Drawing the ref sheet took a total of 21hrs and i am FINALLY done.

FYI, hes double mutated with a Manticore (a feathered one ofc, i wanted to draw bird wings <3)

Ive got a bit of a backstory noted down for him/how he got double mutated, and theres some cool ideas about him floating around in my brain.

Absolutely in love with how i drew the shell 👀 he looks so COOL.

The wings are between the shoulders and shell, they technically work pretty fine in that spot since hes a softshell turtle and thus waaayyy more flexible than his bros! Also, his Battleshell doesnt really fit on him now xD, and its not entirely needed anymore for protection since the mutation made his shell/skin allot stronger and tougher.

well, here’s the ref sheet of the multiverse’s dad for y’all

There isn’t really much I can think to say about them since I’m trying to keep ‘em as close to canon as possible

I suppose the only significant difference I can think of is how he views the other characters. It’s relatively similar, except his view on certain out code characters is somewhat skewed. For the better! He can recognize that they’ve broken away from their original script and often has an easier time interacting with them. However, this doesn’t negate his abrasive personality.

If it isn’t entirely clear, the nonsense on the right is Ink’s eye shapes and their correlating emotions. It’s mainly for me but y’all can use it as reference for upcoming comics to better grasp his current emotion!

I won’t make any promises on whether or not they’ll come out anytime soon, I’ve still gotta make Blueberry’s and Swap’s reference sheets!

I find it so interesting how Hazels concept art fluctuates between completely different from what we got and resemblance of the final desing. I read something about them focusing on making the characters desings fun, I think that translates very well on those.

Also theres was a chance of Hazel using glasses?! Just think about it!

Some Devil's Carnival AU info

With the new art posted Ive seen some people express interest in the AU and im :D!!! bc I have so much brainrot about this you guys have no idea. Also anyone is 100% very welcome to draw/write/whatever stuff about it and if you do I owe you my soul for real bc like I said Im unwell about it

So the general premise is pretty similar to the movies (specifically the second because the whole sending trains worth of sinners to heaven is what made me really think of Charlie as Lucifer's role) so if you've seen them you can pretty much figure out whats happening. If you havent I do recommend it bc theres a lot more than what I can put in a short tumblr post but a quick synopsis with this AU is just the devil (charlie) has a carnival to torture sinners in the first movie but at the end lets one up to heaven and decides to try and get as many sinners as possible up there, regardless of whether or not heaven accepts them. The second movie gets some setup of how heaven functions with its 7 castes and we get backstory on the painted doll character (vaggie) about how she ended up in hell. This AU has Charlie in charge of hell/Lucifer and Lilith both being absent also, but this is more charlie a little bit in her villian era working with the Vees instead of Alastor.

Val is very much the scorpion, Vel as the twin maybe, and Vox as the ticket keeper. I keep going back and forth with who's who as far as sinners go but definitely Angel as Tamara, and Im thinking cherri and pen as ms. merrywood and john respectively (partly for pen bc of him being the first in hazbin to get to heaven so it fits) (wanted to include these 3 specifically since technically i think they're the hotel's first 3 guests)

As far as heaven goes, Adam is god in this one as a counter to charlie with Lute as the Agent since I think it fits with her being his right hand man (but also fulfilling Cora's role bc this is a past fallenwings type of AU too and i think lute had something similar going on of having gay thoughts about vaggie she didn't know how to handle so she handled them badly). Vaggie is June/the painted doll bc it just fits so well.

This is also very much a chaggie centric AU bc of course it is so like after Vaggie fell she met Charlie and the two of them eventually end up together similarly to the actual show (i've drawn the progression of those 2 scenes from the movie now of vaggie post fall with the 'fair game' and 'after the fall' pieces + a bonus of them being a power couple and Lute is upset about it bc she fumbled Vaggie so bad)

May try to get out some ref sheets for the character designs like I did for the repo ones at some point but alas it may be a while bc I am unfortunately very busy rn 😔

I have never been asked this b4! :-O Im drawing at the moment so it wouldnt hurt to explain how i do my refs for example heehoo

First i shallablamkdabdomdb I Think. I brainstorm. Im like. How does this character behave and act towards their everyday surroundings. 🤔🤨.... and then im like BAM I GOT YOU NOW!!!!! Sooo for the ram , for example- shes around 17 and is like ,, Shes very messy yet energetic ,, a god of war at her age makes her very energetic and outgoing since she has all this power (and well i guess it doesnt help she has adhd but-) so i was thinking about her pose as something rlly silly and dynamic

As i got used to drawing poses it was actually smth i learned from a couple of my moots- one of my moots got a similiar ask like this nd i took it with a big bag of rice and RAN ,,, Its all about me wanting to make dynamic poses- im not the best at fluid bests For Now but IM GETTING THERE ,

But yes sorry; thinking about my poses, sketch it twice, begin linearting- but after i finish lineart, i create different layers of coloring because my brain (ocd) tells me things and if i dont do This Thag Way I Will Be Killed On Spot With A Nuclear Ray From The Sky

I do lineart first, draw the face over on another layer, do hair color first, then body color under the hair color,, after im finished with that i then go HEEERRRM. NOW. Does it deserve a little razzle dazzling? A little speckle spackle? Do i want to render it? Do i want to change the lineart color to highlight the characters main color scheme? Yap yap yap my process isnt ALWAYS like this but its usually that way-

For allure though i can use a good example for this- when drawing allure—if i want to line their hair with the darker beige—i create two more layers and then draw over their hActually this doesnt make any sense I MEAN. WELL. I COULD PROBABLY JUST SHOW THE TIMELAPSE. Oh yeah I overuse the undo and redo button as well as using a FUCK ton of references from pinterest

But heres what my canvas looks like atm :-] if i want to make size comparisons i lower the opacity of the finished art and sketch over that with how tall or small the character is- aaliyah here is the shortest and smallest so to make sure i did her height and body size right i use the transform tool to slide her across the grid and go "is she smaller than i made her ??? Is she TALLER than i made her?? Did i manage to do her body weight correctly???" Etc etc

For something like this i actually kept th sketch BWAHAHA- i didnt really feel like tracing over it again (at least more or so properly-) so i shrugged, went Fuck It, then made my sketch the lineart layer. I put the flat color beneath it afterwards, put Alpha Lock on so i can shade, and bada bing Bada Boom ,, background comes after everything else (BAD HABIT) (COMPOSITION AND PERSPECTIVE R HEAVILY INFLUENCED BY WHERE MY CHARACTER STANDS-)

Uhh what elseOhYeah if its a standalone sheet for me or a friend- i draw the two poses that come to mind first, write down all the information i was provided (eithet myself or a friend), and then draw anything else i want to next to the poses if theres space left,, this is my brothers lamb and so i went back nd forth asking doll if what was okay and what wasnt okay to add-

ABSOLUTELY YAPFESTING . SORRY. I HOPE SOME OF THAT MADE SENSE. I know this wasnt an advice ask but if people ever needed advice from me i usually fuck it up cuz my Very Own process confuses me sometimes-

I usually either take 1 hour or 2 days to finish something (yes im That chronically online and insane to draw for 48 hours straight without sleeping)

- MASTERPOST OF UNDERTALE BOUNDLESS - Undertale Boundless is basically just "What did the Bravery and Patience souls have to go through in the underground??" (I.e. Undertale Yellow)

Though I'm not sure what to do with this idea/concept (maybe some comics/songs/writing idkkk) I want to collect all my ideas together since things can get complex (sorta idk lets just move to the lore)

Siblings Roy (Bravery) and Hera (Patience) fall into a underground by accident while Roy was trying to find some rocks for his collection. They traverse the underground always a hair away from death, infact, Hera had to get a new ribbon because she lost her original one to a puzzle. Even though they seem like the undergound can gobble them up like a midnight snack, somehow together everything seems boundless to them. (GUYS I SAID IT!!!!!!! :O)

After leaving the ruins, their clumsiness becomes more apparent as they enter Snowdin.

To demonstrate , here is an artistic rendition of said clumsiness.

THE DEEPERGROUND - - - -

Luckily, some snow managed to break their fall and they had fell even deeper into the underground called, The Deeperground (A bit on the nose I know)

The deeperground is a more... neglected part of the underground. Since there's only a few entrances (that Hera and Roy were so lucky to find) it's easy for them to be looked over. Theres only a couple of royal guards there to even patrol the giant caverns. The monsters wait patiently for someone brave to help them reach the surface ... out of the deeperground, not the entire underground.

(Since most of this is mostly unfinalized, everything is very much subject to change)

thank youuuuuuuuuu <33 and the truth is. idk. i am kinda just winging it and making a lot of adjustments as i go.... im not very orderly about it and have my thoughts kinda all over the place. heres some examples under the cut w what process pics i could find

first did a pencil sketch for big shapes. was just placing stuff down. i wanted to make ref sheets for an art trade but didnt want to make a traditional type bc i hate drawing ppl standing full body (bc im bad at it 👍) also i did not have specific outfits in mind and was going more for a reference of the general vibe of the characters, so i just wanted a full body pose + face close up. to avoid having to show specific details. bc i was cheating. was originally going to have multiple text bubbles around for the character facts

did like two sketches digitally. messed around a LOT with placement. the little emote heads came out of me feeling like it was empty and boring on its own and they are fun to draw so why not include them. the multiple text bubbles seemed like a bad idea now so i took them out and just did one text wall.

i actually dont like the text wall now and think breaking it up wouldve been more fun visually but that would've required effort i didnt wanna put in LOL

^ i lost the pencil sketch for this one (i always do a pencil sketch) but it was actually just the two half body drawings at first with none of that shit at the bottom or the close ups until i was like fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk i gotta add smth around to make this look like theres stuff happening..... the idea was to draw the two main characters of the labb novel in some kinda comic format w panels around and i then. kept adding things until it seemed like i was getting somewhere. thats kind of my process for everything TT i think it helps to stay in a workshopping stage for longer if needed to get somewhere but i often get impatient LOL

im putting a stupid note abt this here bc im still annoyed at myself but in this novel, there was a bit about a crossword puzzle related to a murder case and i only thought of it afterwards that it would be kinda cool to put the sugar cubes in like a crossword puzzle formation....... why didnt i do that......

^ and heres some of the process for this one, but i lost a LOT of the steps for this. the beginning was totally different. the character wasnt as pathetic and scared looking at first but then i was like uhhhhh lets draw him that way :)

the first pencil draft was from a different perspective and it was gonna have a mirror composition to it kinda? but i wasn't able to make that look appealing so i deleted it. it still had the curtains tho but then i also included stuff with framed mirrors + other frames around

i decided to instead make the curtains be the focus of the whole piece to not make it so cluttered. character's pose was so different at first it was so bad i dont even wanna remember it. i took out the frames entirely bc i didnt think they added much to the piece in terms of the atmosphere. since like. the more i worked on it w the character's + the goat's expressions the more it gave a 'being hunted' feeling to it and portrait frames dont fit that vibe. which feels funny bc u look at it and thats all u can think abt but i wasnt even gunning for that when starting out. BE FLEXIBLE. TRUST THE PROCESS.

2024 Queen Nightshade Ref Sheet

Finally a new official ref of Nightshade. Haven't drawn this gal in awhile since the last time I drew her. Now I kinda drew this yesterday but is posting this now bcs I nEeDeD tO SlEeP.

Btw if you didn't know about her: She was a woman originally named Lisa Mayori but she was a part of a experiment owned by her colleague which may have ended up in the old lab exploding. But then the experiment was successful however, since it has been 3-4 years she doesn't know much about human contact since last time so shes kinda still is learning but she is now taller & stronger. However she can still turn into her original form, but this human form is more like her true self while Nightshade is like a alternate personality of hers.

Under the "keep reading" part is her w/o cloak/cape (which is actually a part of her body but still-). (Plz don't murk this. THERES NOTHING SUS YOU GOOFUS, SHE IS LITERALLY A SLIME GIRL)

Now this is where her changes are fully seen. Yes I did infact change her markings bcs I kinda didn't like the old ones. (Also with the extra colors made things messy imo)
