Resource for new Bungo Stray Dogs fans so you don't go insane like I did making this lol. Could also be for longtime fans, idk, I'm not new at this point. I just have only watched the anime and read like one novel

Anyways, here's all the story arcs (in narrative chronological order) and which media forms they're in and when those media forms came out -- for the books: not always the official publishing date because sometimes they come out special first before proper printing. My info is up to date as of April 15, 2025 but admittedly mostly taken from the wiki and organized into this!

Now you never have to ask "which came first the manga or the novel?" again lol. Or in the one weird case, the anime movie?

Key:

Blank/White = doesn't have the thing

Green = has the thing

Blue = has the thing and the thing was first

Red = specifically for Azure Apostle because they messed it up that bad with where they put it in the anime

AniWA BSD Panel Chaos

Posting about AniWA again over a month later bc I'm a mess and also who's gonna stop me. Feat. the Bungo Stray Dogs panel, which included (for the purpose of these clips) English VAs Jamieson Price (Fukuzawa Yukichi), Landon McDonald (Edogawa Ranpo), and Nicolas Roye (Nakahara Chuuya).

Highlights according to me:

Cast members were asked about their hobbies and Roye proceeded to talk about pinball for over 5 minutes straight (yes, I started timing it lol)

Tangentially related to this, McDonald started talking about how he's a fan of Twin Peaks and recently visited where it was filmed -- this was relevant since he saw a cool pinball machine in a local bar. This was also wild to me because sir that is way too close to my out-of-the-way small town for you to just appear so casually

In other news, Roye whipped out Chuuya's rich girl line from Dazai's kind-of-kidnapping in Season 1 with so little prompting because he just likes doing it

An excellent fan interaction:

Fan: "Can I ask about another anime--" Price, loudly and doing Fukuzawa's voice: "NO" (clearly the real answer was yes but it was still hilarious imo)

When asked about whose Ability they would want, McDonald said he would want Poe's Ability while Roye said the "Corruption scream." Not Tainted Sorrow, not Corruption. Just the scream he gets to voice for it (... is someone going to tell him he kinda already has that power?)

Price had no idea that the BSD characters were based on real authors when he started in BSD. McDonald, on the other hand, actually already enjoyed the works of the real-life Edogawa Ranpo in relation to Sherlock Holmes

Tour video 2, except this time it's kind of an unboxing? I sure am taking them out of the box and there's crinkly noises during some of it along with the music. IDK, I'm having fun!

Today we've got Mononoke: Karakasa / Mononoke: Phantom in the Rain button pins, specifically the Botania collection from Arma Bianca. They're so cute, I got the Bungo Stray Dogs ones too and they just arrived, so I'll probably do a similar video with those.

(This vid was made around the time of my first one, it just malfunctioned the first time I tried to post, so it's still very amateurish. I'm using YouTube now to make uploading easier!)

AniWA 2025 Mini-Haul

Went to my first con over the weekend, so here's what I brought home from Anime Washington 2025 on Saturday! I only went for the one day -- a "get my feet wet" experience -- but I will absolutely be going to more cons in the future!

Starting strong with the amazing posters I got signed from the tables for Dazai Osamu's English VA Kaiji Tang and Nakahara Chuuya's English VA Nicolas Roye! (I decidedly did not have enough money to get stuff from more than a couple guest tables, so I chose these guys over the Bleach English VAs that were there since I watch Bleach subbed and Bungo Stray Dogs dubbed -- maybe someday!)

I get really excited about merch for media I'm obsessed with and I never have enough people to scream about it with...

So now I'm doing tour videos! This one is just the new English hardcover release of Heaven Official's Blessing Vol. 1, which is SO PRETTY. I got into the series this past year via the donghua and then the novel itself, and didn't own any of the books, so with the help of a bookstore gift card I'm starting my collection!

(Fair warning, the vid is long, slow, and amateur with stock music and my holiday decor in the background... also an old saw bc I'm living in a literal barn right now lol)
