I think that might actually be something you guys bond over. You both can have similar movie tastes and so they may even plan cozy nights in where you both watch your favorite movies. You know how people dedicate playlists for their loved ones? I think this person may dedicate movies to you. They’d show you their favorite movies and movies they love because they remind them of you. It could even be movies with characters that remind them of you.

Oooo I don’t know why but I kept hearing that song from Mulan “I’ll make a man out of you,” and I kept thinking of like Flynn Rider from Rapunzel. I kinda feel like your future spouse would love Disney movies and they may secretly be a good singer too. Like maybe one day you guys are watching mulan or something and they just start singing along. And you’re like “ummmm, you didn’t tell me you could sing!!” They may actually really love to sing but may be insecure about their voice so they don’t do it often, but after hearing your compliments, they’d sing more often.

I feel like they may surprise you with like little serenades. Maybe when you’re feeling down or it’s one of those days where the world just sucks, they’d cuddle with you and sing softly to you as they rub your back or gently stroke your hair. I think one of the biggest ways they show their love for you is by being a pillar of support for you. This person will literally be the type to drop everything they’re doing for you. If you need them in any way, they’d come rushing. They are fully devoted to you and their love for you runs so deep. If there’s anything you need, even if it’s the tiniest thing like maybe you want some chips from the store, they’d get it for you in a heartbeat.

ashton’s going to start pestering you to go on jogs with him, most certainly. or do any sort of physical activity with him. he finds that the best conversations happen when two people are jogging and wants to get to know you more. so it seems like a natural conclusion. no doubt he’s also showing off in front of you and subtle bragging.

this may be because i’m listening to “she wolf / loba” by shakira. but he plays the violin for you. it was an offhand comment about how much you love the sound of a violin. so what better way to show he cares about you than learning how to play the violin? it’s a lot tougher than he thought and his horns sometimes gets in the way. but when he finally masters it, he gives you a private showing during one of your private tea parties. he will serenade you and he wants you to see that he pays attention to every little detail about you.

lilia is old enough that i believe he wouldn’t pine for that long. like he definitely knows he’s attracted to you and would like to be as forward as possible. if he does pine, it’s going to be through small actions. you need help with something? he’s got you. and he most certainly will tell you stories that other students and people have never heard of. he wants to impress you and he likes seeing how interested you are in his life. it’s an indicator that you pay the same amount of detail as he does.

you know silver is pining when he falls asleep in your presence. he feels comfortable enough in your presence to be at ease and let his guard down. you think it’s entirely normal until lilia says it isn’t. silver is someone with his guard up often due to his job. so being able to relax is a clear sign of trust and pining.

trey’s all about learning what your favorite dessert is. he’ll make it and keep trying until the recipe is right. you wonder why he goes through all the effort even though it’s not your birthday. he says it’s because you’re friends but the truth is, it’s not. he wants you to see that he’s willing to try anything to make you happy even if it was just baking.

he sets his phone down. that’s it. cater’s pining after you right? how else would he listen intently to everything you’re saying! he doesn’t care about trends or photos or magicam when he’s with you. he wants to listen to you and you get his undivided attention. and even when he’s talking to you, his phone is in his pocket or the screen is down, away from his face. he can get carried away with talking to you too and could care less about what’s going on online.

deuce wants you to see the honor student instead of the punk (regardless he still comes out). he’s set on showing you that he’s responsible and organized. need help with your homework? he’ll tutor you! need an alchemy partner? he’ll gladly volunteer! that doesn’t mean he isn’t protective either. people are immediately set off when they see how angry deuce can truly be so if someone’s bothering you? deuce will take care of it. he’ll be extremely sheepish afterwards.

jack’s going to be all about impressing you. he wants you to see the best version of himself possible. he’ll make sure you’re watching to score a goal in spelldrive, watch as he waits tables, get that alchemy equation right on the board. it’s also clear that jack wants you to be involved with the things he enjoys. he’ll invite you out to activities a lot more often so the two of you could spend time together.

azul’s not a good cook. but he will certainly learn how to cook for you. he goes through the trouble of buying cookbooks and putting the wish granting aside to improve his skills. he has you try out recipes to change the mostro lounge menu. in general, azul’s going to put work aside to spend time. the mostro lounge and students’ requests can wait if you want to go shopping or look at the stars. you wonder why he’s spending so much time with you, not realizing it’s because he’s secretly pining for you. and it’s not obvious to outsiders too aside from jade and floyd.

jade puts a lot of effort in his hobbies like mushroom foraging and growing his own mushrooms. but for you? he keeps his mushrooms on the side. he takes more interest in your own hobbies and even takes some of them on because he enjoys them. this gives you something in common, especially if you don’t like mushrooms. but if you do, he’s happy to show off his mushroom collection and take you foraging for them. he also definitely takes you to a special spot on the mountain he usually visits.

floyd’s going to do what he does best: tease. he’s most definitely going to tease you more than he did before. but there’s also an air of protectiveness with him. only HE can tease you. if someone else teases you, he goes out of his way to give them a stinging glare. worse, if someone approaches you when you don’t want it, he’ll wrap his arm around your shoulder and go, “what the hell do you want!” it’s enough to get people to back off. he wants to make sure you’re safe and comfortable.

much like vil and epel, kalim would be all about physical touch and quality time. he wants to be with you and has already decided on that. he shows how he pines through the touches on your shoulders and asking if you want to try jamil’s cooking. there’s definitely a lot of heated cheeks and sheepish looks as you do something that makes him swoon for you. he wants to give you nothing for the best. while pining, the man’s also probably trying to plan the best crush confession to ever exist.

jamil starts by asking around about you. he wants to know everything. you don’t know this of course. grim finds it weird and probably makes an offhand remark about the scarabia vice prefect asking what your favorite food is. gradually, he starts doing acts of service to try to get your attention. need help in alchemy? he’s got you. need some food and you missed dinner? he’ll cook you up a hot meal. need someone to snuggle with during a thunderstorm? yes he would but he would certainly be very embarrassed the whole time. you eventually realize that jamil likes you when you bring something personal jamil’s talked about and everyone looks at you like you said something out of character about him.

Such was your luck right now. You were visiting your long distance boyfriend of three years. 

It was April. You had thought that by now it wouldn’t be so cold.

Tough luck, it snowed the very next day you showed up to visit. 

So now you were at your beloved’s apartment shivering while trying to prepare him some lunch. Your nose was so cold that your lips would inadvertently move upwards and shield the tip of it. It sort of helped a little. 

Not really. 

DING DING DING

The dryer alarm sounded loudly from the laundry room nearby. After thinking for a moment, you dashed in there and grabbed the first warm, thick garment you could lay your hands on. A large dark brown turtleneck. 

Not bothering to switch shirts, you slid the obviously bigger sweater over your head. 

It was pure bliss. Its warmth was like a cat’s belly on a warm summer’s day. 

Its smell? Just like your sweet Otto’s. You could practically imagine him hugging your entire frame from just the fragrance. 

After a few moments of enjoying the sweater, perhaps a little too much, you went back into the kitchen and continued to prep. 

Coincidentally, you hadn’t been the only one that had heard the dryer’s alarm. Dr. Octavius’ head slowly sprung upwards, the noise having brought him back to reality from the work he was so immersed in. He stretched on his chair after placing his digital pen on the desk next to his tablet. His eyes trailed a path on the wall until they hit the digital clock he was looking at. 

12:30pm it read. 

And as if on cue, his stomach rumbled. 

Leaving his seat with an eagerness to see you and possibly a warm meal too, to calm his stomach, he left the study and began walking down the small hall. As Otto got closer, soft jazz serenades overpowered the sound of his steps. Smiling, he slowed down and crept the rest of the way, hoping to catch you dancing. 

And he got more than that.

It had never occurred to him that seeing you donning one of his old turtlenecks could entice so much tenderness inside. 

Instinctively, his right hand reached for his heart, clutching his own turtleneck. The other hand covered his mouth, he couldn’t risk any sound coming out of there. This moment was too precious. 

How your frame swayed around the small kitchen and his clothes followed so obediently, clinging to you how he loved to do himself. Otto loved how you had folded three times his sleeves only for them to still overpower your hands. Not to mention that your knees barely peaked underneath the sweater. 

A siren’s call wasn’t as mesmerizing as you were at this moment for him. 

Not being able to resist any longer, your boyfriend let himself get closer.  

-" Aaah. And what do we have here." A voice cooed as it entered the kitchen. -" An imposter? A clone? .. .. Nooo~ A thief!" Arms grasped you from behind and pulled you into a swaying embrace that went with the music's tempo.

A little embarrassed, not sure from what, you blushed and jokingly asked. -"Are you going to call the cops?" Your voice carried into Otto's ears softly, as it petitioned for freedom.

Before answering, he turned you around and affectionately scanned how the sweater looked on your smaller frame. -"Hmmm no." Otto smirked. -" You're too cute for jail. Not to mention, I wouldn't be able to leave you there for long, so I'd pay bail to have you by my side as quickly as possible. I'd lose money."

-" Smart choice." You giggled. -" Villainy has once again triumphed. Guess I'm free to steal as many turtlenecks as I can."

-" As many as you like, dear." He tenderly kissed your lips as he leaned down. 

Otto then chuckled.

-” What?” You asked indignantly.

-” Your nose is cold.”

Pros

He'll always find new ways to charm you. Maybe he'll a rose from his hat or sing you a serenade in the middle of the night. He'll keep things interesting when you're with him

Because Giovanni works at the Mostro Lounge, when you visit during one of his shifts, he'll give you the VIP treatment, make sure your experience there is top tier

Giovanni will always try to make sure you're feeling well and happy. You're sick? He's coming over with soup and medicine. You're feeling sad? He's coming over to give you cuddles, tissues, or anything you need to feel better. You're hungry? He's making you food or taking you out to eat. Though I hope you don't mind Gene is also tagging along for it all

Cons

His partner isn't even safe from his cons. It's like a switch that's hard to turn off. He's always trying to make money. Though he'll try to stop being such a con artist when he's with you, it'll just be a long time until he actually does stop

Gene is his first priority. If something is wrong with Gene, he's canceling your guys' date plans for the day. This also means you'll have a very judgemental cat looking at you two from the shadows (he needs to make sure you're the right person for his brother!)

1) If I was an animal I would probably be a cat. I love to sleep. I love to be pet - by the right person. I love who I love, and generally have to be won over. But! I will give everyone a chance at first.

2) My ideal night out would be on a beautiful clear night. One where you can see all of the stars. Perhaps a nice picnic? Or a sneaky skinny dip session in a beautiful pool. I’m not one for big crowds or loud noises, so I’d like to keep it on the down low. My ideal day in would be the quintessential lazy day! Movies on my tv, the best snacks, multiple naps. You get it.

Johanna "Jo" Ferguson: Five Songs That Remind Me of Them.

I associate Jo with very sexually-empowering, it-girl songs. Sticking with the decades theme, I feel like Jo resonates with the colours red, black, and neon greens and purples. Glittery little numbers and black leather jackets, she would fit right in with the retro scene and dominate the night clubs.

While Lou pays homage to the classic vibes of the swinging sixties and Casey is the epitome of the pastel sweaters and tight jeans of the early 80s, Jo is all about the rock and glam of the late 70s to mid 80s so it's only natural that the songs that remind me most of her resonate with that time period.

"Does Your Mother Know" by ABBA (1979)

Is a very fun, catchy, and cheeky song. She's the type to dance the night away in strangers arms, smirking and teasing them with things they cannot have. I specifically image this song with her and Peter Maximoff, and I feel like it really captures the casual, fun-loving cat and mouse vibes of their relationship.

"Roxanne" by The Police (1978)

Now, I know the song is about a prostitute but even the frontman, Sting said that its supposed to be about real feelings, a real song that's dressed up as something silly which I feel relates to Peter and Jo's entire relationship - something that actually has hidden meanings, real feelings, an emotional depth that most can't see past its 'all fun in games' persona. I can imagine Jo dressed in this red satin number while Peter serenades her with an air guitar 😂

"Barracuda" by Heart (1977)

Every time I listen to this song, it brings me back to that scene in Charlie's Angels where Lucy Liu is dressed up all in tight, squeaking black leather and ultimately ends up leading a worker's strike as a distraction for the mission the girls are on. The pure sexiness and badassary of that moment was admittingly one of my sexual awakenings (I have a list) but I just felt that it had Jo vibes written all over it. So, if anyone wants Jo summed up in one scene, that's it!

"Long Cool Woman" by the Hollies (1972)

Jo's the kind of chick that really captures the attention of any room she walks in. She's fierce and it shows in her glowing green neon eyes, the way she struts, the way her mouth moves and the passion in her voice when she speaks. Her smile is Cheshire cat and she has known to be easy to fall for, but her attitude makes it hard for anyone to get her to accept their love. Oh, I listened to this song and immediately decided to make her 5'9 because I thought it was fitting.

"What I Like About You" by the Romantics (1980)

Keeping with the red, rock and roll theme that I have going here for Jo, this song had to make the list because I can totally imagine it being up there as another song Peter serenades Jo with. Leather jacket and red are her thing and its what comes to mind when I hear this song. Slicked back hair, rockafella vibes and the bright red can of cola. Red lipstick, iron-curled hair and the specific type of sex appeal that only Jo can pull off.

My tired overused notebook, chapstick or lip gloss or something for my lips, multiple loose band-aids because I’m too clumsy for my own good and also because I’m the person that gives band-aids to everyone around me (so, you know, I have to be prepared), mints or some kind of sore throat medicine, hand cream. And many more things because I carry my life in my bag.

5 things you’ll find in my bedroom:

A big old plant, multiple dictionaries, a couple of blankets, a ceramic cup that has a flower pattern on it that I was given as a gift and that I should just put next to other cups in the kitchen but I haven’t yet and at this point it’s become a decoration because I drink from a different cup anyway (it’s a pretty decoration though, so it’s okay), my sister’s artwork.

5 of my favorite things:

Books (all kinds and genres; they’re just tiny pieces of happiness and knowledge and they’re wonderful), anything related to Joanna Newsom, music (just music in general because I’m more of an auditory person and I love experiencing the world through sound), puns (good and bad (they’re all funny to me), I love language), tea.

5 things I’m currently into:

„The Third Policeman“ by Flann O’Brien that @asongforbabybirch recommended and it‘s absolutely wonderful so far, I’m really enjoying it, Debussy (and other „classicals“ too, I’ve just been enjoying some instrumental music, it’s soothing), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (but I’m always into it, so I don’t know if that counts; anyway, it’s very good), me and my cat are really enjoying the sun (the weather has been nice, it looks really pretty outside). I realize I’ve mentioned only 4 things but I can’t think of anything else. I could say Joanna Newsom again (but I’m also always into her, so... idk, it’s hard to think of something now, I’ve been lacking in the energy department recently).

I’d like to read more and finish some books that I’ve started, finish some shows I’ve started too (you see the trend here, don’t you? I guess I just need to find the energy to finish things in general), sort out my job situation, I have a few health issues that I need to take care of, resize a dress that I was given.
