anyway you should always remember that all those foreigners you see dying on the news are just as real people as you are who have just as much interiority as you do. there is nothing about you that makes you more important and it is by pure chance that you are not in their position. in fact, this holds for all of history. every person, no matter the horror of the fate that befell them, had just as much interiority as you do. i feel like some people haven't fully internalized this.

i know that this is a rly big stray from my usual posts, but ive come on today to talk about the ICE situation happening throughout la, chicago, california, etc.

almost millions of families are being torn away from each other in the most inhumanes way and it makes me feel sick seeing videos of arrests and so many different creators on here staying silent about it and not using there platforms to spread awareness. ice has unjustifiably targeted schools, car washes, libraries, home depots and hardware stores. these raids are disruptive, discriminating and overall destabilising communities throughout america. instead of protecting everyone as they were originally introduced to do, ice is spreading fear and is treating real people with hatred simply because of the country the were born in.

my heart goes out to each and every single one of the victims of the deportations and their families. words alone cannot describe the amount of pure disgust and hurt ive felt reading about your stories these past few weeks, and im so unbelievably sorry for everything you’ve gone through. 💞
