My astrology observations: Aries
As a Scorpio sun Gemini moon Leo rising
*I am not an expert AT ALLLLL!!!
Oh boyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Personally, I enjoy an Aries. At the same time, sometimes they are the worst.
Aries people tend to be a lot. Fiery. Passionate. VERY TALKATIVE. I'm sure this doesn't apply to all Aries's of course - but I feel like you can definitely see the whole "war" aspect with these people. They don't get ready, they stay ready, you know?
As a Scorpio, I feel like we have a bit of a connection with Aries people, even if it doesn't always vibe, since Mars rules Aries and was the traditional ruler of Scorpio as well. I feel like the connection is comfort with conflict.
Whereas some signs don't like to argue unless they have to cause it feels unnecessary, or their feelings get hurt, the Aries people I know argue for fun and don't take it personally, they just want a chance to be loud about their ideas. And I think that can connect with the Scorpio comfort with the dark side of life, like as I think I mentioned in my post about Scorpios, we're pretty hard to shock cause we know life can be scary and intense. I can't speak for all Scorpios, but personally I love a good slightly combative debate with an Aries, even if it actually can be kind of infuriating if it goes too far.
I think another connection Aries and Scorpio have is they're both not to be trifled with. Like bitch, maybe that intimidation stuff would work with a libra, but generally Aries and Scorpio are less likely to be cowed.
In my experience, Aries is also a dream chasing sign. It may factor in that being next to Pisces, probably they more often do have a pisces placement or two. Still, I think their passion comes less from dreams and more from just some inner fire that must DO, that must be active! They're not always wise or thinking stuff through, they just wanna go for stuff! One of my best friends is an Aries, and they were an extremely chaotic child. They still are kinda chaotic. It keeps things interesting! (sending them love!!!)
A weakness I have seen in some Aries people is they can get a little insulated in their own mission. On the good side, I don't see this sign much as someone who would meddle or stick their nose in someone else's business (that might be more virgo or maybe even scorpio?) - but on the other hand, it can sometimes come off as if they don't even care or have interest in what other people are doing. That's only in my experience, and not always/ with all Aries people, so I definitely don't want to generalize. I think though, as the ram, ruling the head, cardinal, pushing forward, there's just a lot of that sort of blind "I do" energy, which is both such a boon to their own personal progress, but could also make them forget others. Maybe that's an aspect of a less grown up Aries.
Their mirror sign is libra - so while libra could stand to integrate Aries and stand up for themselves, take care of themselves, stop worrying too much about fairness and people pleasing and just get that bag for themselves - Aries could stand to remember partnership and seeing other people, stand to remember fairness and not just taking for themselves, and maybe could occasionally not blurt out that crazy thing they want to say that might make grandma mad, or jump off that cliff without making sure the water is deep enough.
To conclude, I really admire the passion and fierceness of Aries people. They're definitely folks you want on your side. I've known Aries people full of cool ideas that they chase, people that work hard, people that live lives of adventure and aren't afraid to take leaps without knowing where the bottom is. And these warriors often have a kind of fierce love, a protective, "you're on my team and we're gonna make it" sort of inspirational drive that I dig. In fact that's something I should have mentioned earlier, Aries people are great for an inspirational speech. Think David Tennant as the doctor, ranting and raving with his whole heart about right and wrong and the human (or alien) spirit! Sometimes they can be inconsiderate, overly aggressive, or insensitive to others, but not always, and we all have our stuff, and at the end of the day, they're pretty awesome people.
(and yeah off the top of my head, David Tennant is probably my fav famous Aries, like how can you not love him???? The passion, the care, the fierceness, the pinstripe suits and the hair and the running!! And irl his bomb Scottish accent! And talk about exemplifying passion and drive - like dude really said, "I love the tv show the doctor" then became an actor, became the doctor, and married the daughter of his favorite doctor (#5, Peter Davison, and he married Georgia) What a guy, and what a life.)

My astrology observations: Pisces
As a Scorpio sun Gemini moon Leo rising
*I am not an expert AT ALLLLL!!!
*Okay one more disclaimer on this one - my Lilith is in Pisces (yeesh, as a Christian that name makes me uncomfy - but like as a placement, it represents like the shadow of the moon or something?? or maybe an asteroid??) BUT I feel like it matters to mention, because from what I've read, that means some of the stuff within myself that I feel weird about / my shadow is represented in Pisces, and so I feel like unfortunately that does reflect a bit on my view of pisces people. Like I might have a bit more bias or weirdness than for other signs. Okay anyway let's get to it!
To me, Pisces is the beautiful Disney princess of the zodiac. Even if u r boy or masc/ enby, sorry u are princess. Ok, maybe beautiful poet prince. Like seriously, even the mangy man pisceans I've met often have this really sweet or sincere quality to them. Perhaps it's being in tune with the heart?
I also think there may be something to the traditional ruler of Pisces being Jupiter? Cause I feel like Pisces's are lucky... or at least good at manifesting the life they want. All the Pisces's I know seem to get all their dreams, and they're beautiful, and yeah maybe I'm a lil jealous! (see disclaimer haha) That's not to say these signs never go through anything hard, because that is very very much not true! It's just that they feel like a very un-stagnant sign to me. While some people might sit around and twiddle their thumbs and complain about how they never do anything, I feel like pisces people do stuff. They go to the far away college, they wear the pretty dress, they chase their dreams for realisies! So maybe it's unfair to say it's luck - but it does seem that often when they try things, those things work. Not all the time tho, so maybe im delulu
In my opinion, Pisces is the most openly emotional of the water signs. While Cancer and Scorpio are also very emotional in their way, both of them have shells and claws/stinger they hide behind. Pisces is just out there, raw, constantly getting hurt and crying and then moving on. They feel a lot, which I think gives them beautiful lives, but it's also really hard!!! I feel like there's definitely a reason that a lot of the "why did you hurt me" music comes from pisces folks. There also may be something to the fact that while being dreamers helps these people a lot, sometimes it makes them delulu about situations or people. So someone who to a suspicious Scorpio such as I is clearly a mean-spirited, flaky, crusty, slightly sexist man, to a pisces is their perfect prince ... until he isn't. Not to say getting hurt is their fault - because like nobody should be mean and boo yuck no victim blaming - but like sometimes realism is a hard drug to hit.
Maybe it's just how I am, maybe it's my placements, but I often seem to end up hurting Pisces's feelings when I wasn't trying to. Hmm interesting, reading this back, I wonder how that could have happened? (sarcasm) I think every sign has really good things about it, as well as things to work on, but tbh I seem to struggle a bit with this sign. Two of my closet friends growing up were Pisceans, but it got messy and we don't talk anymore. The one that hurt me more was when in one fight she revealed she had been feeling hurt by me for years and hadn't said anything. Sad stuff.
Pisceans are also often very talented in creative areas and natural artists. I think a big strength of pisces is that they know what they like and they aren't ashamed to chase after it / work on it / go for it!
Like for example, when I was a kid, I thought fashion was super fun, but then I saw the way it was portrayed in the media as something that mean girls like, or airheads, and so I was embarrassed and kinda just moved on with my life, and even sort of judged other people who were really into clothes and makeup. Like baby me was kinda that girl, tutus, dresses, jewels - but then older me was like -no, I'm a woman of substance- AND TO BE FAIR I think a lot of girls go through this - we call it the "not like other girls" phase - BUT my point is, I think a pisces would be more likely to ignore the stigma around it and just be like, no, I like fashion, it makes me happy to look pretty!
I think a weakness of Pisces is that they get overly caught up in their emotions. I think their intuition and emotional knowledge are also one of their biggest strengths, so I should say that first. And as someone who might be a little less emotional, I don't wanna essentially man(woman?)splain like "ah, no, your emotions are no big deal, get over it" like - your feelings are valid... but I definitely have seen the weakness of not being able to see past your emotions to the point that you can't see other peoples' points of view.
So in conclusion, Pisces is a really cool sign with really cool people. They're emotional, creative, and often kind (though I do feel like some can be a bit "mean girl" ish). They wear their heart and personalities on their sleeves, and many have good intuitions. They sometimes let their emotions cloud their judgement, but they also know that just because something isn't logically a problem doesn't mean it isn't an emotional or energetic problem. That's something I think I'm still working with.
I think maybe something exciting I have to look forward to is making peace with my essentially shadow pisces, and accept that sometimes I need to be vulnerable and cared for, even as I can trust my heart and my dreams. Let out the inner princess you could say. ;)
Chappell Roan and Olivia Rodrigo are two of my favorite famous Pisceans. I LOVE their art styles and the way they dress, and yeah, it's fun to sing dramatic emotional songs. :D They both have a sprinkle of mean girl in them, but I think overall they're good people? I mean idk, they're celebs, I don't know them!
Anyway, the end! (Except for it's not cause I started this series with cancer so I have three left to go! :D )

My astrology observations: Aquarius
As a Scorpio sun Gemini moon Leo rising
*I am not an expert AT ALLLLL!!!
AQUARIUS! In my experience, Aquarians are cool. Even if they're super uncool, I find them very cool, because they intently love their passions. It's not that they try to be cool or out of the mainstream, they just genuinely are think outside of the box and genuinely have more eclectic tastes.
Looking at my Aquarius friends, they're often the ones who often like the most random TV shows, books, movies- but a lot of times it's good stuff. Not all the time lollll.
Aquarians are people who often stop to look at the big picture of life. In my experience, they're often good at English, theology, or something that synthesizes ideas to get to the heart of something that matters. I betcha if you can get them out of their shell, Aquarians would tell you the most interesting of life stories.
As I have read, Aquarius is the mirror sign of Leo. While Leo is the golden talent that incites everyman charisma, Aquarius often is jarring to the masses. I think Leos kinda reflect joy of being alive, and often are vibing in any system - but Aquarians are the ones who stop and say "wait - is this system ok?" Both aspects are good, but I think this disrupting factor plus the big picture awareness is one reason Aquarians are often known as outcasts or black sheep in their families or hometowns.
A lot of activists are Aquarians. They like to question the status quo and make sure everyone is being treated fairly. Abraham Lincoln and Oprah Winfrey are two examples of Aquarians. So obviously we want that kind of energy in the world - but people often don't like to see where they're going wrong, so sometimes Aquarians get hate for this.
There's a stereotype that Aquarians are cold and unemotional. Tbh I think that some of this is actually a little more dependent on the moon sign. It's never good to put people in boxes, and Aquarians can be very emotional. I think some of the perception of coldness can sometimes come from being on big picture mode. Aquarians get upset by genuine unkindness, and want to be kind themselves, but in my experience they're often not as worried about pleasantries which can make some people find them uncomfy or rude. These placements aren't really "how was your day" / "what nice weather" sort of people.
Some of this also has to do with their dedication to authenticity at whatever cost. Whereas a libra might be more likely to be sweet to anyone in a convo, even if they don't really like the person, Aquarians are less likely to people please or pretend to feel good when they don't.
Every person is different, and I can only presume to find general themes across people, strengthened by online research... but I'd say because Aquarians are committed to genuine individuality, they're even a little harder to generalize. The generalization is that they're all kinda doing their own thing.
Another thing about Aquarius is that the sign rules some aspects of friendship. I think another skill of a lot of Aquarians is being able to appreciate other people as they are, which often leads to Aquarians, even if they sometimes come off a little weird and awkward, to having strong committed friend groups.
A lot of gen Z has an Aquarius placement (I believe Neptune in Aquarius??) and in my opinion that's part of why a lot of us, across our varying personalities, all can kind of appreciate weird memes, bizarre humor, technology (also something associated with Aquarius) and social issues.
As for weaknesses of Aquarians... stuff I've noticed is that sometimes they are so convinced they are right, they don't want to listen to another viewpoint. As a fixed air sign, they may need to watch out for fixed mental states. However they can also be very good listeners... I think it's because they often do have a good viewpoint or perspective, and that they do care about humanity, that sometimes when they hit a blindspot, it's hard to convince them out of it.
One Aquarius in my life, for example, sees a lot of conversational pleasantries as disingenuous people pleasing. I at once really appreciate her perspective and commitment to authenticity, but I also feel like there's got to be some kind of merit to meeting someone where they're at on their wavelength? Idk. Maybe that's my libra mercury talking. :)
Along with sometimes being overly stubborn in their views, another thing I've noticed with Aquarians is having a weird relationship with self esteem. I feel like often they're either a little obsessed with their unique cool "right" worldview, or they're so "zoomed out" on perspective that they think they don't matter. Idk maybe that's the human condition. Anyway, if you balance the two, I think that's a good place to be.
Overall, although like I'm always saying everyone is different and you can't put someone into a box just based on sign, I am an Aquarius fan. Although there are definitely some Aquarians that annoy me, in general I find Aquarians to be thoughtful, good, interesting people who are true to themselves and true to humanity. They may get some side eyes or judgment thrown their way, but they continue to be some of the coolest people walking around, making the world a better and more interesting place.

Wondering what it would be like to have Tumblr but offline? Like idk I don't wanna be Ms. Tin Hat over here but with the way tech execs are acting with Donald Trump I feel a little less safe putting my thoughts, ideas, beliefs, personal things, etc online??? Is in person Tumblr just talking??? Or maybe some sort of anonymous writing in newspapers?? In my mind's eye I see a big room chock full of people, like a 1920s newsroom or newspaper house. Lots of bowler hats and those nice girl bowler hats, light pink and powder blue and tan, and someone's waving a handkerchief.
Seriously though, can you be anonymous in person?? Maybe by simply creating and not signing. And we're not totally anonymous on here --- is anonymity better for connection anyway?? I'm more honest and open but community and being known is better I guess.

Does anyone know what to do for chronic obsessions about physical discomfort?? It's like ocd combined with feeling messed up in my body combined with depression.
Like I don't want to go into it too much but I had a bit of a surgery like six-ish months ago and I'm healed but I've felt like shit ever since, I think cause I'm missing some nerves but idk. I've never been depressed like this. Idk I s'pose no one can fix it it's just that the changed emotional state has me feeling like I ruined my life.
I'm gonna try and see a counselor pretty soon cause my ocd has been somewhat unmanaged for yeeearrrssss but like I guess I just needed to get this off my chest tonight cause no one can fix it but it's on my mind all the time. idk where my journal is.
I also just wish I had an older sibling or someone I could cry on once my parents are at their limit which they are.
I'm usually a pretty cheerful person and this has been the hardest six months of my life, almost every day feels unbearable and I don't know what to do.

My astrology observations: Capricorn
As a Scorpio sun Gemini moon Leo rising
*I am not an expert AT ALLLLL!!!
What can I say about Capricorn?
Capricorns are strong personalities. The goat as a symbol generally makes a lot of sense for these folks. Some are more likely to kick you than others, but most of the ones I've known really do have that grit-it-out work ethic.
The stereotype of a Capricorn is someone who's good at business and the daily grind. I think that can be true, but it's a little reductive. I think the reason capricorns work so hard is because they have a lot of passion. Sometimes the passion is to climb the corporate ladder or to have complete financial security (and more)- but the passion could be anything. One friend of mine who's a cap loves acting. And she went at it full throttle! She got into a great school, was (as far as I know) pretty much top of her class, had lead roles, and now, fresh out of graduation, is already signed on to an ad agency.
Anybody can have dreams, but capricorns take the practical steps to get them there. Alexander Hamilton, for example, was a Capricorn, and as the musical can attest he was non stop cranking that shit out!!! Same as Lin Manuel Miranda, another Capricorn...
I saw one astro vid on insta (I think by the intuitive astrologer account?) that said to say Capricorn rules business is reductive and overemphasizes capitalism. Instead you could say cap energy represents duty to society or "the collective." That thing that you really want to bring into the world, whether or not it expands beyond your reach. So if you're a cap who's felt unfairly labeled as boring business bro(gal/they), then reimagine that with me!
I almost think of capricorns as knights with duties to fulfill. And boy if they don't fulfill them.
The downside of cap energy is this goat like headstrong factor...which makes accomplishing great deeds possible... can also make them really hard to talk to. If you've ever changed a Capricorn's mind (when they weren't looking to change it) - props to you. Some capricorns are better at working with others than others, but in my experience most capricorns are not people pleasers.
Capricorns also can become jaded by the world they live in. In this day and age, it's a wonder we're not all depressed, so I'm not trying to single anybody out here. But, in my experience, because capricorns are often in the weeds of their personal battles, the world can start to look like a constant war to them. They may need someone to remind them that even brave knights are allowed to smell a few roses. Tax season, government bureaucracy, social injustice, they see all this - and they can burn themselves out trying to fight it/fix it. A Capricorn who knows how to rest is a true powerhouse, and a Capricorn who knows how to see other people can go far.
Also my fav famous Capricorn IS gonna have to be Lin Manuel Miranda, he is a genius, you can not change my mind.

My astrology observations: Sagittarius
As a Scorpio sun Gemini moon Leo rising
*I am not an expert AT ALLLLL!!!
I can't say much about this one because I don't know many Sagittariuses. However, from the few I know plus some of what I've read, Sagittarius is all about wisdom through experience.
Wisdom is something we all accrue in this life, hopefully, as we age and mature. We experience good and bad, life and death, beautiful moments and terrible mistakes, with everything in-between.
But Sagittarius is really looking for that. They're also called the traveler, and so they're often out there, trying something, learning, trying again. They're okay with not following the beaten path. They just wanna become.
Sag has a reputation for being chaotic. That's because they try shit.
The explorer, the traveler, the seeker, looking for an answer.
A lot of gen Z all has a sagittarius placement - Pluto in Sagittarius. To me, that makes sense, because I feel like we're a pretty open minded generation. I feel like a lot of us do have that kind of chaotic goofy "why not" hippie sort of attitude. We're chaotic dressers that thrift, we try to respect other cultures (even the more conservative counter-culture of today is trying to be wise in their way, perhaps), and we're probably the most queer friendly generation the world has seen in a long time.
I've read this placement also means our biggest lessons come from hearing other people's perspectives and changing our minds based on what we learn. (source-snapchat lol) I think we're kind of on our way with this. A think a lot of gen Z already has an activist bent, we're just learning how to hold complexity, and to befriend people who don't hold all the same beliefs as us.
So, idk, that's my take. What do you think?
Oh, also, my favorite famous Sagittarius is Mark Ruffalo. He is one of the sweetest men to grace this earth in my opinion, he's still humble despite fame, and he seriously uses his platform for activism and uplifting others.

My astrology observations: Scorpio
As a Scorpio sun Gemini moon Leo rising
*I am not an expert AT ALLLLL!!!
Oh boy. Scorpios.
So in my experience, a key element of Scorpios is intensity. What they are intense about varies, but with Scorpio energy, the volume is pretty much always cranked to 11/10. Some scorpios are intense about school. Some about their sport, their friends, their partner. Often they're plain intense about everything. Sun, moon, rising, they got that intense stare.
Another thing about Scorpios is that they're often more low-key than say, a Leo. You might say we like to play 3D chess. Never let em know your next move type stuff. For real when I was in school I was so secretive about my feelings, especially with boys I liked, that I would write in a specific journal in hard to read ink. Later I moved on to using the elvish alphabet. (I am quite nerdy.) Often this secrecy is just purely self protection. We're sensitive!!! We're sensitive and we notice power dynamics. In my opinion, that's something that separates us from the other water signs, especially Pisces. We're not going to be as open with our feelings, because we know that feelings can get used against you.
My personal experience as a scorpio (with a lot of air placements) is that I care too much. I have to get the perfect grade, I have to do the perfect thing, I have to be the perfect person. Or if not that, I have to be the ideal person I want to be. It's also that I sometimes don't know how to give up control. Scorpios are known to be pretty obsessive, and I literally have obsessive compulsive disorder, so there ya go!! One of my life lessons has been learning to open up to my friends. Cause when you share something with someone, the shell is gone and you're just that wriggling naked arthropod, and it's up to the other person what happens next. But ... that's okay!! It's good to trust people!!
I've also often felt very intense about music, symbols, art. Things it's hard to put into words.
A scorpio stereotype is vengefulness. I think for me personally all my air placements tone this down a lot, but I do feel sometimes that if someone has done me wrong they are now not to be trusted and, an op, if you will. I feel more vengeful when people hurt my loved ones. I'm a Christian though, and I don't like to hurt people. That being said, sometimes it's hard for me to let things go.
Then there's the whole thing of scorpio ruling sexuality... Here's my hot take on that. You know how I said we're aware of power dynamics? I think we're also aware of sexuality. Like U2 put it, "the mysterious distance between a man and a woman." (or what have you gender) Obviously when I was a kid I was not sexually into my peers, but I felt the gravity of love and attraction even then. I wouldn't even be friends with boys because I could tell they were always making it romantic, or I was. Sometimes I wished to be blissfully unaware of crushes and things like that, but instead it was a heavy nervousness because I took it so seriously.
Everyone is different, but in my (not huge) experience, Scorpios are less likely to be very free with who they sleep with than you might expect, based on their reputation. I think that's because we understand the gravity of sex. Sex isn't just a physical act, it's two people coming together in an extremely intimate way, a way that leaves a permanent impact on both people. I was raised to think sex also involves two souls coming together, but I think that resonates with a scorpio "stare into your soul" sort of mindset. And perhaps that's part of why Scorpios are known to be smexy. If you're gettin it on with a scorpio they're gonna see all the way through you and maybe even you them.
Scorpios all kind of have a certain gravity about them. I'm starting to think though, that part of the scorpio journey is to let it go. We start off (secretly) strong and proud and fierce. Maybe it's partly a wall anyway. Then shit happens. And we power through it until we can't anymore. Scorpios can be very powerful people. But even the strong have to accept their weakness, even the tough need help. Becoming a full person means breaking open, accepting softness, getting hurt and continuing on, and letting God (or life if you prefer) turn you into something better.
Scorpios have a lot of soul. I mean everyone has soul, but scorpios feel their souls intensely. They hide it sometimes, with the intense pressures they put themselves under, their shields, their intelligence, the 3D chess. But at the end of the day we are sensitive and feel a lot, we just need to be let lose to play, to generate and create, and to care for and protect/nuture others.
Scorpio is associated with sex and with rebirth(I think), and so I think a takeaway is we could have lot of "babies" to give to this world, so to speak. RuPaul has a good video talking about scorpio creativity. Passion needs to go somewhere constructive, instead of destructive. The pain has to heal and we have to let ourselves become something new.
As I've heard a couple places, scorpios often have a lot of reasons not to trust. They often get hurt and have to learn to heal or find healing (or let themselves be healed). This pain is useful, it can fuel greater empathy and understanding. I think a lot of Scorpios, if they can get past their egos, are the kind of people who have seen the shadowy sides of life, and so they don't judge when you're dealing with that.
To wrap, healthy Scorpio energy is about using your intensity and passion for good, about getting back up when you fall, about expressing the mysteries of life, about letting yourself be that intelligent pro, about making peace with yourself, being okay with vulnerability. Unhealthy scorpio energy would be obsessions, jealousy, rage, and being overly controlling. You gotta be humble and responsible with your power, and you have to know that in life, there's a lot you simply don't have any power over, and that's okay, good even.
Georgia O'Keefe is my favorite famous Scorpio. Yeah girl, paint those flowers!

My astrology observations: Libra
As a Scorpio sun Gemini moon Leo rising
*I am not an expert AT ALLLLL!!!
(I promised I would get back to this!!)
Ok so in my experience there are two types of Libras and/or sides to Libra. Interesting, just like there are two sides to a scale lol!!
The first side, which is what I feel like I see talked about more in media, is the people-pleasing, Venus-y, lover side. The house of libra rules relationships as well as equality and balance, so Libras like everyone to be happy, and to be in partnership. They also love art, beauty, and fine things. Libra stands opposite to Aries, represented by the god of war, so libra in some ways represents peace.
The other side to Libra is the side of justice. I think of great marble pillars and statues and stern, artful logic. I think a lot of Libras have a strong sense of justice and what is right/fair, and so they can be a little intimidating or unbending at times, especially when it comes to beliefs. Also, Libra is intellectual, as an air sign, and beauty can be found in many places - not just art, but also mathematics, physics, the order and structure of nature.
I know Libras who get walked all over 24/7, and I know Libras who are very intimidating. And sometimes, these people are both/and! For example, my boss is a libra and he's kinda intimidating, but he also often doesn't speak up when something bothers him.
I also had a teacher who used to terrify me with her really strict policies (it was something like if I see your phone out three times this year I'm dropping you a letter grade :0 ), but apparently she's also a people pleaser out of the classroom?
I've even got a Libra family member, who does so much for our family without even thinking twice, who constantly mediates between certain other disagreeable family members, etc... but also when it comes to conduct is very unwavering in his ideas.
I have my Mercury in Libra, and I see this energy in myself as someone who likes to be fair and unbiased in my judgements, and who likes to put things logically if the situation calls for it. Like I don't always want to be in my logic mind, (and OF COURSE I have my blindspots) but if I'm making an argument best believe I am deconstructing it piece by piece with a heckeva lot of logos, with supporting pathos and ethos ;) . I also like to speak peacefully - I don't like to upset people, I tend to say things as inoffensively as I can, and I sometimes find myself trying to take care of other people with what I say. Rarely do you find me bluntly spitting harsh truths. I also like poetry (though I've been a bit off of it) and beautiful words. You might say I like to speak with a gentle tongue, and give words with a kiss and a flower. <3
I've also got a Libra Venus, so I feel like that kinda compounds the way I like to care for others but I also want fairness. I've read that Libra Venus people can love anyone if they put their mind to it, and I think that is true. OF COURSE I want to marry someone I really love and connect with, and who sees me for me and gets me... but I've always kind of felt that I could have been okay if I was in an arranged marriage or like a little peasant town with five options or something... cause I could be tender with and love just about anyone.
In my opinion, healthy libra energy is about justice! Justice, but also grace and peace. Being a kind person, but also a fair person who stands up for yourself and others. It's also about working with others, appreciating beauty, and the good that logic and ideas, as well as art, can do for the community. Unhealthy libra energy would be letting everyone walk all over you, being overly flighty, or on the other hand, being so unbending about "justice" and the perfect world that you forget about grace and mercy in this beautifully imperfect world.
My favorite famous Libra is Suzanne Valadon. You should google her and check out her work, it's awesome!! I think you can see her Libra-ness in her commitment to bold, harsh truth, as well as her artfulness and love of color and form.

My astrology observations: Virgo
As a Scorpio sun Gemini moon Leo rising
*I am not an expert AT ALLLLL!!!
When thinking of Virgo, detail oriented and grounded are the first two things that come to mind for me. Those things are less flashy than a lot of other characteristics, but that does not reduce the quality of these people by any means! In my experience virgos are kind and reliable friends. They keep their head on their shoulders, and one could even say they sometimes hover around the "mom friend" zone. Their groundedness often comes up for stuff like organization, but I'd also like to point out these earth signs are earthy and connected to their bodies as well. Two of my best friends are Virgos, and while both kinda nerdy, they both are good at dancing and rhythm.
Virgos are also often good thinkers. I get along with Virgos because they will have long conversations with me and aren't afraid to analyze stuff and play with ideas. IN other words these cuties are smarties!! And that's on Mercury, planet of communication (obviously everyone is different and it isn't all cause of the planet, but you get what I mean!). I do feel like they tend to be a little more concrete than an air sign with their thinking, but it depends on the person.
*Now, thinking out loud and playing with ideas (as I might with a virgo friend) does the communication + the earth + the mutable flexibility make for good communications with earth?? Could Virgos be good animal communicators? I know two Virgos with very green thumbs, so I could maybe say they are good plant communicators. Just ideas though...*
The other thing (which is kinda a stereotype/not just my observation) (which, please note, a fair amount of these posts are influenced by stuff I have read, not just my experiences) about Virgos is they are known to be helpers! In my experience this is very true. If you know the Bible story of Mary and Martha, Virgos definitely tend to be more Martha types. They step up to clean, cook, and do all the things no one else wants to do or isn't noticing. They might be grumpy about it, (and they would probably appreciate help!) but I think it also makes them feel better to make these improvements.
I have also seen (note: sample size, five) depression in virgo sun/ moon placements. When you see all the places that need help, unfortunately that also means you are locked into seeing a lot of problems. All the time.
Another thing to unpack. Virgo is the sign of the virgin/maiden. I feel there is a certain purity and earnestness in virgos. Even if they aren't abstinent or literally virgins, it's this certain gentleness and purity of spirit. I can't say all virgos have that, but I do think it's sort of a thing. And this "maiden-like" energy goes for anyone. I have a grumpy older male family member who is a virgo, but even he, world-weary as he is, has this certain sort of vulnerability in him. That's something I really appreciate as someone who can be a bit harsh in some ways.
If every sister sign is sort of an opposite and yet a mirror, it makes sense that Pisces goes with Virgo. While Pisces is very dreamy and impractical in opposition to Virgo, they share this similar sort of softness that I almost think of as "Disney Princess energy." Singing to birds that then help you clean feels very virgo like to me lol.
I also think that virgo work ethic can get you to a lot of places and present in a lot of different forms. Something I have noticed with earth signs is that they often get a stamp of being "worker bee" types as opposed to "creatives" BUT in actuality they can often bring their work ethic to a more "creative" pursuit and are in fact more prolific than a spacey air sign or a turbulent water sign might be. I know zodiacs literally are categories, but still, it's usually best not to box people in because there are a million different ways to be anything, including a virgo. In fact, I believe Virgo rules crafting, so in some senses virgos are also natural creators.
To conclude, I think healthy Virgo energy is about helping people, making the world a better place, caring for the earth, communication, crafting, and organizing / getting into gritty jobs instead of fleeing for the hills! Unhealthy Virgo energy is over criticism, carrying the weight of everything that needs fixing, pessimism, and losing the forest for the trees. I think as long as you remember why you do what you do and what you love, you will be on the right track. And don't be afraid to ask for help!!!!! (And non virgos - help your virgos!!! (That's a note for me too, haha))
To keep this celeb call out up, my favorite famous Virgo is Jack Black. Though to be honest, if I think about him too much I start to doubt the accuracy of the western zodiac compared to the Vedic zodiac. Because you could argue he has GOT that Leo star power in spades! However, you could also say he's earthy and very comfortable with his body. In fact, this is sort of another tangent, but it seems to me there are a lot of iconically famous Virgos: um, BEYONCE?? ZENDAYA??? Which for me begs the question: is it work ethic, earthiness, likability and that everyman humility mixed with genuine skill that is bringing virgos to fame? Or are they actually Leos??? (dun dun duhhhh!!!)
Jimmy Fallon is someone who falls into virgo with new and old dates. So he's my pick for favorite extra virgo virgo lol. He's likable but I would say doesn't have as much as that star like umph as a Beyonce.
Anyway, do you believe that I have a gemini moon?? I do be talking! If you made it to the end of this, you're a real one, let's get married.
JK! Unless...

My astrology observations: Leo
As a Scorpio sun Gemini moon Leo rising
*I am not an expert AT ALLLLL!!!
Ok, my hot take on Leos is boldness. I know, how very different of me. Before I even knew I was a Leo rising, I used to think how Leos (specifically Leo suns) always command attention, and it's either very cool or very cringy. Sometimes, it's both.
I almost see Leo energy as having a spotlight on you. A lot of Leos are naturally cool. Some are very loud. Some are just that random guy that everyone knows for some reason and is like "Ahhh that guy!!!" I've known a few Leos who were more quiet and under the radar, but even they both ended up on stage in different ways. Like the sun, you can't really not see a Leo. I've also known a couple Leo moons. They both sort of wore their heart as this thing that everyone can see, and they almost couldn't help it. Most of the time I think Leos are likable... but not all the time lol.
Another thing about Leos is that they are consistent. I think in contrast to the cardinal, moon ruled cancer, who is constantly in a different moon phase - Leo just shines their shine.
I personally am a Leo rising, though it's also ruling my twelfth house (yippee) and so (I think) that means part of my first house is also virgo influenced. For most of my life I pretty much saw myself as a nerd, but I do fit the bill of a Leo rising in that I like art, I LOVE dressing boldly, and some people say I have stage presence (rizz face). I also find it hilarious that as a child my mother said everyone looks like an animal, and that I look like a lion. Did she clock me?? Mayhaps... she is very intuitive about these things.
I see healthy Leo energy as shining your light and loving yourself. This kind of energy encourages everyone else to also par-tay, have fun, be themself, be dramatique, enjoy life. I see unhealthy Leo energy as being overly self obsessed, radiating self hatred or bad vibes, loud rudeness, and maybe a lack of balance and self reflection. Some of this stuff is stuff I gotta work on...
They way I see it is if you've got the mic, use it for good. If you're gonna radiate, radiate good. And don't be afraid to share your spotlight and lift up others! Balance with the opposite sign's energy, Aquarius, wide world view, help other people, etc!
Fun fact Obama is a Leo... and boy if he doesn't Leo!!!

Reblogging these astrology thoughts due to recent interest ;D
I started with cancer because I feel like that's a sign that I have personally observed more things about. I'm still writing them so gemini will be my last of the set.
My astrology observations: Cancer
As a Scorpio sun Gemini moon Leo rising
*I am not an expert AT ALLLLL!!!
Show me a Cancer or someone with strong Cancer placements and I'll show you their bf/gf that they act like they are basically married to, whether or not they are endgame. The wifey gene is strong with these folks (irregardless of gender)!! Literally my junior year of college my two best cancer friends both got engaged. Coincidence? I think not!!
I love how nurturing cancers can be, and I think it's sweet how when they decide to love someone, they can go all in pretty easily. When a cancer cares about you, romantically or as a friend, you're gonna be loved!!! And, as cardinal signs, they are active! They go for things, they make moves, in my experience they are not afraid of change. Part of how cancers are always getting dates is cause they go for it when they like someone. However, personally I sometimes worry that they're too quick to hitch their wagon to someone when they could maybe do better. But that's partly my overprotective friend self talking. Cancers tend to go in heart first, and that's something I really admire about them - for the most part. Cancers are also very good at understanding how you are feeling intuitively.
I've also had some bad experiences with cancers...every person is different, so I cannot speak to all cancers, but I've had a few instances where I thought I had become very close friends with a cancer, but then suddenly it seemed like they didn't like me anymore and they moved on without me.
My take is that healthy cancer energy is all about love and care, as well as being surprisingly bold and adventurous even as a homebody. It's an active, emotional, powerful tidal force. Having strong emotions and then acting on them will lead you to living a beautiful life full of chasing and catching dreams, finding loving relationships, and lots of adventure as well as rest in a cozy home.
On the other hand, unhealthy cancer energy is when you are swept away by quickly acting on unhelpful emotions. All emotions are valid, and you deserve to feel your feelings, but not all emotions are justified or deserve to be acted on. In my experience, unhealthy cancer energy looks like cutting someone off without hearing them out, letting jealously and resentment bubble up, and cliquishness coming from needing to be in the cool crowd/ be accepted.
I really admire Cancers's capacity for love and passion, adventurousness, and nurturing force. And even though I myself may have been pinched a time or two, sometimes you gotta admire that cancer claw.
Also, Frida Kahlo was a cancer!

Eowyn and the Hobbits
Eowyn is very thematically tied to the hobbits
While a trained warrior and a member of the royal family, her youth, her gender and lack of battle experience puts her in a subordinate position to many of the other lead heroes, much like the hobbits, due to their stature and lack of martial background are dependant, and therefore at times subordinate, to the rest of the Fellowship.
Eowyn is most specifically tied to Merry. Both of them are to be left behind when the muster leaves for Rohan and when she brings him along with her to battle, you can imagine her seeing her own frustration, her own despair in him, and wishing to do better for him than had been done for her.
They ride together on one horse, and take down a great foe together. They almost become one fighting body, one unit, and the bond between them is deepened by Merry declaring Theoden as like a father, and Eowyn also being Theoden's adopted child.
You see elements of her in the other hobbits as well. Pippin is the youngest hobbit and the one Elrond wishes to stay back, (Eowyn is the also the youngest in her family), so that experience of others wanting to hold them back, keep them confined, is one she shares with Pippin as well.
With Sam, we have Eowyn at the end declaring the wish to love all things that grow, and Faramir planning to grow a garden with her. Sam is perhaps one of the most virtuous (if not the most virtuous) characters in the books, and his love of gardening, of nature and growing things, is used to underline his virtue. To be garderner is, morally, the greatest thing to be in Middle Earth, and when Eowyn finds happiness, and reason for hope and joy, it is Sam's calling she likewise finds herself drawn to.
With Frodo, both of them suffer with depression. Both of them experience moments where they can no longer remember what it is to feel joy, or believe they never will again. They are also bound through the Witch King. Frodo's first really terrible blow of the war is the wound dealt him by the Witch King, and it is that wound which continues to physically torment him after the war. Eowyn, with Merry's assistance, is the one to slay the Witch King. She too suffers physical ramifications of this act, also in her arms, and like Frodo, her suffering and recovery from this physical blow is tied to her mental and physical suffering.
When Frodo and Sam complete their quest, and the Ring is destroyed, everyone in Middle Earth is saved, but we get to see this moment from Faramir and Eowyn's perspective, and we see how this moment is a turning point in Eowyn's healing narrative, especially pertinent, as a fair deal of Eowyn's depression was directly caused by Sauron's servants, Saruman and Grima, actively working to destroy her mental health. Therefore, both Eowyn and Frodo, while taking down enemies that were a threat to everyone, also destroyed an enemy that was a personal foe to the other.
The Scouring of the Shire also emphasises the ties between the hobbits and Eowyn. First, between Eowyn and the hobbits as a whole. Grima, as the king's counsellor and a student of Saruman, was in a position of power over Eowyn, and he used that to prey on her and cause her harm. After Saruman is defeated, and Grima is cast very low, and is tormented by Saruman, he then preys on the hobbits, even eating one of them.
And of course, it is the hobbits who overthrow Saruman and Grima's control, and it is at the hands of a hobbit that Grima finally dies, and Eowyn's tormenter is killed.
Eowyn and the hobbits are all examples of the unexpected, overlooked hero, whose courage and competence is underrated, only to be proved pivotal in times of crisis. And Eowyn and the hobbits all know, by the end of the narrative, that although sometimes battles have to be fought, gardening is a better thing to aspire to.

Slay? I SEE THE VISION OK he's got that high fashion alien bug thing going on.
Still very glad they took it out, we woulda missed the whole scene clowning on him, like I know for a fact my family would all be roasting him so so hard
The one thing I overwhelmingly remember from watching the Lotr Appendices as a child. This stupid hair style they gave Elrond for Aragorn's coronation and walked back when they saw how dumb it looked.
