Childe's involvement had undoubtedly aided in their path to victory when the prophecy had come to full swing. Nevertheless, it did not go past the prima donna that he too was an innocent bystander. Along with the gifts, flowers, and offers to pay for his medical expenses after battling the All-Devouring Narwhal, she asked Childe to visit Fontaine whenever he fully recovered to soothe the situation and personally apologize.

"Childe, thank you so much for coming to Fontaine." Furina quickly stands from her seat at the Café Lutece to greet the Snezhnayan. Despite her nervousness apparent from the way her words wavered, she continues, "I am glad to see that you are well. Y-you must be hungry! Please sit and join me for some lunch."

Though none of it was truly her responsibility, it still did not feel right for the adeptus to sit idly by and watch the nation that had so generously taken her in suffer. Qing'er may be powerless to aid in ways that truly moved the Heavens but there are still matters she could take into her own hands- with a little bit of help, of course.

It is with this resolve in mind that the well-dressed lady made her way down the cobbled stone steps towards the esteemed Champion Duelist.

"Lady Clorinde. I was hoping to seek your assistance in some matters. Would you be so kind as to join me for a spot of tea at Cafe Lutece?"

"Things are only unfixable if you believe they are. Anything can be fixed with the right attitude. Of course, the right tools make it easier too.” Holly joked, holding up the pair of screwdrivers in a clamp that she was currently using in substitute of a socket wrench. She was always such an optimist. Always choosing to look at things for what they could be rather than what they weren’t. She refused to use the term never, stubbornly insistent that anything was possible. It was something that she could tell Rosalind admired. Of course, she appreciated the dose of realism every now and then, but too much of realism sounded an awful lot like pessimism.

“And anyways, a little doohickey like this one ain’t so tough. It’s just a matter of making sure the right bolts and nuts are in the right place and tightening it all up. No big deal.” Holly hummed, noticing Rosaling seemed to be struggling a little with tightening the bolts on her side. Holly smiled and came up behind her, gently placing her hands over Rosie’s hands and guiding their placement to get the best leverage. “Easy now. Don’t grip it so hard or you’ll cramp the muscles in the hand.” One hand trailed up her arm slowly, resting on her shoulder. “Now tighten your arm, pull from the shoulder. Twist your waist if you need to for extra strength.”

Holly felt the way Rosalind’s breath hitch as her hands fell to the smaller woman’s waist. She chuckled a bit, whispering in her ear. “It’s okay. I’m right here. Go ahead.” She waited a moment for Rosalind to inhale and finally twist. Sure enough, it worked like a charm and the bolt was tightened perfectly. She sighed with relief, both from the job finally being done and from the new space between her and Holly. “See? I knew you had it in you! You just needed to be more positive - look at it from a different perspective.”

Rosalind laughed softly at her praise, the apples of her cheeks flushed pink as she looked at her.

“you understand me better than anyone ever has. i’m starting to understand why that’s so terrifying.” 

Holly chuckled, rubbing the back of her neck. “Yeah, I guess breaking the mold is pretty scary sometimes. Trying new things knowing you could fail is something a lot of people are afraid of. They don’t wanna look stupid, even if no one’s watching.” Holly flopped down into a seat, reaching for a towel to wipe her brow with before draping it over her tanned shoulders. “It’s easy to look at things from the negative perspective, Ros. It’s easy to resign ourselves to the idea of ‘oh, it’s probably going to go wrong so why bother?’ I get it. Embracing the odds of something going wrong in any way an feel scary. Why risk it? Well, the answer is, without risk nothing ever gets done.”

Holly spun around in the seat. “Taking that leap is scary. But personally, I think it’s scarier that I might die regretting that I never saw the other side. Or that I didn’t try to get there. They say you miss 100% of the shots you never take. So just take them. Worst case scenario, you have to forge a new path ahead. And that’s always when the most exciting stuff happens.” She smiled warmly as she paused her spinning to look at Rosalind with a defined fondness in her eyes. “Don’t you think?”

Bioshock AU? Either Infinity or not? Bc in BI AU listen, Sonny as Elizabeth and Usnavi as Booker, idk who as the Lutece but maybe Nina and Benny? Like Usnavi sells Sonny as a baby to get the money to go back to DR and then goes to Columbia to find him but he doesnt remember anything... And in original Bioshock AU maybe Sonny as a grown up Little Sister? (Little brother? Or like the Big Sisters in BS2? Sonny as Eleanor?)

Well for starters we got a Bioshock 2 AU for ya 

So with that said, let’s check out Infinite. Considering that racial tension is a big part of this world…hoo boy, they’re in for a rough time. And ooooooh GOD the feels when Usnavi gets his memories about what he did to Sonny back! Oh my god, he’d be CRUSHED! Just a huge ‘What have I done?’ moment and he’d probably do everything he can to get Sonny back and promise to never leave him again so when they end the whole cycle of the alternate realities, Usnavi wakes up in a different time and Sonny is there and everything’s good.

           His tone makes Donn’s jaw stiffen. They lived it — it wasn’t just the Rhino who suffered on the Zarimon. It wasn’t just Gawain who felt the loss of loved ones.

“I know you know,” He spits, the smile remaining on his exhausted visage but any sense of tact leaving with every word. This isn’t how he wanted to wake up  —  not with Gawain belittling him, “We all know.”
