ooo okay okay just had an idea for a wtnv au ^^ give me a few and i'll get some notes on it up!

- upon arriving, purpled decided to build a ufo (or fix up their crashed one) to feel more at home

- tubbo decided to embrace the local habitat so went for a house made of logs and wood

- fundy just started collecting items immediately because. well. he really liked those foxes!

- they were the original users of the socialising club, right? so let’s say that just started out as a family reunion sorta place and they renamed it to hide their whole alien backstory

- anyone else pls contribute i actually love this idea

tommy as the crown prince

tubbo as the powerful magician who doubles as the prince’s manservant

techno as the king who doesn’t like magic

phil as the physician who knows about magic and must put up with the magician’s many antics

ranboo as the king’s ward with his own few secrets

wilbur as someone who works in the palace but is really good friends with the royals somehow

dream as the dragon

george as a librarian

jack and sapnap and others as knights

tubbo is our resident magician, who came over from his village in the outskirts where he previously lived with his father, the captain. he’s looking for a good place to work and phil, court physician, knows more about magic than anyone back in the village, so... well, the phil household now has a child in it, and the child regularly performs highly illegal magic

phil thinks tubbo is a dumbass for using his powers so openly in a place where the no magic rule is actually enforced - he’s kinda right, because there’s more than a few close calls

he meets wilbur out in the marketplace while buying a lute and the two become friends, before tommy swoops in out of nowhere and steals wilbur’s money to buy himself something. of course, this was just a familiar routine for tommy and wilbur, as the two know each other well, but tubbo doesn’t know this and shouts for tommy to return the money while wilbur facepalms in the background

there’s a slight argument which culminates in tommy almost ordering for tubbo’s arrest, but wilbur manages to explain the whole situation. tubbo, not having known tommy was literally crown prince, just sort of. stands there. he did not know many princes back where he was from, and this one seems a little rude to him

later, phil gives him a stack of books with old myths so he can ‘train’ (see: not cause trouble for a few hours). he befriends a few people around the castle, including the ever-tired librarian george and a knight called sapnap

that evening, he is out fetching some leaves from the nearby woods for some potion phil is making, when he overhears a conversation between some hooded figures discussing... well, apparently killing the crown prince? and tubbo doesn’t like tommy too much at this point, but he doesn’t really want to just stand by and let assassination just happen, so he runs back to warn phil

thankfully, the group are apprehended and imprisoned and the king comes to personally meet tubbo and scope out the boy as a potential guard for this apparent loyalty (they are missing a lot of guards since a lot of them died due to, well, magical attacks). tubbo is not guard material. instead, seeing that he is about tommy’s age, the king employs him to be the prince’s manservant. oh, and the king’s name is techno, and seems awfully familiar with phil?

over time, tommy and tubbo actually start to get along, though tommy refuses to admit it and tubbo is an absolute gremlin with teasing him about it. the number of magical attacks on the palace decreases very suddenly, but surely that’s a coincidence, right? this young boy who always seems to drop whatever he’s holding can’t possibly be anything to do with it, right?

tubbo keeps asking phil if he can tell tommy it’s actually him getting rid of the countless people who try to kill the royals every other day, but phil insists it’s too dangerous

one day, tubbo accidentally witnesses one of the knights, jack, use magic to kill an animal attacking him. however, he’s not the only one - tommy sees as well and tells techno, who immediately orders the knight’s execution. tubbo watches, horrified, as jack is shot from behind by one of the guards as he is walking back home. looks like he really can’t tell anyone about his own magic

jack doesn’t fully die, actually, but the main cast don’t know that yet. a spy for the druids - niki - rescues him and quickly heals him and sends him away to be safe with the druids she knows

meanwhile, tubbo starts to feel a little stressed, what with the work of phil, tommy and fending off magical attackers while also hiding his powers. by ‘a little stressed’ i mean he just falls asleep in the most random of places for five minutes at a time, and it’s not exactly doing wonders for his health considering he almost dies every other day

he also befriends techno’s ward, ranboo, around this time. the other boy spends a lot of time in his room, reading about politics and traditions in the kingdom, bored and not as interested in physical training and war as tommy is. tubbo tells him about how his village is a lot more relaxed about magic and the law, and ranboo is surprised to hear that tubbo doesn’t... actually hate sorcerers? after a few weeks, he confides in tubbo, telling him that sometimes he wakes up from strange nightmares with strange words written on his arms and with his room a little rearranged. tubbo figures it’s some form of magic that occurs during his dreams, affecting the world around him

he wants to tell ranboo about his own magic, but phil says n o because ranboo has the protection of techno while tubbo absolutely does not

there’s a dragon hiding in the basement called dream, and he’s a little tricky and annoys tubbo with his ramblings of how tommy is so very important to letting him regain his control over the lands, but nobody knows quite as much about magic so tubbo goes with it and visits when he needs help. dream, upon hearing about ranboo, laughs. no help there. thanks, buddy /s

one day, a young druid called fundy appears near the castle and wilbur overlooks the entire magic-is-banned thing in order to adopt him. luckily for all those involved, techno does not recognise fundy as a magician, and now fundy’s hanging out with the others too

fundy has heard a lot about myths about tubbo so figures out that he’s a magician pretty quickly, and keeps telepathically telling him about cool tricks he’s learning. tubbo sends enthusiastic encouragement back or sometimes just complaints about his work. they get along pretty well, it turns out, and tubbo is glad to have a magician he can confide in. phil is just a bit annoyed because of all the dumb antics they get up to

eventually, techno finally figures out what fundy is and the gang organise an escape while techno is eating a dinner in celebration of having caught a druid. tubbo, the one person who techno doesn’t eat dinners with, smuggles him out of the prison towards someone fundy says can be trusted to take them to the druids. it’s niki! she’s back! they go to the druids and tubbo is shocked to see a very alive jack. one druid called eret is quick to welcome fundy back, apparently being his adopted father, and tubbo leaves with the pleasant knowledge of knowing a few druids who also know who he really is and are willing to help out in the future

more antics and adventures, and tommy constantly insisting he has a girlfriend somewhere in town, and more things Occur

the captain calls tubbo back to his village to deal with some ‘imposters’ (ie people stealing food from the general storage a g a i n). he asks how things are, and tubbo is glad to say it’s all good. ranboo comes to collect him because apparently tommy wanted him back, and makes good friends with crumb, the captain’s younger child. bunkbedcast ftw

eventually, tubbo and ranboo return and stop halfway to fight a random griffin-moster-thing. sleep deprived and a little high on healing potions, the pair decide to get married right there

tommy hears about this when they arrive and doesn’t talk to ranboo for a week for ‘stealing his servant’. it’s all in good fun, though :)

that’s all i have for now, just general antics and the occasional druid visit (feat wilbur and eret adoption battles while fundy sets up pranks for both of his dads in the background)

possible adoption arc for yet another tiny druid called michael but this time with tubbo and ranboo, but i’d categorise that for when tommy gets to reign

i have some incorrect-quote-ish art which i may post later :D but that’s just for fun really :)

ok i hear you and i did anticipate this (a lot of dsmp aus tend to jump to dnf in some form which makes sense but also does get tiring when george simply does not exist in the plot enough for me to justify it) but!! i am relying on a lot of dynamics and roles here and i feel george might not fit that trope? he’s not really done much in character, especially not in any way that points to persephone’s character...

i would love to contest the point on making george the king and causing conflict ‘in his name’ because from what i can see that seems to be a lot more of a ‘finding excuses to exert control over another character’ type beat which places george more as a pawn and etc etc, but i am focusing on aus here rather than my many many tiny opinions and interpretations alskcdjfvg

i vanished for a while earlier but i’m back now!! expect a few more posts over the next few days :)

ok hear me out, hear me out, yeah?

-dream as hades, because i think that would fit and also other reasons which will become clear shortly -ranboo as eurydice because it kinda makes sense, i think? the moving along, the voices maybe mirroring that one song where hades talks directly to her -and nothing makes a very sudden wedding proposal like having tubbo as orpheus (who also would fit because he Does have music as a big thing right now, right?) -do i even need to say that this is not romantic at this point or have we reached that stage where it’s not necessary anymore? either way, dropping that here because this is platonic, kiddos -hermes? well, listen, this really depends on one line for me. you know in Any Way the Wind Blows, that line ‘sometimes they abandon you’? yeah, that could fit the dadschlatt au o r philza i guess if you look at semi-canon or whatever is happening. how does this relate? well, also the line ‘his mother was a friend of mine’ so yknow- -if the former, quackity would work very well, but the latter could be wilbur tbh -this is going to be controversial - and don’t murder me, dnf shippers /hj - but as persephone maybe sapnap? idk, the vibes dude -wait also ‘took him under my wing’ is winning me over and maybe i’m more firm on the choice of quackity as hermes…? anyway -the fates would be uhhhhhhh god idk, the sbi? lmao -no but more seriously, it would be dope to see the fates as like, bad, ant and sam maybe, because those badlands were making chaos from long ago -the ending makes me sad :( and with that thought, i have lost my creative potential

this concept could go one of two ways:

-the dreamon hunters began as associates, knowing each other somewhat but not necessarily being close. not until the Hunt, that is, when they slowly form a team to combat the demons that are beginning to be revealed in their lands. from there, they slowly grow as a team and as individuals, finding a family on their adventure to fight the invaders of their friends. bAM found family!!

-OR completely in the opposite direction, where this is just childminding gone wrong and waY too over the top, but hey, the kid’s having fun, and so are we

or i guess you could mix both together and say it begins as a day hanging out and looking after the slightly feral kid but wait, he’s kind of got a point? and wait, is that an actual dreamon? what? and oops, i guess it’s time for them to stand up and fight against this now

but hear me out, right? if we place him as juliet and tubbo as romeo (god this pains me to type but i swear it’s just for one exact scene) you know that part at the end with one being ‘dead’ and then coming back to life? yeah, pop in the idea of tubbo being so distraught at the prison death that he pulls a romeo and - yeah no i think you get the idea lmao

this worked badly in my head and in writing! but hey, just a potential parallel for that one universe where this plot point happens

star trek au part 2

we left off at an election, so let’s hop back in!

-the voters turn out to be a combination of many fleet captains and commanders, who are deemed most suitable to pick an appropriate captain for this ship -the candidates who apply are wilbur (who originally captains the ship during its time on the run), fundy (who has been wanting to raise his importance on the ship for a while, especially since the ‘pet war’ of this au), quackity (another prominent member of the fleet who is known for his skills at diplomacy), and schlatt (a businessman who has decided to take advantage of the flexible hold the fleet command has on the symphony) -it’s very clear wilbur is in the lead, as he has been doing very well so far and has the charisma to go with the role, though behind the scenes quackity decides to convince schlatt to pool votes with him if they don’t win - he really really wants some element of control in this new and exciting opportunity of a ship -you know how the story goes. wilbur appears to have won, but then the pooling of votes gives schlatt the slight advantage -he has plans. big plans. he wants to expand his business, using the ship to control the flow of products and command others to take part in his scheme. there’s one main person in his way, one person who could be a true threat to his plot -well, two people -and so, the first chance he gets, he gets some of the new security members of the ship to kick out wilbur and tommy and leave them on the first deserted island they find, completely without resources -realising that the new role that his ship has gained has caused them to lose that unique quality of freedom that had made the ship special in the first place - the quality that once drove the entire purpose of the ship - he begins to overthink the entire decision he had made by taking the fleet’s offer -tommy, stuck with him, is a little more than worried when his brother figure starts talking about destroying their ship in order to save its entire purpose -and he’s also, uh, very confused -meanwhile, schlatt’s business is booming, niki gets sent to another ship because she protests schlatt’s mission, fundy is recording logs of all the illegal tactics schlatt is using, and tubbo is balancing helping schlatt with his paperwork and spying for wilbur and also sneaking off to an entire abandoned planet a bunch of times -eret is just vibing. they try not to let everything go to shit, ensure wilbur and tommy still have food, and provide a peaceful place to stay when their allies decide to take a break -and it’s all fine and great until the captain of their old ship lands on wilbur’s planet, alone and armed only with a huge crate of explosives...

star trek au part 1

i’m not very heavily invested in this fandom and am only on season two of the original series so please don’t get mad if i’m wayyy off with this /hj

but hey! this one allows for different species!

-they’re a bunch of young people out here exploring the universe and all its oddities! just a ragtag crew of tommy, tubbo, wilbur, fundy and eret :) -they broke off from a larger ship because they felt its rules didn’t quite work for them, and they wanted to do more than just observe. they wanted to help -they spend quite a while just trying to prevent their origin ship from catching up to them, meeting new friends and other planets on the way -after a few skirmishes, they manage to escape thanks to eret’s secret weapon - a huge photon blaster they set up in case things went south years ago. no betrayal in this au :) -now, on the run but free at last, the ship establishes themselves among known ships in the universe as the symphony -it’s all going well, and they pick up others such as jack and niki along the way, other aliens who want to join in on their adventures -fundy and niki adopt a little abandoned creature they found on a war-torn planet that roughly resembles a fox and call it ‘fungi’, and soon get very very attached -tommy laughs at them for getting attached to random creatures, before promptly doing so himself with a larger creature that he named henry -the ship begins to gain respect as a ship of its own right, separate from the rest of the fleet, and due to this their origin ship eventually track them down - or, at least, a few members of them -the first attack is from sapnap, who was a member of security back in their origin ship and sees them milling out in a market on a larger planet completely by accident one day. he is unsure as to whether or not to turn them in, seeing as life is somewhat less... chaotic without them questioning every action they made, and the captain doesn’t even seem to care about getting them back anymore. eventually, he decides to ask, and heads back to his small ship he was visiting using. on the way, while debating the options and feeling more and more on edge after seeing his old crewmates, he sees fungi and kills the poor creature, half by accident. for a moment, he freezes, but that’s all it takes for tommy to catch him over the corpse and start shouting -a small war between sapnap and the symphony, mostly attacking resources and small creatures they have picked up along their paths, ensues. in the end, they have a short duel between fundy and sapnap, the latter winning. feeling somewhat vindicated for his own losses, he returns all that he had taken and leaves with no further hard feelings -the adventures and misadventures of the small crew continue, until the commander of their old fleet quite suddenly catches up to them and strikes a deal with wilbur - no longer being chased in exchange for them joining the fleet again. as it turns out, their reputation had been passed around, and they were wanted by their old employers once more with the special condition of being able to decide their own missions -of course, they accept, and all they need to do it return is establish their ship command according to procedure. that is, via a vote, an election of sorts...
