1. OHN. It's just perfect. Everything about it is perfect. Every moment. Every shot. Every line. Sander being so vulnerable and scared and unsure. Robbe being so soft and calming. So assuring. Saying and doing just the right things. The amalgamation of reunion and minute by minute. Sander being surrounded by art. Art of robbe. Sander truly letting it all out when robbe kisses him. Them just dropping to the floor together. Wildfire. The flashbacks using the sketches. This scene was so well thought out by wtfock. It was handled with so much care. I love it so much.

2. Date clip vrijdag 22:53: Shit went down in the later half but everything prior to that was truly magical. Up until this clip I was denying that I have grown to love sobbe even more than og evak but this clip changed everything. The chemistry was off charts. The purity of robbe and sander just spending some fun time with each other, teasing each other and eventually just getting lost in each other, the world around them blurring. The music choice. Robbe climbing up and wrapping himself around sander. It was unlike any romantic scene i had witnessed in skam universe. Just I don't know. It did something to me.

3. Rebel Rebel trolley scene: Sander being his chaotic, iconic self? Robbe finally smiling. Sander casually calling Robbe expensive. Sander having a whole moment upon hearing Bowie. Sander spinning Robbe around while singing bowie to him. Robbe leaning closer to Sander on the trolley. Sander miming. This scene truly defines them. Chaos. A beautiful chaos. Chernobyl. And I just love Sander. He's my most favourite character like ever and it was just him being him. I fell in love with him in that exact moment. And seeing robbe finally have fun and let loose was so relieving. This scene is so fucking powerful. It doesn't get enough credit. Their connection was other worldly. I remember watching it for the first time when it dropped and I actually went: "wait, is the first evak meeting supposed to be this powerful?" "wait, is the even supposed to be this transparent?" "wait, is the evak chemistry supposed to be this groundbreaking?" "ohmygod who is the bleached bitch and why would i die for him?" Man, it's something else.

ok panic concert highlights

(plus some personal adventures)

this was the portland show on the 12th k

so it was a fuckin hour and a half drive bc where i fuckin live now is far away from everything i hate it anyway that sucked & i ran my phone down to 80 percent during said drive which proved problematic

we get there (me & my lil sis) & our dad drops us off & we run up & im bitching about how weird the fucking venue is (it’s normal, it’s just not what i’m used to - in vegas the venues were typically in the casino/resorts so you lined up inside the halls & sat against the walls & tourist-watched, in this venue u stood outside in a line???? ughhh)

so we approach the line & something happens, i’m gonna make a separate post about it because holy shit

befriended two excitable gay kids, maybe 8th or 9th grade?? & i was like woah i was u once. now im old & jaded. eugh. then they bailed on me so.

we got into the arena & were on the wrong fucking side so we had to JOG all the way AROUND THE WHOLE FUCKINGN PLACE UGH

THEN WE GOT IN & SAT IN THE WRONG SEATS so the guy next to me (dad w a thick accent, maybe ukranian?? it wasn’t russian but it was close) politely informed me & i was like fuck well until they get here we’ll stay, but i had anxiety so during an arizona song i pretended to go to the bathroom & came back to look for our actual seat, someone took it so i pussied out & went back, had hella anxiety about it, then before hayley the ppl showed up so we had to move & i had to kick some preps out of their seat & they called my lil sister a bitch ;-;

OK SO ONTO THE PERFORMERS

arizona was cute, gotta check them out... singer kept getting emotional & wiping his eyes, it was sweet, and he was hella feeling himself dancing & stuff lmaoo. idk em but im proud of them.

HAYLEYYYYYYYYYYY her dancing & drumming & outfit??? also all the lesbians/wlw getting crunk in the crowd was so damn good haha

ALSO shout out to hayley’s band, they were so cute??? the guitarist & her kept having moments & he seemed like a cool dude, & the girl on synths was so pretty omg??? & smiley i loved her. & the drummer, they were goin so hard i couldnt get a good look, but they had kewl hair

“if you don’t know anything about me, there’s one thing you should know: I LOVE GIRLS” there was so much gay energy at that show i was teary the whole damn time

k confession, i love everything about hayley but i find her voice a little grating on the ears, something about it, but it was super angelic live & didn’t bug me once, & wanna be missed fucked me up cuz it’s my fucking f a v

her oufit was so damn iconic rlly tho, the pants & shoes totes fit her but wouldn't look good on anyone else, but that shirt, the hot dad look w the open v & all the jewelry, holy fuck that’s how im tryna be

during girls like girls, everyone had their lights out & there was a bunch of pride flags out, and i got this gorgeous shot of a gay pride flag illuminated by lights (i posted it)

most of the songs they played between the breaks were gay themed too which was powerful dude i was so damn emotional

then during the countdown to panic, they played the next episode by dre (the “smoke weed every day” song) & then africa by toto jsfndjfndjskfnjdk

THEN PANIC CAME OUT

WHOLE ASS STRING & BRASS SECTION BDEN RLLY WENT THERE WOAH

KENNY & NICOLE WERE SO CUTE THE WHOLE TIME THEY KEPT GOOFING AROUND ESPECIALLY KENNY IT WAS ADORABLE

THEN BREB POPPED OUT THE DAMN FLOOR

ok several things about breb

one, i never was heavy into panic, but considering how obsessive i was into bandom a few years back, i still know a lot about early panic, livejournal shit, ryden bullshit, etc, so it was really weird being there with normies who were just like “he’s hot & sings good” when i was like “yall lucky fucks never heard of myrtle beach ” dsjfnjsdnfds

two, four years into panic & i never was attracted to brendon, but dude, EVERYONE fell in love with him at this show, myself included, & i was starin at this bitch ass motherfucker in a trance before i was like “wait ur a bastard STOP U ENDEARING DICKWAD” he was so fucking endearing it was ANNOYING cuz i’ve seen some of the shit he’s pulled damnit. srsly tho, so absolutely charming, wow.

three, and what stuck with me most; brendon loves what he does. a little bit of exhibitionism, i think; he likes ppl looking at & admiring him, he’s that type of person, a showman, but also, i think he just loves making music, people singing along to the music, etc. ive been to eight concerts now, and i don’t think i’ve seen someone who clearly loved being on stage so much. a lot of ppl act like it’s a chore to tour, but brendon clearly loves it, and it made me happy, especially as an aspiring musician.

four, the straighties drooling over him and the gays drooling over him was truly straight/gay solidarity

ok what else happened... brendon would throw in random ass high notes towards the ends of songs... my sister looked at me super alarmed when he first did it during dtmwagt lmfao... ppl would cheer & it was impressive, but kinda piercing & i was like “show off” lol

HE DID THE ‘I MAKE THESE HIGH HEELS WORK’ thing, i thought he retired tht?? so i was pleased lmfao

i dont rmr anything that stands out about ready to go or la devotee but the lights & backgrounds during them were very pretty & i got some good pics of brebbois face (i finally got semi decent quality pics im rlly happy abt tht, concerts r so hard to photograph)

hallelujah was cool cuz there were, like, those catholic(?) church windows projected on the top part of the stage, it was pretty af, they rlly outdid themselves with the visuals

and mona lisa had like pipes & industrial stuff?? idk it looked dope, and it contrasted rlly cool it was super pretty

nine in the afternoon,,,, the only pretty odd song... i dont even like pretty odd but it was like,,, damn. & he had the piano, total live in denver vibes ;-; but he wasnt dripping sweat this time lmao

golden days, brebweenie knows hes hot, kept winking & doing mic flips & shit & i was like u fucken weenie ive seen that pic of u w a bowl cut in a bra, die

during casual affair in the chorus, the mic would echo each word (just lay (lay) in the atmosphere (sphere) & the ‘lay’ was rlly good on my ears idk sometimes certain vocal notes sound GOOD & that was one i keep replaying it

SO VEGAS LIGHTS as yall kno i was born & raised in vegas & a vegasfucker69 it’s my fucking home i moved last november (not my choice) & miss it violently & i was CRYING during vegas lights hard & it was so beautiful im gonna watch the video i got over & over & over that song means so much to me IM SO FUCKING HOMESICK

speaking of which, im pretty bitter i didnt see panic in vegas, this was my first panic show & that kinda bothers me, like i should’ve seen them in vegas a few yrs ago but it never worked out.... still, im grateful i saw them at all & im glad i saw the song live. i had my fob snapback on too, it says ‘las vegas’ on it cuz i got it there haha, wore that on purpose

ok i did smth lowkey embarrassing, i doubt he saw, but when he faced towards us i was just overwhelmed w like.. gratitude?? ive had a bad 2 years in every way, so being somewhere filled with love & fun & kindness & joy & all around good vibes, i was so grateful? i just wanted to thank him for creating that kinda atmosphere. so i like,,, blew kisses but not in a weird way, like later i was like oh that was kinda weird whyd i do that, but at that moment i didnt use my head & it was jus my instinctual way of saying thank u idk it’s lame but it happened so there ya go idfk

so for those of y’all who read my sf9 intro post, i’m sorry bc this is prob gonna be a lot longer I”M SORRY how can you guys ask me to do this for my faves

vixx (synonymous with “concept kings”) stands for “visual, voice, value in excelsis,” which is meant to say that vixx has the best vocals/visuals and all that but after 5 years many people think that the “v” in vixx also stands for violence oops. before debut, they were in a survival show called mydol with a few other trainees. under jellyfish entertainment, vixx debuted may 24, 2012 with the song superhero. since then, vixx have been known as concept-dols because of the way they incorporate themes into their teasers, outfits, mv and go way beyond in terms of expressing these particular concepts.

one thing you have to know about vixx is that they’re relatively popular but somewhat overlooked because they create music and concepts that they are interested in, which don’t necessarily overlap with what the majority of the kpop consumer body wants to see or hear. but they don’t care. they are happy making music and are grateful for all of their fans, no matter how small or big their fanbase is.

love in a time of social media part one. shance. eventual nc-17. alternate universe. lance is the king of shitposts and selfies. shiro is an artist who loves his dog and fatalistic humor. somehow, they fall in love. warning! underage drinking and casual use of marijuana

They meet online.

Specifically, they meet on tumblr. Shiro is an artist of middling popularity and Lance is a shitposter of the highest caliber. Shiro follows Lance months before Lance follows him; indeed, Lance is unaware of Shiro's work until Shiro @'s him in a small comic.

'I couldn't resist,' Shiro types below the image. 'Thank you for the inspiration, @lances-a-lot.'

Shiro—@white_iron—has a simple art style and a sharp sense of humor that makes Lance laugh out loud. He reblogs the comic, telling his followers to check it out, and proceeds to creep on Shiro's blog. Lance's first stop is Shiro's small about section.

Hello! My name is Shiro. I am a post-grad history student and I spend my limited free time walking my dog or doodling. art tag doodles photography

Shiro's blog consists mainly of his artwork. Occasionally, Shiro will also post real-life pictures of his dog, a beautiful black and white akita with bright eyes and a dopey smile. There aren't any pictures of Shiro himself. Lance—who takes roughly a thousand selfies every day—comments on this oddity to Blue, his enormous gray long-hair.

Blue blinks at him.

"My curiosity has been piqued," Lance replies primly.

Blue blinks her big gold eyes at him again.

"Enough of your judgement!" Lance over-dramatizes. "I can follow who I want!"

Shiro's blog is twenty-four pages of self-produced content that Lance blazes through in less than an hour. There are no reblogs. Lance nearly twitches at the restraint and—after a moment—decides to check if Shiro's likes are public.

"Jackpot!" Lance crows when the page loads.

Shiro's likes are a riot of memes and shit-posts. Art references and how-to's. Nerdy history jokes. Links to academic articles. Male fitspo. Healthy recipes, juice cleanse tips, and over-indulgent foodie pics. NSFW gifs of twinks writhing open-mouthed on rumpled sheets. Pictures of space and nature. Lots of dogs. Several of Lance's selfies. More than one necromancy pun. If it is at all possible to fall in love with someone based on their likes, Lance does it.

Lance's infinite scrolling comes to a halt at half past one, when his one of his many phone alarms notifies him of the time. Lance groans, closes his browser, and hauls his butt out of his narrow bed. It takes him a couple minutes to find an acceptably clean pair of skinny jeans and an unwrinkled sweater; he hasn't done laundry for several weeks.

"After lab," Lance tells Blue as he wriggles out of his worn sweats into his socially acceptable denim. "I'll do a load tonight."

Blue flicks her tail at him, a rude gesture that Lance returns with one of his own. Blue sends him baleful glance.

"Don't look at me like that," Lance says even as he plants a kiss between Blue's mismatched ears. She lost half of her left ear in a fight before the shelter picked her off the street. "You started it."

Blue meows loudly and bats Lance's nose.

"Okay, okay, you're right. I started it." Lance presses one more kiss on his cat's skull. "Have fun bird-watching. I'll see you later."

Then—with his good-byes said—Lance grabs his notebook-laden satchel, and is out the door.

Lance's lab is as much of a challenge as it always is. Lance is good at math—numbers and variables are easy—but his brain refuses to wrap around the concepts of physics. It's a small miracle that Pidge is his lab partner; without her, Lance is certain he would fail.

"You're a lifesaver," Lance gushes as they leave the old building. "Let me buy you pizza to show my gratitude."

"I told Matt I'd have dinner with him," says Pidge. "His roommate is going through some sort of clean eating phase and it's driving him nuts."

"He can come," Lance says. Then, less magnanimously, "But he has to get his own slice."

Pidge rolls her eyes as she texts her older brother. Lance shoots a text to Hunk, who responds with a single thumbs up emoji. They all meet at less than ten minutes later at the off-campus pizzeria that sells by the slice. Lance gets three for himself and two for Pidge; Matt, who is the only person over the age of twenty-one, covertly buys a pitcher of beer that they pour into their small, plastic water cups.

"Sweet, sweet, processed goodness," Matt half-cries as he chews, his mouth filled with cheese, pepperoni, and grease. "How I missed you."

Lance would be more sympathetic to Matt's dilemma if the man hadn't embarrassed him in a game of beer pong at a sorority the week before. Lance can't prove it, but he knows in his heart of hearts that Matt cheated. Nobody beats Lance at beer pong, okay. Nobody.

"That bad?" Pidge grins.

"You have no idea," Matt bemoans. "Like—Takashi's a great dude, don't get me wrong—but when I found him on Craig's List I was more worried about being murdered in my sleep than I was about weird diet habits. Turns out I should have been more worried about the diet habits. Our fridge is filled with kale. Kale, Kit-Kat. From the farmer's market."

"Kale is really good for you," Hunk interjects.

"That's what Takashi said," Matt mutters. "I don't know how much longer I can go on like this."

"Hasn't it only been three days—"

"An eternity—"

Lance laughs at Matt's plight and, once dinner is finished and the four of them part ways, he takes out his phone to tweet about the roundabout retribution.

It's a little past nine when Lance returns to his apartment. His roommate, Rolo, and his ambiguously defined girlfriend/partner-in-crime, Nyma, are sitting on the couch sharing a joint. A bag of popcorn is ready on the battered coffee table and the television is playing an old nineties buddy-cop flick.

"Hey," Rolo says, smoke curling upwards from his mouth. "Wanna join?"

"Nah." Lance turns down the proffered joint with a shrug. "Gotta take my laundry down. You feed Blue?"

"Like she'd let me forget."

Blue—who is perched on the windowsill—releases a single, plaintive meow. She has no problems letting anyone know what she wants and when she wants it, especially when it comes to being fed.

"Thanks man."

"De nada."

It doesn't take Lance long to gather his dirty clothing and stuff it into his hamper. He takes it all to the basement, throws a few loads in, and settles into one of the old armchairs that have accumulated in the corner. He knows that he should read ahead for his classes, but the siren song of social media grips him. An internal debate rages inside him for all of three seconds before he opens his tumblr account.

Lance barely feels the twinge of guilt.

There are several asks—all anonymous, as per usual—and one unread message. Lance is a little surprised by the latter; after a few weird encounters, he changed his setting so that he could only receive messages from people he followed. He clicks on the conversation first.

white_iron Thanks for the follow! I'm really flattered. You're one of my favorite blogs.

Lance smiles at the message.

After hitting send, Lance plugs in his chunky headphones into the audio jack. He has a new chillwave playlist that Pidge gave him, but he knows that if he doesn't give Tycho his full attention Pidge may murder him. So instead, Lance pulls up his trusted Rihanna compilation and double clicks on the first song. He bops his head in time with the beat and opens his asks, quickly answering his anons.

Several chart-toppers later, a small ping interrupts Rihanna's plea for the dj to turn the music up. Lance looks at the vertical line of icons on the side of the page and sees that he has another message from Shiro. Lance opens the conversation immediately and reads:

white_iron sent a photo post.

A small preview image has been loaded into the conversation. It is a cartoon version of Shiro's akita, her expression morphed into one of extreme judgement. Her eyebrows—twin dots of white on her dark face—are low over her big eyes and her ruff is fattened comically around her muzzle. Lance cannot help but laugh at the exaggerated accuracy and immediately reblog it.''

Lance talks to Shiro for the next couple of hours while his laundry finishes. Mostly, they swap stories about their pets and commiserate about their less than desirable—if not inadvertently hilarious—behavior. Lance even tells Shiro about how he rescued Blue. In turn, Shiro talks about the process he had to go through to adopt Bee. Shiro mentions that Bee is a service dog; what for, he does not say.

Don't be that asshole, Lance reminds himself as the topic wanes. His comfort is more important than your curiosity.

Lance is having such a good time talking to Shiro that he barely notices midnight pass. In fact, if it weren't for the enormous, jaw-cracking yawn that his body produces, Lance would not have noticed at all.

white_iron Tell me about it. I have to TA an 8 a.m. class.

There is a small pause. Lance gnaws on his bottom lip as he watches the ellipsis that indicates typing flicker in and out of existence.

white_iron Talk to you tomorrow?

Lance bites down harder on his lip. Normally, he would send back a quick affirmation before logging off, but his interaction with Shiro feels different than the interactions he's had in the past. Their chemistry is undeniable and their conversation never felt flat or stilted. Yet while Lance knows he's been lowkey flirting with Shiro, he cannot be sure if Shiro has been flirting back.

Fuck it, Lance thinks as he gathers all his courage and sets his fingers back on the keyboard. He can feel how warm his cheeks are. Just do it.

don’t repost other people’s memes or art. it’s kinda shitty. i feel like this goes without saying, but i figured why not say it again. posting youtube vids is totally fine tho because it’s linking to the original source so you’re still supporting the OG creator.

DO NOT click on any links that are DMed to you from blogs you don’t follow or know of. even if the links just seem like they’re going to tumblr posts. if you’re unsure, check out the blog first to see if it’s a porn bot blog or not. tumblr likes to say it’s solved its porn bot problem, but that can’t be further from the truth.

tumblr in general is pretty political and purity culture is a thing here and you’ll read a lot of stuff on ur dash that will slap u in the face with its sheer stupidity, but just try to ignore it because if u get sucked into the politics, ur gonna have a bad time

Culture Day Trips From New York City

Storm King Art Center — New Windsor, New York Just an hour north of Manhattan, a playground of monumental sculptures unfold over 500 acres at Storm King. Start your visit at Museum Hill, which offers vistas of the property (as well as a map). Snap a selfie beneath Richard Serra’s iconic and dreamy Schunnemuck Fork, explore the rolling fields dotted with Mark di Suvero’s kinetic metal juggernauts, and examine David Smith’s steel sculptures, the works that inspired the founding of Storm King.

Indicators: Artists on Climate Change is a beautiful group show of artists’ takes on the environment, global climate trends, and human behavior through large-scale sculptural works. Ellen Cameron-Weir’s site-specific installation, A toothless grin. "A STAR EXPANSION! GLOBE OF DEATH A graveyard orbit," featuring a 20-ft.-high sphere, plays with concepts of functionality vs. abstraction in monumental sculpture. If your ambition to see all 500 acres outstrips your athletic prowess, free trams run continuously, with a circuit of ten easy hop-on/hop-off stops; bikes are also available for rent. Wednesday–Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Both exhibitions on view until November. DIA: Beacon — Beacon, New York This former Nabisco box-printing facility has found a new life as a Minimalist palace, where large-scale installations by contemporary art masters extend though neatly defined rooms. Peer down (but don’t fall!) into Michael Heizer’s geometric steel pits. Step lightly as you trace the elegant lines of Fred Sandback’s red yarn constructions, and walk the red carpet between the lines of Walter De Maria’s 360 I Ching/64 Sculptures. Louise Bourgeois’ iconic spider crouches in wait upstairs, and Richard Serra’s weatherproof steel structures invite you to interact, tempting the viewer to wander in and out to experience them from every angle. Other artists on display include Robert Smithson, Bruce Nauman, Gerhard Richter, Sol LeWitt and Donald Judd, making this a veritable who's who of the modern art world. In addition to the permanent collection, this summer offers newly added installations by Mary Corse and Dorothea Rockburne. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through November. Jack Shainman’s “The School” — Kinderhook, New York Chelsea gallerist Jack Shainman converted an old schoolhouse in the Hudson Valley into a 30,000 square foot exhibition space in 2014. With shows and programs drawn from his impressive roster of artists, he fills The School with works, installations, and performances that make full use of the building’s ample space. This summer’s offering is "Travelogue," comprised of an impressive survey of the late Radcliffe Bailey’s career, replete with multimedia works, paintings, and large-scale sculptures. This central exhibition is the hub around which ten smaller presentations revolve, highlighting related works from Nina Chanel Abney, Leslie Wayne, Dan Flavin, and Brad Kahlhamer, among others. Kinderhook, the small town that plays host to The School, has a charming Americana feel you won't soon forget. Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment. “Travelogue” is on view through October 6.

Hufton+Crow/Getty Images The Dan Flavin Institute, the Parrish Art Museum, and the Watermill Center — The Hamptons For those of you seeking culture between beach trips, these three Hamptons institutions offer a respite for sun-burned viewers. If you crave more after seeing Dan Flavin’s work at DIA: Beacon, Bridgehampton’s Flavin Institute, a converted early 20th-century firehouse, offers several permanent neon installations selected by the artist himself, along with a Keith Sonnier contemporary neon exhibition that will open on July 1. The Parrish Art Museum celebrates the fifth anniversary of its Herzog & de Meuron renovation with an exhibition from the permanent collection curated by star artist Rashid Johnson, who has selected works to highlight the legacy of the East End artists whose traditions and methods were inspired by their time in the Hamptons. And finally, the Watermill Center is best enjoyed at its spectacular summer benefit, when 15–20 performance artists float through the forest surprising and amazing partygoers in a surreal parade. The Flavin Institute is open Thursday-Sunday, 12 pm to 6 pm, through November; the Parrish Museum is open Wednesday–Monday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an 8 p.m. closing on Fridays, and The Watermill Center Summer Benefit takes place on July 28 at 6 p.m.: tickets starting at $450.

Spanning several millennia and the entire globe, the collection boasts more than 250,000 works of art, offering a veritable walkthrough of art history. Start with the ancient works, much of which garnered from University-organized excavations, and move from the Ishtar Gate in ancient Babylon up through Duchamp’s early 20th-century “readymades,” Jackson Pollock’s “Drip Paintings,” and Roy Lichtenstein’s brilliantly reimagined comic strip-inspired works. The Brant Foundation Art Study Center — Greenwich, Connecticut A quick hop up the Merritt brings you to The Brant Foundation Art Study Center, set between the green rolling hills and mega-mansions of Greenwich. The Brant is home to a series of well-curated temporary exhibitions, mostly drawn from the impressive vaults of its own collection, as well as a casual smattering of world-class monumental sculpture including Jeff Koons’ iconic Puppy and Urs Fischer’s imposing 34-ft-high Big Clay. This season’s show, fittingly titled “Joe Bradley, Oscar Tuazon, Michael Williams,” brings together diverse works from the artists, selected to highlight the interplay between their practices. Duck into L.A. artist Oscar Tuazon’s over-life-sized water pipes on your way in, then admire up-and-coming fellow Californian Michael Williams’ compellingly contemporary “still-life” paintings before taking in the thoughtful assemblage of rare early Joe Bradley paintings.
