hi, this is neve asking from the EU

i live in a place where top surgery is not a surgery done here. i’d need to go out of the country.

but like… how does that work? i assume you find a reputable surgeon first but then like, i don’t have a citizenship in every other country, i don’t know if health insurance here applies to the whole EU, and i’d preferably like to return to the country where i reside soon after… can airport people (it’s 5am forgive me) spot check you and deny you access from entering a plane because of your binder and surgery stuff? would you just rent in the country until your drains are out. HOW DOES THIS WORK.

this is pretty much the conclusion I've come to with my parents. they're 54 and 56, I'm 16, and they're super phobic of like, everything. the only thing that could change their minds at this point is their love for me. i just doubt it's strong enough.

need a polite way to say "im not engaging in a discussion on this topic with you because the conclusions you have reached are based on so many interwoven layers of misconceptions it would be easier to just like, hard reset your whole brain, just start over as a baby and try again"

i found these labels after looking up aroace microlabels after realising i definitely wasn’t allo and related too much to aroace people.

this was super recent as beforehand i’d been using ftm and gay as the only labels for 6 YEARS. so adding these 3 new labels like a month ago feels odd!

I totally get the sentiment of this post, and I do love what the message it's trying to convey is, but I've always felt off about this take. (for reference, I'm demiromantic, demisexual, and gray-A.)

In my view, aphobia says that us aspec people are broken because we can't find our 'other half'. but according to this view, allo people are the ones that are broken for 'needing another half'.

if anything, the whole "other half" stuff is kind of bs to me and perpetuates a harmful narrative. NONE of us are broken. NONE!! whether we want/need a person (or people) to accompany us or not, and no matter in what ways we want that company. whether it be sexual, romantic, platonic, whatever.

we're all wholes. some of us just want company. none of us are broken. none of us are halves of a whole.

and yes, as I said, I do get the point of the post, but it always rubs me the wrong way.

Contrary to the idea that aromantic people are broken I actually feel more whole because of my aromanticism. I mean if your significant other is supposed to be your "other half" and I'm not wired to fall in love with anyone then that basically means I'm a fully complete person on my own

i don't care how uncomfortable you are around cis men, queer cis men still need places to go, and sometimes, those spaces will be shared with yours. disabled and neurodivergent queer men and queer men of color especially need a place to go. the queer community isn't the "fuck cis men" community. that is the rad fem community. if you think cis men and people who read as cis men are inherently "too scary" or shouldn't be allowed in queer spaces, you joined the wrong community.

though to be fair that is kind of the point of my novel. they are—in the literal sense—restricted.

Do you ever write a sentence and then realize “Nah, that’s too self aware for you” and backspace a bunch of times.

does anyone else tense their muscles as a stim when they're frustrated????? this is by far my most common stim but i never see it mentioned anywhere...

like i freeze my limbs where my joints are and tense them because that causes a minimal amount of pain/discomfort/release of tension

I do it for like 2-10 seconds and then unfreeze and then freeze again

I would like to sincerely apologize to the people who were up last night waiting for my fic. I was running on 46 hours of being awake, with no caffeine, and I was just about losing it. I had started some of the fic, and then I woke up this morning, so I guess I fell asleep. Once again, I sincerely apologize that my choices of not sleeping affected my posting time, and I WILL get it posted before tonight! My advice: Sleep. Get the sleep before IT GETS YOU.
