Under the lemon tree

Finaallyyyyyyyy!! I've had the concept sketch for this done since February. February!! What is even time. What has even been this year. Eww.

But onto the drawing! Murilnair because I love them very very much ❤ This is set post-canon, after Alnair's moved to the forest with Muriel, aaand after a while they planted a lemon tree (because Muri's fav fruit) and some dandelions under it (because of Alnair's fav flower) near the hut :3 So yeah, just them chilling because I love them. The background could've kind of been better, but well, I forgot references for backgrounds exist and backgrounds are still the bane of my existence, BUT I'm actually happy with how the lighting came out! (and yeah, I'm aware it could also probably be better because I also don't know anyhting about lighting but who cares). And I'm also happy with the cuties themselves >w< For them I did remember to use a reference! @AdorkaStock models Starlight and Nova have the perfect height difference for these two and are super cute together so it was obvious that I had to.

Oooonto other news! I'm still struggling with my health and it's not funny, and also wtf is a schedule, so I don't know how often I'l be able to post. BUT!! That doesn't mean I'm dead!! Also, also. When I do post, I might post stuff other than from the Arcana. I'm still very much in the fandom and will continue to draw stuff for it (like, I have a looong to-draw list of ideas), but whereas the last year and a half 90% of my art was Arcana related, I might start to add some variety from now on. Really obsessed with Pokemon Reborn (can't wait to introduce my OCs properly to y'all!), and The Mechanisms' 'Once Upon a Time (In Space)' right now. So maybe check those out if you wanna be more familiar with what I might start posting next? It's fun stuff to check out while you wait for me to appear again xD

Fiiinaaallyyyyy!! It is finally here!! It took over 4 months to finish this but at long last it is done TwT

Listen, it is NOT my fault that there are canonically so many goddamn outfits, most of them are not my own thing but actually mentioned in game. And to think I should do this with Atlas and Shell too OTL Well, another time xD

Disclaimer that I may make some slight changes to the colours and details/patterns on some outfits, but I won’t be updating this everytime because it was tiring enough to do this once. SO, you can treat this more as a general guide than a strict rulebook.

Also, also. The asterisk (*) on the formal outfit is there because this is the post-game formal outfit, not the one Nadia makes for MC in-game (that one I didn’t bother to design because Alnair only wears it for a few days at all. If I ever want to add some extra designs I will put it there, but otherwise I tought it was unnecessary for now).

Now, some details not specified in the drawings! 1)Alnair may wear the necklace and bracelets on the casual outfit, but not necessarily, with other outfits too (specially comfy). 2)The pin holding her cloak closed (half obscured by her hair, oops) is shaped like a star. 3)The moon and sun on the top of her Devil outfit ARE the same of her necklace (a token of her humanity). Aaaand 4)The pattern on the top of her Masquerade outfit is actually meant to represent that it’s shiny

Hey everyone!! Sorry that I've been inactive the past few months, buuuut you know how it is (health, summer, artblock… that kinda stuff)

Also, I'm actually spending a few weeks at my sis' at the moment (and so away from my computer and stuff). But worry not! I brought my tablet with me and I might actually be able to start working on art again!! :D I feel rusty as hell tho, so expect some slow going still xD

Apprentice Adrian (gift)

As promised, here's a gift for _pinecone.doodles for participating on my 100 followers on Insta contest. Better late than never xD

This is their apprentice for the Arcana, Adrian. This was supposed to be a doodle initially, buuut I decided to do a chest-up sketch instead... and colour it digitally... and add one of the Arcana backgrounds so it looks more intersting... you know, just trying to make up for the wait (like it's been, what? Two months? Gosh I'm so sorry, but you know, health getting in the way and whatnot, I sadly don't control that).

Aaaanyway! This is the last piece for the contest I had left to do, so that means I will now go back to my own apprentices for a while xD My posting frequency will be very much a surprise, since how I feel greatly varies from one day to another (please let me have a diagnosis and guidelines on how to manage the condition soon), and I feel like not only my joints are fucked u but also my ability to focus (... even more than the usual, I mean, which was hard to achieve on the first place, lol), so yeah. Just please be patient with me while I figure stuff out.

Vesuvia Pride

Yasss!! I managed to finish this in time!! 🤩🤩🤩

My lovelies Alnair and Muriel celebrating pride ❤️ Both Muriel and Alnair are bi, Alnair is also nonbinary, and I personally headcanon Muriel as demi in addition to him being canonically bi.

I dread drawing backgrounds, and also I'm not in my best shape right now, so I shamelessly used one of the Arcana's backgrounds for this instead xD Also, alsoo, I gave both Muriel and Alnair more modern clothes because I felt it went better together with the vibe, aaand Muriel's hairstyle here is what I headcanon him having it like post-game (Alnair braided it like that for him once and he decided to keep it).

Also I swear I didn't push myself to finish this in time, so I hope I won't get any hand pain, buuut I did break my own rule of 'no drawing for more than an hour in a row while my joints are so sensitive' during the last session this afternoon (because hyperfixation doesn't care about self-imposed rules, even if they're important), so it remains to be seen. Either way, I'm gonna take a break for the rest of the week so my hand can get proper rest ^^

A heartfelt gift (contest prize)

Super late but finally here! Congrats to @horieclipse for winning 1st prize on my 100 followers contest over Instagram!! ❤️ I'm sorry it took so long and hope the wait's been worth it.

Horieclipse asked for a drawing with their OC Ezriel and Asra from the Arcana and gave me creative freedom as to how I wanted to draw them, so I decided to do a scene from the Arcana tale Heartsong Festival, where Asra gives the necklace to MC. It was lovely to draw them like this and I really enjoyed drawing Ezriel and Asra together. They're such cuties :3

Aaaand that's kind of it I guess xD Still slowly working on my art, being careful not to push myself and all. I kiiiinda started a pride themed piece a few days ago and I would love to finish it in time, even if in a last-minute-it's-actually-a-very-late-hour-on-the-30th-of-June kind of way, buuut we'll see if I can actually manage. As I said, I'm not pushing myself. Fingers crossed tho! 🤞🏼

Important health update (please read)

Heeeey, everyone. Sorry for kind of disappearing on you, but it seems I've been dealing with health issues non-stop lately 😅

I think the last update I made here was about my hand being strained? That's all okay, was probably just some tendinitis, got better with some anti-inflammatory pills in any case… Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of my health misadventures, since I've also went through the following:

Health issue n°1: I've been dealing with stomachache and nausea again. Since I've got better with meds, my doc deemed it not necessary to run any kind of tests to see why does this keep happening/if something is wrong with my stomach, despite this being a recurring thing and it having landed me in the ER this last time. She did tell me that if once I get off meds the issues return, she'll consider. This is, of course, annoying as hell, but as I did get better with meds it's kind of on the back of my mind, specially because of the issue n°2 taking most of my attention right now

Health issue n°2: Just barely a week after landing in the ER because of my stomach (which was already feeling better), I landed in the ER again, this time with what turned to be every symptom of arthritis. They did different tests on me (including different blood tests, urine tests, and even a throat swab) to rule out any infections that might've been causing the symptoms. They also put an IV on me (both to give me 3 different kind of meds to deal with the hardcore pain and inflammation on my joints and to keep me hydrated). Since the tests came back negative and the IV made my symptoms infinitely more manageable, they let me go home after some hours with some meds and an appointment scheduled with the rheumatologist. So, I'm currently waiting for the appointment (23rd of June), aaand for the results of some more of the blood tests (those which are more complex and take more time to do) to come back. I'll keep you updated on my condition as I know more about it. For now, all I know is the medical report from the ER says 'non-specified poliarthritis'.

(btw, if anyone's wondering why health issue n°1 and n°2 got handled so differently, it is because I went to a different hospital the second time)

So yeah! This has been the update. I'm feeling better now, no more stomach issues so far and my joints are feeling much better with the meds, still a little sore and I'm tired easily, but I'm managing well considering it has been just barely a week since I had the flare up.

Obviously, I'm gonna be considerably less active for… the foreseeable future, I guess. I'll be focusing on taking care of myself and trying to safely get back to some sort of routine.

Update

Hey everyone, this kind of updates are getting old and I'm getting kinda tired of it, but here we are, unfortunately xD

So, I've been sick. Again. Nothing serious, just my uterus and my anxiety forming a powerful alliance to give me some digestive problems and some other contractures (yaaay). I think the worst of it is over now, buut it's still gonna take me a while to get back on track. My neck and shoulders are stiff as heck T^T

Also, since I'm giving bad news, I should probably tell you about how my hand has been strained on and off for the past three months (which makes no sense because I've been taking extra care of it since the big strain incident last year, but here we are). I have an appointment with the doc the 2nd of May to tell her about this and see why the hell is this happening.

This is all to say I haven't been working on art for the past two weeks and I don't know how much I'll be able to do so now either. Needless to say, I'm mad about this, since art is one of the few things that keep me sane, but nothing to be done about it, I guess. Gonna have to take things easy and slow and with patience no matter how much I hate that, ugh.

So yeah, expect me to be less active than usual for at least a while (I hope a short while rather than a long one). Wish me luck and send healing vibes <3

[Note: I logged off Insta and when I logged in again it wasn't synced to my tumblr anymore and every time I try it says there's been an error and, AAAH, I moved this to a main blog precisely to be able to sync it to Insta and do the same work with less effort and now this bullshit?! *walks away swearing angrily* But now, back to the artwork]

It's at moments like these I miss a decent camera the most to capture the true colours BUT ANYWAY! Look at me stepping out of my comfort zone with acrylic on canvas xD

Anyway a... proposal artwork? -Is that a thing? It is now- That my sis comissioned because she didn't care that if I usually don't know what the hell I'm doing with art, then even less so with acryllics. Man, was I scared I'd messing up the whole time. But in the end it turned pretty nice, I think, and I swear the colours look better in real life but *cries in phone camera and terrible lighting*

On another note, and as you may have guessed, the characters are my bro-in-law and my sis' personas. Alsoo, the text was written by my sis with a glow in the dark paint that looks invisible by daylight, and that I hope she will let me steal in the future if I ever have any cool ideas xD
