Astarion had not seen him wherever he was. The perfect opportunity to pursue his selections and hope the man was not dull in taste. He sat down as casually as he pleased. Fingers tapped along their spines one by one. All magical nonsense that he could see. Not a work of fiction among them. He’d been halfway through his exploration when he heard the soft footfalls. Shit.

He had been caught. His smile was pleasant on his face. So sweet. It worked on his targets before. A play at innocence. “There you are! I was just about to go looking for you. Your collection is rather drab. Don’t you read anything else other than—” He pulled one of the tomes free and made a show of squinting at the cover. “—Silverhand’s Theory on Enchantments?”

And that's been... that's been hard for me."

He sniffs, shifting on his feet. "It's really nice of you to give me this present, but I don't know if I'll use it. It might not even work if I did try it anyway because... well. My body is kinda weird." He smiles a little shakily, hand gripping the syringe in full. "But I'll take it. Maybe one day I'll need it, or maybe one of my bros will."

"Thanks for the present still. I appreciate it." He smiles kindly. I just can't change something I'm starting to like. Not right now. Maybe not ever.

my prof just explained on the syllabus that he’s included more points in the class than we needed to pass, so we could skip up like?? 20 small assignments/quizzes/participation!! and still get a very high grade!!

the idea was that we could focus on assignments that played to our strengths - only do the participation stuff if we like to talk out loud - only do the quizzes/readings if we want to do the class remotely - only do online discussions if we like to talk and share opinions but struggle with anxiety in class ect.

and that’s cool enough but then he pulled up DnD character sheets with drawings he’d done of these hypothetical student player classes and how our various accessibility needs could be gamified to ‘max out’ different aspects of the class to get high grades and like!!!!!

hell yeah!!!! let’s treat accessibility in higher education not just as a necessity but as the fun, engaging, and creative aspect of learning that it is!!! I love this!!
