Decided to screen record the funniest battle I've had in hsr, nearly 7 minutes of just Argenti's turn... His turn is forever... He aint letting that cycle go down from 5, love that for him. Everyone else is mostly just 🧍 especially the enemies, I felt a lil bad for Cocolia, not so much though, that's payback for the many turns she gets in SU.

I'm honestly kinda annoyed at parts of the hi3 & hsr playerbase for seeing the words "flamer chasers Journey" in regards to amphoreus and are forcing the what is likely the playable cast of the chyros heirs to be counterparts/expies of the hi3 flame chasers/MOTH characters

Like currently the only 2 who kinda are in some form a variant/expy/counterpart of MOTH is Cyrene/original march who is kinda sorta elysia but is likely meant to be Elieen & Cipher who visually looks and feels a bit like pardofelis.

Through the 3.0 storyline and partially through the visuals and such, phainon is meant to be an expy/variant of Adam, one of the few male valkyries who is the main mc of APHO, with Mydei being an expy/variant of Lyle, Adam's sniper support who also has tons of subtext of them being kinda sorta a couple.

Then you have the triplets who make up Tribbie who are 3 different theresa variants, Castorice who visually looks a bit like the mc of the mobile exclusive otome of hoyo's but ends up being a mix of Benneras(her dragon summon looks and sounds more like hers) with Herscher of Rebirth Seele(shares the colour scheme and theming plus she is looking for her twin) For those who want to know how I came to the conclusion that phainon is adam, well his entire theming of labours of heracles/hercules and wearing the jacket of Adam in the colours of Amphoreus doesn't really say Kevin. Most Kevin playable expies either have a bird or a bat in their themes, are released with a Su variant/expy(who all have peacock theming, even if sometimes more subtle) and in hsr, both people who are romantically(either canon or fanon) intertwined with Kevin both have a variant who released in the penacony patches(Acheron is a Dr Mei, her myriad points to that & Aven is a Su), meaning that Sunday should be the Kevin. Penacony did also have among the possible enemies someone who used Eden's body

those who use the argument of jp/cn vas are the same, not all expy/variants share both sets of vas or any and its not been a requirement(like it can add to them being an expy/variant but isn't the end all for it). There is also cases of characters in hoyo games using both cn/jp vas and not being an expy/variant at all for the character.

if she has the same voice as elysia from honkai impact 3rd (which seems likely considering some of the amphoreous characters seem to be based on a specific group of hi3 lore heroes and mihoyo has kept jp and cn VAs the same for alt universe versions of characters in case you or anyone reading the ask wasnt cursed with honkai impact) and/or does the "hiiiii" thing i will become spiderman

i will climb mihoyos offices and deliver a letter that just says "no :(" before leaving

i want every trace of elysia and hyacine wiped off the face of the galaxy and i will become an emanator of lan for that end

okay actually? the pacing of the new story sucked. like really really sucked. felt like it went back way too many times on the same points. also. STOP WITH THE PUZZLES! we're having a competitive run to the goal and WE'RE STUCK DOING PUZZLES. holy shit that was bad. i mean hsr was guilty of breaking the pace with puzzles sometimes (i don't remember any of it because of my long ass pause) but this was bad BAD!!!

well... some yapping from the gist i got... (very untrustworthy opinion) (i also went in without seeing any of trailers and my expectations were based on something i heard someone yap about)

i love castorice. cookie points for also working as a translator between titans and humans. nothing much to point out, i just love her. 0 negative thoughts about her appeared during my attempt to perceive the story.

nice friendship-rivalry between phainon and mydei... too bad they're blue&red dudes in a gacha game... i'm not hoping that they will avoid yaoi. i mean, flag in hands, go for it, but if that happens, i will have to avoid them. easy task, but annoying.

as for them separately...

me expecting a kevin expy to act like him was silly. coolish, even. he's solid, now give him a huge flaming greatsword (that was never in hsr in the first place) (keeping mc's bat will also do) and break his facade. also. need to see cn opinions on his and caelus' VA... iirc. what if someone did a bit.

mydei is alright. absolutely have nothing to like about his archetype, but he works. i hope he doesn't take the huge flaming greatsword in the end (that will not end up in hsr)

aglaea is cool. loved (YAAAAY QUESTIONABLE WOMEN<3) and HATED (boundaries owie) the scene when she put her golden strings on us. i hope they won't pull an elysia on her (set up as questionable and untrustworthy, the bestest and the idealest by the end and your wife who you trust unconditionally). please. hoyoverse. make her lose humanity completely, not gain it and be the embodiment of it.

i do not care about the child trio :( cn vo actually was kinda grating. they did their job, sure. but uuuuuh, not the characters for me...

Uhh today's progress log, ummm a lot of things happened that I didn't really understand, which yeah I skipped like 25 chapters, but I don't think that's the only reason.

The home city bgm is so good and totally stuck in my head. Very soothing and nice in a Space Walk-y way.

Speaking of which, also finished all the stuff in the first part of the crossover. This is... not at all what I thought this was gonna be, based on the first announcement trailer. I feel I might not have ever bothered picking up HI3 if it had advertised the crossover as "Just Space Poker." That said, Space Poker is actually pretty fun.

Sparkle took just about full pity on both character and weapon, which sucks, 'cause I was hoping to have enough left for phoenix-girl rerun coming next, but guess I won't unless I get lucky there. Anyhow, equipped with her full signature gear, Sparkle is absolutely obliterating everything that my no-weapon Vita wasn't already... which is good, because now I've been moved into the 70-80 tier of Q-Land, and my girls are only exactly 70 and I'm out of EXP chips (and skill mats, and most everything else). I hear captain levels used to be a lot slower and yeah, I think this speed might be a bit too high, 'cause I do not have the resources to keep up with the levels it wants me to be.

Speaking of Sparkle... her Chinese VA sounds like a different person than HSR? She's higher-pitched. I have no idea why they would do that when they reuse the same people so liberally for lookalike characters. I can't find the CN HI3 VA listed anywhere yet. If it is the same woman, it's a really different performance.

Speaking of speaking of Sparkle, her entrance animation has her hum a little song, and I feel like that's gotta be some HSR song reference, but I don't recognize it.

One reason I skipped ahead to Pt 2 was because the starter bonuses needed me to clear p2-c1 to continue getting their huge rewards. Unfortunately now it wants me to play APHO within the next 60 days... Skipping ahead to that seems likely to be a much bigger issue than skipping to Pt 2 in terms of story continuity, but I guess I'm gonna have to at some point to not throw away a free 1000+ crystals and whatever else. Aside from that, the other priority is getting done whatever needs doing to get the free Elysia while she's available, which might mean grinding out a lot of Pt 2. I'm skipping all the side missions for now though, so hopefully it won't be impossible.
