’s like Bigfoot. Many claims, no sightings.”
Jimmy sat up straighter, a glint of pride—and nervousness—flashing across his face. “Actually… she’s stopping by today.”
Clark looked up. “Really?”
“Yeah. Just visiting. She’s got a layover in Metropolis for a few days, and I figured, hey, why not subject her to the madness?”
“Is this the sister who beat you at Mario Kart for twelve years straight?”
“The same,” Jimmy said, dramatically. “Lena ‘Turbo Mode’ Olsen. She’s smart. Cool. And—”
He paused.
Lois narrowed her eyes. “And?”
Jimmy sighed. “Okay. Just… do me a favor and don’t, like, fall in love with her.”
Clark blinked. “What?”
“I’m serious, man. It happens every time. I introduce her to my friends, and boom, instant crush. It’s like her mutant ability. She walks in, says hi, and suddenly people are writing sonnets.”
Lois raised an eyebrow. “You’re being dramatic.”
“No, I’m being traumatized. My college roommate asked her to marry him after one game night. She beat him at Scrabble. That was the trigger.”
Clark gave a small smile. “I’m sure she’s great.”
“She is,” Jimmy said with a nod. “But she’s also the only person alive who can roast me to dust in ten syllables or less, so just… brace yourself, okay?”
Lois muttered, “This is going to be so good.”
The elevator chimed.
No one really noticed it at first—not with Lois muttering something under her breath about fiscal fraud, and Clark flipping through zoning maps of Metropolis’s aging sewer infrastructure. Jimmy was elbow-deep in his camera bag, swearing softly as he dug around for a spare lens cap that was clearly lost in a black hole.
And then Cat Grant looked up—paused mid-step in her strut toward the break room—and blinked.
Hard.
A few heads turned after her, curiosity piqued by something in her expression. Even the intern closest to the elevator stuttered in his phone call, suddenly tongue-tied.
Then Lois turned around too.
“Oh,” she said, voice dry but vaguely impressed. “Okay. Yeah. That’s Jimmy’s sister?
Clark followed her gaze instinctively—then froze.
It was less like someone stepping out of an elevator and more like someone stepping onto a stage.
You weren’t subtle.
You wore a short, flared white dress that framed your figure with an almost dangerous precision. The puffed sleeves sat high, the deep plunging neckline left no ambiguity about your confidence, and the skirt swished above your thighs with each step. A wide, square collar framed the bare skin at your chest, soft scalloped trim catching the light. Your long hair tumbled in loose waves over your shoulders, and you smiled like you knew exactly how many heads were turning.
The room… paused.
Not froze — just stuttered. Reporters stumbled over their sentences. Keyboards stopped clacking. Even Perry White’s door cracked open slightly, as if the universe itself demanded witness.
Clark had only seen people react like that to Superman (himself) — and somehow, this was better.
Cat let out a low whistle. “Oh, Jimmy,” she muttered. “There’s no way she’s related to you.”
Lois blinked. “He’s gotta be adopted. No offense.”
“Rude,” Jimmy said automatically — then followed their gaze and froze. “Oh no.”
You spotted him
“JIMMY!” you beamed.
He stood up too fast, knocking over his chair with a loud clatter and scrambling to catch it before it hit the floor.
“Oh no,” he repeated, louder this time, and bolted toward you. “Why are you like this?”
“Like what?” you grinned, arms open. “Fashionable? Charming? Socially competent?”
You collided in a hug halfway across the bullpen, nearly knocking over an intern.
“You wore the dress,” Jimmy hissed as you separated.
“You said you weren’t gonna wear it!”
“You dared me,” you said sweetly. “And you know I’m petty.”
“Yeah, well, now Clark’s gonna short-circuit and Lois is gonna draft a wedding registry before lunch.”
“Sounds like a you problem.”
“I hate you.”
“No, you don’t.”
He groaned. “How long are you staying again?”
You ruffled his hair. “Long enough to emotionally damage you. Like a good sibling.”
Clark hadn’t moved. At some point, he’d lowered his zoning map and just… stared. Glasses slightly fogged. Lips parted like he’d forgotten how oxygen worked.
Lois nudged him. “Close your mouth, Smallville. You’re gonna catch flies.”
“I’m fine,” Clark said, definitely not fine.
“You’re blushing so hard, Smallville. She’s got you down bad.”
“Lois.”
Cat crossed her arms. “This is gonna be so entertaining.”
Jimmy led you to his desk, rambling nonstop — mostly to distract everyone from how completely wrecked Clark looked.
“You remember that bakery I told you about? Still gives me muffins. I think they legally adopted me. Also, my neighbor definitely thinks I’m FBI, which is fine, I’m not correcting her—”
You rolled your eyes affectionately. “God, you talk more when you’re panicking.”
“I am not — okay, yeah, I am,” he admitted. “But you wore that to a newspaper office.”
You waved vaguely. “You said it was casual.”
“This is not casual. This is… I don’t know, every man’s sexual fantasy come to life.”
“You say that like it’s a bad thing.”
Lois leaned back in her chair, sipping coffee. “She’s even better than I imagined.”
You turned and smiled. “You must be Lois.”
“That obvious?”
Jimmy gestured between you. “Lois Lane, my sister Y/n. Y/n, this is Lois Lane.”
You offered your hand. “Nice to meet you. I’ve heard… stories.”
Lois shook it. “All true.”
“Even the one with the stapler?”
“He unplugged my monitor.”
“Justified,” you said.
Then came Cat. “Cat Grant,” she said. “Resident taste-maker, HR’s worst nightmare.”
You grinned. “You’re the one with the killer shoe collection and the office playlist that makes Jimmy cry?”
Cat beamed. “I knew I liked her.”
Jimmy made a strangled noise. “Stop bonding with my coworkers!”
You turned, finally, to the one person you hadn’t met.
Clark Kent.
He stood up automatically. Tall. Nervous. Shoulders too broad for his sweater vest. That smile — not dazzling, not flashy, just real — hovering uncertainly on his lips.
“Hi,” he said, a little breathless. “I’m Clark. Clark Kent.”
You smiled — and something in your expression softened.
“I’m Y/n. Olsen. But I guess that’s… obvious.”
You shook hands.
Clark blinked.
You tilted your head. “You okay?”
He nodded too fast. “Yeah! Just, um. Processing.”
Jimmy groaned. “He’s a goner. He’s already gone.”
Cat leaned over to Lois. “He’s gonna write poetry about her, isn’t he?”
“Oh yeah,” Lois said. “Free verse. There’ll be metaphors.”
You didn’t let go of Clark’s hand right away. “You’re not what I pictured.”
“Oh?” he asked.
“Jimmy said you were kind of a nerd.”
Jimmy threw his arms in the air. “You weren’t supposed to say that part out loud!”
“Don’t worry,” you said. “It’s a compliment. I like nerds.”
You lingered near Jimmy’s desk, fingers idly looping around the strap of your bag as your eyes flicked around the Daily Planet bullpen. Phones were ringing. Someone was swearing at the copy machine. Lois was pacing with a folder tucked under her arm, eyebrows furrowed like she was mentally rewriting a headline. Cat Grant stood near the coffee station, turning her spoon like she was plotting either a column or a murder.
It was, you thought, a lot. But it suited Jimmy. The noise, the movement, the messy kind of brilliance in every corner. And truthfully? You liked it. It felt alive.
Clark, on the other hand, hadn’t moved much at all.
He stood beside his desk in a perfectly pressed gray suit, tailored just a bit too well for someone who still managed to look like he’d feel bad if he took the last cookie in the breakroom. One hand braced the back of his chair like he couldn’t decide if he should sit, stay standing, or jump out the window. The other hovered near his belt awkwardly, then slowly migrated to his tie like maybe it needed straightening. It didn’t.
He adjusted his glasses.
Paused.
Adjusted them again.
You looked at him again.
And smiled.
Not the dazzling, walk-into-the-room-and-own-it smile you’d used coming off the elevator. This one was smaller. Tilted. Intimate, almost. Like you were already in on the same joke, even if neither of you had told it yet.
Clark’s heart, which had already been on something of a joyride since you arrived, gave another wholly unnecessary lurch.
“Um…” he cleared his throat. “Do you… want to sit? I mean, not that you have to. Obviously. You’re probably just stopping by. Visiting. And I’m sure you’re fine. You look fine. Not that— I mean—”
Jimmy groaned. “Oh, man. He’s spiraling.”
You turned toward Clark fully, your mouth curving with something halfway between amusement and danger.
“Are you always this smooth?” you asked.
Clark gave a helpless little shrug. “Not intentionally.”
Then he sat down. Realized you were still standing. Shot back up.
His chair scraped loudly across the floor, making Cat flinch from across the bullpen.
Lois glanced over her shoulder, coffee halfway to her mouth. “Jesus, Kent. What are you doing, proposing?”
“Wouldn’t be the first time someone did,” Jimmy muttered, thinking of his college friend.
Clark rubbed the back of his neck. “Just trying not to be rude.”
You stepped forward, into his orbit, until he had to look down to meet your eyes. You tilted your head, gaze sweeping up the full length of him.
“You really are tall,” you said, eyes narrowing slightly like you were running the numbers.
Clark blinked. “I’ve… heard rumors.”
“I mean, I assumed Jimmy was exaggerating. He said you were like… polite skyscraper tall. I thought he was being dramatic.”
“I am never dramatic,” Jimmy muttered from his desk, which no one acknowledged.
“I feel like you could change the lightbulbs in my apartment without standing on anything.”
“Probably,” he admitted, cheeks going slightly pink. “Though I try not to flaunt it.”
“No, you should flaunt it. I mean…” Your eyes flicked over him again. “Statistically speaking, this is a very generous use of vertical space.”
Clark made a noise in his throat that might’ve been a laugh, might’ve been an internal scream.
You smiled again — soft this time, almost fond. And then, as if to really test the theory, you stepped forward until you were fully in his shadow. You tilted your head, eyes narrowed thoughtfully.
“I stand corrected,” you said, still studying Clark. “Do you always wear suits this well, or is that a Tuesday-only kind of deal?”
Clark blinked again. “I—I don’t know. It’s just work.”
“Well,” you said, smile deepening. “You’re really out here making cardigans look like a missed opportunity.”
Cat, nearby, nearly choked on her coffee.
Lois, still observing with the detached joy of a spectator at the zoo, raised a brow. “How are you doing, Smallville?”
Clark didn’t answer.
Because you stepped even closer. He could feel the edge of your dress brush against his pant leg — soft, light, and completely ruining his ability to form full thoughts.
You tilted your head back to meet his eyes again.
Even in your heels, you barely made it to the middle of his chest.
“I get the feeling you duck through a lot of doorways,” you murmured.
“Historic ones,” Clark said, trying not to smile. “Or Perry’s. He refuses to raise the frame.”
“Do strangers ask you to reach things in stores?”
“Almost daily. Someone once handed me their toddler like I was a cherry-picker.”
You laughed, and it was warm and breathy and real. “Do you accept bribes for shelf assistance?”
“I take muffins. And the occasional heartfelt thank you.”
“Duly noted.”
Behind you, Jimmy groaned again. “I swear, if you two start writing poetry to each other in the middle of the newsroom, I’m transferring."
“You wouldn’t survive at the Gotham Gazette,” Lois said.
“I definitely wouldn’t,” Jimmy admitted.
Clark looked back at you. You hadn’t moved away.
Neither had he.
“You’ve got a good thing here,” you said, glancing around. “It’s loud, but smart. Has that weird mix of chaos and community?”
“It’s basically a co-dependent newsroom family with aggressive deadlines,” Clark said.
“And a lot of caffeine,” Lois added.
“And someone crying near the elevator every other Wednesday,” Cat muttered, eyes still on you like she was sizing you up for a feature piece titled The Woman Who Made Kent Forget English.
You smiled again, looking back at Clark. “So. Lunch?”
Clark blinked. “What?”
“I’m assuming you were about to invite me somewhere. Or were you planning to just keep towering over me and talking about lightbulbs?”
Clark cleared his throat again. “I was… yeah. I was going to ask. I mean — I am asking. I was headed out for lunch. There’s this place — quiet, kind of tucked away. They have this lemon tart. Or maybe it’s lime. It’s… citrusy. Which doesn’t sound impressive, but—”
“Clark,” you interrupted gently, eyes sparkling.
“Yes?”
“Are you asking me out?”
He opened his mouth. Closed it.
Then gave a tiny nod. “Yes. I think I am.”
There was a beat.
“You’re really bad at this,” you said, softly.
Clark looked down at himself — his pristine suit, the pressed line of his pants, his shiny shoes — and then back up at you. “I know.”
“I like it,” you added, voice low.
He swallowed, nerves making everything in him tense just a little.
“You’re very…” he started, then hesitated, mouth twisting as he searched for something accurate but not too much.
You waited.
“…effective,” he said at last, a little helplessly.
You blinked. “Effective?”
“In the sense that I lost all coordination for like twenty minutes. And probably half my vocabulary.”
That did it.
You laughed — loud and delighted and completely unfiltered. It made Lois smile. Cat smirk. And Jimmy sigh like his soul was leaving his body.
You reached out and touched Clark’s arm lightly, steadying yourself. “God, you’re cute.”
Clark’s mouth opened, no words came out.
You stepped back, finally remembering the world around you. Your eyes flicked to Jimmy, who was slumped over his desk in defeat.
“Oh,” you said, suddenly wincing. “Right. Sorry, Jumbo.”
“Don’t call me that in front of witnesses.”
You ignored that. “I got a little distracted.”
“You think?”
You grinned at your brother, then reached over and nudged his shoulder. “But hey… that thing I came to tell you, when I originally came here to spend time with you?”
Jimmy sat up slowly, suspicious. “The layover?”
“Not a layover.”
He frowned. “What?”
“I’m moving here,” you said simply. “To Metropolis.”
A beat of stunned silence.
“What?” Jimmy squawked.
You just smiled sweetly. “I found a place. Signed the lease yesterday. I figured if you were gonna keep making me sound like Bigfoot, I might as well haunt the city myself.”
Clark blinked. “Wait, you’re moving here?”
“Yup,” you said, popping the ‘p’. Then you turned back to Clark with a shrug. “Guess that makes this lunch slightly less ‘last chance’ and slightly more ‘welcome to the beginning.’”
Cat nearly dropped her coffee.
Jimmy looked like he’d just witnessed a robbery.
And Clark, adjusting his glasses one last time, managed a small, stunned smile. “That’s… effective.”
You laughed again and nodded toward the door. “Lead the way, Kent.”
He held it open for you — ducking slightly to clear the frame — and followed you out into the city.
Jimmy stared after you both, slack-jawed.
Lois took a sip of her coffee, her voice dry. “Your sister just moved to Metropolis and stole your newsroom.”
Cat grinned. “Honestly? Iconic.”
Jimmy groaned, head dropping back to the desk. “I hate everyone.”
Lois patted his shoulder. “You’ll get used to it. We all did.”

The Misus said so | T. Owens
Tumblr media
Tyler Owens x wife!reader
A/N: so I’m obsessed with Glen Powell and of course I had to do a little something with Tyler Owens because Glen looked so good in that movie. Hope you enjoy!
SUMMARY : After chasing a tornado, Tyler suggests the team take a break in his hometown—a place none of them have ever visited, except Boone. To their surprise, they discover that Tyler shares his home with a pregnant woman he refers to as his wife and a young boy he calls his son.
WARNINGS : fluff, Tyler being head over heels for his wife, cuteness, some inaccuracies regarding tornadoes
3.4k words
The sun was just beginning to set as the red truck and van rumbled down the dusty back roads of the Arkansas countryside. Tyler Owens was behind the wheel, relaxed but focused, his hands steady as he navigated the familiar terrain. In the passenger seat, Boone sat with an easy grin, the kind only a best friend could wear, fully at home in the quiet camaraderie of the ride. He occasionally glanced at Tyler, clearly anticipating something more than just a pit stop.
In the back seat, Lily was hunched over her tablet, reviewing footage from Cairo, her drone. “The inflow jets were insane,” she murmured. Boone snorted, swivelling to glance at her.
Boon leaning towards Tyler with a raised eyebrow whispered so only Tyler could hear him. “So, when are you gonna drop the act? I know where we’re headed.”
Tyler chuckled, but his eyes stayed on the road. “Guess it was hard to slip one past you, huh?”
“You think?” Boone replied with a smirk. “What gave it away—oh, I don’t know, maybe the fact that I’m Jake’s godfather?”
Tyler shushed him, not wanting Boone to spoil the surprise. Of course Boone knew about your existence and of your son. Boone had been Tyler’s best friend for years, even before they started YouTube. He had been there when you guys met, started a relationship, got married, had your son and the last time he was there was for your gender reveal.
Lily leaned forward and turned toward Tyler, a crooked grin plastered across her face. “Alright, Ty, spill it. Where the hell are we going? You’ve been suspiciously quiet since we left the highway. And now you’ve got Boone whispering stuff into your ear. When has he ever been this quiet?”
Tyler chuckled but kept his eyes on the road. “Relax, lily. I told you, we’re heading to my hometown. Figured we could all use a real bed and a home-cooked meal for a change. Motel breakfasts are starting to taste like cardboard.”
Dani, who talked from the radio given that she was behind in the Van, raised an eyebrow. “Your hometown? Tyler you’ve only ever talked about it once, what is there to do here really? Is there some sort of catch?”
“No catch,” Tyler replied smoothly. “Just thought you guys deserve something better. And I figured it’s finally time you meet someone really important to me.”
The rest of the team stayed curious and said nothing more. They trusted Tyler—he had proven himself time and again in the chaos of the storm-chasing world. If he said they were in for a treat, they believed him.
After another twenty minutes of winding roads and open fields, Tyler turned onto a long gravel driveway lined with vibrant green grass. The farmhouse at the end of the drive came into view, its white paint glowing softly in the golden light of the setting sun. Animals roamed nearby, adding life to the picturesque scene.
The team climbed out of the Truck and Van, stretching their legs and taking in their surroundings. The farmhouse was surrounded by rolling fields, with a red barn off to one side and a small garden near the porch. The air was warm and smelled faintly of wildflowers and fresh hay. There was a small lake in front of the farmhouse surrounded by fences.
“Wow,” said Dexter, the least chaotic team member. “It’s… peaceful.”
“Yeah,” Tyler said softly, his voice carrying a hint of nostalgia. “It is. Home sweet home,” Tyler said as he approached the house more.
Boone followed his pace, grinning. “Ah, the Owens family ranch. Been too long since I’ve been here.”
“You’ve been here before?” Lily asked, surprised.
“Sure have,” Boone replied. “I’m practically family.”
The front door creaked open, and you stepped onto the porch, wearing a white top stretched slightly over your rounded belly and a pair of jeans. Tyler’s cowboy hat sat snugly on your head, the one he hadn’t worn in years. Your face lit up the moment you saw him, a smile breaking across your lips.
“There’s my troublemaker,” you said warmly, your accent as sweet as honey.
Tyler’s grin widened as he climbed the steps, pulling you into a gentle hug careful not to press too hard against your belly. “Hey, darlin’. You look beautiful.”
Boone didn’t hesitate. “Y/N! Look at you, glowing as always. How’s my niece?,” he said, bounding up the steps to greet you. He hugged you warmly, then ruffled your hair affectionately. “And still stealing hats, I see.”
You laughed. “Good to see you too, Boone. Baby’s fine. And yes, it’s mine now.” You turned back to your husband and hugged him once again. The hug felt like home. After days worrying for your husband he was finally back home and in your arms.
The team hung back awkwardly, unsure of what to do. Dexter was the first to break the silence. “Uh, hi. I’m so confused right now.”
You laughed loudly, your eyes twinkling. You knew the team must be confused, as Tyler had never spoken about you unless it was with Boone. “Y’all must be Tyler’s team. I’m Y/N. The wife.”
Upon the reveal, the team let their mouths hang open in shock. They never imagined Tyler out of all people would be married with a kid on the way. He was always the reckless one, the first to jump into danger. Nobody ever really thought about him potentially having a family, with the way he was. They also didn't expect Boone to have known and let this a secret for so long. That man can never shut his mouth.
Tyler turned back to his team, gesturing for them to come closer. “Everyone, this is Y/N—my wife. Y/N, meet the crew: Boone you already know, This is Dexter, Dani, and Lily.”
You smiled warmly and waved them inside. “Y’all must be starving. Tyler called ahead, so I made enough food to feed an army. Come on in and make yourselves at home.”
As the group filed into the house, Lily glanced at Tyler, her eyes wide with surprise. “You’re married? And… you’re going to be a dad?”
Tyler grinned sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck. “Yeah, I guess I never mentioned that, huh? Meet the real reason I get back in one piece after every chase.”
The house was cosy, filled with the comforting smells of roast chicken, fresh bread, and apple pie. The dining table was already set, you had clearly gone out of your way to make the team feel welcome.
“This is incredible,” Lily said, taking a seat at the table. “You really didn’t have to go all out for us.”
You waved her off with a laugh. “Oh, please. Tyler told me how hard you’ve all been working. Besides, I saw the live stream of that last tornado. Y’all are insane, by the way. I thought I’d reward your bravery or, well, craziness with a good meal.”
Boone leaned back in his chair, grinning, finally happy to be home. “It’s both, Y/N. And that tornado was a beauty, wasn’t it?”
“Did you see the way the funnel shifted when it hit that open field? Classic EF-3 behaviour.” Tyler suddenly asked as he turned to you. You smiled at the excitement in your husband's voice, nodding towards him. Despite dropping out and never finishing his career in meteorology he was quite well educated in the field of tornadoes.
Dexter nodded, his voice animated. “And the inflow jets—did you catch those? Perfect conditions for a multi-vortex system.”
You chuckled as you started serving the food. “I don’t understand half of what you’re saying, but I could tell y’all were thrilled. It was like watching kids on Christmas morning.”
As the conversation flowed between all of you, a soft noise interrupted. From the staircase next to the dining room came the sound of small, hesitant footsteps.
Everyone turned to see a little boy, about three years old, standing at the bottom of the stairs. He was rubbing his sleepy eyes with one hand, clutching a worn stuffed bear in the other. His curls were tousled from sleep, and he blinked at the group with a mixture of curiosity and shyness.
“Daddy?” the boy said softly, his voice thick with sleep.
Tyler’s expression melted. “Hey, bud,” he said, getting up from his chair. He crossed the room in a few strides and knelt down to scoop the boy into his arms. “What are you doing up? Thought your momma put you to sleep for the afternoon.”
The boy rested his head on Tyler’s shoulder and mumbled, “I Had a dream.”
Tyler kissed the top of his son’s head and held him close. “It’s okay, buddy. Daddy 's here.”
Boone chuckled, leaning back in his chair at the sight of the small kid. “There 's my boy. Come here, kiddo.”
Jake squirmed out of Tyler’s arms and ran to Boone, climbing onto his lap. Boone greeted him with a fist bump. “What’d I tell you about staying up past your bedtime, huh?”
Jake giggled. “Uncle Boone!”
The rest of the team stared, dumbfounded. Dani finally blurted out, “Wait you knew about this?!”
Boone shrugged. “Of course. I’m his godfather and uncle. Perks of being Tyler’s actual best friend.”
“Everyone,” Tyler said, turning back to the group, “this is Jake, our little man.”
Jake lifted his head from Boone's shoulder and looked at the team, his big brown eyes scanning the unfamiliar faces. “Hi,” he said shyly.
Lily smiled warmly. “Hi, Jake. I’m Lily. It’s nice to meet you.”
You walked over and gently ruffled your son's curls. “Jake, these are Daddy’s other friends. They’re going to stay with us tonight.”
Jake’s face lit up. “Really?”
“Yep,” Tyler said, bouncing him lightly. “And you know what? I think they might even make pretty good aunts and uncles, don’t you?”
Jake giggled, his earlier sleepiness forgotten. “Yeah! Now I have more people to play with!”
“That’s right buddy.” Boone smiled, hugging the kid one last time before he jumped out of his lap and went back to his fathers embrace.
The meal progressed with a light-hearted warmth that settled over everyone like a blanket. Boone and Dexter were animatedly recounting their most chaotic storm-chasing moments, while Dani and Lily chimed in with their own tales. Jake sat on Tyler’s lap, happily munching on a slice of buttered bread, his small hands gripping the edges of the plate to keep it steady.
You observed the scene with a soft smile, your hand resting on your growing belly. Tyler caught your gaze as he let his free hand rest on top of the one holding your belly. He smiled down at you. He was happy to be home.
“You’ve done good, sweetheart,” he said, his voice low but full of admiration.
She tilted her head, her smile widening. “Couldn’t have done it without you, Ty.”
The team exchanged subtle glances, sensing the affection radiating between the two. Lily, unable to resist, leaned over to you. “You two are adorable. What’s your secret?”
That caused a laugh out of you. “Oh, it’s no secret. Just a lot of patience and knowing when to call him out on his nonsense.” You shot Tyler a teasing look, and he feigned innocence.
“Hey now,” Tyler said, grinning. “I’m a perfect angel.”
Jake looked up from his plate, his face lighting up with a mischievous grin. “Daddy’s silly!”
The table erupted into laughter, and Tyler tickled Jake’s sides, eliciting a burst of giggles from the little boy. “Come on Bug, eat all your food. Don’t want you to be hungry later.” You looked at your son as you gently grabbed his bread and gave it to him. Gently caressing his forehead and kissing his cheek lovingly. All while Tyler stared at you with adoration in his eyes.
As the evening wore on, You excused yourself briefly to check on the dessert. Tyler took the opportunity to follow you into the kitchen, leaving Jake to sit back on Boone lap and be entertained by the team.
The kitchen was warm and cosy, filled with the comforting aroma of apples and cinnamon as you carefully pulled the steaming pie from the oven. You moved with practiced ease, placing it on a cooling rack, when suddenly you felt a familiar presence behind you.
“Now, what do I have to do to get my hands on a slice of that?” Tyler’s voice was low and teasing, the grin audible in his tone.
You smirked, not bothering to turn around. “Depends. Are you talking about the pie or me?”
Tyler laughed softly and stepped closer, slipping his arms around your waist, his front pressed against your back. “Both, but let’s start with you.” He leaned in, brushing his lips along the curve of your neck.
“Ty,” you said, your voice half a warning, half a giggle. “We have company, remember? We don’t want Boone to catch us again do we?”
“They’re busy stuffing their faces and trying to keep Jake from giving Boone another black eye,” he murmured, his lips trailing to your ear. “Besides, I don’t get moments like this nearly enough.”
You sighed, leaning back into his embrace. “You’re impossible, you know that?”
“And you’re gorgeous,” he countered without missing a beat, his hands sliding up to rest gently over your growing belly. “And carrying my baby girl? That makes you even more irresistible.”
You carefully turned in his arms, bow facing each other as you rested your hands on his chest. “You’ve got a silver tongue, Mr. Owens. Has it ever gotten you into trouble?”
He grinned, his hazel eyes sparkling. “Only when I’m not careful. Lucky for me, I married a woman who keeps me in line.”
You laughed, shaking your head. “You’re not so cocky now, are you?”
“Only with you,” he said, leaning down until your foreheads touched. “Well, and maybe with Jake when he gives me that little puppy-dog look. Kid’s got my heart wrapped around his finger. Can never say no to him.”
You laughed softly, holding his figure even more, not wanting to let go. You leaned your head on his chest, looking sideways outside the window to the sun that illuminated your home.
“You’re incredible, you know that?” he murmured as his chin rested upon your head.
“And you’re a shameless flirt.”
“Guilty,” he admitted, pressing a soft kiss to your temple. “But seriously, I just wanted to thank you for this. For all of it. I know it’s not easy having me running around the country chasing storms.”
You turned in his arms, eyes meeting his. “Ty, I knew what I was signing up for when I married you. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Besides, you always come back to us. That’s what matters.”
His expression softened, and he placed a hand gently on your belly again. “And soon, there’s going to be even more reason to keep coming back.”
You placed your hand over his, your smile tender. “She’s going to love you just as much as Jake does. Maybe even more if she inherits your stubbornness.”
He chuckled. “Let’s hope she gets your patience instead.”.
Your expression softened as you traced a finger along his jawline. “You’re a good dad, Tyler. I see it every day in how Jake lights up around you. And I know you’re going to be just as amazing with our daughter.”
He kissed you softly, a lingering tenderness in the way he held you close. “That’s the plan, sweetheart. Keep coming back to you, Jake, and this little one. Always.”
The moment was interrupted by a loud crash from the dining room.
“Jake!” Boone’s voice carried through the house. “Why am I always the bad guy?”
“It wasn’t me!” Jake shouted back, his voice ringing with childlike defiance.
You groaned, pulling away with a reluctant smile. “Guess I’d better rescue Boone before Jake recruits the others against him.”
Tyler laughed, giving you a playful smack on the ass as you walked away. “Don’t take too long, baby. I’m still waiting on that pie—and you.”
You threw him a teasing look over her shoulder. “Behave, Ty.”
When you stepped back into the dining room, Jake was perched on Dexter’s lap, gleefully recounting how Boone had “knocked the chair over all by himself.” Boone stood nearby, arms crossed and feigning offence.
“For the record,” Boone declared, “this kid’s already mastered the fine art of scapegoating.”
“I learned it from Daddy!” Jake said with a giggle, earning a roar of laughter from the table.
You sighed, shaking your head as you started slicing the pie. “I see Jake’s picking up all your best habits, Ty.”
Tyler grinned shamelessly, taking a seat next to you. “Can’t blame the kid for wanting to be like his old man.” He reached over to ruffle Jake’s curls, then turned to you. “But if you want to keep us in line, you’d better bring that pie over here before we all riot.”
You rolled your eyes, setting the pie on the table with a grin. “You’re lucky I love you, Tyler Owens.”
He leaned back in his chair, giving you a wink. “Lucky’s an understatement, baby. I hit the jackpot.”
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
As the last bite of pie was finished and the laughter around the table quieted, you leaned back in your chair, feeling satisfied but a little tired. Tyler’s gaze met yours across the table, his expression softening with concern as he stood up, stretching his back.
“We need to clean up.” You muttered under your breath, ready to stand up until Tyler pushed you gently back down to sit.
“Alright, everyone,” Tyler said, his voice carrying the gentle authority that always seemed to get things done. “You’ve all eaten, now it’s time to let my wife take a break. She’s been working hard today.”
Jake, who had been leaning back in his chair, looked confused. “Why do we need to clean up?”
“Because the Missus said so,” Tyler interrupted with a wink, his playful grin lighting up his face. “And trust me, when the Missus speaks, everyone listens.”
You couldn’t help but smile at the playful banter between them, but you appreciated how Tyler always made sure you weren’t overburdened. It was his way of showing care, in everything from big gestures to little moments like this.
One by one, the team began to rise from the table, and soon enough, the dishes were being cleared away. Boone and Dexter were the first to take charge of the plates, laughing as they competed to see who could load the dishwasher faster. Lily helped wipe down the table, while Jake, who still looked a little reluctant, finally took the trash bag outside with Boone’s encouragement.
It didn’t take long before the kitchen was tidied up, and the team filed out to check on the horses. You watched them from the window as they made their way to the stables, chatting with Jake in tow, all smiles and laughter. You felt a contentment settle over you, watching the scene from your peaceful spot inside.
Tyler, noticing that you hadn’t moved from your seat, stepped toward you and held out his hand. “You need a break, too,” he said softly, as if reading your thoughts. “Come on, let’s get some fresh air.”
You stood, taking his hand, and together you walked outside to the front porch. The soft evening light bathed the world in golden hues as you made your way to the rocking chair. Tyler sat first, patting the seat next to him, and you sank into the chair beside him, leaning back with a sigh of relief.
Tyler settled beside you, his hand resting gently on your baby bump. His thumb traced slow circles, a tender gesture that made your heart swell. You closed your eyes for a moment, letting the gentle rocking of the chair soothe your tired muscles. The sound of the team’s voices echoed from the stables, a distant hum of joy and energy, but it felt far away from the calm you found in this quiet moment.
You rested your head on Tyler’s shoulder, your fingers resting over his hand on your belly. “Tired?” He asked you, noticing your calmness and weight on his shoulder.
“No. I’m just thinking about how much I missed you.”
He kissed the top of your head, wrapping his arm tighter around you. “Missed you more. And I mean it, Y/N. Everything we’ve built here… it’s the reason I keep going. The reason I come back.”
Your eyes glistened as you looked up at him. “You’re the reason this feels like home, Ty.”
He smiled, tilting your chin up so he could kiss you again, slow and sweet. “Then I guess we’re even, Baby.”

Texts between Matt and Nick
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Real life
Nick and Matt had been super attentive to y/n and Chris for the past week. They noted that whenever y/n spoke about another guy, Chris would tense up but pretended he didn’t and tease y/n about the guy.
But Nick and Matt knew better. Chris would often go rigid at the mention of another man whenever y/n spoke to him. He was very jealous of the fact that she was talking to someone else, however he simply disregarded his jealousy as a fear of losing his best friend. But that was far from the truth, he was in love with his best friend, yes the didn’t want to admit it or else everything would get ruined.
That’s why Nick and Matt came up with a clever plan that would most likely reveal Chris’s true feelings towards a certain curly haired girl. Nick had gone off earlier to the grocery store to buy a bouquet of flowers. He would later ask Matt to write down a fake card that would say a certain admirer gifted the flowers to y/n.
When the time came, Chris and y/n were cuddling on the couch of the living room watching a movie after finishing a live stream earlier that day. Nick had pretended to go out with some of his friend when in reality he was outside the house door with the bouquet on his hands. Nick rang the doorbell and rushed out of the way and hid.
“I’ll get it!” Matt shouted from the kitchen, knowing Chris wouldn’t move from his comfortable place next to y/n. He opened the door and greeted Nick silently before picking up the bouquet. “Uh…y/n/n?”
“Yes?” She shouted from her spot in the living room. Matt had made his way up the stairs and into the living room with the bouquet of flowers. “I think these are for you.” He handed the flowers to the girl, who thanked him and looked at the card attached to the bouquet.
Chris once he saw the flowers perked up in his seat, easing his eyebrows in confusion and what looked like to be annoyance. Matt snickered at his brothers face before making his way to his room. “Who are the flowers from?” Chris asked.
Y/n smiled, shrugging her shoulders. “I don’t know, it says it’s from a secret admirer.” Her smile brightened, but Chris’s face darkened. Y/n took note of his expression and frowned. “What’s wrong?”
“Oh nothing, just the fact that you have a fucking secret admirer.”
“What’s wrong with that?” The girl asked.
“Oh I don’t know, maybe the fact that he knows where we fucking live?” Chris shouted in anger.
Chris's outburst left y/n stunned, her heart pounding in her chest. She had never seen him this upset before. The room seemed to close in around them, the tension thick and suffocating.
“Why are you so angry?” y/n asked softly, her voice layered with confusion and sadness, just a bit. “It’s just flowers…”
Chris ran a hand through his hair, standing up from his spot next to y/n, pushing her off and pacing the room like a caged animal. He knew he was overreacting, but the thought of someone else fighting for her attention, someone else possibly stealing her away, was driving him mad. He stopped abruptly, facing her, his eyes blazing with a mix of frustration and something deeper.
“It’s not just the flowers, y/n,” he said, his voice lower now, almost pleading. “It’s… it’s everything.”
“What do you mean, Chris?” Y/n stood up now to face the anxious boy.
It was all too much, and before Chris knew it he blurted out his thoughts. “The thought of you with someone else, the thought that you might care about someone else the way I—” He cut himself off, biting his lip, but the words were already out there, hanging in the air between them.
“The way you what?” y/n asked, her heart skipping a beat. She stood straight for a minute before taking a hesitant step toward him.
Chris looked at her, his eyes softening as he realized there was no turning back now. “The way I care about you,” he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper. “The way I love you, y/n.”
Her breath caught in her throat as the weight of his words sank in. “Chris… you… you love me?”
He nodded, his gaze intense but vulnerable. “Yeah, I do. I’ve been in love with you for so long, but I was scared. Scared of ruining our friendship, scared that you wouldn’t feel the same way. But I can’t keep it to myself anymore.”
y/n took another step closer, her eyes never leaving his. “You idiot,” she murmured, a soft smile playing on her lips. “You really think I’d be spending all this time with you, cuddling with you, if I didn’t feel the same way?”
Chris blinked, processing her words. “Wait… you…?”
“Yes, Chris,” she said, her smile widening. “I love you too.”
Before he could fully comprehend what was happening, y/n closed the distance between them, her hands gently cupping his face as she leaned in and kissed him. The kiss was soft and tentative at first, but then Chris responded, his arms wrapping around her waist, pulling her closer. The kiss deepened, filled with all the unspoken emotions they had both been holding back for so long.
When they finally pulled away, both of them were breathless, their foreheads resting against each other’s.
“So,” y/n whispered with a playful smile, “still jealous of my secret admirer?”
Chris chuckled, shaking his head followed by his loud laughter.

Percy Jackson hit series star Walker Scobell was spotted at Disney with his cast members and holding hands while hugging with a mysterious girl. Sources say it might be Y/N Christensen, Hayden Christensen daughter. This new speculation came out shortly after Y/N posted on her Instagram story a picture of two shadows, her and supposedly Walker, holding hands. The story was deleted a few seconds after being posted.

Omg please do an angsty imagine where we are the daughter of some god (maybe Zeus or hades) and find out about Luke’s betrayal and he tries to recruit us but it only ends in arguments
Betrayals embrace - Luke Castellan
pov - Luke Castellan was the lightning thief all along and you the clueless girlfriend who never knew better.
Pairing : Luke Castellan !femoc x Zeus daughter
Tumblr media
In the heart of Camp Half-Blood, under the watchful eyes of the gods, a storm brewed within the soul of y/n, daughter of Zeus. Her relationship with Luke Castellan, once filled with laughter and affection, now teetered on the edge of betrayal and heartbreak.
Y/n stood, tears in her eyes as she stared into the eyes of her lover, eyes that now held the truth of his actions and the haunting revelation that had shattered her world—Luke's treacherous plan to free Kronos and destroy the very gods they were supposed to honor and serve.
More tears pricked at her eyes as she recalled the countless moments they shared, the promises of a future together, now tainted by lies and deceit. She clenched her fists, feeling the crackle of electricity surging through her veins, a reminder of her divine heritage and the weight of responsibility that came with it.
She had trusted him, loved him dearly and all she got in return was the inexorable betrayal that had shattered her heart.
"Y/n," he whispered, his voice smooth like honey,a certain nervousness hanged in his tone. In the 10 minutes they had been in the forest, y/n stayed silent through it all. Not knowing what to say or do after Luke admitted to his actions.
That he tried to drag Percy into the pits of Tartarus. That he had lied about it all.
"Luke," she replied, her tone laced with bitterness and hurt.
Luke stepped forward, his eyes searching hers for any sign of wavering resolve. "I know this is difficult for you to understand, but we can change the world. We can free ourselves from the tyranny of the gods, create a new order where demigods are no longer pawns in their games. We can be free, you can kill your father after all the pain he’s caused."
Y/n shook her head, a humorless laugh escaping her lips. "And what of the innocent lives that will be lost in the wake of your ambition? Have you no conscience, Luke? Do you realize that if you go forward with this, you’ll lose your family here. You’ll lose me.”
His expression hardened, a flicker of anger betraying his calm facade. "You were always too soft, y/n. Too blinded by your loyalty to those who have treated you as nothing more than a pawn in their own schemes. Why do you defend him? After he killed your sister! After he killed Thalia. He could’ve stopped it.”
He reached out to her, his touch a cruel mockery of the affection they once shared. "Y/N, please understand. This is our chance to make things right, to rid ourselves of the gods who have only brought us pain and suffering."
But even as he spoke, the truth of his betrayal cut deeper than any blade. Y/N recoiled from his touch, her eyes filled with tears she refused to shed.
She backed up at his words, the sting of truth laced with venom. Memories of Zeus's indifference and neglect flooded her mind, a painful reminder of the fractured relationship she shared with her divine father. She was transported back in time when she had arrived at camp for the first time. A reminder of the sister she lost, the sister who sacrificed herself for her sisters.
A painful reminder that no matter what, the gods will never care enough to save their children. If they did, things would be a lot different.
But even in the face of betrayal, y/n couldn't bring herself to abandon her friends at Camp Half-Blood, the only family she had ever known.
"I may be the daughter of Zeus, but I am also a daughter of Camp Half-Blood," she declared, her voice trembling with emotion. "I will never betray them, Luke. I understand you better than anyone, I really do. But I can’t do that to them. I can’t, and you know that. "
Luke looked shattered, he would have thought that the girl would side with him. After all she was the one who understood him the most, understood his reason. “I didn’t wanna have to do this, y/n, I’m sorry. You have given me no choice.”
“We always have a choice.” Without warning, Luke lunged forward, his movements fueled by desperation and rage. Their clash was fierce and unrelenting, the crackle of lightning mingling with the clash of celestial bronze. Each blow exchanged was a testament to the shattered bonds of trust and love that once bound them together.
Luke’s attack got harder and harder, as their swords smacked together in the night. The fireworks covering the sound of the lovers fighting each other.
“Luke! You don’t have to do this!” Y/n struggled against his attacks. She didn’t want to hurt him, but Luke was so blinded by rage that he couldn’t seem to care that he was hurting her.
“Luke!” This time the screaming had come from another voice. Percy and Annabeth were running towards the scene.
In a moment of distraction when y/n turns her gaze towards the two teenagers, she feels pain in her abdomen. She glanced down, Luke’s sword had stabbed her in her stomach. She gasped softly, tears forming in her eyes as she held onto the sword that was still pierced in her flesh.
“Y/N!” Percy and annabeth screamed her name but her focus was stuck on the man that had betrayed her
Red was gushing from her wounds into her hands that were now touching Luke’s. The boys eyes widened. What had he done? The girl dropped to the ground, blood running everywhere. Her shirt was now tainted red, as well as her hands and her lovers hand.
In the end, it was y/n who lay battered and broken at his feet, her resolve unbroken even as her body screamed in protest. Through tear-stained eyes, she watched as Luke cradled her frame. Regret and sadness reflected in his eyes.
“Y/N..” he whispers softly, he gripped her body tighter. Not wanting to let go of the woman he loved. “I’m sorry. Im so sorry. I never meant to hurt you.”
Percy and Annabeth after standing still watching the scene with tears in their eyes finally approached the couple. Swords in their hands.
Luke glanced at the couple, then back to the bleeding girl. “I’m sorry.”
With a heavy heart, he turned away, leaving her broken and bleeding in his wake. Percy and Annabeth running to her aid.
As darkness threatened to claim her, y/n whispered her final words into the cold embrace of the night. "I love you, Luke."
---
When she awoke, it was to the sterile scent of antiseptic and the gentle touch of familiar hands. Percy Jackson and Annabeth stood at her bedside, their expression a mask of concern and sorrow.
"You're going to be okay, Y/N," Percy reassured her, his voice a soothing balm against the ache in her heart.
But the pain of loss was a wound that ran deep, one that no amount of time or healing could ever hope to mend. With a broken sob, Y/N buried her face in the boys shoulder, mourning the loss of the love she had once held so dear.
And as the tears fell like rain, she couldn't help but wonder if somewhere, amidst the echoes of betrayal, there was still a glimmer of the boy she had loved, lost, and ultimately, forgiven.
