MDZS AU where Jiang Cheng realizes that Lan Sizhui is the Wen orphan that Wei Wuxian took care off during the Burial Mounds arc, decides that's close enough to qualify him as Nephew, declares that no Nephew of His (much less a surrogate son of Wei Wuxian's) is going to be raised in the Cloud Recedes, and immediately launches into a custody battle with Lan Wangji.

But since neither Jiang Cheng or Lan Wangji can acknowledge that Sizuhi has any connection to Wei Wuxian, both begin steadfastly and stubbornly insisting that he is a Cultivator of peerless potential and skill and he belongs in their sect thank you very much, and would clearly be very unhappy in the other's. This confuses the hell out of the already mystified Cultivation world, who had barely adjusted yet to gossiping about Sizhui being Wangji's illegitimate child by mysterious love affair.

(Eventually the common consensus in the rumor mills is that both JC and LW where in love with Sizhui's mother and both believe themselves to be Sizhui's real father.)

(LW couldn't care less what gossips say, but JC has to bite his tongue till it bleeds to avoid telling anyone the truth in a fit of anger.)

(It was Nie Huaisang who put that rumor out in the first place, partly to troll JC, partly because, in a way, it's a little true.)

Jason flirting using lines and strategies from his favourite romance books. Except he doesn't use lines from Austen novels, because those are his feel good, idealistic romance stories that could never happen in real life because people don't get that kind of fancy love. You know what Jason bases his perception of his own romance on? Gothic romance. Shit like wuthering Heights. Jane Eyre. It's not realistic unless someone dies.

One Piece Live action season 1 + hints or similarities to future One Piece moments (specifically after East Blue saga)

Again putting this small explanation here: This post isn't meant to be a comparison between the live action and the animanga during Blue East arc, but more so seeing these added/modified scenes that differ from the manga at that current arc, and instead seeing how they fit into future arcs and scenes, have similar parallels or even just choices for characters, and overall bringing these small details of their personalities from later arcs into the show now. (I just think it's neat.)

Luffy + food = classic. Food being very important instant strength and healing factor for Luffy, so that he even puts it in his pockets for later. || opla ep 3 // anime ep. 258.

Luffy & Going Merry - in opla, when Luffy first sees Merry, he thinks she's talking to him - already maybe a small hint what's going to happen (many arcs) later on. Then in this scene with Kaya, Luffy mentions how a ship is another crewmember - another friend to him // in anime the connection between them is especially shown with Usopp and more focus on it begins around Skypiea arc, but I felt Merry coming to rescue the Strawhats at the end of Enies Lobby was even better parallel to show here. She is their crewmember and friend, and they can hear her, thanking her as she saves them. || opla ep 3 // anime ep. 310

Zoro being stuck in places (or going to wrong places) happens so much, and somehow it never gets old. || In opla it's basically the whole episode 4 // in anime during episodes 246-254

Luffy & poison... there's a lot of it for future Luffy :') It's interesting that OPLA decided to add that so soon, & it could be seen as the beginning of Luffy starting to build up all the poison resistance he will need later... || Opla ep 4 // anime ep. 436

Luffy & Usopp's 'arguing' over the captain title. In opla it was a small scene meant purely in the joking way, just like a small scene in the animanga in East Blue arc, but I still wanted to add this as some sort of possible foreshadowing about their dispute/argument during Water 7 saga.|| opla ep. 4 // manga ch. 331

Zoro being directionally challenged. (much like Luffy in part 1 of this post, they think a little differently about the world directions). Not much else to say about this, just that it's still pretty much always funny.|| Opla ep 5 // anime ep 652

Luffy signing his name on the check/ bill for food - in the manga they showed something similar with a IOU on the bill, a future pirate king treasure tab, as Luffy was running from his first shenanigans with Ace and Sabo, so it was fun to see OPLA adapt this as a sort of continuation of Luffy always doing this. Garp talking about not wanting to be a fleet admiral or rising ranks any higher than necessary because it would take away his choices/freedom. - (Always an interesting opinion to see/hear from someone who 'raised' Luffy). It's mostly in the animanga before Wano arc, but it discusses the Akainu vs Aokiji duel that took place after the Summit war arc. Sengoku describes the same ideals Garp had about (not) being promoted, which is another interesting thing that opla moved already into s1. || Opla ep 5 // manga ch. 957, anime 958

can't stop thinking abt the concept of arthur hearing about this 'emrys' throughout different occasions here and there in the beginning of s4, and at first not thinking much of it, then when the name keeps getting repeated from different villains/sorcerers he interacts with, it finally catches his attention and he becomes genuinely concerned. he makes it a bit of a personal mission to find out who he is, but it's all a very lowkey side plot that's not the main focus (think of the 'traitor' arc also in s4). of course he talks about it with merlin, but to avoid suspicion, merlin shuts him down every time and tries to make him think this mysterious sorcerer is nothing to worry about.

as more time goes on, and the more arthur learns about this powerful sorcerer always protecting him from harm, and as much as he hates to admit this to anyone, most of all himself, as he's only ever been taught to hate magic and anything to do with it- he starts realizing 'emrys' is less of this evil entity that he has to hunt down and kill, and more of a guardian angel that he has genuine interest now in getting to meet. which would also be interesting in terms of contradicting morgana's plot in the same season.

then, in the s4 finale, something that merlin does or says at the end makes him finally connect the dots. he says nothing. the season closes with him just.......... left with the unbearable conflict of it all. the feeling of absolute betrayal from his own friend- the closest person to him that he turned out to not really Know at all, the anger at being lied to and his own obliviousness, all with also the gratitude to this man who has been protecting him without asking for anything in return, the confusion of why he's doing any of it, and the question deep down whether he even deserves it. he is just. left with so many questions and contradicting feelings that he just... says nothing. and we are left with this as the cliffhanger for s4's ending.

Sometimes I think a lot about Arthur's old journal, the one he had prior to the game's events that got burned in a fire, and how Arthur went a long time without a replacement.

He wrote that he missed writing and drawing, more than he thought he would.

The journal is a wonderful tool that allows us see through Arthur's eyes and how he deals with things, it's one of his healthiest coping mechanisms, so it makes me wonder what those journal-less months were really like for Arthur.

Whatever and wherever the fire was, the time spent up north in the Grizzlies and travelling down from it, Dutch nearly buying some land but getting spooked by the law, new people joining them, and then the gang spending months in the wilderness before moving to Blackwater - it all sounded like a hectic time. But he never wrote about how he felt, he just wrote about what had happened.

Yet, he said he missed writing and drawing. He missed it. He had the itch to write and draw for ages, but he couldn't.

Maybe he struggled with the chaos of those few months without a journal to empty his frustrations and thoughts into, maybe he saw so many things he wanted to draw and it aggravated him that he couldn't, maybe he was slightly more irritable than usual with everything that had pent up and having no means to release it, and so on.

I just think about it a lot.

Especially if you took the journal out of the main game, you'd be taking out a huge portion of the story and the insights we have into who Arthur is as a person too. It's impossible for Arthur to not write in the journal, even if you never open it. It's a vital tool that helps define him and show us how he moves through the world, how he copes with the world.

So if Arthur had his journal taken away by a fire all those months ago and went a long time without, what would he have been like?

If I had a nickel for every time a companion in the modern series of Doctor Who was a completely normal human who's love for the Doctor changed them into something heartbreakingly human yet not completely ordinary, loved the Doctor through multiple regenerations (including at least one that some people dislike because the Doctor looked older than the companion), and who's end on the show was both bittersweet and tragic and made me stop watching the show for a minimum of a month, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

So Splinter was willing to trade the world for his son. If Draxum had to choose between his world domination plans and the safety of his own sons, what would he pick? If he was choosing between the world and Donnie?

Honestly TSAU!Draxum would very much choose his sons (including Donnie) over the world. Sure, world domination is important to him, but also remember that he views world domination as a necessary step to save yōkai-kind from destruction, which includes his boys! Draxum isn't the perfect dad, and he didn't exactly plan on getting as attached to his sons as he did when he first created them. But now that he does have them he is Attached™ and he'll be damned if he lets anything bad happen to them.

Dani x Jason Prompt

(Because i dont see enough of these two together. Also, this is another prompt i found in my fic files that i never did anything with.)

While Danny is in Amity Park protecting the ghost portal, Dani explores the world. Danny might be powerful enough to put down any threat, even Ancients, but she isn't as lucky. Her best defense against Vlad or the GIW is to never be in the same place two days in a row. Not to say she isn't powerful in her own right - she's yet to meet a ghost in her travels that she couldn't utterly crush, and even if she had, she's got the most loyal dog in both this world and the next to have her six.

Dani has discovered a great deal of beauty throughout the world in her few short years of life, but also unfathomable evil and undescribable corruption. She does what she can in every place she passes through, her ghost powers the ultimate cheat code for investigation and subterfuge, bringing to light the things that once hid in the dark.

But while scoping out yet another child trafficking ring, she crosses paths with a spirit of vengeance. At least, that's the only explanation she can come up with for how he's able to turn his shock and horror into pure rage at the flip of a dime.

Until she realizes that he's a baby halfa. If he doesn't learn how to mediate his emotions, he's going to burn out one of his halves.

Maybe she can help him stabilize into a proper spirit of justice and keep him from following the path that Vlad went down - oh shit, he doesn't even know that he's undead. Well, this is going to be a project and a half. But Dani is nothing if not resourceful - she's more than willing to put in the work if it means making an ally of the fourth known halfa.
