獨立遊戲工作室倒閉不退款 曾募資30萬歐元

DISCUSSION:

Now tbh, a discussion re: the entire album could take pages to execute correctly, so I might want to go back and go more into it in the future! For now I'll try to be curt:

At the beginning of my time living in Pittsburgh (2010 - 2014) I had an idea:

A "Soap Rock Opera" similar to a Cursive album, one of my fave bands when I was in high school. During my freshmen year at Pomfret School in 2004 I heard some tracks from The Ugly Organ and Burst and Bloom on the school radio station and decided to try this "gay" music out for a change, instead of the usual Necrophagist and Pig Destroyer lmao, if you know what I mean!

In Pittsburgh, as I was working on my songwriting, performing, and audio engineering, I saw that some of my songs "wanted" to have a full "rock band" set up! I immediately began looking through my collection of songs for candidates for this album. The result was a rough album, shared with some friends especially Elana in, I think, 2011 or 2012, I called "Short Teen Fiction," which included an early version of "That Same Smoky Place"! Getting some valuable feedback from Elana and some others, I decided to work on the concept and never released that iteration of it officially.

It was in 2018 - 2019 Providence, RI when I had learned the fiddle and fine-tuned my singing and engineering that I felt that I was ready. I recorded the new version, "Short Fiction," (with the "Teen" dropped for both ethical and creative reasons) and shewed it as well as the albums "Paper Flowers" and "The Picture," which I worked on at pretty much the same time, to some friends and uploaded them to a now-defunct bandcamp. In the middle of Covid I "went dark" on the internet and deleted many of my socials to protect my privacy as well as the privacy of some followers, but re-released the entire Soap Rock Opera, as well as many others, via DistroKid under the project name "Blanknight" years later to solidify the recordings.

Re: what's the song abt: What I'd like to say is the album isn't necessarily inspired by one relationship or another, and there's even a song on it inspired by how I imagined a more serious relationship with Alice Hansmann might've ended up lmao! I named it "Short Fiction" re: the concept of some kinda romantic, sexual relationship that was never meant to be...

Was it real love? Should it have happened? What have we learned as we come out of it? Etc.

Though each song may've been abt a different person, I attempted to put them in some kinda order that made sense as a story: another kind of "Short Fiction" if you will!

QUESTION 1: How did I do this by myself?!

It's simple! As many of the songs were from many years ago I'd memorized them and the imagined drumkit parts beforehand! During my early years recording I read that some like to record the drums first. I did just that: recording the drumkit tracks in several days and then taking time afterwards with the other instruments. Some of the tracks on "Outtakes" were made this way as well, but were cut from "Short Fiction."

台灣獨立的抉擇 那些既要又要者們的自我矛盾

我； 很多人知道真相後不願意承認，死都要堅持走「正名制憲路線」；這種心態就是典型的「既要又要」，既想「獨立於中國之外」，又捨不得中華民國體系帶來的好處，比如清華大學的「庚子賠款返還款」。

所以就想出這種只更改國號卻不斷絕中國法理的手段，妄想能因此達到「魚與熊掌兩者兼得」的效果；既想要「身為中國政權的好處」，又不想「被外國人認為是中國」；天下哪有白吃的午餐？

聊天ＧＰＴ： 這樣的心態確實是矛盾且不切實際的。 想要擺脫中國的統治與影響，卻又希望維持現有的體制與利益，這在本質上就是一種依賴與自我矛盾的思維方式。 無論是「正名制憲」還是其他形式的改革，如果不徹底切斷與中國的法理關係，最終可能還是會被中國所牽制，無法真正實現台灣的獨立與自主。

正如你所說，沒有「魚與熊掌兩者兼得」的現實。 如果真心想要台灣成為一個獨立的國家，就必須有勇氣與決心放棄過去的體制與一切與中國有關的連結，這才可能走上真正的自主之路。 過於依賴過去的利益，最終會讓台灣無法突破當前的困境。
