Once again with the "Iorda trapped in a cell for five years until season 6 AU" in the timeline of FF&FW.
TW: Hallucinations, not good mental state whatsoever
Sensory deprivation for that long would lead to hallucinations, withdrawal, partial memory loss, and loss of some thinking abilities.
Iorda getting out and having to deal with hallucinations. She withdraws from people around her, also due to the lack of trust she also has around people now.
Some things she can't seem to remember in the past. She was in there for five years after all; in there since she was sixteen, and now she is twenty-one.
How long ago was the War of the Army of Decay? Alfea is in Magix or is Magix in Alfea? Griffin was who?
She also can't seem to remember why she has two scars on her back where her wings would be. As far as she knew, she didn't lose them before she was in the cell. Maybe the Trix have something to do with that, but then again, she knew they wouldn't tell her much.
For the first few days out of the cell—having to help the Trix figure out more about the best plan to send Selena's creatures to the Winx, and taking over the magic collages—she is struggling.
She can't sleep. Sometimes she sees flickers of shadows in her vision that aren't there, sounds that aren't there. Fear is a constant, and she can't escape it.
She feels like she's going insane.
Even though she is helping the Trix, she is still a liability. One way to make sure Iorda doesn't try anything is through a psychic link, and Iorda agrees to it for the sake of her own sanity; Darcy's magic and spells dull the hallucinations and contact unease, and this is also another way to keep her 'tied' to them.
The Trix would do anything to take over the Magical Dimension even though the Ancestors are no longer part of the picture, though Darcy feels slightly guilty. Something rare. She knows how delicate the mind and mental states can be, and she knows she and her sisters brutally messed up Iorda's.
Dulling the consequences is the only thing she can do.
But she doesn't care about the girl beyond that.
Part of Iorda wants to make the witch's pay, but she doesn't even have her base form now. Her wings are gone. She learns of a witch form while the Trix are out trying to defeat the Winx, a dangerous one that the Ancestral Witches had before they were defeated,
It sacrifices the user's entire sanity.
It binds them to a goal that keeps them going through the insanity.
But even once they achieve that goal, they can never get their old self back. If anything, they will decay without a goal to keep them going through their horrid state.
Iorda knows who she wants to pay. She completes the ritual, something painful. She doesn't care. She wants to make the Trix pay and have a direction in the circumstances in which she is trapped.
The goal that keeps her going through her non-lucid state is to kill the Trix.
Can the transformation be lost along with someone regaining their sanity? Yes. But only through deep forgiveness, something the Ancestors weren't capable of.
Iorda knows she will never forgive the Trix.
Farther down the line towards the end of the season, Iorda is fighting the Trix inside the Legendarium world (instead of Bloom). She is in the transformation (Serix/Lucerix/Inserix/or something like that) and what do the Trix realize?
They're done for.
But also, since the Ancestors were defeated (one of the main reasons they started looking for the Dragon Flame was because they were low-key forced and manipulated to) they've kept going without much direction.
Icy mainly has kept going, dragging her sisters along with her.
Darcy realizes that, for once, they've gone too far this time. Their actions basically forced Iorda to sacrifice her sanity to kill them and survive, so they are no longer any better than the Ancestors.
They've become for Iorda what the Ancestors were for them.
Something out of thier control driving them down a path they didn't want.
Darcy is also trying to calm Iorda down like, "Gurl we're sorry, we fucked up, just calm the fuck down." Is it helping much? No. Iorda is still raging with murder in her eyes, attacking the Trix ruthlessly.
At the same time, Stormy and Darcy are arguing with Icy. At some point, one of them snaps, "Icy, the Ancestors are gone. We don't have to do what they want us to do. Do you hear me? Gone."
Icy also realizes deep down that she doesn't have to keep idolizing the Ancestors. Try to impress them. She realizes how useless their trying has been the past two times trying to take over the Magic Dimension.
Iorda is still trying to kill the Trix, mainly zeroing in on Darcy. But even with the lack of lucidness, she feels a small part of her that was knowledgeable of the lack of choice the three witches had at the beginning felt... sympathy.
Deep down through the rage and bloodlust, she's hurting.
She's been hurting for years.
"You're not in danger anymore..." Darcy reassures slowly, giving Icy a look to shut up. Stormy is still, not attacking but is prepared to. Iorda has stopped attacking for a brief moment.
Iorda's emotions are bordering on panic, breathing becoming shallow. She wants to kill, but also, doesn't want to have blood on her hands. The transformation is screaming at her to kill.
Darcy continues trying to convince Iorda to back down.
"It's okay."
"You don't have to keep fighting."
"You can rest now."
Iorda wants to attack Darcy as the witch steps closer, but for some reason she feels fears fall down from her narrowed eyes. Stormy and Icy share a glance, ready to attack if Iorda prepares a spell towards their sister.
Darcy continues to speak to Iorda, and soon, Iorda chokes on a sob as she collapses to her knees from exhaustion. She breathes shakily, wrapping her arms around herself with her nails digging into her skin.
The transformation fades.
Somehow, deep down, the forgives the witches.
Darcy wraps her arms around the crying girl, knowing how much the transformation would've hurt her deep down. Iorda is still sobbing, shaking, not moving away.
Iorda soon passes out from exhaustion, or Darcy just shuts her consciousness off for a little bit.
The Winx and Selena summon the Trix and the unconscious Iorda out of the Legendarium world. The Trix are going to go on trial, and Iorda gets sent to Cloud Tower infirmity for the time being.
During the trial, the council are debating whether to kill the Trix. They've committed many crimes during their years, even though the first few were due to the fact that they couldn't escape from the Ancestor's witches.
Iorda, awake for the past few weeks, is still struggling to heal. But she is getting there. She meets the Winx (she only ran into them once or twice during the first year before the Army of Decay).
She, with a bit better mental state without the transformation, tries to talk with the Winx. Iorda heard the conversation between the Trix in the Legendarium world, and she knows they do regret their actions.
The Winx, and Iorda, end up somehow convincing the council to give the Trix a several-year sentence to Light Rock. Maybe they'd be able to heal from the Ancestors' influence.
Iorda also gets sent there for a short time to heal.
The Trix are genually trying to show that they can be better. For Icy, it's a bit harder to get out of old habits. Somehow, Stormy is doing the best in Light Rock.
Eventually, Iorda and Darcy get to have a supervised conversation in Light Rock. They are in a room, sitting at opposite ends.
Iorda: "When you tried to get me out of the transformation, was that actual remorse? Or just a way to make sure I'd vouch for you three?"
Darcy: "Can you blame me if it was both?"
Iorda: "Hm."
Darcy: "Either way, what we did was cruel. You... being in that cell for five years. And I do apologize for that."
Iorda doesn't fully forgive the witch obviously, but they come to a mutual agreement of not trying to murder each other anymore. Iorda still feels hatred, but she is glad to here the Trix are doing well in Light Rock.
They are all healing, the Trix and Iorda.
Darcy got Iorda out of the transformation.
Iorda got the Trix into Light Rock.
Two gestures showing neutrality.
And now, to both side's happiness, they'd never have to see each other again. They are still magical balances, but they can stop fighting in a war against each other.
They're both free.

can i request reader x demon!barou? ;; and maybe as an extra secnario where reader keeps asking stupid questions about the demon body parts (e.g.: "can you feel it if I touch your horns" "could you lift something with your tail") ykyk
love ya pupsi dupsi mwah
I LOVE THAT SCENARIO HELP
Requests open! - event list
Tags: gn!reader x demon!Barou
First meeting
It's not much more than a regular morning for you. Everything has been going as always. Just when you're in your kitchen to have breakfast, you can't manage to open the jam jar, no matter how hard you try. Out of nowhere, a deep voice asks "You need help with that?" and when you raise your head, you see a tall demon standing in front of you. Of course, that startles you so much that you immediately drop the jar and it shatters into countless tiny pieces on the ground. "That's a great start..." The demon mockingly mumbles under his breath.
General headcanons
-everything about Barou's demon features is big. His wings almost reach the ground (but he keeps them folded most of the time), his horns grow out a little above his forehead and they're like 15cm big and his tail is dragon-like and has a row of spikes going down
-you always fear he's going to accidentally knock something over, but Barou has learned how to be careful, so nothing ever happens. He probably knocked something over once when you weren't around but he'd never admit that he messed something up
-even though his actual job is just to keep you company, Barou does a lot of your housework just because he thinks you can't manage to do everything on your own. At some point, he ends up doing all of it so there's nothing left for you to do
-you jokingly call him your maid sometimes, but every time he starts holding you a speech about what his job is, that you should be thankful for him, and that he'd "leave you if he wasn't connected to you now" (he wouldn't, he got emotionally attached to you after two days)
How you fell in love with each other
You were the first one to fall for him, and it didn't take long. Maybe two weeks? You were almost constantly around each other, after all. Although, you didn't plan on confessing those feelings because you didn't know if you were allowed to date him anyways. After a few more weeks, Barou slowly found himself falling for you as well but he kept denying it as soon as the thought popped up. Although at some point, he got irritated with pushing those feelings away. And since he's going to be stuck with you for who knows how long - possibly forever - he decided he should just tell you how he feels. He already noticed how much you liked him a while ago anyways.
Extra scenario (before you started dating)
"Do you feel that?" You ask while reaching out your hand to touch one of Barou's horns. "I told you not to touch me without asking first." Barou growls while pushing your hand away. "And no, I don't feel that. I already told you I don't have nerves in my horns." - "Okay but..." You reach your hand out once again, this time towards one of Barou's wings, "Do you-" - "Stop touching me!" Barou almost yells as he pushes your hand away once again. Seeing him so easily irritated is funny to you, so you can't help but burst out in laughter. "Okay, okay, sorry." - "What did I do to deserve being stuck with you..." Barou mumbles under his breath and gets ready to continue whatever he was doing before. But you could swear there's at least a slight blush on his face.

The Dragon Reborn, Chapter 33 - Within the Weave
(THIS PROJECT IS SPOILER FREE! No spoilers past the chapter you click on. Curious what I'm doing here? Read this post! For the link index and a primer on The Wheel of Time, read this one! Like what you see? Send me a Ko-Fi.)
(Wheel icon) In which, hey, we were warned about this weren't we?
PERSPECTIVE: Perrin stares down at what's become known as the Lugard Road, near the Manetherendrelle river and the border of Murandy. Moiraine said this road had been paved, long ago, and sometimes paving stones work themselves up out of the ground. This one's different.
Perrin would have said it was a footprint of a large hound, if dogs could leave footprints in stone. There are no footprints in any of the rest of the dirt, though, just a faint trace of sulphur in the air. Maybe some kids stole a firework from the village nearby and set it off here. Dogs don't just make footprints in stone.(1)
Moiraine's been pushing them hard since leaving Jarra village. Loial wonders that Perrin can't sleep, but Perrin can't explain that he doesn't dare sleep soundly, because of the dreams. He remembers the one with Egwene and Hopper in it, and hopes Egg is doing well at the Tower. He figures Verin will look after her, and after Mat. He doesn’t think Nynaeve needs looking after, she’s more the kind you need looking after because of.
They've found more traces of Rand's passage, like a village burned entirely to cinders. The townspeople say a lantern dropped in a barn started it, and then everything went wrong: half the buckets in the town had holes in them, every burning wall fell out instead of in spreading the fire to the next houses over, and when the inn started to fall, the flaming timbers tumbled in such a way as to surround the main well, so they couldn't draw water to fight the fires anyway after that.
But a couple of untouched villages later, they find one where a spring in the village common is flowing after a year of failed wells and no water source closer than a mile away. Three villages after that, one where every well in town went dry the night before. Another where the crops were as poor as any can remember, but the mayor found sacks of gold that Moiraine says were minted in Manetheren.
Perrin wonders how so many evil things can happen in the Pattern as Rand moves through it, and Moiraine says the Creator is good, the Dark One is evil, but the Pattern is neither and both. A pattern that's all one colour is no pattern.(2)
As they approach the village of Remen, sitting on the Manetherendrelle, Perrin scents something Wrong, but not a Trolloc or a Myrddraal. Unrelated to that, there's a man crouched in a small iron cage, and children are throwing rocks at him. Loial and Perrin agree that someone should stop them. Something about the man tweaks Perrin's recognition.
Everyone in the inn is dressed as if it's a festival day. The innkeeper says some Hunters for the Horn found adventure right nearby, just up the river, fighting wild Aielmen. Imagine, Aielmen, in Altara! Perrin realizes that's what he recognized about the man in the cage. He also remembers Min's vision of an Aielman in a cage, a turning point in his life.(3)
Perrin asks how the Aielman came to be in the cage, and the innkeeper gestures to one he names Lord Orban, a youngish man in a red coat, bandaged in multiple places. He says Lord Orban and Lord Gann faced twenty Aielmen with only ten retainers, six retainers died, and every man took injuries, Orban and Gann worst of all, but they killed many Aiel, and the rest fled except this one they managed to take prisoner.
Lan engages in a skeptical conversation with Orban and Gann, and Moiraine sharply asks to be shown to their rooms. The crowd murmurs about "Lady" and "Ogier" as they pass through, but Perrin feels one pair of eyes in particular, the only woman in the room not in the local fashion of lace, standing apart from the rest of the patrons, in a plain dark grey riding dress. She's no older than Perrin, and tall for a woman. He's sure she's staring at him and him alone as they leave the common room.(4)
=====
(1) Are you familiar with the mythology this is from? Isn't it funny that Perrin would run into a dog-themed problem? (2) It's interesting that we need to keep reiterating that the Pattern, itself, is neither good nor evil. Like the Force, it has to balance itself out somehow. (3) What will become of this Aielman? Who is he, and why is he important to Perrin's story? (4) And whomst-a are youmst-a?

Issue 4: The Spider Meets The Prowler
-Begin Arc 2: The Lab Of Monsters-
-Meanwhile, Over At Aldera Junior High-
On a rooftop overlooking the small and unassuming middle school, a long figure perched.
The figure was vaguely feminine based on her body shape, but that was about the only clue you could get to her identity. The costume she wore was a simple dark purple and dark green bodysuit, with light armor on her chest, arms and legs. The mask she wore was purple and black, but with green lenses. The green parts of her costume gave off a slight glow, like a low-powered glowstick. She also wore gauntlets that had claws, and also contained wrist-mounted guns and grappling hooks. Around her waist was a utility belt that held several tools, ranging from remote activated shock mines to several knockout gas grenades.
This was the enigmatic and mostly unseen vigilante known as the Prowler, a figure known for breaking into high profile places (corrupt businesses, houses of dirty politicians, et cetera) to steal the information necessary to bring them to justice...
...and also for her daring and borderline suicidal one-woman crusade against the Hellfire Dragons, a Yakuza group that the other Pro Heroes, even All Might himself, hadn't been able to completely take down. A group that had roughly one hundred members together in one large mansion on the outskirts of Musutafu.
She took them down in one night.
And the Hellfire Dragons, the ones who weren't catatonic from sheer terror, gave her a new nickname from this experience.
The Amethyst Angel.
But shortly after that escapade, roughly a year ago, she seemed to disappear off the face of the Earth. Some wondered if she had been wounded, others wondered if she'd later died of wounds she might've received, and even more wondered if she had been captured by villains who wished her harm.
The truth wasn't anything so spectacular.
The truth was, one year ago was when Kaina Tsutsumi got her position as Class 1-A's Homeroom teacher.
And she wanted to focus more of her efforts on teaching and helping the next generation of Heroes achieve their true potential, rather than her nightly activities on bringing the corrupt and hidden evils of society to justice.
So she put away her Prowler costume and gear and put them in a lead-lined case and stashed it under the bed she shared with her girlfriend. There it stayed undisturbed...
...until tonight, when she and Nezu decided that they wanted a specific question answered.
"What the hell are you hiding, Aldera Junior High," she asked aloud, her voice modulator hiding her true voice.
Deciding to get on with it, she fired a grappling hook and zipped away towards the roof of the school.
It was time to get this job started...
-Three Days Later-
It was times like this that Izuku was thankful that he lived in his apartment by himself.
Because right now on this Saturday, the whole wall of his room was covered in pictures held up by push-pins, all connected by red string. This was him attempting to figure out his current case, even if it did look like the wall of some crazy conspiracy theorist.
Once he had DECA linked up to the other Hero Network Towers, he'd immediately set her on finding any more missing persons reports that happened in the areas the van was sighted.
He wasn't disappointed. Though in all honesty, he was very, VERY concerned.
For the past eight years, roughly 44 teenagers between the ages of 13-15 had gone missing, seemingly without a trace. No signs of a struggle, no items left behind, nothing evidence that would suggest any sort of foul play.
Though as he looked over the police reports, he found two big reasons why the police officers hadn't investigated too hard.
Of the 44 missing teenagers, 12 of them had either been living in the Eisley District or had gone missing in the Eisley District. Considering how the police precincts there were stretched as thin as a piece of paper, they likely couldn't spare too many to investigate.
That was assuming, of course, that they weren't in on it.
But what puzzled him the most were the remaining 32 teens who had gone missing. Mainly because even though they hadn't disappeared from the Eisley District, the police still hadn't investigated these for more than a week. Which struck him as odd, since you'd think the parents and families of these teens would be concerned. Along with that some of the districts these kidnappings took place in, including the Coruscant District of all places, had much stronger police presences and even Pro Hero Agencies in the area.
So why the hell was nobody investigating this?
Well as he looked into the teenagers who got kidnapped, he found out a few connecting threads between those 32. And the first one would definitely explain the lackluster efforts from the police.
First Thread: All of the 32 teens that had disappeared/been abducted outside of the Eisley District had been taken shortly after being expelled from their high school.
Which wasn't surprising to him. Expulsions in Japan weren't anything to scoff at. He'd seen plenty of articles and stories of how students getting expelled from school, hero school or otherwise, would often end up as vigilantes or villains because no one would let them enroll in other schools or hire them for jobs. In some scenarios, their own families would throw them out of the house.
And in the worst case scenarios he's heard plenty of horror stories where those former students, feeling like they had nothing left to live for, would end their own lives.
So yeah, not a pretty scenario.
And it would make sense as to why the police wouldn't investigate too hard on these disappearances. As far as they would be concerned, those ex-students probably just ran off to either become villains, vigilantes, or probably killing themselves in some fashion. Assuming of course they didn't just hop on a plane or a ship or something and hightailed it to another country, usually the United States, to try and start their lives over.
Fortunately he wasn't the cops, so he wasn't going to just drop this.
As for the second thread?
Second Thread: The high school the 32 were expelled from was UA High School, and each of them at the time had been in Class 1-A.
That definitely narrowed it down, and it made a lot of sense to Izuku and DECA. UA was the top hero school in Japan, and the Hero Course there was known for training some of the greatest of all time. Hell, most if not all of the current Top 50 were all UA Alumni. And while he knew better than to believe that all it took to be a Hero was a powerful or unique Quirk, he wouldn't lie that it would definitely help.
And that would definitely put a big target on the student's backs for Quirk Traffickers, who might see those unique/powerful Quirks in action and want them for their own reasons.
The only thing that didn't make sense was that A) out of these 32 UA teens, only about half of them had Quirks that would be considered powerful or unique; and B) these expulsions and subsequent kidnappings all occurred before the UA Sports Festival, which was often the first time the people of Japan, good or bad, would see these Quirks in action. So, how did these teens end up on some bad guy's radar when they were relatively unknown?
Though on second thought, he admitted that actually made a lot of sense. After all if they made a good first impression on Japan in the Sports Festival, to the point that people would be invested in their journey to becoming a Pro Hero, then if they suddenly disappear then they'll be more inclined to keep looking. Taking them before their debut would mean they'd still be unknown.
That might've been the end of it, except as he and DECA perused through the reports and student files, he found two other threads that connected the 32 UA teens.
Third Thread: The 32 were in their respective year's Class 1-A when it was being taught by Shota Aizawa.
It was true. Each of the 32 students that had been expelled from UA had been in Shota Aizawa's Homeroom Class 1-A. Which tied into fourth thread...
Fourth Thread: The kidnappings of the 32 UA students began shortly after Aizawa began teaching at UA.
He'd found the expulsion dates and he and DECA had linked them to the years he'd been teaching, and to the missing persons reports.
1st year: 2 expelled. Both went missing.
2nd year: 6 expelled. 4 went missing.
3rd year: 10 expelled. 5 went missing.
4th year: 12 expelled. 8 went missing.
5th year: 10 expelled. 6 went missing.
6th and final year: 20 expelled. 7 went missing. [1]
Izuku honestly couldn't wonder how he kept his job for so long. If I'd been the principal of that school, I'd have shoved a pink slip down his throat after the first expulsion, he mused in his head. Seriously, his reasoning was that these students "lacked potential for heroics." What the flying fuck do you know about potential, you hobo-looking motherfu-
At that moment his flaming train of thought was interrupted by DECA beeping and saying "Hey, I get that it's only a half day today, but that still doesn't give you an excuse to be late."
Looking at the time and realizing she was right, Izuku pushed a button on his phone and the wall his notes were on slid back a bit, before a false wall slid down out of the ceiling and locked into place. Once it was done, it looked indistinguishable from the rest of the room, even having some posters and a calendar on it. "There," he said happily while grabbing his backpack, making sure his suit was inside in the secret pocket. "Now if anyone does break in here, they won't see much."
"So," DECA asked as Izuku left the apartment, "given all of the data we've gathered for this case-"
"You make it sound like I'm some detective," Izuku joked.
"You pretty much are at this point," she replied. "But back on topic: given all of that data, the most logical conclusion is that whoever these Quirk Traffickers are, Aizawa was involved in some way. Either he was part of it before he became a teacher, or shortly after."
"I'm 99.9% sure it was before. None of the kidnappings for the expelled students happened until AFTER he became a teacher," he answered. "Though in that case, I have to wonder what the hell kind of screening process they have for the teachers."
"Considering they overhauled all of their screenings and their standards after they fired him, I'm guessing they were pretty poor." She hummed before saying "That being said, he's probably going to be our best lead to finding Himiko Toga and all the others who went missing."
"And all the others that never got reported, because you know as well as I do there's bound to be a few of them," he stated, just before he reached the train stop. "Since he's our best lead, we'll need to know everything we can about him. Do a deep dive on Aizawa."
"You wanna know what hospital he was born in," DECA asked, half-jokingly. She knew full well when Izuku was being serious.
"Deeper. I wanna know the name of the doctor that pulled him out of his mother's womb."
There was a groan from DECA, and she replied "As long as I don't have to see the process, you got it."
As the train pulled into the station and people began embarking/disembarking, Izuku chuckled before saying "In the meantime, can you see if he's got an address or a place he hangs out a lot? If we can find him-"
"-you'll tail him and either find where those teens are or beat the answer out of him. Yes, I can."
"Thank you," Izuku replied, before putting his phone away and getting on the train.
---
Nezu's eyebrows both raised up high as he looked at the information on his computer screen. "Well, that's infinitely concerning."
Over the last few days, Prowler had investigated not only Aldera Junior High, but also some of the staff and some of the members of the school board.
Her investigations had revealed quite a lot of disturbing things: incredibly Quirkist teaching material, letting students use their Quirks without consequence, the rampant bullying against those they dubbed "useless to society." AKA anyone with a weak or "villainous" Quirk, or those who were Quirkless. And let's not forget the absolute lack of Quirk Counseling for these students... How that school hadn't been investigated by the Ministry of Education was beyond Nezu's comprehension.
But the big one that Prowler had discovered last night, the one that definitely made his eyebrows raise, was what she had found in a hidden room within the Principal's House.
Hidden behind a false wall had been a small room filled with a bunch of posters, banners, and newspaper clippings.
All of it linked to one group in particular.
And the lynchpin of it all, on a pedestal in the middle of the small room, was a book.
One that had been banned for many, many decades.
The Meta Manifesto.
What was basically the equivalent to the Holy Bible for the infamous group known as the Meta Liberation Army.
The group that had become as infamous in Japan's history books as the Nazi's had become in Germany's. A group that believed in genetic superiority, primarily based around Quirks, and tried to enforce a caste system where one's Quirk determined their status and place in life.
And when they couldn't gain ground against the newly formed HPSC in the political field, they moved towards domestic terrorism.
Naturally they didn't make a lot of friends, and there was a lot of fighting spread over several years between them and the HPSC for supremacy in Japan. One where the HPSC came out on top, for better or worse. All of the major members of the MLA were captured and put in Tartarus; and all of the propaganda were found and confiscated, with all copies of The Meta Manifesto were incinerated and the book itself banned.
Kaina nodded at Nezu's reaction and said "Yeah, I wasn't too happy to see this either."
Nezu sighed. "Well, I can't exactly say I'm surprised. No matter how hard you try, you can never kill an idea."
"Yeah well, this was one idea that should've been burned in the fires of Hell," she grumbled, a clear edge to her voice.
Nezu didn't comment on her obvious display of anger, already having a good idea as to the reason why. "Well either way, all of the information you've gathered should be enough for the police to start an investigation into the Aldera School District."
"Good," she replied. "Sooner that place gets shut down, the better I'll feel."
"Indeed. I'll call in Tsukauchi for a meeting after school today." He then looked at her in concern and asked "Are you going to be okay?"
After a brief pause, she took a deep breath and nodded. "I'll be fine."
"Are you sure? I understand that this is-"
He stopped as she held up her hand. "Nezu, this is something I've been dealing with since I was the same age as my students. Arguably before that, considering..." She shook her head and finished "I'll be fine before my class starts."
While Nezu looked unconvinced, he eventually relented, though he did say "If you need to take a few minutes today and speak to Hound Dog, you can."
"Appreciated." Rising to her feet and walking to the door, she said "You should get that information to Tsukauchi ASAP. If the staff of the Aldera School District is part of some MLA revival movement, there's no telling how many others there might be."
She walked out before he could reply in the affirmative, before taking a turn down into a hallway that was void of any of the students or staff.
Leaving her perfectly alone with her thoughts, for better or worse.
Almost immediately she could hear the familiar voices, from memories that she wished that she never had.
"But Dad-"
SLAP!
"Let that be a reminder; disobedience will not be tolerated in this Army. Now, execute her, or else-"
She was mercifully jolted out of her memories when she heard her phone's ringtone.
Specifically, the ringtone she set for her girlfriend: Loser, Baby from Hazbin Hotel.
AKA, the song they sung at karaoke on their first date three and a half years ago.
Just hearing it was enough to make her smile, especially the memory of Fuyumi's face turning the same shade of scarlet as a tomato when she sang Angel Dust's parts of the song. It took every ounce of willpower she had not to burst out laughing at that.
Taking a deep breath, she pulled her phone out and answered it "Yes, Snow Angel?"
There was a giggle on the other end, and Kaina could just imagine her rolling her eyes and smiling. "Hey, Kaina." Her voice then turned to one of concern and she asked "Is there something bothering you?"
Confused, she asked "What do you mean?"
"Kaina, you and I have been living together for going on four years now. I know your tells. Last night after your little late night outing, you came home and gave me a lackluster 'Hey' and didn't even give me a kiss. You then proceeded to go straight for the shower, and stayed in there for way longer than your usual time."
"It wasn't that long."
"You were in there for a whopping ten minutes- BTW, you're covering the water bill this month- compared to your usual 3 minutes. 5 if you had a very intense training session or got covered in grease from working on your motorcycle. And I saw you walking to the shower and there wasn't a speck of grease on you."
"Wow. Yeesh, with eyes like that you'd make a helluva sniper-"
"Don't try to change the subject on me, Riza Hawkeye. It's not working. Especially since you then went straight to bed, without even getting a nibble of dinner. You never do that, especially when I make curry. AKA, your favorite."
Kaina's eyes widened at that. "Oh, shit. Are there any leftovers?"
There was a scoff from the other end. "Yes, Kaina. You don't really think I'd eat all of it, do you? But back on subject..." She sighed and said "Look, I'm not gonna push. But if something's bothering you-"
"There is," she admitted, cutting her off. "I... Let's just say I found some stuff out in my night job that's bringing up some bad memories."
"From your time in Tartarus?"
"Really bad memories."
"From your time as the HPSC's personal assassin?"
"Really REALLY BAD memories."
"You mean- OH! Okay, that explains so much."
"Yeah." She winced. "I'm sorry for making you worry like that. I-"
"Hey, I get it. Less that stellar childhood, abusive jackass of a father. Been there, done that."
Kaina couldn't help but laugh at that. "Yeah, I know. Look, I'll tell you what's going on tonight-"
"Okay. Does that mean you're taking the night off?"
"Sorry, not tonight. Trust me, when I explain it tonight, you'll understand."
"Alright. Well, I gotta get to my class before they tear the room apart."
"Yeah, I don't envy you," she replied with a laugh. "From what you told me those primary schoolers are ruthless."
"Eh, from what you tell me a few of your students aren't much easier. See you tonight. Love you."
"Love you too."
The call ended, and Kaina couldn't help but smile. "Thank you, Fuyumi," she said softly. "For being the most amazing person in my life."
"So, when are you gonna propose to her?"
It was only due to her years of training that she didn't immediately jump out of her skin.
It was also due to her recognizing that voice that she didn't immediately grab a hold of the speaker and pin them to the ground.
So instead she turned and smirked, seeing the familiar sultry smirk of Nemuri Kayama, AKA the R-Rated Heroine, Midnight. She was the Modern Arts teacher, as well as Class 1-C's Homeroom teacher.
She was also the first staff member to welcome her to UA with open arms (after Nezu, of course) and helped her find her footing as a teacher, so that earned her Kaina's friendship, and the right to make relationship jabs at her.
Laughing, she replied "I don't know. Probably when some villain gets lucky and finally carves open Endeavor's chest and rips out the burnt up piece of charcoal he calls a heart."
"We'd never get that lucky," Midnight deadpanned. "Besides, if any of the rumors were true he'd just resurrect as a full-blooded demon."
They both burst out laughing at that for several minutes, before pulling themselves together and heading down the hallway towards their respective classrooms while making idle chatter.
And watching this interaction through the security cameras was Nezu, who couldn't help but smile a little at this. I guess I had nothing to worry about after all, he mused.
---
Bakugo growled as he walked into homeroom that day, already seeing the students who were there shooting dirty looks at him. Fucking extras need to buzz the hell off.
It had started ever since they ran into Deku at the Support Course Lab. As if getting sent to the Rat-Principal's Office wasn't bad enough, he got an earful the whole way from All Might.
ALL MIGHT! Of all people! Thought he was a bully for trying to put Deku in his place.
While that wasn't enough to shatter the pedestal he put the Number 1 Pro Hero on, it was enough to inflict a significant crack upon it.
But then, of course, Bitch-sensei- which was in his opinion the only name she deserved because all she did was bitch at him- proceeded to tell the Rat-Principal her version of what happened.
Which in his opinion was anything but the truth.
Bitch-Sensei said he grabbed a hold of Deku and started verbally assaulting him.
No, he never assaulted him. Assaulting someone meant punching, kicking, or using some part of your body to inflict pain. Last he checked you couldn't hurt someone with words. Unless they were totally pansy-asses, which would probably count Deku. But still...
Bitch-Sensei then said that he threatened to use his Quirk on Deku, even popping a few explosions in his palm.
Okay, so fucking what? Quirks were meant to be used, just as much as your eyes, ears, mouth, or any one of the many muscles or limbs you had. That's what the teachers at that shitty Junior High school he went to taught them.
Bitch-Sensei then said, and he honestly couldn't believe this one, that he called Deku a 'Quirkist Slur."
Which in his opinion was complete and utter bullshit. How exactly could he be calling Deku a "Quirkist Slur" when the fucking nobody was QUIRKLESS?! What the hell kinda sense does that make?
Then came all the bullshit with the Rat-Principal. How the hell was he bullying Deku? If he had really been bullying Deku for ten freaking years, wouldn't the teachers at that shithole tell him to knock it the hell off?
Admittedly he had known that they were planning on mooching off of his future success, but they were mistaken if they thought he'd let them be anything more than a stepping stone in his origin story. It's why he chose that shitty no-name Junior High School despite his parents offering to send him to somewhere more renown and with a far more challenging curriculum.
Coming from an obscure and low-class Junior High and then rising to greatness through UA to become the next Number 1 Pro Hero?
That was the origin story stuff of legends!
But then... Deku had to come and ruin it all by attending UA. Even if he wasn't in the Hero Course, a small blessing in and of itself, he was still here! IN UA! His mere presence corrupted his vision of this once immaculate and great school. The fact that a Quirkless freak like him was even allowed to breath the same air as them was the same thing he would classify as Deku being allowed to continue existing: a crime against nature and a sign that Darwin's Theory of Evolution worked too fucking slow!
That wasn't even going into the fact that his parents grounded him for all of the shit he did to Deku for the past 10 years, and once again did that stupid thing where they said Deku was part of their family. Ignoring of course that he wasn't, since they weren't blood related to the Midoriyas in any way, shape or form! God, every time they said that stupid shit, it just made his blood boil! WHO THE FUCK WOULD EVEN WANT A QUIRKLESS FREAK LIKE THAT IN THEIR FAMILY!?
And then there was the fucking therapy visits. Ignoring how much he hated therapy -seriously if you really needed to sit down in an office and talk about how you're feeling you should just throw yourself in the fucking loony bin- he was now forced to sit in a chair for what felt like a small eternity being force fed the garbage psycho-babble of how his anger was out of control, and how he needs to think about how other people could be affected by his actions, and how heroes were meant to protect people and keep them safe and BLAH BLAH MOTHERFUCKING BLAH!
First off, his anger wasn't out of control! He lived his life like he always did; never holding himself back in any way, and unleashing himself in full force. Trying to get him to put a lid on his anger was going to take away his edge, which would make him weak!
Second, he didn't give a single solitary FUCK! about what people thought about him or how they were affected by his actions. He was going to be the next Number 1 Pro Hero, regardless of whatever the fucking naysayers said. And if his climb to the top was littered with the broken bodies of the fucking extras who tried to get in his way, so be it!
And lastly, all the bullshit about heroes protecting people and keeping them safe. Nobody ever remembered All Might, Endeavor, or any of the Top 10 for saving the lives of the mindless sheep that made up the majority of the population of Musutafu. They remembered them for the epic fights against strong villains and for the biblical beatdowns they gave. Any of the worthless sheep they saved was just "meh" icing on a subpar cake.
Seriously, if those useless extras can't offer anything useful or good for the greats/future greats like him, then what good were they?
But perhaps the most aggravating/confusing part, was that ever since that day the other extras in Class 1-A looked at him with looks of disgust and anger.
And to amplify the confusion, he had seen some of them (especially Round Face) hanging out with Deku at lunch. Even calling that loser their friend.
WHAT THE FUCK WAS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?! QUIRKLESS PEOPLE WEREN'T MEANT TO HAVE FRIENDS! THEY WERE BARELY EVEN MEANT TO BE TREATED AS PEOPLE!
The door opened and Bitch-Sensei walked in, jarring him out of his mental raging tirade. Just keep it together, King Explosion Murder. Once the Sports Festival happens and you show all of Japan who you are, the Extras will learn where they belong.
Down in the dirt with fucking Deku!
-Later that day-
Once school was let out Izuku and Ochako walked to the station together, where he gave a quick rundown of what he'd found so far.
Needless to say, she was shocked and very concerned. "Yeesh. I heard some of the other teachers making comments about this guy, but I didn't figure he was THAT bad," she stated.
"Probably because if they told all of you the truth, many of you would be packing up and looking for other schools," Izuku replied.
Ochako pondered that for a moment, before shrugging. "Maybe." She then looked at him and asked "So, this Aizawa guy might be behind Himiko's kidnapping?"
Izuku sighed. "I don't have any definitive proof of that. But given how 32 of the students he expelled ended up going missing, and our mystery black van was seen near almost all of their addresses, I think it's pretty likely. Even if he's not, he's involved in some way and he's my best lead."
DECA chimed in and said "Well I've looked through his personal files, and even though I can't prove anything, I'm fairly certain he's our guy."
Both Izuku and Ochako looked at each other before ducking away into a nearby alleyway that was empty. Once they were away from the sidewalks Izuku said "Okay DECA, spill."
"Well, Aizawa's story ain't a happy one. His parents died in a villain attack when he was five, and he was bounced around between foster homes. And yeesh, all of his foster homes were terrible. He was abused verbally, physically, and s-I'm not even going to speak about that one."
The both of them cringed, already guessing what she was meaning. "Okay, so he had a shitty childhood," Izuku summarized. "Keep going."
"Once he got into UA things weren't much easier. Keep in mind this was back when Quirks like his were mocked and/or scorned. And frankly, when he failed the Entrance Exam, he went on a tirade to the staff there, saying how it was rigged in favor of people who had flashy and or powerful Quirks, all to quote 'perfectly fit in with society's bias.'"
"Uh, not true," Ochako spat. "Sure, Quirks like that are great for destroying robots. But my Quirk just makes things float when I touch them. And I got classmates who's Quirks aren't powerful or destructive. Ojiro's Quirk is literally just a tail, and Hagakure is just invisible. Hell even fucking Mineta, the sexual harassment suit waiting to happen, managed to pass the Entrance Exam and get into 1-A. And his Quirk is positively pathetic!" [2]
"Yeah, the administration immediately pointed out to him that the robots had off switches that he could have found and used to disable them. They also pointed out that during the entire exam he didn't try to rescue or save his fellow examinees, which would've earned him Rescue Points. His response," she scoffed. "Get this, his response was 'if they really needed another hero to come save them, then they obviously don't have the potential to be a hero and they should just give up.' What a prick. The administration wasn't very happy with him, so they said he should just be thankful that they were letting him into the General Studies course, and that he should really work on his attitude or else he'd never get a chance to transfer in with the Sports Festival. He still somehow made it about his Quirk, and had to be escorted out by security."
Izuku digested that, before saying "So, he's clearly got a thing against people with Quirks that he deems strong or flashy. That does fit with most of the students he expelled. But what about the other people who got kidnapped? Himiko's Quirk is a subtle transformation Quirk, and a few of the others just had minor Healing or sensory Quirks."
"That I can't help you with. What I can say is that I poked around and found his last known address," DECA said proudly. "And it's why I think he might be our guy. Because as it just so happens, not only does he live on the edge of the Eisley District, but his apartment happens to be right next to an abandoned auto shop."
He nodded. "Perfect place to hide a creepy kidnapping van," he stated.
Ochako smiled at that, a flicker of hope in her eyes. "I take it that-"
"Yep," he said, popping the 'p.' "Our mutual friend is going to swing over tonight and have a nice little chat with that sorry excuse for a teacher."
-Meanwhile, inside UA-
"Why exactly do you want me to go snooping around Aizawa's apartment?"
Kaina had just been about to leave for the day, to travel to the little secret safehouse and grab her Prowler suit and continue looking into the Aldera School District, when Nezu had called her into his office to discuss something.
When she closed the door, Nezu activated his handheld signal jammer to make sure nobody could listen in on what he was about to say, before asking her to investigate Shota Aizawa's apartment.
To her shock, Nezu's face morphed into one of shame and slight anger at her question. "Because I believe I may have made a terrible mistake." Seeing her confused expression, he continued "One of my contacts in the vigilante underground told me that someone was asking questions about Aizawa on one of the Vigilante Forums; Shadow Justice. When they were asked why, they revealed... THIS."
He turned his computer monitor around, and Kaina looked over the information...
...and if it were possible, her jaw would've dropped through to the floor, and then right through it all the way down into UA's basement.
"All of these students... the ones he expelled... Oh my god," she stammered out, finding it hard to form whole sentences. Once she regained her composure, she incredulously asked "How in the flying fuck did we not see this? How the fuck did you, one of the smartest beings in existence, not see this?!"
Nezu sighed. "Just because I have a hyper-intelligence Quirk doesn't mean I know or see everything. There are things even I don't know, and I can still be blindsided by things I'm not completely aware of."
"Fair point," Kaina conceded. "You really think Ass-zawa's involved in this?"
"All the evidence that this GreenSpider has shown points in his direction. While I doubt he's the man in charge, I believe at the very least there's an 86% chance of him being involved."
"And he's probably our best chance at finding those missing kids," she finished. "Alright, I'll check and see what I can find."
As she turned to leave, Nezu added "Oh, and by the way, have you heard the rumors about this new vigilante?"
"Spider-Man," she asked. "Yeah. And I'm willing to bet that he and GreenSpider are the same guy."
Nezu gave a small smile at that. "Well, given how he was asking about it, don't be surprised if he shows up at Aizawa's apartment."
She chuckled at that. "I'll go easy on him."
-Aizawa's Apartment, Later That Night-
From his perch on top of a nearby building, Spider-Man surveyed the apartment building that Aizawa lived in. It was seriously a dump; with garbage pretty much surrounding it, broken windows barely covered by wooden boards, and just a general sign that nobody cared about this place. Just like the person who lives here, he mentally mused.
Activating his Advanced Recon Mode, he scanned over the building to see if there was anyone inside or near Aizawa's apartment. "Yeesh. I can see why rent is dirt cheap. There's barely anyone living here."
"Yeah, that might be because the landlord has repeatedly gotten complaints for faulty wiring, fire hazards, the broken windows," DECA said, continuing listing off reasons for a few seconds before she said "I've looked through the camera's in the area. So far, Aizawa hasn't been home since yesterday."
"So we're in the clear for a little investigat-"
At that moment, an alert popped up on his visor. "Silent alarm triggered at a jewelry store down the block," DECA stated, though Spider-Man was already swinging towards it.
"Any hostages?"
"Place closes down at six, so no one's there except the six guys breaking and entering."
He web-zipped to a nearby streetlamp and said "Well, let's see what we're working with."
He didn't have to wait long, as three men came walking out of the building carrying their ill-begotten treasure.
And Spider-Man happened to know all three of them.
The first man was a giant similar to Stone, but the difference was that he clearly had a Mutant Rhino Quirk; mottled gray skin, a rhino head complete with the ears and two horns along his snout, and his beefy muscular legs ended in rhino feet. The only thing that wasn't gray or rhino-like was his black eyes and his dark orange hair, and his black leather jacket and his ripped up blue jeans.
The second man was a mostly human looking guy with hair the color of sand, and his yellow eyes looked like they were made of glass. He was dressed in brown pants and a green stripped sweater. Holstered in his belt were several metal canisters that Spider-Man knew were filled with sand, that the man could use his Quirk to control.
The last man was rather lean, wearing nothing but a sleeveless muscle shirt that showed off scorpion tattoos on each arm. As if that weren't enough of a clue, jutting from out of his back was a large sickly green scorpion tail, with the stinger just dripping with dark green venom. He wore a baseball cap that hid his hair, though Spider-Man had seen it enough times to know it was short cut and sickly yellow, which almost matched his eyes.
They were, in order: Grey Sai, Sabaku, and Dokusei Sasori.[3]
And how did he know this?
Because while they were mostly just a bunch of thieves and robbers, they got elevated to C-Rank Villains after they're last bank robbery ended up with three people hurt, one of whom being a rookie Pro Hero. Fortunately the two civilians weren't seriously injured, though the hero had been stung by Sasori's scorpion tail had to be taken to the ER to get treated for the venom and was on medical leave for several weeks.
As he was about to swing down there and dispense some vigilante justice, he noticed a flash of purple and green out of the corner of his eye. He looked down...
...and his eyes widened as he saw the purple and green vigilante looking at him from the entrance to an alleyway. She looked up at him and started making hand gestures that he recognized as JSL (Japanese Sign Language) I'll handle Sandy and Stinger. Think you can handle the Big Guy?
Smirking under his mask, he signed back Yeah I can handle this. BTW, big fan. But what are you doing here?
Saw your posts on the Shadow Justice forum. Figured you could use a hand from an old veteran.
Awesome! Glad to have you on board.
Thanks. But let's take care of these jackasses before they get away.
Nodding, he loaded up an Impact Web on each Web Shooter and signed Count backwards from three, then move in.
Once she nodded, Spider-Man launched himself off the streetlamp and above their getaway car. Once he was above it he took aim at the sides of the car and fired the Impact Webs, plastering the doors shut. He then landed on the car and faced the three of them. "Evening gentlemen," he said.
Sasori gave a sinister smile when he saw him. "Well well well, if it isn't the Spider-Man."
"Huh. My reputation precedes me."
Sai walked forward, cracking his large knuckles. "Yeah. You've been a major pain in the ass to some of our associates."
"Enough that we're sure our boss will give us a big payday for bringing you in," Sasori added, his tail twitching in excitement.
That definitely piqued his interest. "Your Boss wouldn't have happened to have been the guy to order the Fixers to try and squash me, would he?"
"That's on a need-to-know basis, Wallcrawler," he replied. "And you don't need to know, you just need to die. Sabaku?"
Sabaku sighed as he reached for his belt and picked out a canister of sand. "Nothing personal, pal. It's just-Huh?"
His exclamation came from his wrist being grabbed and painfully twisted, forcing him to job the canister. "OW! What the f-"
He and his two compatriots turned, only to see nothing there. Until the air started shimmering and Prowler appeared. "Hello, boys," she said happily.
Unlike their reaction to Spider-Man, the three of them reacted with shock and horror to the appearance of the Prowler. "SHIT," Sasori shrieked before lunging with his tail and trying to sting her, only for a web-line to stick to his tail and hold it back.
Smirking, Spider-Man quipped "Keep your tail to yourself, man."
Before he could say or do anything else, Sai rushed forward and threw a haymaker at Spider-Man. Dropping the web-line, he dodged and jumped over the massive arm. As he was in mid-air he flipped around and threw a punch at the rhinoceros man's face, which barely seemed to phase the large man.
As he was doing this, Prowler fired a blast of green energy from her wrist gun into Sabaku, arcs of that energy coursing through him until he went limp and fell to the ground like a sack of potatoes. Looking at Sasori, she asked "You wanna surrender, or you wanna test your luck?"
Growling, Sasori pulled out two knives and settled into a combat stance, his tail hovering over his head menacingly. "I'm gonna enjoy killing you, Prowler."
Back with Spider-Man, he dodged a vending machine that had been thrown at him by Sai, landing on the street just as the villain started charging at him. Deciding not to waste anymore time dragging this fight out, he charged up and threw a Venom Punch, nailing the man in the face and sending him flying and crashing into their getaway car. A quick scan of the man showed that he was out cold, but he'd live. "Gotta wonder if they'll send you to Tartarus or the zoo," he said.
Prowler grunted as she pushed back Sasori's knives, blocking them with her armored gauntlets. He laughed and said "If this is all you have, Prowler, then maybe you should've stayed-URK!"
The rest of his sentence was cut of as Spider-Man pulled him back with his webs before kicking him back towards Prowler, who spun around and nailed Sasori with a clothesline, knocking him to the ground. Before he could get back up, she blasted him with her wrist-gun, knocking him completely out.
With the fight done, they looked at each other and Spider-Man asked "So, you wanna let the cops know, or should I?"
---
Once they called the cops and watched from the shadows as they took the three into custody (with Prowler taking note of Spidey leaving his little calling card) the two of them compared notes before sneaking into Aizawa's apartment. Once they made sure there were no unpleasant surprises, Prowler used a piece of metal to flip open the window latch so they could get in.
Once they slipped in, Spider-Man nearly gagged. "Ugh, this place is disgusting."
He wasn't wrong, Prowler admitted. Dirty clothes were strewn everywhere, his trashcan was overflowing with old takeout containers, and the ones that couldn't fit were stacked up at least a foot high on the counter. All of that together made for a terrible stench that just permeated the entire apartment.
"So glad I got a nose filter in my mask," she muttered, unaware of Spider-Man looking at her with a hint of jealousy.
"Note to self, remember to add that to my next mask," he grumbled, before putting a finger to the side of his mask. "Time to test out my Forensics Mode."
Prowler turned around to ask, but then saw that the lenses of his mask had turned blue, casting light on the ground wherever he looked. "Blacklight," she asked.
He nodded. "And a whole lotta next gen scanning tech. Combine that with the database I got installed in this thing and I'm basically a walking CSI team."
Not that it showed through her mask, but one of her eyebrows were raised at that declaration. "You say that like you built it yourself."
"Because I did," he said, looking at Aizawa's lumpy and unmade bed. "Why do you ask?"
Prowler shrugged, deciding to look through the large stack of mail on Aizawa's counter that looked like it hadn't been touched in months. "Curiosity. It's not everyday I see a teenage vigilante with that level of tech."
"What makes you so sure I'm a teenager," he asked, looking at some odd marks on the floor near the wall next to Aizawa's bed.
"Aside from your height and your body's size and type? Your voice modulator was a good idea, but I can still tell when your voice cracks. Don't feel bad about it though. Puberty's a bitch."
He sighed. "I'm just thankful I haven't gotten any humongous zits. And as for my tech-" he continued as he followed the marks on the floor "-that's my business."
"Fair enough," she replied, looking at the latest envelope addressed to Aizawa. "Yeesh, guy's really behind on his rent. This is his final notice. If he doesn't cough up his rent money he's out on the streets."
"Well from what I've heard he already dresses like a hobo, so he'll fit right in," Spider-Man said, running his hands over the paneling on the wall.
Confused, Prowler asked "What exactly are you looking for?"
Continuing his search, Spider-Man pointed at the ground replied "Well, there's scratch marks on the floor next to his bed. They lead right to this wall and just disappear."
Kneeling down and running her hand over the ground where he pointed, she found that he was right. There were two parallel scratches in the faded hardwood flooring. "Okay. But couldn't that just mean he had a nightstand or something here?"
"I thought so too, until I noticed there weren't any marks on the paneling here. Plus, listen to this."
He knocked three times on the panel next to the scratches, and all she heard was the sound of knocking on wood. "Okay, so?"
"Now listen to this one."
He rapped three times on the panel above the scratches, and instead of hearing the sound of knocking on wood she was treated to the sound of knocking on a sheet of- "Metal," she asked.
Spider-Man nodded. "Metal. This panel was replaced, and I'm willing to bet it's hiding something that the former Hobo-Sensei of Class 1-A doesn't want people to see." Turning back to it, his lenses started cycling through colors to indicate the different vision modes. "Only thing is, we need to figure out the trick to popping it open."
"I got a plasma cutter in my gauntlet it-"
"No! Bad idea." He turned to her and she saw that his lenses were now mostly black save for two small pinpricks of white in the center. "I just X-Rayed this thing. While the inner contents are lead lined, I can still see just behind the panel. He rigged it."
That definitely got her attention, so she activated her mask's own X-Ray vision and took a look. "Sonuvabitch. Good catch. That's a thermite charge," she noted, giving Spider-Man a look. "If I tried to cut through that, this whole apartment would go up and us with it."
"Not to mention it could also hurt the other people in the building," Spider-Man noted before looking above the panel and to the ceiling, seeming to follow some sort of invisible line. "But I think I figured out the trick."
Following where he was looking, she saw what appeared to be a power cable that lead from the panel over to the breaker box on the far wall. Seeing Spider-Man open it, she asked "What are you gonna do? Flip switches and hope it'll open it?"
She heard Spider-Man chuckle. "Nah." He held up his hand as red sparks started gathering around it. "This is faster."
Before she could comment he placed his palm on the breaker box, his bioelectric Venom Blast coursing through it. The lights on it started going crazy, before there was a loud CLICK! and the panel came out of the wall, revealing that it was the face of a hidden drawer.
Walking back, Spider-Man laughed and said "No, please! Hold your applause."
She rolled her eyes, but gave him a friendly punch on the shoulder. "Not bad, Spider-Man." Looking down at the drawer, she said "So, let's see what Ass-zawa's hiding."
Spider-Man couldn't help but laugh at that. "Ass-zawa. That's priceless. I'm using that if and when he go to take him in."
As they both started going through the the drawer, they immediately felt a bit of rage building up in their hearts.
The biggest majority of the contents were pictures of the teens who had been kidnapped. That wasn't surprising. But what was were the files. Specifically, they were medical files; one for every kidnapped person. Along with that were handwritten notes and what looked like they're personal schedules, all of which Prowler noted was in Aizawa's handwriting based off of a note she found on his fridge.
Spider-Man growled. "Okay, I didn't like this guy before. But now? This guy better pray that you get to him first, because if I do he'll have a hard time eating prison slop without any teeth."
"Trust me, you're gonna want to get him first," Prowler growled in response. "Especially if I find that he- Huh?"
She held up a small faded photograph, an old Polaroid. It showed what looked like a younger Aizawa, roughly 15 years old, with a boy his age with blue hair.
Seeing the photo, Spider-Man pointed at the other boy and asked "Who's that? He kinda looks familiar."
Prowler sighed sadly. "Oboro Shirakumo. He was a UA student a long time ago. He got killed during a villain attack during his 2nd year internships."
Based on his lenses, Spider-Man winced. "Ouch. Wait, was this guy friends with Aizawa?"
She nodded. "Yeah. From what Nezu told me that Present Mic and Midnight told him, he saw the whole thing happen. And supposedly he was never the same afterwards." Seeing Spider-Man staring at the picture, she asked "What are you thinking?"
"Let's just say I'm wondering if that event plays into why he's doing this in some way," he replied. "Is there anything on the back of it?"
Flipping it over, they both saw that there was writing on the back: Garage: 6-09-2119.
They both shared a look, and Prowler asked "How much you wanna bet that he's hiding something in that garage next door?"
"One way to find out," Spider-Man replied, heading over to the window.
-Meanwhile-
"Please," a young girl's voice called out. "Please... just let me go."
Fear filled her as the dark clothed man looked into her cell, opening her door and walking in. With a flick of his one arm, a metallic strip of... something wrapped around her and bound her arms to her sides. Desperate and afraid, she tried to activate her Quirk so she could break free, only for her to see his glowing red eyes and feel her Quirk fading away.
Then she heard him growl out "Quit your whining. It's time for you to go to sleep."
He took a deep breath, before exhaling and a blood red mist that filled up the room. She held her breath for as long as she could, but eventually she caved and took in several gulps of air. That proved to be her undoing, as she quickly began feeling lightheaded and sleepy, while her nose was assaulted by the strong smell of... flowers.
Before long, darkness overtook her and she felt herself being dragged out of her cell.
And the last thing she saw before she fell asleep were those two horrible, glowing red eyes...
To Be Continued...
[1]: I don't know for sure if these numbers are accurate, since we're never given any actual years for when he's been teaching or the numbers of how many students he's expelled in said years. My original plan was to have him be there for ten years and have him expelled roughly 100 students, but I figured that by that point UA would've been shut down, whether by the HPSC (which would have a vested interest in UA given how they're helping to teach the next generation of heroes, that would hopefully make the Commission money) or by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (which is a real thing. Google it.) for letting Aizawa's bullshit go on for that long. Sure, five years might be pushing it (not counting the 6th year since he was fired on the first day for that stunt in this story) but it's certainly more plausible than him still being allowed to teacher there after expelling his entire class on the first day of school.
[2]: Did I mention that I am sick and fucking tired of hearing Aizawa and Shinsou moaning and bitching about how the Entrance Exam is biased/rigged? Admittedly the thing about the off switches is a fan idea, but given how Ojiro, Hagakure and Mineta managed to get into the Hero Course, I'd say it's a very likely possibility. Aizawa, Shinsou? If those three can get into the Hero Course on the first try, you two grumpy-asses officially have no excuse!
[3]: These are OCs. Their names mean, in order, Grey Rhino, Desert, and Venomous Scorpion. Yes, I used Google translate when I was figuring out their names. No, I am NOT subtle. And yes, these three will return as more classic Spider-Man villains.
Welp, that was a long chapter. Hopefully a good one. Got to meet Lady Nagant's alter ego the Prowler, and see a little team up fight with her and Spider-Man. And some future villains that will almost certainly be coming back with serious upgrades. And they're definitely on the right track on finding Toga and the other kidnapped people.
And I'm sure a lot of people are going to be wondering what the hell is going on with Aizawa, and why he's doing this (assuming the picture wasn't a clear enough indicator.) Let's just say that I'm using a bit of a fanfic idea that I kinda wished ended up becoming Canon, with a few modifications.
Also, is it just me, or does Aizawa seem to have another Quirk? That's... a bid odd. ;)
All your questions will find their answers in the coming chapters. Mostly.
Until next time, EXCELSIOR!

Note
Okay, here are the few questions I have for your latest emoji asking...
1.💥
2.🏷️
3.🥳
4.🎬 Especially the casting of Phantom(Mingling)
-honestly, I thought she was a lot similar to Bellatrix Lestrange...so the same actor would be a good cast?
I also had a question about the relationships (cough romantic cough ..) between the characters. But decided to ask later because It would be too long. So, would it be okay for you if I ask about them seperately later?
Also P.S: If you have any questions or things curious about me ...feel free to ask!
💥 What is one canon thing that you wish you could change?
If I could change one thing for the canon, I would like something that the third movie could have done better, the way I hear most pandoms used to enjoy, but did later find the plot a bit rushed and had the film become light rather than too dark like KFP 2 did. What I wished to play out in the story was to expand Kai's background story.
Listen. We all know Oogway's story of how he met his yak brother in the war 500 years ago; the two brothers became the most badass warlords who fought battles and bonded their armies together until Kai turned back against him because of Oogway's change and his chi power, he claimed souls for strength, went too close to the sun.
Tumblr media
Kai did say to the Jade Palace masters that he loved Oogway like a brother, and he betrayed him. If there's something that the plothole needs to fill, I want to know why did Oogway betray him for? There must be a reason that caused their brotherhood/friendship to fragment during their warlord days before Kai turned evil, and I want to know more!
Tumblr media
I wish there was more to reveal that Kai discovered something to steal their chi. And. . . hear me on this one. . .
Kai's jombies steal masters, one by one. 95 minutes weren't enough, and I prefer to have around 2hrs and 30mins, maybe closer to 3hrs (if you are Peter Jackson or Zack Snyder), because the Dragon Warrior is dealing with the unknown beast from the Spirit Realm who took his friends, and his family, building several tensions with a few twists and turns before Po can discover what he can do to defeat Kai the hard way.
Tumblr media
There are plenty of fic stories that feature Kai (including mine, too!) and a comic I found. Those books introduce Kai and Oogway during their warlord days and have background stories. I'll reblog with links, and @amateraponzu 's comic fic Wish Upon the Stars on Tumblr.
🏷 (hopefully, this is the tag emote I found) Is there a tag you like to search for when looking for fanfics to read?
Not really. I have yet to search for any fics to catch my eye; I would like to read anything interesting from old fics when I was stuck writing my fanfic series. But of course, reminding me of the tags (stories), I need to catch up with other fics, like @shootbangdang 's The Vale, @mastrrt 's To the Weeping River, and Drags's Mongol fic Winds of Change. All three fics are from FanFiction, and they are worth timing to read!
(Drags! You are the stupendous author, and I must say your fic is well written to see Po, Tigress, and Crane head to Mongolia and grab the secret weapon before anyone gets it! The characters (your OCs too), action scenes, your writing, my lord!)
While I am having a break from writing a sequel book for now, only to start editing my two novels, I highly recommend reading Drags's fic first, Righteous Flame. That goes for all pandoms! His book is stellar.
🥳 Why did you start writing fanfic?
There are reasons why I started a fic. I wanted to start writing because it's part of my hobby. Not only a hobby that I would like to be an author of someday (if I could make my own Narnia/Lord of the Rings/Game of Thrones worldbuilding with my polar bear character), I write for those who I love and friendships irl. Friends of mine who I am with from high school and Wing Chun class, and families of mine who I grew up with and raised together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My first book had me write for my mates and my master from the Wing Chun class. Dedicated to building a kung fu panda fic after I watched KFP 3, I started writing for my real-life companions. It was a rough start to begin there without planning to build a structure (yeah, I was a noob writer), but I could have created layers before I must write. Two years later, I knew where to end my first book. And later on, worldbuilding is the most challenging one for my fic series.
Not a simple task for my fic to name cities, countries, etc., but I'll leave notes on what places have instead of losing puzzle pieces. And trust me, when you plan to write a giant fic, make a plan, build structures with one stone at a time, create vivid characters, and develop tensions. All books should have conflicts featuring a hero and villain. Make your villains play an unfair game! Make your hero's journey and have his struggles to see challenges before achieving success!
Writing is not easy. And it still feels like it, but it rewards you for accomplishments. Even when you finish the book, always edit your first drafts, build some details, and fill in plotholes.
🎬 If a movie or a show were based on your fic, which fic you'd you choose, and who would you fan cast?
A show can be promising for the Mightiest Warriors Series because there are depths and interesting characters to know more about. A movie makes it simple around 2 to 3 hours (depending) for the story, but it might have a few plotholes if my fanfic series would be based on.
Now, I like how you picked my most menacing villain, Mingling. She deserves to have an actress voicing the black bear. Her personality blends with three major characters that I was inspired by, making the most dangerous antagonist so far.
The Wicked Witch of the West (Wizard of Oz)
Tumblr media
Marisa Coulter (His Dark Materials)
Tumblr media
Cersei Lannister (Game of Thrones)
Tumblr media
*Now I like what you first thought of Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter, so that's a huge BONUS for my wildest child because Mingling fits in insanity!*
Tumblr media
Ahem! How will I like to pick the actress? Her character's favorite color is purple (more like a royal, but I prefer her to go aggressive and extremely menacing, like Lord Shen), so my top picks are. . .
Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister). She can play out the gruesome character who cares for ruling and satisfaction to attempt to succeed in her vengeance. Compared to what she becomes lethal, Cersei loves her brother. No one else but him. With that sibling relationship, I think of Mingling fonding my bovine character Huoju. Lena Headey can play out her villainous role.
Tumblr media
Ruth Wilson (Marisa Coulter). Oh my!!! If you have seen her in the show His Dark Materials (based on the trilogy novel), please. . . do not test her! Knowing what she does to love her daughter but lacks her parental type, she's brilliant, ruthless, and daring. Bringing Ruth in will fill my bear's affection for Mingling's only mate Huoju, and to be frank, like I mentioned the bear's revenge, she will not be stopped, despite her hostility and anger did startle a few characters of mine.
Tumblr media
Just look at her! Ain't she a beauty? Now, look how gruesome she can be in the show. . .
Tumblr media
Despite how serious Ruth Wilson's character is in His Dark Materials, oh boy!! Imagine you are a child, and you see Mrs. Coulter's smile and fierce eyes; she looks right at you before she can scare you. As I said, please, for the love of the heavens, do not test her! Ruth Wilson is perfect for a villain role!
Tumblr media
PHEW! Lots of questions I answered. Thank you for these emotes, Righteous Flames! I'll be back for some fic links whenever I tag you!

I have FEELINGS about the new Tears of the Kingdom game.
No want spoilers- plz scroll!! I need someplace to word vomit a bit and this should be the only post
Mkay so this is so I can see if I nailed it or got it WILDLY wrong... Because I gotta know.
The game is decently hard not gonna lie 😅 I'm struggling a bit even having come in straight from BotW.
I'm absolutely in love with Rauru... Ah. I'm certain he's taken but just AH. He's beautiful and sweet and kind and just AH. Also. Ded. VERY ded. Held on long enough to save Link many thousands of years in the future from when he lived... But he's gone after that first bit- and that KILLED me... And then it killed me again to realize... We're going to see his death (again) aren't we? Before his spirit fades... Because of all the time hubub... We're gonna see all that. And I just NOOOO!! It broke my heart already to see the sacrifices he made that I've seen!!! ... And I'm absolutely dreading one of the possibilities... That when Rauru succeeded in trapping Ganondorf... The gloom/withering stuff ate away at his body until nothing was left but his hand. As in.. He remained trapped in spirit down there like that after suffering HORRIBLY. Thousands and thousands of years. *Shudders* this damn game may well break my heart if I'm right.
I also have the hunch that Rauru was the reason his home didn't fall out of the sky/remained hidden away... And now that he's gone, it's crumbling and is doomed to fall entirely. (Thinking Ganon wiped out his people... OR, worse, Rauru is the only one of his kind 😅 don liek dat- though the former is absolutely worse... Mass culling bad/sad)
The shrines are a bit.. odd.. but they seem to be merged into another realm or something... Something outside of and beyond time. Absolutely beautiful... Though strange. And it killed me again to listen to that beautiful text when a shrine is completed because it sounds like a male and female singing... Like the essence of who the Statues represent. Beautiful Harmony. Dagger... Meet heart TT^TT
The other thing that's nagging at me... Is I'm starting to wonder if with all this time stuff ... If Link and Zelda (our very same protagonists) aren't the two depicted on the murals... The hero and princess from 10,000 years ago sealing Ganon away... As time repeats the cycle. Again and again. Perhaps Ganondorf did not merely recognize the "descendants" or "reincarnations" of the hero and princess... Perhaps him recognizing them was him recognizing THEM... Juuuust not WHEN he is.
I'm pretty certain some of the stuff I've run into is time fuckery with things having been thrust forward perhaps... But I'll be happy to help wrong about that.
I have so many more questions... Like why the dragon/animal motifs everywhere for the Zonai? What significance or relation do the dragons have to Rauru (and/or his people if he's not the only one)? Because that was made EXTREMELY clear right off the bat. What are the constructs made of? What's that stone? Why is that temple in the sky called the temple of time?! Is Link going to end up with his normal arm again with all the cleansing? Did Rauru do all those weird modifications himself? He was obs born- he has a belly button... Right? Is the Shekiah technology BECAUSE of the Zonai? I don't think he was, but was Rauru the one to banish/shun them?? (I've always had the feeling they did something they weren't supposed to to achieve what they did.. will we find out?) Where the FUCK are all the guardians and towers and old shrines??? WHERE GO?! Those things were EVERYWHERE and HUGE... WHERE GO??!!
What exactly is the thing implanted in Ganondorf's forehead, and how does it relate to the one he steals it from and/or the triforce?
I have more... But right now I'm too tired 😅
Dear gods... This game is fucking HUGE... But I think we'll get there.
Also.. LOVE the underground foliage.. absolutely love it. *Chef's kiss* perfection. Love every bit if it (though I DON'T love the gloom- ouchies!!)

Lance finding out that Gardienne killed herself? After a while of her being in the HQ again, he has fallen in love with her. She just couldn't bear those seven years, having lost that many people and being here just to save this world by suffering.
He wanted to tell her he loved her, he knocked her door, he worried bc no one answered, and he finds her hanged up.
I know this is really specific, it's just kind of my OC ending😅😅 anyway, I'd understand if you weren't comfortable with this.
So I’m going to talk about the boundaries of what I write for a moment, starting by saying that I will write this BUT I won’t write detailed suicide scenes due to the sensitive nature of it.
This ask isn’t asking for a detailed scene, its asking for the effects the decision has on Lance, and because it’s asking for the long-term effects and not a scenario I’m just fine with writing this.
Thank you for asking this, Anon, genuinely. Being this specific was probably what gave me the push to write this in the end because I know you were looking for the reaction and not the actual scene. This is a good example of a post that walks along the lines of what I will and won’t write so anyone requesting future asks with a similar subject gets a better idea of what to ask.
Also, I apologize for how long this took to write. This ask was, unfortunately, the one that spent the most time eaten in my drafts folder so I couldn’t work on it until about a week ago. Fortunately that gave me a lot of time to think over how to best write this, so I think this’ll be appropriately written considering the subject.
*Warning / Note: This post contains heavy depressive themes and suicidal mentions, as evident by the ask and what I wrote above. I’m aware that this is a very sensitive subject and I intend to treat it with appropriate seriousness. This is not a happy post, please only read this if you know this won’t lead you down a dark path. To me, writing is another form of art, meant to express and draw out emotions from the audience, so I won’t subside the intensity of my writing even with this being a sensitive subject. I don’t intend to drive anyone to harm themselves, but I do intend to write with the intensity that I always do because this is my artform; so please prepare for heavy themes or don’t read if you’re not comfortable with this. On a side note: I care about everyone, I really do, so please take care of yourselves. If you’re feeling depressive or suicidal, talk to someone, please. There is always someone who cares about you.
Technically Guardienne's death may have a major adverse effect on Eldarya due to her link with the crystal, but for the sake of this ask I'll ignore any possible effects like that.
~Under the cut~
Lance’s reaction to Guardienne’s suicide:
Lance had seen a lot of terrible things in life and had done many terrible things in his life, but this reached a new type of fucked up for him. Not because it's truly disturbing - although it is deeply disturbing - but because it fucked him up even more in a way that he neither thought could be possible nor that he could bear.
He’s convinced that he’s cursed; everything that’s happened to him has been his fault. He started the war within Eldarya, destroyed so many faeries’ lives, killed his own brother, and now the woman he loved is dead because of him as well. Sure, he wasn’t the one to tie the rope around her neck, but there are signs for these sorts of things. Was he truly that blind that he couldn’t see that she was in pain? Did he ever truly love her if he couldn’t see the pain? Would she have done anything differently if he wasn’t there to constantly remind her of everything that was lost?
Lance believes he deserves this. He’s caused so much pain and agony for everyone, it only makes sense that he should be the one in pain now. Lance won’t try to fight the agony he’s in, he’ll let himself drown in it for nights on end to wake up - or not even sleep to begin with - feeling exhausted, reckless, irritated and - overall - worthless. He’s sure to emerge from his room in the morning without the slightest hint that he’s been sobbing quietly with the feeling of a dagger twisting itself over and over within his chest all night, and he’ll refuse to answer any questions about if he’s alright after the recent events. He was the one to find her after all; it would make sense that he was hit the hardest...
In the daytime he’ll be rough and withholding, keeping the Obsidian guard in a tight hold to reflect how he needs to hold himself tightly to keep from falling apart. It’s one thing for him feel and express emotions, but this feeling is an entirely different thing; this is something that should not be released into Eldarya. He realizes it and knows that this feeling - something that he recognizes all too well from his past - threatens to destroy everything that he worked so hard to gain in the past seven years.
Mathieu will notice Lance’s change in temperament immediately, and being the kind man he is he’ll want to be there for the dragon, but Lance won’t be looking for comfort; he’ll be looking for something that will change the past and take back everything that happened. But that’s impossible - he knows that - and so he’ll be stuck in a state of limbo, deemed to mourn for his unknown, unrealized love until... something happens to change him.
Ice cold fear will wash over him some days as he recognizes the familiar feeling that haunted him in the past, and while he’ll be aching to reach out to lean on someone for support - afraid of this feeling overwhelming him again - he’ll feel that he can’t lean on anyone. He doesn’t deserve that support at this point after all he’s done, and there’s so many others who are busy grieving; the guard needs him to be strong now. However, on occasion - when he has a clear mind - he’ll grieve gently with someone who’s somewhat close to him, sharing kind memories of Guardienne and gently advising them to spend time around friends if his co-worker feels it’s needed. He’ll never completely break in front of anyone though, he can’t bring himself to.
However, Lance falls apart immediately when he’s alone, sometimes even lingering in the conference room for a few minutes after a meeting to allow himself the private time alone to recollect himself. Grief will randomly hit him throughout the day, constricting his throat, burning his chest, and glassing over his eyes - and every time he’ll excuse himself from his company to isolate himself until he regains control again. This, of course, is taken into notice by a few others around the guard, and slowly there’ll be people who realize that Lance is not fine.
This becomes a further issue over time as his grief slowly turns into anger and disgust, and this is when that familiar, ominous feeling from his past really rears it’s ugly face. He should have seen something. Was he really that terrible to her that she felt she couldn’t trust him? Was everyone really that blind to not see her hurting?
Lance finds that he begins to choose to isolate himself, mentally and physically. He’ll leave the guards members alone that have stated they need time off, but he won’t be very forgiving with those who have chosen to continue their work but seem to be slacking. His mentality is that if you can’t handle continuing on, then don’t offer your service as it’ll become a hindrance, and this quickly becomes a major issue.
Huang Hua - knowing how important Guardienne was to Eldarya, and the guard especially - has let it be known that if anyone needs a break from their responsibilities, then it’ll be allowed, but she will stress that those who feel they can continue to function please try to do so, and be lenient and take on a few responsibilities that aren’t usually asked of them if they feel they can. She can read other’s auras and sense intentions and emotions of sorts, so she can generally get a good read on how someone is doing, but she can’t consistently do that with everyone, so while she’ll use this ability when necessary to enforce that someone take a break so they don’t fall apart, not every unstable case is known to her. This is the main reason why she slightly overlooks Lance for a while. When he first found Guardienne, he panicked immediately, rushing her to Ewelein and not even truly believing her death until many days after the event. Huang Hua - having sensed his shock and panic blocking out any other emotions - let it go for a few days; everyone goes through their own grieving process, some immediately and some not until many years afterwards. There was nothing that anyone could do for him until Guardienne’s death hit him fully. However, she also knew from her abilities that Lance was in love with her, or at very least had a deep liking for Guardienne, so the instant a few members of the guard come to her expressing serious concerns regarding Lance’s recent aggression and distance, Huang Hua knows immediately that it needs to be dealt with. This grief was an unknown factor in Lance’s new life - but his past with this type of grief shows clearly that this can really fuck him up - so it needed to be discussed, otherwise he risks spiraling back into the same place he was seven years ago.
She’ll approach him when he’s alone, or if they’re in a relatively public space she’ll take him somewhere private, sensing all the while the breathtakingly painful feeling of agony, anger and distress that’s clouding his mentality. It was just the same as when he was Ashkore, how did he not yet break? He’ll refuse to follow her if he knows she wants to talk about his emotions - ironic since he’s always been open to sharing his perspective and thoughts - so she’ll just tell him that she needs to talk to him in private regarding a few anonymous tips from some guards members if he happens to ask why.
Being alone with an unstable, emotionally distraught dragon with a history of violence while under heavy states of grief does unsettle her a bit, but she knows the outcome of this will be much worse if he truly feels isolated. He’s not going to reach out for help by himself - he doesn’t know how to, nor does he probably want to - so she needs to be the one to reach out to him and help him stabilize himself before another situation like Valkyon’s death occurrs.
She’ll consider first talking alone with him in his room - where he’d likely feel most comfortable - but considering he’d likely be defensive, that could then translate into aggression in his own territory, and that may lead her to being forced out of his room for her own safety. Lance has certainly changed in temperament, but heavy grieving emotions can blind someone, so there’s really no promising that nothing... destructive may happen, no matter how much he’s changed in patience.
She then considers talking with him in the conference room, but there isn’t a whole lot of privacy there. The conference room is more for business, rather than personal, private, emotional conversations. The last thing Lance needed in this moment was for his emotions to be treated even slightly like a business confrontation and not as an important part of his being. Frankly, even on a day where he’s feeling just fine he would never accept anyone’s emotions to be treated like a business issue, so the last thing she wanted was to imply that by bringing him into a room that could do just that.
Huang Hua then thinks over the idea of talking to him in her room; it would likely be safer, after all. He probably won’t become territorial or aggressive as it’s not his territory, and it’ll be a gentle reminder that she’s happy to welcome him into her personal life to help comfort him (therefore defeating the concern that it could seem like a business confrontation), but since it’s her territory he might emotionally shut himself down. It can be uncomfortable to fall apart in someone else’s room, especially knowing they’re higher ranking and could be interrupted at any moment to deal with something else...
Then she wonders if she should bring him outside of the guard to speak with him - somewhere that’s private and on neutral ground. That way they’d both be in strange territory and may not be interrupted, and if they are they’d receive prior warning by noticing that someone was walking their way.
Of course, Huang Hua then realizes that - no matter how much she’d like to think that she understands what would make Lance most comfortable - she truly doesn’t know what would help him best, but she can be there to provide support at very least, regardless of where they are. At the end of the day, Lance would probably know where he’d feel most comfortable, so when she approaches him to talk, saying that it’s an important but private conversation, she’ll ask him where he would rather talk. He’ll be slightly hostile, especially when he picks up on the fact that she’s going out of her way to word things carefully and prioritize his comfort, but he’ll decide to talk somewhere private outside the guard, where no one is around.
And that’s how Huang Hua finds herself in the middle of the open plains, far away from the guard to talk to a dragon who might as well be stabbing himself with his own dagger with how he’s been allowing himself to feel as of late. She’ll start off gently, telling him the recent concerns of a few anonymous guard’s members and Lance will stand a few feet away and listen coldly with a blank expression until she suggests that he take a few days off. He’ll debate things with her then, and it’ll escalate slowly until Lance is clearly distressed but still unmoving in his decision to remain active, and Huang Hua will know then that she can’t be gentle anymore...
“Lance, take a few days off, for your sake.”
“No.” His tone is harsh and cold as he snaps at her. “The guard needs me, there’s so much I need to do - so much I need to repay-” He didn’t mean to let that last statement slip - after all, his actions certainly couldn’t be made up for, right? - but emotions can be a powerful thing, can’t they?
“You won’t be able to do any of that if you’re destroying everything you’ve helped rebuild in the process.” Lance is pacing, keeping his eyes trained to the ground. Huang Hua - despite her anxiousness at the dragon being so stubborn on decisions made under heavy negative emotions - tries to keep a comforting, open atmosphere to avoid furthering any issues. “You know the pain you’ve cast upon on others, you’ve felt that same sort of pain now and you need to take time to be able to recover from that.”
“I can’t take time, it’s not something I can just accept! Everyone I’ve hurt before never had time to accept the situation before I made it worse, but they still pushed forward! There’s no reason for me to have it any easier!”
“And where would we be if we treated you the same way you used to treat the world? Would we be any better than how you used to be?”
Lance stops pacing but his eyes remain on the ground, his throat constricting as his thoughts run rampant. Would they be the same as how he used to be if they allowed him to keep running himself this way? He’s done terrible things, but he’s spent many years trying to keep that from happening again. Certainly he’s an asset to the guard now, so would it be cruel of them to ignore his distress? Or would it be justified payback for everything he’s done?
“Lance, you’ve done wonderful things the past seven years, and we want you to continue that and I know you want to continue that as well. Take some time off so you can do that without destroying yourself or your environment. Don’t ignore your pain like it’s nothing - it’s not nothing, and you have the resources to deal with it in a better way now. Use those resources, Lance, it’ll help you work your way through this.” Huang Hua’s tone is gentle and soft as she pleads with him, hoping that her blunt words will reach his common sense.
He tries to argue this, stuttering the beginning of sentences to try and disprove her point, grasping for any reason as to why his pain is invalid. However, Lance finds that there’s no sound argument against Huang Hua’s words, and constricting panic, horror, and then heavy tides of grief will hit him as he realizes that he is, in fact, dragging himself into his own downfall. He is his own worst enemy, once again.
In any manner, this is all his fault - his past actions, Guardienne’s distress of what’s changed that lead to her death, his emotional isolation, and disruption of the guard is all because he doesn’t know how to deal with himself and his abyss of emotions. How did this happen to him? He was never the type of person to deny and hide away his emotions, so how is it he ended up caging himself like this when under personal grief? Is it because the situation is so personal to him that he has a hard time allowing himself to seek comfort in others who likely couldn’t understand?
Lance will fall apart at this, closing his eyes and turning towards the ground to keep himself together, but falling apart all the same as grief overwhelms him one final time in a push that throws him over the edge. He’ll clench his fist and bow his head, bringing it over his mouth as he desperately tries to steady his breathing, to no avail as tears find their way from his eyes and his chest heaves in quieted sobs.
Huang Hua will lurch forward to comfort him, but stops as Lance whirls around to step back and snap at her - he didn’t want comfort, he wanted her back!
“Where were you for her!? Why didn’t anyone else see her pain!?” His eyes are tragedy and desperation underneath the weakened cold anger of ice blue, a faint few tears streaking down his face as his voice - thunderous and howling - cracks and breaks alongside his crumbling rage. If he couldn’t have fixed this, then someone else could have - why didn’t anyone fix this!?
“You know it’s not morally correct to monitor everyone’s private emotions all the time. What kind of leader would I be if I didn’t allow my people their privacy?” Huang Hua stills and clasps her hands together at her waist, understanding Lance’s outward anger. However, she realized his statement signaled something else as well; Lance could no longer fight why he should allow himself to grieve, so he was desperately clinging onto some semblance of needing to be distant by turning it to be someone’s fault - someone that he could hate.  “You are right in a way; of the many people who knew her, someone might have been able to catch how torn up she felt, but people who wish to hide their pain, or spend so long hiding their pain that it becomes a part of who they are, learn how to hide their pain in ways too complex for others to realize. And, Lance, if she didn’t want anyone to know about her grief, there wouldn’t have been much that I could have done anyways.”
“You could have helped her!” The dragon’s voice was weakening as he spoke, distant anger being replaced by a cold, hollow emptiness as he realized the truth in Huang Hua’s words.
“Only if she was ready for that help. You can’t force someone to accept help, you can only wait for them to allow themselves to be helped.”
“She wouldn’t want me to find relief during this time...” He looked away toward the ground and hung his head, blinking rapidly as he began to heave for breath. There must be a reason why he shouldn’t be allowed to feel this way .
“Do you think she would have wanted everything good you did - whether she knows what you did or not - to be destroyed because of your grief for her?” Lance’s eyes squinted closed and he tilted his head a bit further away from the phoenix. It seemed as though every reminder of everything good he’s done continues to leave him with a hollow chest. “I think if she witnessed firsthand everything you’ve done the past seven years she would have thought very differently about you now than what she did when first having woken up from the crystal.”
Lance turns to face his back towards her, resting a palm on his forehead before brushing his fingers back through his hair as a tremble rolls through him. He could feel pressure rising from his throat as he bared his teeth in an agonized snarl before parting his mouth to silently gasp for air. His head tilted back to look at the sky, only for a few tears to fall from his eyes when he releases a shaky breath.
“Lance, your situation with her was very unique - no one else could begin to understand exactly what you’re feeling from your history with her. Take some time so you can understand it - and fix, or do, or feel whatever you need to - so you can carry forward knowing yourself better.”
He wanted to fight her statement, but his moral compass argued with his resistance on this as well. If anything, of whatever terrible things came as a result of her death, there should be some good sought from it as well. What’s the point of accepting a tragedy if not to learn something from it as well, even if it’s something quiet that no one else knows you learned?
For the first time in a long while - if not ever - Lance allows himself to break and be comforted. He lets himself embrace the burning, stinging pain that rises in his chest as he turns his head back to the ground and collapses on his knees. Huang Hua immediately reacts and is by his side in moments, on her knees and laying a gentle hand on his shoulder as she leans against him slightly. Sobs escape his throat as his body tenses and curls forward slightly, bracing a hand on the ground to steady himself as tremulous waves of emotions - any and all emotions that could possibly be named - wash over him and leave him gasping for air.
“I miss her, too.” Huang Hua’s voice shakes now as she leans further against the dragon, bringing her arms as far around him as she can while her head rests against his shoulder, away from the spines on his pauldrons. Lance brings his other hand up and tightly grasps the forearm reaching across his chest.
Huang Hua had spent so much time trying to help others through this that she had completely forgotten to make sure she was alright as well, and seeing Lance - the man she least expected to be torn apart by this situation - completely break and fall apart before her eyes reminded her of the true depth of their loss. They didn’t just lose Eldarya’s savior, they had lost a friend, a great warrior, one of the last angels, someone who was pure at heart and wasn’t afraid to face the darkness of life without so much as a blink of hesitation. They had lost someone who gave everything for the world, and suffered because of it.
Minutes merged until they were unsure of how long they spent in the fields, but in time both of them calmed down. Lance - now able to think clearer on the subject - began to reflect on the situation.
“This wasn’t her fault... the blame is on all of us, for not having seen anything... but she must have known that someone would have been there for her if they knew how much she was hurting...” He murmured this quietly, waves of shame washing over him again as he realized he was perhaps pinning some of the blame on Guardienne. Was there really anyone to blame here? She must have known that someone would have been there for her if she sought help, but it’s not right for others to pry into the personal life of another if the intrusion is unwelcomed, and who was to say she wanted help in the first place? Had she given up? Would anyone have been able to stop her to begin with? Who was to blame, if there was anyone?
“There’s nothing we can do now except honor her and move forward.” Huang Hua whispered back with a shaky voice and Lance faintly nodded his head. There were many things that worked together to lead to this happening, and in between there also were moments where something could have helped deter it, both by her doing and by others. At the root core, everyone and anyone could have helped stop this in some way, even if it was by giving her a small passing smile that could have helped remind her that there is good and hope in the world, but there’s also no guarantee that anyone could have stopped it. Regardless, this is how things happened. They can’t change the past, but they can move forward with her in mind and learn from this.
Lance - despite his heavy grief and complex emotions on everything - begins to soften himself to the situation. He’s not the only one grieving. His situation may have been the most complicated, but he’s still in the same boat as everyone else. He doesn’t feel the need to sob alongside the others anymore, but he does find that whenever the group he’s in begins to fall apart into wailing, he’ll bow his head and won’t hide the obvious pain that he’s in at the reminder of his lost love. His feelings for Guardienne will be kept quiet, and he won’t openly say how he felt about her - it could still be seen as wrong in the opinion of some people for him to have fallen in love with the same woman he hurt so much, especially knowing her pain is what led to her death - but he won’t deny the truth of his feelings to those who caught on somehow. Lance will find that he’ll slowly begin to mend after this death, many months after of course, but it’ll happen, and in some ways this will help him move past his brother’s death as well. After all, in the end both Guardienne and Valkyon came to accept their final moments in life before allowing Lance’s past actions to bring about their end, and although one chose to die to help mend him and the other chose to die to help relieve herself, the root issue of the situation that led to their death was still very similar. He’ll have a hard time allowing himself to move past the fact that his actions played a major part in both deaths, but he realizes in time that that’s what happens when someone has a violent past. It’ll haunt for many years, and the effects of it can never be reversed, but in the end this only inspires him to work harder to provide a better world. Maybe he can’t erase what he did, but he can make sure it doesn’t happen again and work to provide Eldarya with as much good as he can provide now.
Without a doubt Guardienne’s death hits him hard, but he’ll be sure to come back twice as strong from this.
I hope you like this, Anon! I feel Guardienne’s suicide would definitely hit Lance hard and remind him subtly of Valkyon’s death, but I don’t see Lance being held down by this for too long. He’d heavily grieve for her for a good while before he eventually finds himself standing on two feet again and powering his way through life, if not for his own sake then for the sake of others, both alive and dead.

list of reasons i find Brook ridiculous
for brook’s birthday, ive decided to follow up my other two posts of this genre by dragging yet another idiot swordsman. i have everybrook open on my phone next to me. here we go
- first and foremost his most ridiculous crime is existing. as he’s already so ridiculous as a character, im going to talk only about things hes done
- i want to know, did Brook make a conscious effort to change his laugh to sound like his favorite song? how long did it take? what was the in between period like? what did his crew have to say about this? the rumbar pirates were big on playful teasing, did they let Brook live this down?
- ALTERNATIVELY: was brook’s laugh already like that? is that why bink’s sake is his favorite song? is that why it was York’s favorite-- oh we only made it two bullet points before i made myself sad
- relatedly i cannot make fun of anything Brook did in his backstory it will make me too sad. hes spared for now
- i DO want to say from a writing standpoint its so fucking ridiculous to me that he mentions twice being a convoy captain in the past and it never comes up again. oda?? why even bother to include something that cool if you weren't even going to do anything with it?? you could have said hes just always been a pirate but no. oda?? oda
- there was that bit where a bunch of people thought Brook was satan and addressed him as such (i think Satan-sama in the original, and the translation i read was like... Lord Satan or Lord Demon or something). not only did Brook never correct them, but he also ran with it and later used this case of mistaken identity as a reason to threaten to eat a man’s heart
- also both men and women were showing him their underwear in that bit. bi rights
- those satanists let Brook get kidnapped while saying they would try to summon him back. do you think they're still at it
- Brook is older than... basically every old man in the series. Garp, Whitebeard, Rayleigh... all of them. something about that is so weird to me and i cannot place why
- Brook has seen and can prove the existence of an afterlife in One Piece canon and its then never addressed again
- Brook missed so many huge events while being dead. im looking at a timeline rn and these include the obvious, like, roger’s execution and subsequent effect on in-world culture and society and whatever. but also things like the destruction of ohara (which was in his home sea), the founding of the world power known as the revolutionary army (which was about 20yrs ago), and the births of every other member of his crew. wack
- he seems to know about stuff related to the pirate king post time skip, and i wonder if thats because someone told him or he’s just playing along now. maybe he just thinks Luffy made up the term pirate king cuz it sounds cool and he wants to support his captain’s interests
- if he DID ask though, like, who did he ask? his managers? did he pull aside some fan asking for an autograph at a concert like “hey, you look like a knowledgable young lad, mind helping me out?”
- i would love to be there when someone takes the time to explain roger, the pirate king, raffle, the One Piece.... and Brook asks them “what is the One Piece?”.... and someone has to look him in the eye (...or not) and tell him “i don't know”
- Brook has technically died of fright (his soul left his body), like... at least once? it was luffy’s fault
- Brook was an urban legend on the florian triangle and i doubt he even knows that about himself
- when they're heading to fishmen island Brook gets all scared when they encounter a possible ghost ship and Usopp slaps him
- when captured by big mom he sleeps so godamn soundly and securely that he is harder to wake up than she is and this fact nearly gets a bunch of his crew killed
- Brook is the only character i can think of who has ever broken the fourth wall. he only did it once. maybe seeing the afterlife means he now knows hes in a manga. or maybe being isolated for 50 years just made his head be not screwed on right
- speaking of, there’s a bit in WCI at the wedding where Brook is decapitated. i don't know how it goes in the anime, but in the manga like... no one is shown to have decapitated him. his head just pops off. maybe he was just having fun
- also the bit where he rips the fake face off in wci. when someone calls him gross he cries
- there’s a bit in fishmen island where Brook is trying to ask Nami if he can see her panties (disgusting bastard) and he inadvertently protects her from being dehydrated by some guy they were fighting. except the panel setup reminds me a lot of / mimics ace protecting Luffy from Akainu, and it haunts me
- speaking of bits from fishmen island that haunt me, there's a page where it’s strongly implied Brook fucked a mermaid (maybe two). i will of course include the page here
Tumblr media
- yeah. sorry.
- when Brook first meets the strawhats he invites himself inside because “it’s cold out!” but he later admits in punk hazard that he cant feel cold. he was just lying
- no one introduces himself to Brook except Luffy for the entirety of thriller bark
- half related, Franky cradles Brook in his arms / carries Brook around for like a full scene in thriller bark
- there's a link two second bit in film gold where the crew is just relaxing while they're planning for how they're going to get Zoro back and they're all shown eating burgers from pirate mcdonalds or whatever. and Brook is eating a burger and hes so messy that hes got burger on his forehead, and Franky is next to him just looking at him
- Brook also wears fake skin in that movie
- Brook has a running gag where he gets upset when things refuse to eat him and i was going to make a joke about it but im wondering if maybe hes just afraid of being left behind........ made myself sad again
- he cries when a dragon won't eat him tho
- Brook admits to reading monster hentai when talking to Sanji and Kin’emon and if i have to be burdened with knowing that so do you
- when hes trying to figure out the weakness of the zombies on thriller bark he overhears one ate a salted fish and lost its shadow and immediately assumes “oh, must have been the fish!” idiot man
- where does his sword cane go when hes not using it. it just appears. where does he store it
- there's a bit where the strawhats all use a combo attack at thriller bark and the first step is firing an electrically charged Brook in a slingshot through oars/oz. he ends up in a wall and no one ever pulls him out. i don't even think the manga shows how he got down
- enemies post time skip regularly assume Brook is dead when they manage to knock the crew out and it makes me wonder how popular of a rock star Brook actually was
- Brook goes on a mini rant to no one while they're descending to fisherman island where he wonders aloud how he sees without eyes and it makes me lose it
- this isn't Brook technically but Nekomamushi is based on a song Brook’s voice actor wrote about his cat.
- Brook literally doesn't have a brain. like i know we all know that but its so fucking funny. we make jokes about other strawhats only having one braincell or whatever but Brook straight up 100% just has a seashell where his brain is supposed to be
-  why does he have rubber glove looking hands when hes haunting the castle at wano i fucking hate them
- relatedly, there’s a bit where Brook mentions he’s been, at kinemon’s interaction, sitting in a well for like... possibly days? is he okay
- honestly i love everything about Brook’s actions as a ghost in wano bc its so fucking funny but my FAVORITE fact is that Brook is in the wikipedia article about starving skeletons
Tumblr media
im leaving you with that. appreciate ur local skeleton today

Dragon Up Some Memories
truly, I was PSYCHED to write this for you @sugarglider9603
So a while ago I came up with a theory of how Espeon! Virgil evolved and asked if I could write it, which is actually why I started this whole project anyways
Note I went up and looked at a LOT of typing and such, and I know psychic is 4x strong against poison/fighting, but I didn't want Thomas poisoned, as well as I wanted the dragon type to be in there for.. theory reasons..
Also note, I am posting this EARLY for Tumblr (hence why there is no Ao3 link)
Ao3 link
Ao3 series link
Part 8 Part 10
Master post
Words: 1,305
Summery: ' "What a weakling, trainers are supposed to be strong, a challenge, but your just weak. Truly, a disgrace."
The memories of.. her crashed to a halt. That line.. was it..?
He wanted to ignore it, like he had done with the other ones, but the memory swarmed his vision. '
When trouble arrives, Virgil must realizes that family is stronger than his horrible past, and to save them, he needs to fight a past fear
Tumblr media
Virgil actually was thankful for being frozen stiff from fear, otherwise with the terror he felt, his shaking would have dropped leaves from the bush he was under for sure. A small opening through the branches showed the losing battle outside, eevees and eeveelutions fighting a large, familiar Kommo-o as they protected Thomas and Patton.
The team had been wandering through a forest for the last several days, exhaustion taking over the joy of camping. Even with Patton's attempt to make it cheerful, the Sylveon's attempts only worked the first few times. There had been many intense battles as well, wild pokemon attacking them when found within territory, case in point with the current fight.
The difference? Patton, who would have had the fairy type advantage against a dragon/fighting, had fainted not an hour earlier. Even with Thomas's over stocking himself on potions and revives for the long forest journey, wild Oran and Sitrus Berries had become their only source of HP restorers after so many battles.
The human and Slyveon had in fact meant to hide with Virgil (who froze the moment he saw the Kommo-o) but where dragged out in the middle of the field. Now Roman, Logan, Janus, and Remus stood fighting. But fire, dark, and normal type moves could only do so much, especially with this Kommo-o being extremely quick and powerful.
The dark furred Eevee could only stare. This scene, it was familiar, too familiar, so much it hurt. Looking at the battle reminding himself of memories of getting hurt. He couldn't even shake his head, eyes plastered to the ongoing battle as attack after attack dragged his mind farther back, all the way-
The Kommo-o, done and angered by someone trespassing on its territory, twisted in a circle dragging its shining tail near the ground, knocking the remaining four back to Thomas by a powerful Dragon Tail. It advanced on Thomas, terror taking his trainer's eyes, his friend's face. His family laid around the boy, too weak to stand and fight back.
"You dare trespass" the Kommo-o hissed as though Thomas could understand, sunlight bathing its scales "and then are to weak to even get away. Pathetic human and human pets" it stomped right front Thomas, claw raised, ready to give a viscous slash, Thomas was going to die-
"What a weakling, trainers are supposed to be strong, a challenge, but your just weak. Truly, a disgrace."
The memories of.. her crashed to a halt. That line.. was it..?
He wanted to ignore it, like he had done with the other ones, but the memory swarmed his vision.
______________________________

Eevee stood facing his foe, grass and happy flowers petting his dark fur. The two pokemon's trainer stood in the middle, screeching directions. His teammate Jangmo-o stood opposite field, definitely not as terrified as Eevee was.

Eevee wished he had a name, it would make it much easier to self deprecate on how bad of a battler he was. Thankfully, their trainer did the work for him.

"So slow, you need to be quick if your going to actually hit your target for once!"

"Are you a Caterpie with that strength?! No, there are probably Metapods that could beat you in battle!"

"Why do I keep you, waist of a party slot"

Eevee was brought out of this trance by being knocked back, Jangmo-o standing where he once was.

"For Arceus sakes! Pay attention you useless pokemon!" His trainer stormed over, grabbing the shaking Eevee hard by his scruff "What a weakling, pokemon are supposed to be strong, a challenge, but your just weak. Truly, a disgrace" she spat, throwing his shakey form back to the ground.

Walking back she turned to Jangmo-o, who was cowering themself "I wont have you be a weakling either, I just need Eevee to level up and evolve into a dragon type already" she growled like a Charizard "we will continue training now."

She turned back to Eevee, who was struggling but slowly getting back to his feet, and wickedly smiled

"Now Jangmo-o, use Dragon Tail."

______________________________

Now named Virgil, the Eevee couldn't stop staring. No wonder the pokemon looked so familiar, no wonder it hated trainers, especially weak ones

no wonder Virgil was so terrified of it. Of Him.

Jangmo-o was Virgil's constant battle partner with her, and Jangmo-o never held back. They were both too scared. After his old trainer found Eevees had no dragon evolution, she threw Virgil away, Remus not noticing when he found Virgil in the dumpster, but his old pokeball snapped in half next to him.

Fury suddenly raged in Virgil's mind. After all that, of Kommo-o probably being thrown away too, he still couldn't see why he hated humans. Hated Thomas. They weren't all bad.

And then Kommo-o slashed his claws.

It only caught Thomas' cheek, but blood started to pour. The boy looked white as snow, and Virgil saw red.

That. Was Thomas. That was his team laying weak and battle fainted around them

Virgil took a step out of the bushes, not a single paw trembling

Kommo-o knew the evil of humans, but he'd also seen the good

he felt as though each step left singed grass, as though Roman had used flamethrower on the earth

That. Was. His. Thomas.

Kommo-o turned from the other side of the field, eyes flashing in surprise as this small dark furred Eevee walked out, somehow.. familiar

That. Was. His. Team.

Recognition flashed in his eyes "well Eevee, we meet again weakling" Kommo-o snapped the air, the others weakly lifting their heads in confusion, pure fear filling their sight as they saw Virgil stalking slowly closer, the light bouncing of his fur as though sunlight and shadows where fighting

Those. Where. His. FRIENDS.

"Hello little Jangmo-o, she throw you out too?" He growled

That.

The pokemon growled "she threw me out, I wasn't 'strong enough'. Humans are ALL the same, and I'll teach everyone I meet. They're all weak"

Was.

Virgil's fur seem to glow more, eyes narrowed to slits as anger pulsed through him. Not just anger, power. It urged him to take it, to save. To save them

His

"Weaklings, all of them" Kommo-o grinned "just. Like. You."

The sun yearned for him. Take it, take it! Save! Save! Save! Save! Save! Virgil accepted its power.

Its drummed threw him, his blood felt like fire as he snapped forwards, bolting to the other pokemon. The light the light the light-

"THAT" Virgil screeched "IS MY FAMILY"

Bright light encased him as he slammed into Kommo-o. The pokemon staggered backwards, surprised by the force but stood back up.

Or he would have, if the ground was under his feet.

Because instead of a glowing white Eevee, something much slimmer stood in his place.

His family gaped as a soft lavender paw lightly stepped forwards, a tail that split into two half way down swished as rage filled eyes glowed bright blue alongside a gem centered on his forehead. The surprised calls of pokemon caused the team to look around to see that the Kommo-o.. wasn't the only thing floating.

Trees seemed to be so still, they might as well be photograph. Leafs, sticks, even entire fallen branches lifted into the air around the small clearing the battle had taken place, and even more beyond. Several pokemon outside their battle zone floated too, pure terror of the sudden harsh hold. The Espeon in front of them blinked, before calmly, almost sweetly tilted his head.

The Kommo-o slammed straight into the ground.

Virgil turned to Thomas and the others, blinking away the blue from his eyes as everything else calmly settled to the ground, pokemon running off as soon as the touched earth.

The others were stunned before

"You.. look amazing Virgil" the Espeon grinned back as Thomas smiled.

Nat and Bruce were watching Eva spar with Sam from the observation level.
"Wow, she really is much stronger than before... how do you think that happened? I mean last time we saw her she almost died." Pondered Nat.
"I'd put money on something Asgardian." Replied Bruce.
Eva easily overpowered Sam multiple times. Then motioned to Bucky to join in. Bucky took her down a few times, but she bested the Super Soldier more often than not. Sweating she sat for a few minutes and caught her breath. Nat and Bruce took the opportunity to go talk to them.
"Eva, you seem more powerful than before you married Loki, what's up?" Asked Nat
"Well I guess it's the rune." She replied indicating the mark on her shoulder.
"Your tattoo? What does that have to do with anything?"
"After the last battle we were in, it came to light someone, who shall remain nameless, added some protection runes to the tattoo without me knowing.. the Asgardians think that's why I didn't die, a combination of my Dragon strength along with the Runes Loki put in my tattoo, was enough to keep me barely breathing. One was his rune that's this one..." she painted to the one closest to her heart "here feel, it's cold. The other was a…I guess you'd call it generic protection. Then, after we were married on Asgard Odin gave me my own protection and strength rune." She pointed to the rune on the opposite end "I think because he assigned it to me, it's stronger. Loki's rune Kaunaz, drains his strength when it heals me, so now I try not to use it."
"Told you. Asgardian." Said Bruce.
"Well I'm going to shower, change and grab a book. Sam and Bucky, save some time for me tomorrow ok?"
"Sure Doll." Replied Bucky
"Maybe tomorrow I'll take the day off." Muttered Sam.
Later that evening after they all had eaten dinner Stephen came by to welcome Loki and Eva back. Taking their seats in the common room talk of the wedding began.
"So have you made any decisions on the wedding yet?" Asked Tony.
"Yep" was Eva's only response.
"Pipsqueek, I know that you have made some progress right?" He prodded.
"Ok fine seeing as all of the people I want to talk to are actually here right now..." Turning to Clint "I've heard from a little insect that you are ordained.... Please tell me they weren't yanking my chain."
"Yeah, a while ago I presided over a friends wedding... are you both asking..."
"Please, Clint, it would make Eva and I very happy if you would preform the ceremony." Asked Loki.
"Yeah, sure I'd be honored... thanks for asking."
"On to the next ask... Tony, Stephen and Thor, I would like my brothers to walk me down the aisle. Would you three be willing?"
"Ok so how would that work, last time I checked you only had two arms..." asked Stephen.
"Simple, Tony you on my left, Stephen you on my right, and Thor, you always have my and Loki's backs so you behind me. What do you guys say?"
"Before you answer I would like all three of you to stand up with me. Further adding to her unconventional wedding." Asked Loki.
"So you'd walk me down and take your places with Loki."
"Sister, and Brother I would be honored." Rumbled Thor.
"Anything to make you both happy." Replied Stephen.
"Yeah, I'm in, so long as this is what you want. But I reserve the right to pick out what we three wear”. Tony indicated himself Thor and Stephen. “and have some say in what Loki wears."
"Of course…Awesome this is coming along..." turning to the women, "Nat, Pepper and of course Wanda, would you stand up with me?"
"Certainly, but do we get a say in what we wear?" They all responded
"Most definitely!!!" Eva laughed
"Also know that by saying yes it means you must go dress shopping with me.. and you too Stephen."
"Wait, what? How did I get roped into dress shopping?" Doctor Strange laughed.
"Because you are my big brother and also will be the eyes for Loki, you and Wanda saw what I wore on Asgard, and his reaction to it, I want to get that same reaction but times ten."
"Very well, the things I do for you, little one."
"So next is location...." Loki paused "Tony we would like to get married here, one level for the wedding, the other for the reception."
"Here? In the tower... you're serious?"
"Deadly," Loki drew out the word as he said it "it's where I first saw her, then where I was introduced to her, most of our happy memories are in this building. I hope you're ok with it, we have our hearts set on it."
"Umm yeah, that's fine, it's all part of your theme of 'unconventional' I guess. Great we're throwing a wedding!" Tony announced
The room erupted and Loki held Eva to his chest. The feeling of love and friendship oozing from the room was high.
As the roar died down Eva looked at the ladies and Stephen, “ Oh I should say that we have an appointment at Klienfelds a week from Tuesday at 2 is everyone ok with that?" Everyone agreed the time would be fine. "Stephen, I'm going to ask that you wear regular clothes to this appointment, please?"
"I can do that you know, it just that these clothes are really comfortable. Jeans and a t shirt ok?”
“Great , but how about a button down shirt? Please?” She gave him her sad puppy eyes.
“Fine” Stephen replied rolling his eyes.
"Loki and I are still working on the guest list, we're going to try to keep it to people on this planet, at least for now. Except for his parents the warriors three and Brun.”
