June Wrap Up
Before I get into my wrap up I want to first touch on a bit of what happened in June. There was a lot going on in the world, more specifically regarding police brutality against black people and Black Lives Matter. If you’ve been living under an actual rock, follow that link for more information on what you can do to help the movement/find out more/educate yourself. There is a ton of online…

Top Ten Tuesday (103)
Top Ten Tuesday (103)
Books On My Summer 2020 TBR
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl
These seasonal TBR’s have always been really fun for me to fill out, but I have ALWAYS had problems actually completing them… I always get distracted but a few dozen other books and completely blow my TBR out. Now I plan to take part in a rather big readathon in August (The N.E.W.Ts – if it still goes ahead)…

May Wrap Up
And May is done! The past few months have been bizarre to say the least, but May marked the start of [maybe] getting back to “normal”.
I started May fresh off the heels of the O.W.L’s Magical Readathon, with my last book read being House of Earth & Blood so I didn’t quite feel like diving into another book right away. I also started working again the second week into March, which felt weird.…

Review: The Betrothed by Kiera Cass
Review: The Betrothed by Kiera Cass
[book-info]
My Thoughts & Review
I adored The Selection series so when I seen that Kiera Cass had an upcoming book that seemed to be along the same vein (minus the competition of course), I knew I had to pick it up.
Ugh, how disappointed I am. I honestly have no other way to describe my reading experience except to say I slogged through it. It’s a really easy read but honestly, I had no…

Review: The Wife Stalker by Liv Constantine
Review: The Wife Stalker by Liv Constantine
[book-info]
My Thoughts & Review
Liv Constantine has been on my radar since I read, and enjoyed, The Last Mrs. Parrish so when I received The Wife Stalker I could hardly wait to dive into it back in April!
Honestly, there is little I feel like I can really say without unintentionally spoiling something so I’ve essentially just going to give some minor thoughts and urge you to pick this up…

O.W.L’S Magical Readathon 2020 - Wrap Up
O.W.L’S Magical Readathon 2020 – Wrap Up
Phew! Against all odds I completed my O.W.L’s for my career of Alchemist. I didn’t quite stick with my original TBR as I couldn’t get into a few of the books at the end and I knew if I had to push myself to read them I wouldn’t complete them. Instead I decided to add House of Earth and Blood into the mix with two days to finish… but I DID IT, with barely any time to spare to midnight I finished 🙂

O.W.L's Magical Readathon 2020 - TBR
O.W.L’s Magical Readathon 2020 – TBR
I’ve watched loads of O.W.L & N.E.W.T TBR’s and videos since the very beginning but never found the time (or ambition hah) to get it together and participate myself. WELL! Since we are all either self-isolating or social distancing/staying home, I have ALL of the time to participate 😉 I half-heartedly posed it to my sister today as well and she is also joining in so we have spent the last 6 odd…

ummm... hi?
ummm… hi?
Well. It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I seriously don’t even know where to start with this post.
First of all, it’s been a year. Well more than a year, actually. This time last year Nick and I were frantically packing up our apartment to move even farther across Canada to Calgary, Alberta. That’s right, I’VED MOVED!
We are now (happily) living in Calgary, and I couldn’t be more elated with…

Tome Topple & Read-Eh-Thon TBR's
#TomeTopple & #readEHthon TBR's
YAYYY!!! Readathons! I am in SUCH a readathon mood lately so I was thrilled when I saw that there would be another round of Tome Topple AND a Canadian readathon in July. I was actually planning on doing a separate post for each readathon but it’s been so hot the last few days I have been remarkably lazy, haha. So… one post it is!

Buzzword Readathon Round 1 TBR
Buzzword Readathon Round 1 TBR
So, I’m joining a readathon for the first time in a long time 🙂 The Buzzword Readathon is hosted by Lala and Dylan and the first round is running from May 7th to May 13th! It’s going to be a recurring readathon where you just simply read books with the buzzword! This months buzzword is GIRL.
I am really excited to participate. I am trying really hard this year to whittle down my TBR and I have a…

Review: Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
Review: Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
[book-info] Well, I don’t really know where to start. Little Fires Everywhere wasn’t even close to being on my radar. Even though it was all over the blogosphere and Goodreads, it just didn’t seem like something that I would be interested in so I didn’t pay it any mind. Then, during all of the end of year wrap-ups, it was like I couldn’t STOP seeing this book and the reviews were AMAZING. It’s…

April 2018 TBR
Well here we are, already moving into the Spring portion of the year (ugh, haha!). I’m sure everyone is sick of hearing me talk about how I dislike this upcoming season when everyone is so excited so I will (mostly) skip that part 🙂 This is normally where I lose my momentum for reading, I think it’s partially due to the fact I feel overall less energy and much more lethargic so I’m trying to keep…

Review: Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson
Review: Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson
[book-info] I spent a large majority of my reading time last year devoted to thrillers and more specifically, adult thrillers so this year (still definitely in a thriller kick) I wanted to try my hand at some young adult picks. I saw Truly, Devious while browsing on Edelweiss one day and knew immediately that I had to read it as soon as I read it took place in a boarding school. I’d say If I had…

March 2018 TBR
Well now that my TBR-free February has come and gone, I’m doing another TBR for March. This is more of a guideline as I will probably change some of these but so far, this is what I have. I’m trying to get my library hold queue read through and then I’m hoping to take a few months away from library books and read my own backlist. I only have a few more holds to come in after this file so I’m sure…

February 2018 Book Haul
February 2018 Book Haul
Hi 🙂 Happy March! I’m so, so sad February is over and Spring is just on the horizon. I am the exact opposite of most people; while they cannot wait for Winter to be over, I’m dreading it to be. I wish I lived in a place of perpetual Winter and cold, I would thrive in that environment. Anyway, that’s not happening so I just have to suck it up because Spring is coming regardless. I hope I get a few…

January 2018 Wrap Up
Well, Hello February 🙂 I LOVE February so I am SO happy it is here. It’s one of the coziest months for me because it’s cold and snowy (my favorite weather) and I spend the majority of the month bundled up inside. The downside to the start of this February is that it appears I am developing some kind of sickness, a cold or something (which explains why this wrap up is going up SO late!). I’m…
