blood on the clocktower jargon/culture is really funny to me if you try to apply to real life. every claim of yours end with “but i could be drunk or poisoned”. people give each other three possible jobs they could be and are expected to provide fake info these potential jobs give. people go into the town square and immediately take turns juggling. people hurriedly throw their friends on the town guillotine just so they can have more time to speak before the day ends. going around confidently declaring“i’m looking for a virgin”. some poor guy waking up going “yeah guys i saw a widow last night :( just a scary spider outside my window”. no one in town trusts you because you didn’t pass the noble’s vibe check. you finally go fishing on day three to see what advice the fish will tell you. clockmakers hopping onto the guillotine begging for death.

Today is day 24 of the Transvent Calendar! If you don't know what that is, I tagged the original post. After today, there's only the equivalent of a week left of the calendar, so I'm going to tell the story of the first time I was ever clocked. This was before a lot of this, before this blog, before nails, before hair removal, hell I'd barely started on this track. I had a proper beard and I had just come off work, so I was pretty much wearing what you'd expect a tradie to be wearing: high-vis jacket, steel cap boots, etc. So I go into a feminine clothing store (at the risk of outing myself to a random retail worker, it was Ally Fashion) and I was looking for a cute skirt... The cashier or whatever comes up to me and at first comes from the angle of I'm going to help this guy find what he's looking for for his friend or whatever but then she looks at me and goes "is it for you?" Like ????? How did- wh- huh?!?! Like, yes it was and she help me find something in my size and recommended things that she thought I might like but what the fuck? Like, how did you know? And the confidence to just straight up put it out there; how was I supposed to take it if you were wrong??? You weren't, but like... do we have a look or something? It wasn't my clothing, I just got off work. And again, physically I was just "generic beardo", how did you-???? In any case, my 24th "sign" is the fact that I've been clocked more than once. I had a really good one for tomorrow, but I forgot, so I hope I remember it or think of something else that's decent. Until next time <3
